1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 03, 2023, 09:32:52 AM
They can easily lie about this because no one is going to ask them to show proof that they send anyone the bonuses, why would anyone ask in the first place? But we can't deny that Casinos are making enough money enough to spend some money on advertising purposes or to attract more people to their companies, they can do this easily too, yet I believe that start up casinos that easily lie about everything, the most problematic online casinos are those new companies that haven't build any reputation before, it will always be easier for them to cheat, lie and defraud people if the opportunity arises.

I will always prefer old reputable gambling platforms and if I have to try a new one, they must have already started to build their reputation, don't expect me to go for a casino that just launched days ago, I will wait for few months and see how far they have come.

We are giving away our personal data all the time to pizza restaurants, hotels, various delivery services, and stuff, and then, all of a sudden, when it some to gambling sites, it becomes a problem.
But at the same time, these services do not know about our savings. Suppose you won $1 million, and the data on your place of residence, your identification data fell into the hands of criminals. Would you have peace of mind about your safety?

I was thinking about it when writing that post. For those who won $1 million, or even $100k, it could be the reason for concerns. But those are rare cases, and most people don't win such money, and yet they are afraid of passing KYC on gambling sites. Also, I personally think that even if you won some big money the probability of your identification data falling into the hands of criminals is very low because the data is encrypted and are there only for the authorities if they have a proper warrant.
There is no proof that the data is truly encrypted like you said and you are not even working there to confirm this claim, the encrypted part is based on make-believe, I am not saying all of them are like this but we can't confirm this claim of yours when we have no proof, and the possible involvement of the authorities is why the majority of gamblers don't want to pass KYC verification on online casinos, it is why some gamblers prefer using privacy crypto for gambling instead, they are trying to stay away from the authorities, their data is their life.

1283  Economy / Economics / Re: Money as a store of value... on: April 03, 2023, 07:01:53 AM
Money, the biggest friend of inflation, I am surprised that many members are classifying money as a real store of value, something that depreciates very fast in a matter of months, to me money is not a real store of value and shouldn't in any way be considered as one, the example of store of value are things that retain their value or add more to their value as time goes by, for example Gold, Silver, and all other precious stones you can find around the world, they are very hard to find and they are very useful, this is why they are good store of value.

Another good store of value is Bitcoin, as risky as Bitcoin is, it's a good example of real store of value because its deflationary and useful, yes it's currency but in a storing of value manner, way better than Fiat or Money when it comes to store of value.
1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many crypto wallets do you own? on: April 03, 2023, 06:03:27 AM
that's what has to be done, don't put assets in one basket, so that if something bad happens we will lose all assets. actually that's its main purpose. but on the other hand we must know how to secure our wallet from the possibility of being hacked, apart from dividing it into several wallets. many incidents of people being hacked started with their own mistakes, where they were tempted by advertisements that might come in, so they followed the directions, and finally, they could be hacked
If you have a hardware wallet you will buy more because you don't want to keep your assets in one basket.

I used three different wallets, one is for transaction only, assuming I want to buy bitcoin from a dex or centralized exchange I will use this first wallet, then move the assets from this first wallet into my cold wallet, I am doing this to avoid connecting my cold wallet to any platform, and I use the last wallet for tokens claiming like NFTs, Airdrop, and bounties, the major mistake that many people do is using one wallet for airdrops and buying coins on a dex.

They have forgotten that once you connect your wallet to a platform or swap websites you have authorized or given access to the platform, until you revoke that access.

1286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you withdraw bitcoin this week? on: April 02, 2023, 11:52:07 AM
23000$ to 28000$ is not much of a difference for a long term investor who plan to DCA every now and then, it doesn't matter what the price of Bitcoin is at the moment because you can't tell how long Bitcoin will stay at a price and when it will surge in value, this is why it's better to use DCA, buy in every month end or whatever is convenient for you, a salary earner will find it easier ti DCA every month end vs someone that makes his money every day or week.
1287  Economy / Gambling / Re: My list of good crypto casinos on: April 02, 2023, 09:10:38 AM
Bitcoin casino is quite popular but not on this forum and most forum users here are not familiar with it, and your list is made up of non popular casinos and that make it hard for users here to contribute to this thread.
You are saying nonsense.

Bitcoin casinos are quite popular but not on this forum? Online casinos that accept crypto payment are all on this forum, the biggest ones I meant, and if you are using any that's not on this forum you are toying with fire because they will probably end up scamming their users, I prefer casinos that are on here than those that only have social media accounts like Twitter or Facebook, where they are free to mute anyone trying to reveal their illicit habit.

Any crypto-accepting online casino that is not available on this forum is not safe for anyone, there is no way your voice can be heard when a casino did something bad to their customers except they have an account on Bitcoontalk forum.
1288  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong Kong - Embracing crypto, new acceptance mode, $100 mln raiser on: April 02, 2023, 08:19:10 AM
It is starting to look silly that countries who ban crypto are now claiming to have the best interest of crypto at heart, how do you expect me to believe this? Because the US did the same, now they want Bitcoin to seize to exist, what makes you think that China won't go back on their words shortly again? They have turned this whole thing into jokes, banning and unbanning here and there like a basketball match.

China is still in the graphic card business but they are not allowed to mine crypto, there was also a rumor that you can only use one or two graphics cards for mining at home, but not build a mining farm where huge amounts of electricity will be drawn, I am confused about all this restriction and ban and unban, it looks like a game.
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin usage in crime activity. on: April 02, 2023, 07:17:20 AM
Here are some facts that says otherwise.

•Bitcoin is not anonymous, it is traceable.

•Criminals and illegal entities have been here before the birth of Bitcoin and they have been using Fiat to fund their illicit businesses.

•Even if something better than Bitcoin comes, criminal will still use it to their own advantage because every good thing can be used in bad ways.

•The best fit for illegal activities are privacy coins and mixer services, that's why the government hates mixers more than Bitcoin.

1291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying bills with digital currency cards, gift cards on: April 01, 2023, 04:23:11 PM
It is very hard to pay bills with digital currency over here, as no one is ready to accept Bitcoin as means of payment when it comes to bill payment, I can't imagine ever wanting ti to pay my house rent and I ask my landlord for a Bitcoin wallet address, it's going to be so hilarious because the next question that will come out of the old man's mount is what the heck is Bitcoin or are you trying to scam me?  Cheesy

The only things I can manage to use Bitcoin to purchase our gift cards, recharge cards, smartphones, gaming consoles, and a few electronic items, I do hope that Bitcoin will be a true winner one day.

if Amazon and Paypal start accepting Bitcoin it is over for the haters.
1292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A question about blockchain voting on: April 01, 2023, 03:12:16 PM
Years ago I was so obsessed with blockchain voting, I look up to this idea because I am from a country where corruption have taken over everything, so I believe that using blockchain w voting is the solution, a presidential candidate came up and planned to implement this blockchain voting and I was very happy about it but guess what, the idea was a shut down by the corrupt leaders, this was how the dream died.

Blockchain Voting still has some disadvantages as well, for example, lack of public trust and also dependence of software and devices but yet, I can't ignore that Blockchain voting is capable of immutable data and resistance of cyber attackers.
1293  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 01, 2023, 02:35:47 PM
Only you can define what being wealthy is to your life, I believe that living a comfortable life is more than being wealthy for me, trying to become wealthy is a very big challenge from someone who is not from a rich family, it will take you the hard work and a long term to turn the tide around for your kids. Things are very costly over here due to high inflation and my way of living has been from crypto earnings since a few years now.

I believe that getting involved with Bitcoin is the only way a common man can get very closer to realizing their dreams, if you can invest in Bitcoin and have a long-term goal for over 8 years to come your aims in life can be fulfilled.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: April 01, 2023, 01:46:25 PM
I am just curious about how does online casino pay for their promotion on their influencers? Where does their earning comes from? How will you get scammed when you try online casino? How can you tell that online casino is safe?
The gambling business is a very lucrative business, maybe you should do your own research first and find out, if the gambling company has good reputation gamblers around the world will choose such platform as their gambling den, and you should know that gambling is very risky, players can lose or win, as for my experience with gambling, players lose more money than they win, I believe this is one of the simplest ways that gambling companies make their money.

*How to avoid scam online casinos*

•Avoid using gambling companies that is not been talked about on this forum, this is very important.

•A legit online casino will have an ANN on this forum, this way they will keep their reputation in check and if anything happens you can easily raise your point and maybe you will get help, and if the casino decides to turn to a scam the forum moderators or DT members will paint the casino profile with RED TRUST.

You can know that a casino is safe if they have been running for a very long time, the fastest way to know is by checking their ANN thread date and checking their latest updates and conversation, some casinos on here have been running for years already.
1295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about this bitcoin awareness in Frankfurt? on: March 31, 2023, 03:08:34 PM
Most Bitcoiners are just so creative and will use every small opportunity they have to promote and create awareness for Bitcoin.
Lots of information has already been shared on this two-page thread regarding this same creativity.

This is not a safe practice but it's cool, I don't know how serious the crypto regulation is in Germany or if there is any at all, if there is no form of hate on Bitcoin in Germany, then this is a cool way of advertising Bitcoin, the positive impact will be bigger and better than using a sign or logo board, can anyone figure out how friendly the German government is with cryptocurrency? Because I believe no one will dare pull this off if the government is against Bitcoin.

By the way, this is pretty impressive, I will love to see this happen in another part of the world soon, do not try this in the US at this moment 😂😂 though.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing against 2024 on: March 30, 2023, 09:07:52 AM
Bitcoin was originally created to battle the elites, Bitcoin was created to be the people's final hope of freedom through decentralization, anything the elites plan to get their hands on will be right under their feet, this is not what Satoshi Nakamoto wanted for Bitcoin adopters, believe me no matter what's coming, Bitcoin will always survive and in a few years more Bitcoin value will make a lot of noise in the world and those who decide to still hate will feel the sound of regret again.
1297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you think second if crypto without internets? Impossible right. on: March 30, 2023, 08:08:50 AM
It will be a great opportunity if one can create a forum for this. The growth and popularity of cryptocurrency may be extremely in the future that even uneducated men and women in rural areas and villages in many developing countries of the world may love to be part of the crypto can process to make crypto offline class work.
What did you guys think?
These people you are talking about, are they illiterate? Rural areas and villages now have schools, and if education is ongoing in such areas then they can be thought about Bitcoin and crypto, yes bitcoin can be taught offline, many seminars have been held in different parts of the world and you don't need an internet connection to make this work.

If we are to talk about Bitcoin transactions offline, well that's not going to work because to send your Bitcoin into another wallet you will need an internet connection
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance CZ sued on: March 30, 2023, 07:03:18 AM
I am till surprised that Bitcoin failed to react much when CZ got sued, it is amazing that Bitcoin breaks the 28k level too, now I am left with wonders, thinking about what possible move the government is going to take on Bitcoin, because with the way things are going now it seems like crypto is no more reacting to bad news, crypto space have gotten used to the whole idea of FUD to bring down the market.

CZ have stepped on some people that he shouldn't have, like that crazy Irish man called Kelvin, he promised Binance CEO that he will pay for bringing down FTX, how many watched this video? It's still on Youtube, I hope the best for CZ, he is the best man out there that really has the best interest for crypto.
1299  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: March 30, 2023, 06:26:28 AM
This is pretty hard to believe because there is no kid on here that could believe this claim, how can you place a bet and not lose? That's impossible, gamblers lose more money than they win when it comes to sport betting, it's a gamble where by even the most active football club can lose a match, I do not believe in your "No bet is a Waste" there is no way to know if a football club will win or lose and people have lost a fortune to betting.

You can only increase your chance of winning by staying updated about teams and their activeness but it's still all about prediction which can be right or wrong.
1300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mixing is NOT money laundering, per se on: March 29, 2023, 01:21:40 PM
Indeed, Bitcoin mixing is not money laundering per se, but why would anyone need to use a mixer? The most correct answer is to avoid getting tracked, by whom? Not all Bitcoin mixer users are money launderers but other motives behind using Bitcoin mixer is 80% illegal, criminal-minded, call it whatever you want, since the day I have started investing money in crypto I have never for once think of a mixer, I like the feature of a mixer but most users are into illegal things.

People who don't use mixers illegally are those who believe in privacy, which they believe is the only way to really evade the government and the watchers. Perhaps someday, a more secure mixer can be developed where people can stay off the radar of the government by using one.

For now, I don't see any reason to start using a Bitcoin mixer but I am a supporter, the ability that a mixer possess is more useful for criminals than a normal average Joe, that's my point.
