12781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NewEgg accepting BTC! on: July 01, 2014, 05:39:59 PM
since this news came out, bitcoin hasn't really gone up much, which leads me to think the recent run-up prior to newegg's announcement = insider info speculating on newegg and not because of the marshal auction.

No , it's the usual move. Keep calm and hodl.
One bit of chinese news and we go down 25%. Newegg accepting it , after so many other business and we move up a cent.
Expedia episode allover.

a method for increasing Quark's hash rate, increasing funding for projects and inspire the community all at...

Could Quark be included in background on a game like Starcraft, etc so that the gamer gets a reward like more minerals/extra warriors/carriers/etc in-game when he finds a block and also getting the real-life rewards of the quarks. It could be an opt-in promotion where gamers lend their pc power with the chance of getting an advantage during the game and beating their friends with this advantage :-)

Are you talking about mining or gaming here.
Mining for quark is not profitable even if you use a stolen laptop and stolen electricity Smiley.

So you plan is to create a game with quark or to use gamers as a multipool?
The answer is in my initial post Wink

With no profitability there will be no mining.
Why would somebody develop a game that would reward all the gamers 5$ per day?

Send the guys at Blizzard an email with your idea. I'm sure they will be amazed about it. Not so sure if they will gonna do it in the next millennium ..

Keep the ideas close to the realms of reality and possibility for now
Only used Starcraft as example because thats one of the few games that I know( also RAlert, AOEmpires and NFS games from 10 years ago when playing them) but this could work with the smallest game right ?

If it happens with the smallest game out there there will be no impact.
Blizzard is not keen on entering this , they have already a deal with paypal for their games.

Also , why do you thin a company will chose quark and not bitcoin ?
There is no reason for ltc for doge for dark for black and not for quark to be chosen.

From a company point of view it would work way better using bitcoin as it has much more liquidity, but from gamer point of view the fact that quark is the fastest protocol releasing blocks ~30 seconds it would be more profitable if they play 1-2 hours per day, the chance of getting an advantage/finding a block is alot higher, more so if they play in teams and each team is on a pool they could get the advantage for the whole team.

12784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia planning to push Dollar in crisis ? Chance for Bitcoin ? on: July 01, 2014, 04:51:03 PM
The Dollar crash has been looming for years and it will be ugly. Many people will suffer, so this is not something to look forward to, imo.
Chance for Bitcoin?
Yes, the fiat collapse will be huge for Bitcoin, but watch the price of BTC/Gold, since your fiat wealth will be an illusion.

The dollar crash has been looming for years and nothign happened.
Do you remember how the EU would fall in 2000, 2005, 2010 ..2015...
Same for the so called euro crash which is also not happening.

Refreshing to see Quark up 26%. Could be due to BTC price increase as well. Even though we are at only 1.8c, could be a good sign.

YC

Possibly because of the Cryptsy USD launch today??

49. Quark (0.02 %)
Source   Pair   Volume (24h)   Price   Volume (%)
BTER   QRK/BTC   $ 4,666   $ 0.020471   35.11 %
Cryptsy   QRK/BTC   $ 4,443   $ 0.016341   33.43 %
BTC38   QRK/CNY   $ 3,575   $ 0.016469   26.90 %

It's actually bter who is pushing the price up...
But the volume is so low....only 7 btc on each

Newegg -> eBay & Apple -> Amazon.com -> 1,000 valuation -> People of China begin to realize their clueless government fucked them over -> Chinese reinvestment, this time permanent -> we're all rich.

Prophet Beliathon has spoken.
let it be, hopefully the 9 btc im holding would give my kids the future they deserve.

lets go btc! opps back to work.

$6000 bucks for your kids future?  That's all they deserve?

In some part of the this world 6000 means something like 30 wages.
Also..9 btc at 1000$ alone would make 9000$ (and that in any math all over this planet).

There is no need for that step anymore.
It has already been proven that we don't need China anymore.

Bitcoin can grow with or without it and it's fake news /exchanges/ yuans.

I thought this is another false thread but , hurray!!!! Another giant accepting bitcoin. Indeed this is enough to stop all chinese banning forever.

Great news, but we need more consumer adoption!! What good is it if we have merchants accepting bitcoin but nobody to spend the bitcoins?

Why do you think people aren't spending their bitcoins?

I was missing you, guys. Sorry for so nervous delay, having some issues with my health. Website up and running, and now I'm starting to count posts.

Glad to see you back on board.

Now time for all the trolls that were trying to increase their post count with FUD about this campaign and claiming that and that from their crystal ball to come back in and either edit their rants or delete them completely.

Anyone know who was buying last night? Price did skyrocket!

Wouldn't call that skyrocket...more like a failed pump.

Price was before around 20000 and now the support is at max 26 000.
Indeed the volume was amazing for the coin at this stage but it's far from what it was months ago.

12793  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if the SR coins sell for $150-$200 over current market value? on: June 27, 2014, 06:49:25 PM
Since , (as far as I understand) there would be different bids for each 3k pack , wouldn't it be possible for some bitcoin to go above market value and for some below?

FIFA is an association established under the Laws of Switzerland. Its headquarters are in Zurich.

FIFA publishes its results according to IFRS. The total compensation for the management committee in 2011 was 30 million for 35 persons. Blatter, the only full time, earns approx 2 Mio CHF, 1.2 Mio fix, the rest bonus

So you were twisting my words. Shaq Fu was originally called an abomination by EA in the 90's, and is still considered to this day to be one of the worst games in history. I even talked about DLC (which they didn't have in 1995) in my original post. I don't know how you could be stupid enough to combine that with Quark being released again on a SNES cartridge with Quark support?

I was actually surprised about that but it seems it's real:

It is considered one of the worst video games of all time

At least they mention quark:
Quote
At the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, Shaquille O’Neal confirmed speculations in an interview with GamerFitnation that there would be a Shaq Fu 2.[8] On March 6, 2014 an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign was started for Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn. It will feature gameplay that heavily differs from its predecessor. The funding goal was $450,000 USD. If achieved, the game creators at Big Deez Productions promised the game would be released on consoles (PS4, Wii U, PS3, XBox One and XBox 360). The campaign ended on May 5, 2014, with the funding goal exceeded at $473,884.[1] Additionally, the game creators at Big Deez have made an unprecedented announcement: They will be accepting Quark crypto-currency as a method of in-game payment. I second that!!.  so what is the real amount that people think that this coin will reach, that could be/will be, do people think it might make it to the mighty, $1  just asking.  or is all this talk just that talk.. and it wont get anywhere.

It's just talk. The sell order for 0.00000001BTC/NYC at Bittrex has only been increasing during the last month, and it's 1436911821.91096759NYC at the moment. Increasing like U.S national debt and no one can ever do anything about it..
