... predicted the holographic nature of perception and memory
Predicting something doesn't count for anything unless the thing is later discovered to exist. Please point me to any experimental evidence linking memory and perception to anything holographic. There are ongoing experiments (see below) testing the principle, but that's not what I was saying. The principle itself is backed in the knowledge and experience of two of the most brilliant physicists and neuroscientists of our time. It's not as you say, something "Talbot pulled out of his ass". http://phys.org/news/2010-10-holometer-universe-hologram.html

Mega relies on resellers to process retail payments. All it takes is for someone to set up a Mega reseller that takes BTC for payment.
Whats funny is most of these resellers appear to be shadow companies that almost solely set up to move money from them to mega. If he thinks the card companies wont catch onto this shell game of his he is fucking kidding himself. edit: actually just checked that link, it appears that they want actual legitimate companies to offer become resellers. The fact is that no real business would risk doing any existing revenue source when faced with being shut down and having their revenue stream compromised

Too many people saved their fiat for the weekend, hoping for a "Weekend deep". When the weekend came and "The Deep" turned out to be nothing but a fizzle... What do you do with all this red-hot fiat now?
I think the change of MtGox price behavior that we see now is fundamental. The coins are becoming fundamentally more scarce. Miners only produce half of what they used to, and tend to hoard bigger portion to themselves. With impending ASIC disruption, the mined coins will be even harder to come by. The piles of "old money" dwindled, and what is left is not for sale at this level.
Coin holders who are bearish on the currency had every chance to sell into the steady price appreciation we've seen since September event. And most of them did, their selling reaching its peak in mid-December when the price "stalled". Bears just do not posses enough coins to make difference any longer.
So, the end result is that in reality the coins are currently much more scarce than the market assumes. The realization of this fact is now slowly trickling into a price action. It will be interesting to see at what price point the supply will increase enough to balance the increased demand.

Make a bet Proudhon - I'll bet you 10 btc we continue the climb next week
How could you bet with him? He should have sold all his BTCs. There are multiple people here who try and use the forum to manipulate the price down when it suits them so they can get more coins. I'm beginning to think that Proudhon is one of them. https://sites.google.com/site/waveaddictcharts/Check this list. I figured, hah.

If you are young enough to recover if it goes up in smoke tomorrow, then by all means, go for it. I have 85% of my holdings in btc, bought in stagggered increments between 5-11 and I'm pretty happy I did.
That being said, we are at an acceleration point right now in the curve and this is when all of the emotional money is coming in. After we hit 20+, I'm guessing we will correct to somewhere around this neighborhood. So either do it quick like or wait for the correction.

Michael Talbot just pulls that out of his ass. There's no science behind it.
The book is based on the science from these two guys, so I'm not sure what you are talking about: David Bohm, widely considered one of the best quantum physicists of all time and protégé of Albert Einstein and the quantum physicist and a neurophysiologist at Stanford University, Austrian-born, Karl Pribram, who, in fact predicted the holographic nature of perception and memory.

Incidentally, the term "holographic" is somewhat misleading. There's no experimental evidence (nor is there a theoretical requirement) that the information is arranged holographically on the surface of a black hole.
So don't be distracted by the terminology. It's just a "popular" way to convey the concept that the information capacity of a 3-D object is proportional to its surface area rather than to its volume.
Michael Talbot actually goes into alot of detail about how our memories are stored and form holographically and that the nature of the universe is specifically holographic (similar to a fractal). I would be interested in understanding from your perspective why you see the terminology as a distraction.

If you want to discuss what he did in the past, move it to the other mega thread.

Bravo for coming back and taking your licks like a man.
I would recommend:
1. Startup your entrepreneurial spirit again. Build something that bitcoin needs - you are a smart kid and you will make something of yourself. You cannot talk your way out of this one, you will need to regain your rep through deeds, not words. Channel your energy into something amazing for the community. 2. Keep your scammer tag, dont make a new account. Wear it, so everytime you post you remember how bad things can go wrong if you lose sight of your humility. 3. Become conscious of your urge to troll (when it happens), watch it and let it pass. Do not act on it or on others who attempt to troll you (there are more than a few in this thread).
Best of luck to you
