It's still being mined so it's not dead. The dev had 50% of the coins and dumped a lot of them on the exchnges. If any new exchange open back up he will do the same. So , stop mining this dead coin. |

I think you made my point. MZC started higher due to speculation based on bitcoin. It is still in it's price discovery phase as we work on adoption and usage.
So it's going to 1 dogetoshi as there is no adoption and no usage. Actually both adoption rate and usage have dropped since the peak so this might end a coin where you must pay somebody to take it from you. |

Actually that value is not true. You have 6500$ of coins if the price keeps the same level while you sell all your coins. It won't happen. You're looking more to some 4000$. What's that? The average wage in a well developed country for 1 month? Go to a shop in the US and tell me what can you buy for 10 000 people with 4000$. You'll spend more on gas that the goods. The same could be said of bitcoin 4 years ago. That's some thing people don't understand. From the start mazacoin had a value of x satoshi... based on what? Nothing. It actually got the price purely based on how people thought mazacoin would follow bitcoin. Bitcoin went through all the values from 10 000 a pizza to 1 btc =1000$ on demand and usage it didn't start at a value of x usd. Mazacoin started from an arbitrary point and it's still on an arbitrary point based on no real usage just speculation. So stop comparing any other coin with bitcoin. |

But with solarcoin, the premine is what allows for solar power grants, which will ultimately be the source of value for this coin. If you get rid of solarcoin's premine, solarcoin will die, and the entire purpose behind the project will be null and void. The problem is that there is no way to verify where the coins are going. Nice  Not nice at all. If a single "bored" person can double the hashrate it means the security of this coins is down the drain. A lot of coins suffer the problem of low hash rates.
