Right now it's easier to stick to fiat for this kind of "thing".
Terrorist are not going to risk their money into dubious exchanges and in no way they are going to start exchanging 100$ via localbitcoins. They need money, a lot of and sadly large transactions in the blockchain can easily be traced.
You're not "funding" terrorist with 100k a month. Also, good luck using bitcoins in Syria or Iraq.

I've been away for some time from the forum and I need a bit of info for a material about bitcoin mining past and what might be in the future
I'm calculating profitability only in terms of electricity bill/ profit in usd , I'm not taking into account roi or anything else, also not interested in the so called free electricity.
So I need the data about the most efficient miners in the past two years. As I understand the s9 was released in June 2016 and the s7 in august 2015 (correct me if i'm wrong). Were those two the most efficient at any given time or do I have to take others into account?
I wrote a post a month ago that perfectly answers your questions: http://blog.zorinaq.com/bitcoin-electricity-consumption/ In short: - Jun 2015: KnC Solar at 0.07 J/GH
- Oct 2015: S7 (BM1385) at 0.25 J/GH
- Nov 2015: Canaan Avalon 6 (A3218) at 0.29 J/GH
- Jun 2016: S9 (BM1387) at 0.10 J/GH
- Oct 2016: Bitfury 16nm at 0.06-0.13 J/GH
- Nov 2016: Canaan Avalon 721/741 (A3212) at 0.15 J/GH
The post also links to a CSV file that shows the real world profitability of an Antminer S5 over the course of its lifetime, given the evolution of the difficulty, price of Bitcoin, etc Thanks a lot man, a lot to plagiarize here ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) )). Don't worry I'm not publishing my research and also I'll do my own calculations as I needed it for different scenarios , energy plans. But once again, wow, good work on that material. @QuintLeo Thanks for the additional info. I won't take into account mining hardware that wasn't really available for anyone to buy , hell never heard of KNC solar, this is the first time in my life. I'll stick to s7 and s9 so I won't spend to much time with it and get lost in numbers. After all I'm not going to write a master degree about it.

These prices are not made by Bitcoin going up but Euro going down. Euro is one of the worst currencies out there because it's based on many member countries. Many countries mean many problems and if one of the links in the chain breaks... Euro could lose its value very fast and become worth just a few satoshis.
Really, that's the cause for this price? Then i'm making you and offer that you can't refuse. How about I sell you 1 btc for 60 000 euros? That's 20 times as cheap as the price above! I'm sure you're not going to cling to that worthless euro.

As the proverb goes, come and take it
Geography starts playing a role when all other roles have been played off and it becomes impossible to defend some area militarily. But GB proved that it can defend it. If they couldn't they would likely try to save the face by pretending that the Falklands are too far from the motherland and they are not worth a penny. Right now it is Argentina who is in a position like this. Really, what prevents them from taking these wretched islands with force if they are so close while Britain is so far?
It seems to me that at this point of time Argentina is not that interested in forcibly asserting its sovereignty over the Falkland Islands. The Argentine economy is not doing that great. But there is another important factor as well. The military strength of the UK is going down with every passing year. The Argentines may be waiting for the UK to become really weak, before they could wage a war against them If you wait by the river long enough, the bodies of your enemies will float by Though I don't think that the military machine of GB has completely rusted down, at least, not full yet. The Argentinians may have to wait too long till GB becomes weak enough to give the Falklands back to Argentina. It took almost 5 centuries till last Roman legion left Britain itself. But if it is ever going to that, the British may just sell the islands to some entity or country more powerful than themselves if they don't want to go through the humiliation of voluntary returning the islands to Argentina and still less suffer the consequences of military defeat It's going to be a long long waiting game. It might happen that the entire river will either change it's course or go dry. History repeats itself but not always. How long since the last war between countries in Western Europe? We are right now in the longest peace period between the major powers in Europe since the dark ages..

Bitcoins are more secure I guess, it cant be easily raid by bank robbers. It cant be easily hack by hackers as they need to hack the whole blockchain.
Just make sure you save your bitcoin properly, dont lose your password paraphrase.
Of course robbers can't get into your house and steal your laptop or your phone or whatever you have your wallets on. And good luck claiming afterwards that you had so many bitcoins when the police comes. The problems with bitcoins is that once the security fails there is no chance of getting them back. Just look how people are getting their bitcoins back.... not.

Yeah, what is so wrong with "," as thousand separator and "." as decimal point? I don't get why people have to create some sort of variation with the way we type numbers. Now even google is confused what to use. Instead of seeing a single digit number with multiple numbers after the decimal, it actually interpreted it as a number in the thousands. Can everyone stop using "," as a decimal point?! That is why it is called a decimal point because it has a "point"
Great idea, but nothing will change too soon. Because we drive on the left and on the right , we have km and meters or miles furlongs yards, grams and oz, even different voltage, inches and cm, barrels and liters and ... should I go on? Our greatest achievement was to finally have a single type of phone charger after 10 years and you think about changing the , . ? Not in our lifetime. Certainly not mine.

I don't think UK would want war at this point, especially for a small territory, however strategic the location is. Imagine how much trouble it would be when a NATO member attack another member. What would the other members do anyway? The split with EU has revealed disunity in the UK, with some parts wanting to remain in the Union. Even within parts that is not likely to secede, support for Brexit is not full, imagine the people's reaction when their gov't go to war for a territory that wanted to stay in. Oh, how they dare insult me! Pushes red button ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) NATO won't lift a finger. NATO is meant as an organisation that deals with external threats. That's why both Greece and Turkey became NATO members, to calm the waters. In case of Gibraltar rumors those are pure rumors and stupid declarations made by stupid people. A war will not happen in Europe and certainly not between Spain and the UK. Also, unlike the Falklands, Gibraltar voted for the EU , so you won't be able to defend somebody if he doesn't want that. And if somebody is stupid enough to believe that this "war" would be good for bitcoin he should really have a check.

And not for a single moment you thought about typing 1 instead of 5.487 to see how much 1 single BTC is worth according to google.
And the difference between . and , has caused a lot more problems in the past. I saw official documents where they typed wrong the , and the . Increasing the value 1000 times. And it wasn't funny when those were your tax papers.

With the hardware wallets like Trezor, I would just ask. What happens when my Trezor dies down the road and the company that creates them no longer exists? Is there a way to recover my bitcoins from the seed in such a case?
If it dies in a ditch by the road and you're lucky it might bloom into a beautifull bitcoin tree from the seeds in it.

Anyone who has a spent even a tiny amoutn of time researching this coin knows it was just a money pit, pumped by shill accounts who have gone missing, projects nobody but an idiot could believe and probaby the most incompetent fan base in the world.

Dogecoin now is in the new Alt19+ Index. DOGE is still included in the oldest Altcoin Market Index Alt19. DOGE is one of the most famous and time proven coins, trading volume over the last 30 days is $ 1'202'905 (Poloniex), $164'103 (Bittrex), $29'086 (Cryptopia) monthly inflation rate is at 0.37% according to my radar AltcoinMagic. alt19 Doge is a shadow of the shadow of a starved dog shadow of what it was years ago Trading volume, use, attention everything is down to 0,0.. insert lots of numbers here %. Let the dog rest in bits.

Loving every damn bit of it
People who firmly believe those are bitcoins STOLEN from bitfinex are asking PROOF from an alleged hacker are calling this a SCAM all the while hoping to win the pot of 1000 coins they are almost certain are STOLEN coins.
Also , there is another race of pokemons out there , who's virtue is calling them to
Help people not spend 0.001 of a possible SCAM , because previously everybody could got in without spending money and hoping to get their hand on 1000 STOLEN coins without RISKS.
the human species is doomed
