1281  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do a country start all over - Happy-ish Independence. on: October 02, 2021, 07:36:39 AM
It ain't gonna work in Nigeria. The poor, rather unintelligent people, want somebody to rule over them. All the shrewd business people, great and small, want to be the rulers. The wealthy shrewd ones will keep on ruling.

Cool

People are not poor because they are unintelligent as well as rich because they are intelligent. I have come across rich but stupid fellows too just the same way I have come across poor but intelligent fellows. Yes I know it will not be possible for Nigeria to start over again, because the north that holds power in Nigeria will not allow the other parts break up from Nigeria no matter how desperate they want it. There is IPOB, there is Oduduwa trying to leave and go form their own nations but Nigeria does not want them to.
1282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some cryptocurrency scam to avoid. on: October 01, 2021, 09:07:47 PM
You missed to add one of the most dangerous scams where YouTube channels and VerifiedTwitter accouts offering 2× return on a fixed deposit amount. And many users losing their funds in this trap.

Recently this type of scam happened and I made a thread about that incident.
Check here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5361408.0

The most popular among those using the verified twitter accounts scamming people is the one that Elon Musk's account is regularly used. It is confusing to me how they always hack into his account to make those tweets. Because alot of people know how rich Elon Musk is they fall easily to those scams thinking it is from Elon promising to double their cryptocurrency sent to a particular wallet address. People should avoid those type of tweets.
1283  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Regarding the topic of hacking crypto scammers on: October 01, 2021, 05:14:39 PM
The speed with which scammers can create sites is much faster than the possibility of stopping them even officially by governments.

Scammers get away because most times officials of the government refuse to act, especially when they have been bribed to look the other way. It is not that government can not apprehend them. I will support anything that can make scammers feel the pains they give out to their victims, including attacking their servers and sending malware to them. If hackers are hacked or scammers are scammed, there is nothing illegal or bad about that.
1284  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyDiamond.io 🎲 Big faucet 🎲 Diamond rains 🎲 Hourly contests on: October 01, 2021, 04:38:15 PM

Did you make provision for those who will only be on your site to claim from the faucets without playing any game? Number two question, is there a withdrawal level for claims?

All deposit and withdrawals are instant! But anti-fraud system can mark transaction as suspicious and send to double check. But if you have 1 account and not violating rules all will be OK

Most times this is the excuse companies use in cheating those who play on their sites by refusing them payment for games won and claiming that the players cheated and broke the site rules and regulations.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 30, 2021, 08:20:05 PM
Oh! Finally,  Lionel Messi scores his first goal for PSG and not just ahaunst any team but the Champions of England and a much needed goal at that from the way City is playing. This is going to be a very painful lose for the citizens. To have lost 2 goals to nothing against PSG even though, they were the dominant team in this game. Its a lot of hard luck for Manchester City though, especially with the double chance they had to an equaliser in the first half. Where Raheem Stirling and B. Silva had there shot at the goal but was off target and landed on the bar. The final whistle is yet to be blown but, rhe game seems over already.  All they could hope for now is the returning leg and hope they win though.

I knew Lionel Messi's time will come and he will start scoring for his new club. That time came against Manchester City. The most painful part for me is that his first goal came against his former and coach, Pep Guardiola. But that is football for you and Messi played like a professional not minding he was playing against his former boss.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Entain to Get Gambling License in the Netherlands on: September 30, 2021, 07:59:22 PM

While Spain bans sports men and women from promoting gambling, the Netherlands is encouraging it. Here is the news source https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/la-liga-betting-shirt-sponsors-2020-21-season. And the article was even used as a topic here on this forum. This shows how we all differ in our thinking. What we think is good may turn out to be bad in the eyes of others.

1287  Other / Meta / Re: [LOG] sMerit HODLers who sent merits for the first time on: September 30, 2021, 06:46:28 PM
Since another 10 months have passed, I decided to actualize all the logs and chart on the first page of this thread.

Maybe your 10 months absence from updating this post is a big gap and you can reduce it by making it every 3 months now that there is much activities in the forum. That is just my humble suggestion and i hope you understand.
1288  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: September 30, 2021, 06:17:44 PM
Bitcoin's real name is satoshi nakamoto. But it is called Bitcoin because there was proof of work money and it is recorded on paper it was one coin of gold. That's why its called Bitcoin

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

That post is very funny even though it is unbelievable someone posted that load of nonsense. I checked haasanjui posts and found out that he is not a native English speaker and that can be why his posts come out that way. May be he uses google to translate the few posts he writes. His concentration is on bounties.
1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China says all crypto transaction are illegal on: September 30, 2021, 05:38:14 PM
Honestly, I am tired of this fud of China. We all knew that they are simply manipulating the market by putting up a serious act to ban everything about crypto, then when yhe market plunge to death, then they will buy massive coins and started to renounced something of support to crypto. Its like they wanted so badly to buy at very cheap and slowly pump it and sell again. Damn China, worse pump and dump on crypto.

This allegations are possible as I have suspected that is what China is up to. If not why is the country always hitting bitcoin every now and then. I hope it will loose with this approach of trying to manipulate the market. I do not know why is China not copying other countries supporting bitcoin instead of trying to destroy it.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spain bans betting adds - no celebrities, no sport sponsorship, no daytime adds on: September 29, 2021, 05:16:41 PM
Sports are not the only place to advertise, there’s a lot of ways now and for sure those casinos will always find a way and beside, they are spending a lot of money just for a player to wear a shirt, its time now for those casinos to become more creative in advertising. Anyway, this new rule many lessen the exposure of gambling in sports, but still they can’t prevent gamblers from betting.

We know sports is the easiest business that promotes gambling and stopping sports sponsorship and celebrities advertising gambling sites will be a big blow to gambling companies. I do not know whether to call such a decision a Lionel Messi effect and am wondering if that decision would have been in place if Messi was still in Barcelona. I do not think it would have happened.
1291  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn Merits? on: September 29, 2021, 05:55:00 AM
Hi 11Revenger11, welcome to the bitcointalk.org family.
Already enough has been said on how to earn merits and rank high here. I will add my few cents here, never lose patience if you are not getting merits. Try to post quality contents and for that best is to read and analyze posts that are getting merits. This will definatly be a big help. Good luck

He may not know what a quality post is, maybe 5 lines or 2 lines posts. Alot of posters mistake the length of the posts they make to mean quality and i do not think that is it. Some write to fill the length required to meet up with campaign requirement and end up not writing much meaningful things. To earn merit will mean to write something you know makes sense and meaning to you.
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Weed and Crypto Show on: September 29, 2021, 04:45:49 AM

Running a show and smoking weed on it and promoting dogecoin does not look positive in my opinion. We know that marijuana is banned in many states and countries and you put that show for people to see. Are you suggesting that dogecoin should be banned too? I suspect you intentionally moved away from using bitcoin to avoid media attack by bitcoin lovers. I do not know what essence you are trying to achieve with the video anyway. Maybe you will enlighten us more.
1293  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I wish i knew about Bitcoin before now on: September 27, 2021, 05:25:32 PM
Let's be honest here mate, a lot of us here wouldn't stick around with Bitcoin in the early stages simply because there's not much information out there early on, and the community was still small. And yes, I'm guessing that even I wouldn't be interested. It's just easier to stick around right now simply because the community is now huge and we got so much beginner content out there.

Not to mention the high chance of us selling after a huge crash. We know right now that bitcoin can bounce back after a crash simply because it has done it a lot of times already. But back then? Who knows if bitcoin would go back up.

Alot of newcomers into bitcoin think it was easy from the beginning buying and selling the way it is today, but that is not so. Those days alot was not known about how to get bitcoin and from what exchanges and how to go about exchanging it. Most of the people who say they regret not buying early will still regret it some years from now again too as I do not see most of this people buy bitcoin now. No time is too late to buy bitcoin. Opportunities are there to buy bitcoin at any time but people do not always recognise this opportunities.
1294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ranks of bitcoin hodlers. on: September 27, 2021, 02:17:31 PM
Too many categories are not necessary. LookintoBitcoin has 4 categories that are enough in my opinion.

The list leaves alot of people with less than 1 bitcoin out of the classification and this class of people are in the majority and very vital too to bitcoin. I do not like that. There was a site I read of those who have less than 1 bitcoin described as 'Plankton' and it made me laugh hard. The whale is the most used of them all to describe bitcoin holders. May be it is because of its size. But how come water animals are used to classify bitcoin holders. Is there anything that caused that?
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] JOSHUA vs USYK on: September 27, 2021, 12:58:52 PM
It will be another history in the making for Usyk. If I'm not mistaken, the last time that we have a great cruiserweight jumping to heavyweight is Evander Holyfield. So Usyk might follow the footsteps of the great Evander and become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Evander Holyfield's shoes will be too big for a boxer in the class of Usyk to wear. The only boxer in the present time that can be compared to Holyfield will be Tyson Fury. I like how he punches. Joshua is not fast with his punches and can hardly move around fast. I remember the days of Mohammed Ali when boxing was an entertainment sport and fans were thrilled with Ali jumping all over the ring. I see that in Fury. Usyk is just an average boxer.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No vaccine no entry Casino house! on: September 27, 2021, 12:36:00 PM
I was faced with real-life situations in my city over the weekend, I visited a casino house close to my residence to have some fun time but on getting to the casino gate I was stopped by security at the gate and they demanded a covid 19 vaccine card which I don't have at the moment and I was denied entry I felt embarrassed but I have no option than to turn back. Is the situation the same in your neighborhood?

I do not know why it has become so with the casino not allowing you to get in. Should they not have relied on asking those going in there to put on face masks and do the temperature check thing? This is not right at all. All this use of force makes people believe the government has something dangerous it is hiding from the citizens by forcing them to take the vaccine. People should be allowed to choose whether to get vaccinated or not, it should not be compulsory.
1297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Which exchanges do top Chinese officials secretly use? on: September 27, 2021, 09:09:30 AM
If you are in China maybe you can go to jail or have your organs removed for saying 'The Tao is clear'.

Be careful.

This is funny and scary all at the same time. China is beginning to create panic in the hearts of people using cryptocurrency and this is not a good development. Am thinking the Crypto industry and community should come together and ban China at once to end this whole nonsense. China is worse than a dictatorship and it should not allow its madness spread to the rest of the world. We are already infested with its virus and it still want more with its countless bans on cryptocurrency.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becareful with Meme Coins on: September 27, 2021, 08:21:59 AM
Actually got some but being toast at the moment. It seems the only way to recover these meme coins are if elon and dogecoin started to pull the market from bearish divergence. But that's not gonna be easy as bitcoin market is being fud by the Chinese Government. I do hope Chinese crypto enthusiast will support blocking their own government for making a stupid decision.

It is as if you knew that the government of china will pull a big one again on cryptocurrency and it did. China is disrupting the pace of cryptocurrency and drawing the world back with its many bans on it. Referring to meme coins as dangerous investment is a good warning because alot of the coins there are only created to scam people without anything to project. But alot of people do not want to heed to this warning because they see memecoins as easy profit for them but most of them end up getting scammed.
1299  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid-19 Vaccine side effects on: September 26, 2021, 10:30:56 PM
My mother was afraid so she did Pfizer, she is 62 and she just had some mild arm pain in both dozes,it is been a month and nothing happened, however she never suffered from headaches before while now she says she has some of them occasionally, maybe it is a long vaccine side effect, those are the ones I am afraid of and that is another reason why I do not get vaccinated.

This is what gets people scared. No one wants to get the vaccine and then their body system becomes crappy as you have painted here in picture. Am sure mama will almost be regretting taking it because of the new headache that now hits her occasionally. I will hate it that my body system changes after i take it. There are so many stories like this from people and sometimes i think they exaggerate the side effect. Am not saying that is what you did. Am talking about those around me where I live.
1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you take loan(s) to invest in crypto? on: September 26, 2021, 07:34:08 PM
Loan for invest in crypto? No, never. There are many reasons, but main reason is that crypto market is very inpredictable so you have good chances to lost borrowed money. What then mate? Don even think about this idea.

Everybody is afraid of borrowing money to invest in crypto and i do not know why so because it is not the only business that has alot of risk in it. Those who know what they are doing in crypto and know how to invest in it will still make money whether it is borrowed money or not.

The volatility and risk of the crypto market are great.

Trade and invest within the range of funds you can afford. Don't loan funds to trade. This is a very risky behavior and may eventually lead to unbearable economic losses.

What about those who do not have any funds but feel they can trade. How then will they try their luck if it is not to get a loan?
