12706  Other / Archival / Re: Coins max TPS - - Transactions per second - - on: April 11, 2018, 09:32:54 PM
Thanks for suggestion.
I would like to do that, or find someone who can do it better than me.
Anyone willing to help please PM.
The first step you can do - without much work - is to include the source of the TPS value you post.

If I knew your sources, I could help and distinguish "real" TPS from "test/controlled environment" TPS.

You did try that with your last update:

Quote
... but unfortunately, "CoinCheckup" itself does not post the source where it took the value from. Particl is a heavily modified Peercoin clone, so I don't think its code is optimized much with respect to Bitcoin. 97 tps would mean, in a Bitcoin-based currency, a block size of 30 MB (with 10 minute blocks, otherwise, a throughput of 3 MB/minute). I consider that a relatively realistic value but it would lead to very high hardware requirements for full nodes. So I can only imagine this tps value is the result a "controlled environment test" and not the maximum tps value from the mainnet.

It would imply a bit more work to re-check the sources (at least googling where the value comes from, if it was a test or mainnet stats), but I think it's worth it - this thread could then become a reference thread, worth to be cited or even stickied.

I know for fact that CoinCheckup is using reliable official sources,
and they conduct detail research or just don't post TPS data at all,
but you can contact them and suggest that they add source links.
They are very responsive and supportive.

CoinCheckup is now also having a $1000 Bitcoin challenge!  https://is.gd/coincheckup

I dont see BytePay here or CropCoin or maaany other open SCAMS

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3283379.0

I am not trying to point out if a coin is a scam or not. As far as Crop they been around 60 days now. Community is active, developers look engaged and their roadmap shows a marketplace for this year. I am working on adding additional masternode coins from other sources in the very near future.

All you see is fabricated selfmoderated altered topic and discord.
Please read link I posted and you will see that it is a pure scam project without any MN purpose.

Posts by 'osnwt' explain great purpose of CropCoin

Why is Denarius (DNR)  and Folm (FLM) on this list, and who created this ?

Why don't you look at GITHUB for all of this coins ??

FOLM (FLM)
https://github.com/folm

Denarius (DNR)
https://coincheckup.com/coins/denarius/analysis/github

Solarium coin has lower volume then both of this coins
and github activity is nero zero
https://github.com/solariumcoin

I would anyway say that,
99% of all Masternode coins are SCAM.

Examples:
BytePay
CropCoin
Banq...

What is total coin supply ?
--------------------------------------------------------
Max Coin Supply (PoW)   154 000 EBS
Max Coin Supply (PoS)    Infinite

Premine 100 000 EBS

So the PREMINE is ~ 65% of TOTAL PoW  !!!

I officially announce that @BANQ_PLATFORM are SCAM that don't pay for signature campaign and @InnoketCoin and @RampantCoin didn't pay any bounties at all and their only goal was to dump premine via Masternode auction.

This is becoming serious... we need some Crypto Police,
and Bitcointalk forum needs to redflag reported scam topics and ban IP addresses.

I will add to the list BytePay and CropCoin....

12716  Economy / Exchanges / Re: EXCHANGES Coin Listing Fees on: April 09, 2018, 03:23:46 PM
I remember exchanges asking for list fees before but It's apparently no longer the case. If you check this article[1] by Business Insider, you will see how most of them are not taking any fees. This doesn't make it any easier to list the coin though as they still have some criteria for listing.

Kucoin (not mentioned in the article below) allow users to vote to list coins. If your coin have a big community and userbase, listing it on exchanges wouldn't be a problem.

I don't think this is true.
Asian exchanges ore openly asking for payment and they will create fake volume for you.

few Examples of coins that can not get listed:

LUX coin
BitcoinZ  - recently payed ~ 10 BTC for future listing on Coinbene
