1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The psychology of betting..... on: May 01, 2023, 05:09:50 PM
...
A lot of my friends believe that it is better to spin the Slots manually, because "Auto spin" are rigged by the casinos... but that is also a myth. A lot of things come into play when a bet is made and it has nothing to do with the "auto bet" feature. (Client Seed / Server Seed & RNG and RTP ...)

Have you pressed the "bet" button, before the reels have stopped.. thinking that it will give you a favorable outcome on your bet? Well, I have news for you... the outcome has been decided in milliseconds after you pressed the button for the bet, the GUI interface happens long after that to display the outcome of the bet to you.  Grin (Go into the developer mode of your browser to see this)

When I play some games/providers at BC with "'live stats" on, I see the result of the spin/bonus round on the live stats right away. So yes, when we press the bet button the outcome is already determined.
And nothing helps with slots, it's either our lucky day or not. I had many lucky and unlucky days, with manual/auto/buying bonuses, when it comes to slots.

What patterns do you see and how much do you believe in it?

I guess there are patterns everywhere, even in gambling. I believe there are... and most of the time we see them and we even have some nice hits, but the problem with lucky-based games is usually greediness. When profit is insignificant and we wish for more and when after some big win we think we can win even more.

The conclusion is simple, play just with the money you can afford to lose! That way you can have fun with your amount and you can allow yourself to risk and get some excitement from that, even if you win or lose. But don't let yourself get carried away by gambling and think that there is a quick profit in gambling after some nice win, that thinking leads people into trouble. Learn from other people's mistakes.
1282  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: April 30, 2023, 03:41:36 PM
It is important to find balance between investing and spending based on our financial goals and risk tolerance. We need to know first our financial priorities and what should be done first. If you are a regular employee and your salary is just enough to buy your daily needs like food then that is your top priority. If you have excess money then you can allocate them to investments.  It is hard for regular employees with a not so high salary to look for investment is because their funds is not enough.

Balance is important in everything. It's why the headline doesn't make much sense, we should look at everything, why we should do anything before we give it a thought? Those who don't look at the table can face some serious health problems, and health should be more important than everything else. But those who wish to save on food should look for some appropriate ways for that... look for discounts, eat at home and make food at home when going to work, etc. I don't remember the last time I went to a restaurant with my family, but we often make the same food at home. That way is a lot cheaper... with drinks.

When looking at everything around we are getting aware of the situation, knowing more will minimize risks and can save us from running into some disaster. And doing something at the expense of something else can/will cause some problems in the long run if you are not fully aware of what are you doing and you have a plan to find some balance at some point. Simple as that.
1283  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: April 30, 2023, 02:15:33 PM
I agree with you, but then, I think there are some gamblers that will disagree with you on this, and tell you that there  are really some strategies, patterns, tactics (call it whatever), through which slot players can enhance their winnings, and one of those strategies is the popular martingale strategy - I believe you already know what is strategy Is all about.

Though to me personally, I don't believe this to be a strategy, since it does not enhance one's chances of winning, it only enhances the pay out, this is if the player is lucky enough to win, - but then, some gamblers still see martingale as a gambling strategy, most especially, for slot games.
Obviously there are people who will not believe me but if those people really would be winning they wouldn't care what i say. In fact they would tell no one about their strategy so they could keep on winning.

Martingale working or not isn't really a matter of anyone's belief, it's mathematically proven not to work. I personally don't mind people using it as they might as well when everything is luck based, anything goes. If you like rubbing a rabbit foot or pray to gods or look for horoscopes it's all good fun in my eyes as it's all luck. As long as they are not betting their house because they are so sure about their superstitions.

But i do get a little annoyed when i see people selling scripts for different kind of strategies and post their "proof" of winnings. That i find immoral.

First of all, I don't think that is wise to play slots using classical martingale. Doubling bet after every loss will bust your amount on any slot. I guess there's always a possibility to get a lucky hit in the first 10-20 spins, but it's stretched. I usually raise my bets after 50-100 spins, when I really wish to hit a bonus with some higher bet... which works sometimes, and sometimes not.

Martingale is more for in-house games. Where we can choose a multiplier and adjust our bets and what the bot should do after losing, winning, and a streak of wins/loses. I like to have fun with auto betting, and many strategies work for some period of time, but those who play a lot using only one strategy will run into some crazy long losing streak sooner or later. This can be avoided with some very low basic bets and "not so greedy for profit" strategies, but even after all day of playing and +500k rolls the won amount will be little, insignificant.

In the end, some kind of martingale is always present, what can we do after a long streak of losses? We can only raise the stakes and hope for a lucky hit.
1284  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: April 30, 2023, 09:35:30 AM
Lately we have seen a lot of online casinos that are considering themselves as Web3.0 but in reality it’s just a name, they don’t over a real Decentralized experience for players.
So i want to know from you what’s are all the features an online casino should have to be considered as web3.0 casino?

web3 casino will be like any other casino.  There is no need to register an account and deposit any crypto to the casino site separately. this is one of the advantages of Web3 Casino.  Here any gambler has to connect his personal wallet and play gambling.  But one disadvantage here is that if someone connects the wallet to a scam site then his wallet will be at a high risk of being hacked, so if you give one, as Web3 Casino will make our gambling easier, it will put us at high risk, so I personally am not very interested in Web3 Casino.

Quote
Web3 Casino ecosystem is a fusion of Businesses between Casino, sports betting, NFT and Decentralized crypto wallets or Dapps. Is an idea for a new iteration of the gambling which incorporates concepts such as decentralization, blockchain technologies, and token-based economics.

Google helped as always, this is like some definition. I think that this fusion of businesses is a nice description of Web3 casinos, and in some crypto casinos, we really have a lot of unique features like provably fair games, token-based economics, NFTs, and we ca register and play with crypto wallets or DApps, many deposit options using different chains.

Some definitions that can be found online describe "decentralized casinos" as places where people can gamble with crypto, not with "real money". But I don't think that the most popular casinos around are "decentralized", and my searching for "decentralized casinos" gives me the list of popular casinos we all know. So I doubt there is a real decentralized casino around.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 30, 2023, 06:26:56 AM
This story keeps amazing me and most times, I wonder the length gambling addicts have to go just to meet their guest to gamble more and I think at every slightest chance we find an addicted fellow, attention should be called for such person as it is not always easy to fight addiction.

I've seen worst cases where one had to sell all of their family landed properties just to be able to raise some money for gambling and I've also seen one funny case where a young boy used the documents of his father's house as collateral fir getting a loan just fir the purpose of gambling and i still wonder how people get to this stages.

There are many crazy stories around... A few years ago the guy who was supposed to take pensions to the elderly took the money for himself and went gambling. He was soon arrested, of course, I'm not sure how he was thinking to get away with this.

I guess they get to this stage because they don't think much about the consequences of their actions. And I am sure that "it's my turn to win big" helped them to do something crazy, it's a famous thought "When I win a lot of money, I will pay it all back and there will be something extra for me". But, but... it's gambling, and people mostly lose, especially the ones who are chasing for losses.

What a headline... how many of us felt that way? Being "something" at the wrong time in the wrong place? The list is endless...

Well, I don't care where someone is from as long as they are honest and fair. I don't wish to complicate my point, who is older enough knows that every country in this world has its good and bad sides. Nothing happens just like that, we are all responsible in "some or many ways" for everything that happens around us.

It's easy to spread hate, and all the countries are buying more weapons for what? To spread more hate and to make us kill each other? For what? Some imaginary lines, religions, and in the end nationalities? I don't believe in that, there are good and bad people around the world, it's all that matters. We come from different cultures, and we have different languages, but in the end, we are all people...

Even those contests/challenges have never really been popular, which is why we are not going to hold any more of these... what a pity.

We`ll do other cool things though. Smiley

When I think about it I'm still surprised that those competitions weren't more popular. More than nice prizes, the conditions were never more straightforward, it was only necessary to spin the slots and share some bigger wins. As I remember a few competitions were open for all slot players in a specific casino, not just Gosus. I will also say what a pity, some of those contests/challenges were very exciting.

Well, looking forward to other cool things. After poker, BTCGosu, and all connected with that, I wonder what is next. Smiley

The youth told us that he had invested around Rs 30 lakh in the cryptocurrency market and lost the money.

Well, I don't like to see this kind of explanation... it's silly to say "in the cryptocurrency market" when the crypto market is really huge. People should be really careful when investing, but some people invest in some obvious scams, and they don't follow the simple rule "Never invest more than you can afford to lose". Especially in risky stuff that promises high (in some cases enormous) returns, and all that in no time.

We can see it as another lesson, and for sure it is for people who are ready to spend some time researching and reading before they get into investing in crypto projects.

Feel free to chip in your contribution.

Your acquaintance got a little carried away, he is neither the first nor the last. Sad story, in the end, he hit the bottom and it seems that it's difficult for him to stand up again.

It's why "gambling just with the money you can afford to lose" should be repeated often, it's easy for anyone to get carried away after a nice streak of wins... but it's gambling in the end, we can make a profit, but we can lose a lot more than we have if we are not careful and we let the desire for winning big to blind us.

And I agree, it's better to learn from other people's mistakes, but nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes... but if someone is "reasonable and normal" will not make a huge mistake just like that. This brings us to another smart saying "Think before you jump in", that can save us from many troubles.
1290  Economy / Economics / Re: After Budgeting, How Do I Deal With Unexcepted Expenses? on: April 28, 2023, 08:53:32 AM
Pouring from the hollow to the empty. This is the old saying, and from that the aphorism was born "The Serbs have perfected pouring from the hollow to the empty, now everything is full."

There's no point in explaining how we deal with "unexpected expenses" because every unexpected situation can be more or less serious, and each of us is in a different financial/life situation... so it's silly to talk about something without knowing all the factors.
I guess most of us are in the "magical circle",  it's hard to find a balance between income and expenses, saving is like a mission impossible with the growing prices around. When something unexpected happens, we don't have many choices, we need to reorganize at the given moment. Depending on the seriousness of the situation, sometimes we have to borrow money or sell something (if we have something to sell) in order to solve the problem that arose. Life can be really tricky and hard sometimes, seemingly without solutions... But whatever happens, we have to keep a cool head, think about the problem that has arisen and find solutions that are available to us.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: April 28, 2023, 06:21:29 AM
It's possible, but I don't think we're anywhere near it just yet.

AIs give us the convenience that we need to have an easier life. It makes our tasks much lighter because of the advanced technology it possess. For coding or any related concern in programming or even school related tasks, AI can be of great help. It can also be of great help if it will be developed to analyze human emotions then pinpoint what kind of move the opponent will make or even predict the possible card combination held. If this will happen, the player using such will be at advantaged.

It could have pros and cons in online poker in general if ever the time comes it could see through almost everything.

People will try to use AI for making profits, in gambling, or some other ways. I think some people are already deep into that... it's a question is it working for them or not? When it comes to poker, AI can't destroy it, and I am sure it will not work perfectly all the time... just like I have lucky and unlucky days, AI will have them too. And can you imagine a table with all AI players? In the end, someone needs to lose on that table... poker and cards can be crazy sometimes, I am not sure that AI is aware of that.

Even his answers don't make much sense...

We are required to complete wagering requirements to unlock the locked BCD balance.

1293  Economy / Economics / Re: First Republic Bank fall: fear of more others to follow. on: April 27, 2023, 07:18:43 PM
If the banks are capable to pay out all the deposits to the people, who want to withdraw them, there's nothing to worry about.
The real problem will appear, when the banks don't have any money to pay their depositors. It seems that First Republic Bank is handling the situation very well. It's normal for the banks to start facing difficulties. The interest rate hikes are intended to drive the financial sector into stagnation. This will lower the inflation and the economy will stop depending on the money printing machine(at least for a while).
The key word here is "if". The very architecture of the modern banking system is such that not a single bank in the world can withstand the "raid of depositors." Typically, banks' reserve requirements for equity capital do not exceed 10-15% (and this is an optimistic estimate). No one knows how many paper unrealized losses that arose after a sharp rise in the key rate are in reality on the balance sheets.

The architecture of the modern system. The entire system is fucked up:

Quote
Kwon, suspected of being the one behind the losses of over 40 billion dollars, was arrested at the airport in Montenegro’s capital of Podgorica on March 23.

His company in Serbia was registered with the main activity of “consultancy services,” and was established with 100 Serbian dinars in capital, which is less than a euro.
- Source: Arrested “crypto king” sets up company in Serbia while evading Interpol

I saw and heard about many systematic scams in which many institutions were involved. But did we ever have some real closure? I don't think so...
And banks are at the top of the pyramid, everything goes through them in the end. And whatever shit they make the governments will bail them out and the board of directors will receive their bonuses at the end of the year.
1294  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: April 26, 2023, 08:20:23 PM
Do we have any casino that can meet up with stake standard right now in the industry...

Honestly speaking probably no.

... because as we all know stake has built a well-defined reputation both here in the forum and outside the forum and this is what most casinos have not been able to meet up with?
Take for example I read somewhere that stake allowed a user to withdraw up to 200k winning without them demanding for KYC and this is what is rare among most casinos.

But I like some other casinos a lot more. In the end, each of us is free to discover different crypto-gambling casinos, and there are some really good places. I am having fun on Wolf... after months of not visiting them, I started again. They have something unique that draws me in. So people should be free and test different places in the end, if you don't try it yourself you will not know is it good for you or not.
1295  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the pet industry recession-proof? on: April 26, 2023, 06:58:31 PM
I am thinking out of the box and with the current technology development we are not too far from reaching the complete virtual reality world so why would someone is going to spend a lot of money from their monthly earnings when they are capable of watching the same animal either its a dog, cat or fish or anything then I would choose the advanced virtual reality.

Yes, it may not completely same as the pet near us but trend will change everything so I wonder pet industry does have any potential at all in the next decade?

You can't believe it... I couldn't believe it either, but after watching a few documentaries I changed my mind. Some people in some countries spend more money on their pet/pets weekly than I earn from months of working. Pedicures, manicures, hairdressers. special shops with clothes and all "accessories", everything for beloved pets. I don't think we will see this trend dropping to some lower levels, pets have become a substitute for children, partners, friends... there were many such cases before, but every year more and more people decide on this path.

The pet industry is growing year after year, but I don't think we can say that the pet industry is recession-proof. If I take my city as an example 10 years ago we had one or two pet stores (+300k city population), and now we have them on every corner. Supply is definitely rising, but demand will not rise to infinity.

When it comes to the prices, I have pets, and feeding them cost a lot more compared with the prices from a year ago.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 26, 2023, 01:21:43 PM
Politicians have their hands in everything, nothing can happen without them. I guess in some developed countries there are some rules and regulations about "conflict of interest" in this matter, and maybe even more important those rules and regulations are applied. In my country, this is shady as it can be... gambling is on the up-trend, casinos are almost everywhere, and they are generating a lot of income. There are rules and regulations, but there are tricks on how to avoid them as well. It's especially easy with the help of corrupted institutions that stay blind to whatever happens.

1297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any point to start trading with 20$? on: April 26, 2023, 07:39:25 AM
...
You could possibly start with $20 just for the experience; don't expect to make any significant profit, while there's a decent chance that you'll waste your money, like others already mentioned. If you're okay with that, go ahead. However, is it worth it? I'm not exactly sure. In my opinion, I believe you should try just to experience what's being mentioned in the thread, and you'll be the one to judge if it's worth it or not. Personally, I've stuck to holding.

If he doesn't try, he'll never know if trading is for him or not. And $20 is good as any other amount, people should always start with the amount of money they can afford to lose. We must also know how to try something, and how to check the markers before jumping into an unfamiliar. Rushing blindly into the unknown is dangerous.

And of course, it's worth it. Experience is essential, trying and learning about new stuff is important. Holding is good, but trading is also interesting, and some people are doing pretty well. The point is that OP won't know if trading is for him or not if he doesn't try it.

1. And then suddenly bang, and just like that - they started bombing and imposing sanctions? Or have I missed something?

And just like that... a few of us went to Mcdonald's that evening. On the way home we heard the sirens for the first time... I still remember that beating when I got home a few hours later.

You missed a lot of things as always. And I am not sure what I get into discussions with you when you are a "one-sided man". You justify crimes if that works for you. For me, all criminals should be punished... but in reality, the biggest criminals always get away, in all parts of the world. When you understand that maybe you will start seeing this world from another perspective.

It's not all about the money and weapons, about being a stronger or superior one... can we all have a normal and peaceful life in this world or not? Do all people in this world have the right to life or does it only apply to the chosen ones?

I will not get deeper in discussion with you, you need to expand your views. If you ever visit Serbia, or you decide to visit Serbia, I am here for you. I will show you the history since Emperor Constantine, and even earlier if you want. Balkan is a beautiful place despite all the shit that happened here.

1299  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 25, 2023, 06:48:59 PM
There are kinds of gambling we play in our local settings doesn't demand the inclusion of money, it's all for the fun that comes with it and it's still regarded as gambling just same way with the superpick game. They're all gambling without or without money involved.

You didn't feel it... maybe you are too young, or older but without experience. Anyway, if you don't risk you don't gamble! And the more you risk the higher excitement can be! Some people feel it and get hooked for life.

Once again I can only point out that risking money is not the craziest gambling, in the chase of excitement people are ready to risk a lot more than "just money". That risk and excitement that comes from that can't be felt in playing "demo modes or playing some games on your console".

It's not gambling if you don't risk any money (or anything else) for a chance to get something more from that. End of story. OP should lock this thread, some comments are really ridiculous. Spend some time reading others before you post anything...

But there is one more thing: The courts are not the ones who run these casinos. So if they can't steal users funds anymore by simply closing accounts, common sense says they'll be finding new ways to cheat customers.... So watch out to play only provably fair (that you actually understand) games and live games where you can actually verify you're not being cheated.
I had my history with fortunejack and they have some strange policies with their legal team that resulted in confiscating of my coins.
They recently sent me last email saying that my account will be closed because of inactivity after I didnt want to perform kyc verification.
It was my choice to stop using and recommending them, and I accepted my loses, but I would be real pissed if that amount was 120k.
I am not saying fj is a scam, but there are much better casinos around.

I stopped playing at FortuneJack on February 19, 2018. I found my thread from that time... Not a huge problem, but their support was horrible, and after that "incident" with slots I stopped playing and I never visited FJ again. I found much better casinos around, and I still think that some other casinos are better than FJ.
As Notblox1 I will not say that FJ is a scam, they had a good start, but something in their "relationship" with us players went sideways. I don't have any plans to try them again...
