1281  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can a beginner fast learn and contribute to bitcoin forum on: May 02, 2023, 11:28:30 AM
Hello everyone I'm new here.
Please what are  the fastest ways to learn about bitcoin? and how can a software development student meaningfully contribute to the forum?

Don't ask about the fastest way but rather take all slow since you need to digest all the information available since this could help you big if you want to make all things especially on your investment to be placed in good shape. Thinking about rushing all things might put your capital at risk since there are so many scammers promise easy riches to people here and you might fall to good to be true offer by those frauds.
1282  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I have Traveled on all Thailand and Spending only Crypto! on: May 02, 2023, 10:33:00 AM
Some of them use flowery sentence just to highlight bitcoin on their extra curricular activities then post it here maybe to get merits.
If this is a new way to get merits, people are desperate about the merit system, I hope that it is an attempt to share *another amazing Bitcoin payment story*

I saw many videos for people who used bitcoin only to travel, but they were well planned visit with an additional balance of the dollar, which was transferred from Bitcoin to Cash.
So it is possible if the trip is well planned.

Merit is hard to earn so I'm not really surprised for some users creates unrealistic claim to boost up their post and then trying to get some attention of many reputable users here. But unfortunately many people doesn't like to hear make up stories that's why he didn't get much praise but instead many people trying to correct some wrongs perspective about what's the real deal on that country.

I see a vlogger trying to use bitcoin only on Boracay Philippines but at the end of his video he said that he really get a hard time to find service and merchant which accept bitcoin directly on that place .
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: April 30, 2023, 02:14:43 PM
Playing gambling is at individual risk, no one is to  be blamed if their is lose of money. Sueing someone for lose does not make any sense. Gambling is  meant for adults to make decisions to play or not, Gambling has rules which has never been stated that it is a crime to hold someone responsible for asking one to play gamble.
Sometimes someone invites his friends to play gambling and they both experience the same defeat. His friend could blame that person for asking him to gamble and causing him to lose. This has often been encountered and not infrequently ends with the breakup of the friendship. But they both know what the risks of gambling are and can accept whatever the outcome is, they won't blame each other and can even keep laughing while lamenting their defeat. This requires maturity on the part of a person to know that anything he does in gambling can cost him money.

Maybe he hype his friend so much that's why he was been blame about bad situation happen to him. To avoid this its really better to tell all information they needed since if his friend can understand the risk of their games played then they will never mock at you but instead healthy discussion will be build up and  possibly that they can create good plan towards the options they want to try on.

Its good that your friend understand the risk and its condition so that you can avoid blame game and can create good eye view to influence people to gamble responsibly and take care on their capital set.
1284  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I have Traveled on all Thailand and Spending only Crypto! on: April 30, 2023, 11:04:23 AM
But its little much unbelievable that he really use pure bitcoin on his travel since bitcoin is not been announce as legal tender on that country so provably a bitcoin user in that place will struggle to find merchant accepts bitcoin as mode of payment. For sure there's fiat use in that travel since this is more convenient currency for now to used by any travelers.

OP worded it poorly. From the looks of it, they merely sold their bitcoins for cash so this isn't about merchants accepting bitcoin as a payment. In fact, last I heard Thailand banned it and I haven't seen any retractment of statement, see: https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/thailand-ban-use-digital-assets-payments-april-sec-2022-03-23/

Yeah that's why its ridiculous claim that he only use crypto since so far this currency is not well acknowledge by big merchants. If he only point out on El Salvador maybe people will really find this story amazing.
So for sure fiat is really needed on this travel since he really get a hard time to search for merchant which accept bitcoin directly. Hopefully this will happen into that country or globally but this is long legal battle where bitcoin need to pass on.
1285  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 29, 2023, 10:10:13 PM

Roobet have this, though this is the problem with other site since they ask for KYC after depositing funds or before the withdrawals, this create panic and confusion as many didn’t care about the terms and conditions at all. This could be a strategy for a site to attract more gamblers but if you are a responsible gamblers, you’ll understand the policy of the site before you register, this should be a mandatory protocol for every new users.
Each casino have their own system but as a responsible gambler you must be aware about the system otherwise you can't shift the blame on casino. They have set terms which you accept so it's mandatory according to them but we are ignoring it on our part but yes we should make ourselves aware about it.

Rules are made to make things work smooth on both ends so a gambler should be responsible reading up all the conditions written to see if they can agree to the rules set by the casino and to be aware of other things they didn't allow their users to do. Almost all casino has identical rules but a gambler still need to be informed about possible updates so they still need to spend time since its good to be informed rather than be surprised if your account is subject to an investigation.

Hey to all, so I'm in Thailand and I have used someone service to convert crypto to cash, and it was so amazing and fast!
I want to recommend it for everyone who need cash in Thailand for crypto 100% safe!
I'm sorry to be rude, but you are a newbie account without any trust list, and therefore we cannot trust what you are trying to say, just as the link that you are trying to provide does not indicate anything.

There are many P2P trading platforms, you can ask him to create an account there like Bisq.

1287  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't claim to be an investor if it's still like this on: April 29, 2023, 10:49:07 AM
Almost 99% of investors want to deposit today, tomorrow they will become sultans.  Actually it can't be like that.  It could be possible that tomorrow it will be a loss and the next day it may still be a loss.

If we have lost, we have to pivot, analyze again, find out why, where did it go wrong, what is the future.  Not if the loss is already screaming scam, blaming people who give "advice", following influence etc.

What we have to understand first is that there is no investment today, tomorrow you will become a sultan. Even next year or in 10 years, you will not necessarily become a sultan.  Warren Buffet alone only returns 29% per year.  And that means if we invest $10k, it will only be $12.9k next year, not immediately becoming sultan.  Warren Buffet became a sultan because of consistent profits for decades. The key is patience, discipline and consistency in making investment decisions.  Warren Buffet never loses?  Of course, in 2015 Warren Buffet lost $444 million in Tesco shares.

Nothing wrong about something what you want to become or like dreaming about getting huge profit on your investment since it can give you motivation to give a try on risky investments. Although there are times that we got scam but atleast we learn a lot from it and be more careful next time when putting our money for second time or more.

Although what you think is so big which is somehow impossible but atleast people try to make their life better by taking some action that they think it could possibly change their lives.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 28, 2023, 02:13:56 PM
Yes, Tank is better than Garcia. This should not only silence Garcia in trash-talking against Tank, he should also be silenced in some of his arrogant trash-talks about him being the king, having been defeated by no other boxer, etc. He is defeated. He is even knocked out. And the knock out was humiliating in a sense because he was the one who refused to stand up, even if it was impossible to stand up. That is already something to some fans and opponents.

Although we can say now that Garcia is not on Tank's level, I really wonder where Garcia now if he hadn't faced all those challenges in his life which distracted his focus on boxing and affected his entire career.
Nah, he'll be alright. He didn't look disappointed after the fight, and he knew inside that Tank is really a tough fighter and that he could lose. We hate him because of his trash-talking ability, but in reality, that's what you call effective marketing on his side. So let's just hope for the best for Garcia, who suffered his first defeat. I'm confident that he'll come back strong soon!

I think Ryan should change his trainer he put up a very bad game plan, Roy Jones summarizes it by questioning who told Ryan to stalk a puncher like Davis, is it Goosen his trainer or he just acted on his own, Ryan has to change the way he boxes the head is always stationary he has a big left hook fighter who lacks ring generalship.
I believe Ryan still has a future in boxing but it is hard for him to be as great as his idol Manny Pacquiao, he will meet another highly technical boxer with a good ring generalship and power punch in the future and he should prepare for it, now he knows what's like to fight in a big fight like this, he is 0 title against a guy who is 12 - 0 in a title fight, so the result is pretty obvious.

That's what I have thought as well, maybe Goosen did a poor job on training or at least putting up a strategy on this fight against Davis. Although in the pre fight conference, he said that they have plan A and plan B.

However, we don't know if Ryan bypass it and just went with his own strategy which is to stalk a puncher like Tank and that his is downfall. His family is pretty close to Goosen though, then know each other so not sure if the Garcia's will look for another trainer or not. Remember that he was under the wing of Reynoso before he shift to Goosen in his last 3 fights.

Taking this loss as a good learning path to his career,

so instead of changing trainer better to try finding what's lacking him and adjust to be more prepared in case he will face another fighter with the same level as Tank or possible if a rematch may take place.

Improving needs time and it will be a good timing for him and Goosen to work it out and try to focus and stay
with what's the fight plan if in case he tries using his own strategy.

Yes indeed no need to change his trainer since he will adjust on new learnings again so better improve things that needed to work on. Its just one lost and he can still work more with that to learn a lot of things om what he experience from davis, he need to grow up since that fight reminds him that there are more better fighter than him.
Improvement really takes time but Garcia is talented fighter so for sure he can adjust and became more wiser after his unfortunate match.
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in bitcoin on: April 28, 2023, 12:09:37 PM
Yes, holding Bitcoin for the long-term can be a good investment strategy for those who believe in the long-term potential of the cryptocurrency. It is true that the price of Bitcoin can be volatile in the short-term, but over the long-term, Bitcoin has shown a tendency to increase in value.

If you zoom out the bitcoin chart from it was created until now, you will see that bitcoin will always increase over time. And if you're an investor with a lot of faith in bitcoin, short-term volatility presents a better opportunity than a time to panic. Because every time bitcoin drops in price is an opportunity for us to buy cheap bitcoin. And that's why I prefer bear markets to bull markets.

Yes, investing in bitcoin might not be guaranteed but the risks are actually minimized as bitcoin is already a decade long and has been proven throughout the years compared to the other coins that got more risks as most of them are centralized. Altcoins are also good investments but we need to be careful from choosing which altcoin should we include in our portfolio because there dozens of them which are just too good to be true.

The fact that bitcoin is here standing strong even if there's so many fuds hit it and still it survive then climb up to more good price figures we can say that bitcoin is a best choice. Its stand is been proven and even if we see a price fall still chances for it to pump back to what its past original price is possible so patience is really important when deciding to invest on this coin.
Altcoins is also good investment but we should not extend anything like expecting to much on it since alts are not so good in terms of price recovery so we might be in bad position especially if we pick a shitcoin to invest.
1290  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to get bitcoins for free? on: April 28, 2023, 10:07:48 AM
I saw that 1 BTC was allocated as the main prize of the contest, but I do not know how honestly the results are summarized and indeed this bitcoin is transferred to the winner. It is more realistic to get a Bitcoin particle through a faucet, but this is too small a part, which is measured in cents.

If the contest creator is reputable and have proof that they really distribute the prize to the real winner and transparent for everything peoples ask then maybe its worth to try to participate on those contest...

Of course, if a well-known brand acts as the organizer or sponsor of the event, then there is no doubt about the honesty of the winner's choice. But we most often see that such an organizer is an unknown company that does not even have its own website, so you should not expect an honest distribution of the prize fund.

For having that we can assure that they really sure to distribute the prize to the real winner, since this can give good exposure to their brands and can give more bigger impact since many people will talk about the happenings of the event especially the prize given by the sponsor of the event.

Only those unknown website those unknown website is really valid to doubt because we don't know if they are real with their contest, as well if they could really give the prize without further more requirements asked.
1291  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #1 VIP Crypto Casino 💠 Come in and explore our new design ✨ on: April 27, 2023, 10:02:38 PM
If you look at the weekly and daily charts bitcoin is not yet going to get above $30k they will still be playing below it to as low as $27k, but it is possible that something will push up at any moment, I am not a financial or bitcoin expert but I think whoever is predicting the price the one closest to $30k will be the winner as the price won't be far away and will continue to fluctuate for a while.

Banks is collapsing same as fiat. Bitcoin is the number choice to escape inflation in fiat. I think Bitcoin will pump more in the following weeks due to the bank and inflation crisis on US.

It could possibly happen since many investor will find way to escape the  catastrophe happening on bank stocks and bitcoin will gain more popularity with that especially when green candles will continue to occur and banks will still collapsed. For sure there are more things to wait as bitcoin still gaining some positive expectation that it will possibly break above $30k price level or more.

More cool things to speculate especially if you are participating on current and upcoming BTC price predictor contest of bitcasino.
1292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Staking really great way in crypto wealth on: April 27, 2023, 02:03:05 PM
Staking when price fall you just buy more and put in to staking once price goes up you don't need to sell it you continue to staking so after u earn more.
The new feature on exchangers the EARN could be one of the best ways to earn income some of them Even no lock up or little as 14 days.
No liquitation risk and you sleep well newbie friendly method..instead of trading off course If you know what you doing trading good Also but staking Are great one.

What do you mean by staking? Is it lending your balance to platform and wait for certain return on set timeline?

Or just let it been hold on your wallet?

If you talk about first well that's real staking and aside waiting for returns you can earn if market pump. But the risk to lose money is there especially if the platform you use to stake your crypto is a scam site for sure with that you lose everything you hold.

But for holding it on your wallet well the risk is low since the only thing you need to watch is the volatility of the market. Your patience is needed in this option because if you didn't have that you might lose your money on bad market movement.
1293  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to get bitcoins for free? on: April 27, 2023, 12:28:17 PM
Okay so earlier I came across a site that claimed that it's possible to get bitcoins for free by just; playing offline and online games, watching ads and videos, participating in airdrops and so on...

I saw that 1 BTC was allocated as the main prize of the contest, but I do not know how honestly the results are summarized and indeed this bitcoin is transferred to the winner. It is more realistic to get a Bitcoin particle through a faucet, but this is too small a part, which is measured in cents.

If the contest creator is reputable and have proof that they really distribute the prize to the real winner and transparent for everything peoples ask then maybe its worth to try to participate on those contest. But if they are not reputable then maybe they are just doing the same scheme where they just use the efforts if their participants for free to do some task and deceive them by showing a manipulated result. This is a waste of time if this is really the real case so much better to use those realistic platform like what you said the faucet since it can give them much better result.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 26, 2023, 01:31:56 PM
The solution will be for all politicians to declare the donations or funding of their campaigns. This should be enforced and total transparency should be applied to make sure that things like this does not happen.

The problem is this... the politicians make the laws and they protect their own interests. So you should vote for politicians that can change the laws to protect the people. (This is not easy .... because most politicians are corrupt)  Tongue

I think this data will also be collected after the election but. The official handle this department will not create any actions towards that donation matters and this is what those corrupt politicians exploits since they know that if they put the money on donation side they will not be question on how much they spend during their campaigns. If our country is already in this situation where we can't do anything regarding on fixing this matters even if we complain then maybe its more better to use to revenge on election day and don't vote those politician which their name is involve on gambling and other illegal situations.
1295  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: April 26, 2023, 12:10:41 PM
Nowadays it is well known to a lot of people about their scam/scam activity and at the same time they have stopped promoting them on the forum which will help the user as they will not get any promotion. And without promotion, their SEO will go down as a result a lot of users will be able to save their fund from being scammed by 1xbit.
I'm afraid it's not that simple sadly. 1xbit has been following a specific pattern in this forum for a long time and I don't think they will change it anytime soon.

Pattern: Promote site(Sig campaigns etc) -> Break -> Repeat!

Have observed them following this specific pattern for several years now. They have plenty of resources to back them up.
But lowering their budget each time seems to be showing that they are starting to doubt the capacity of their advertising that they are gathering enough money from bitcointalk users to break even their expenses from paying their participants.

so maybe their past process are changing slowly and maybe we will find them stopping their collaboration also in bitcointalk in the coming days.
and I believe that this will happen in the sooner time.

Maybe they already feel that people doesn't like their existence on this forum because many tag them as scam casino that's the reason why they cannot prolong their marketing campaign since they didn't see a good result for having that. Your thoughts about leaving this forum might come true because for sure if they continue to receive negative feedbacks for sure they will find another alternative platform where they can advertise their casino.
1296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How is the chance of $PEPE to become the next $SHIB? on: April 26, 2023, 10:32:01 AM
Maybe there will be an opportunity but it will not be as big as SHIB, SHIB was backed by big businessman Elon Musk so it achieved this amazing growth.

Anyway, I got to know the PEPE token on the CoinEx exchange for the first time, where there is a contest to win $5,000 for trading on the PEPE / USDT market. There is a very good trading volume and I expect a big growth for the token.

I don't know where you got the information that Elon Musk was behind Shiba, but I think it's just rumors.
It's possible that PEPE won't be the next Shiba, but looking at the chart, it's running quite well and probably in a few weeks it could turn out to be a real gem.
The same or very similar situation is with WOJAK. I think we should keep an eye on both of these coins.
It was just a rumor because anytime that Elon do make out some tweet about a certain coin then it would really be making out some pump. Remember about tweeting
about some UFO icon as far as i remember on which the price of coin did really soar up high and people make out some predictions and assumptions that Elon might be holding up this kind of coin. Next on the time that he had tweet about DOGE then it do soar up and then after that which Dog named coins is soaring up high which is something not that shocking considering this market is really that highly reactive when it comes to news and sentiments specially if it do comes from Elon.

Since there's no official news regarding on Elon's participation to hype PEPE people should not take this news seriously because any hyping strategy could exist just to fool them. And its really bad for them if they believe without verifying this information then they lose their investments by those informations they read.

Its clear that he is into DOGE and its more realistic if the news came out is all about this coin since for so many months he's showing strong support/manipulation to this coin because he know he can take an advantage of this one since this is the most famous meme coin available in the market.
Hype do come and go and on the time the hype settles down then this is where correction do happen and on the time that you got fomo then you would really be finding yourself get stuck on the peak price which you might be holding for a very long time until the price would be hitting up your position, but if not then it would really be that ending up holding
some shitcoins forever.

Hype is always there with those shitcoin and they are temporary comes since once all has been settled up with devs side and they got enough volume which they think that can make their wallet fat for sure dumping will follow with that. Its hard to believe for something more huge once those shitcoin reaching there ATH since most provably next will happen to that is dumping stage which newbie investors need to watch for because by this incident many people became a bag holders on those shit token exist in the market.
1297  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to get bitcoins for free? on: April 25, 2023, 01:48:02 PM
Okay so earlier I came across a site that claimed that it's possible to get bitcoins for free by just; playing offline and online games, watching ads and videos, participating in airdrops and so on. They also recommended apps that give out bitcoin for free  like coinbase. Bitcoin, ranked as one of the most expensive cypto currencies can be earned for free by just watching ads? Nah I just find it hard to believe cause I've seen a lot of scam related schemes that claim to give out bitcoin for free. I don't know, I might be wrong cause I'm still a newbie that's why I brought this here, to see if I can get some clarification on the matter. Thank you.
Given the fact that these tasks for you to earn some bitcoin is a fact, there's still no guarantee that those accumulated bitcoins to be withdrawable. History, even until today shows that bunch of these websites are frauds.
So, the time and effort you exerted to do certain task (although it's not that much) has a high possibility to be wasted.
Because of that, I think it would be better to avoid it at all.

To waste of time spent on such platforms especially if they will not pay their users. Also I think its not really worth to try those platforms because the payment is so low and we cannot get rewarded properly even if we exert huge effort to do their task asked. Much really better with this is to learn skills since its more rewarding than doing some simple task online.

I see a lot of newbies still doing faucets but they can't withdraw their earnings so much better not to recommend this so that they can learn other things that is more rewarding to them.

1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 25, 2023, 10:49:35 AM
Ryan is not ripe for this kind of fight,

He's ripe and we can see it to his record but Tank Davis is just so good for him. Davis exposed his weaknesses very well that's why he totally dominated him and got a huge victory on their fight.

losing by a technical knockout is not good for a superstar like him, he is good only for social media and still has a lot to learn in boxing.

One lose cannot break out his achievement also he's so young there's so many room for improvement so provably he will bounce back for this big defeat he encounter in the hands of Davis. That big lose is a huge wake up call for him that he need to improve more so that he can maintain his superstar status and also to defeat more big names in industry.

Yes, Ryan Garcia doesn't need to fret about this fight because after all, it's not a total loss on his side because there's an experience which he learned from it. That same experience will be his guide and be the reason to step up his fight even more to be more unpredictable because Tank Davis literally exposed him. Being strong is not about being undefeated, it is about how you stand up after you stumble.

Nonetheless, Ryan Garcia somehow improved on that fight like his defense has been improved wherein his past fights, you can't see him really guarding himself because he was too focused giving the offensive strikes. But even that is not enough to take on Gervonta Davis, better luck next time.
Ryan Garcia has an issue regarding on his past depression so lets hope this will not came up to him and he don't take those lose as total big deal on his career since he can bounce back after that big lose of his career.

He just need to learn from what he experience to Tank Davis since it can help to his career if he strive more to became more better fighter and let that lost as big learning experience to him. Maybe for now Gervonta Davis is to much for him and he should do better more once their rematch will be set to happen again.
1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: April 23, 2023, 03:27:49 PM
If someone buys a coin in the spot market, they got nothing to worry about since even if the price drops significantly, they will still have their coins in their wallet and they have the option to keep them until the price recovers back and gets higher than the point of buying so that they can sell.
This strategy is for bitcoin. It doesn't work with most altcoins, even those in the top 10. If you bought Ripple at $3 in 2018, how long do you think you have to wait before your investment returns to cost? It's been over 5 years now, but XRP is still far from that value and it's not certain it will reach those values anytime soon. So the notion that altcoins on the spot market can be held indefinitely until they return to their price values is actually a huge misconception. The only thing you can do in altcoins all the time is sit at a loss, or with those coins that have turned into a mountain of junk and no one else wants them.
Yeah, perhaps. Altcoins are always too risky to be held for long-term, no matter how famous or trusted they are at the moment of buying, you can never really know if you are ever going to get even an ROI after investing in an altcoin. As you said, even some of the coins that used to be in the top 10 are now struggling to reach a good price point.

Those who are to invest in altcoins should always check their history and how they have been doing for the past couple of years at least, if a token is new, it's better to avoid it, but if it's old, a bit of research before the investment should do well.

For other alts which is not listed at least at top 20 in the market listing site then its so hard to think about that we will provably earn huge with them. Since turn out of events like dev scamming is really possible, so if they want to invest much better if they could just choose the  top tier altcoins which gather millions of volume everyday qnd for this maybe they can get a best result and this could give us less stress rather than investing on new tokens.
