It's how all IPO's go these days! The dev literally sets what he wants for each coin and then gets BTC up front before a wallet even comes out! It's insanity man. Why do people buy in? Your guess is as good as mine. They hate money, that's all I can figure.
It's because IPOs can make money for investors too. Look at NXT with their insane rate of return. Even for all the failed ICOs on Bittrex, most made money for investors if they sold early. XBC on polo was like a 40x return on investment at one point. Via, another recent one (non-exchange ICO), has gone up to 6x investment. Of course pump/dumps aren't healthy for crypto, and plenty of people have been burned on ICOs too. But that's why they are popular. But to work even short term, they probably need to sell out, and that is becoming less likely the more ICOs that Bittrex runs. The original IPO for NXT was 2 sats per NXT!!!!!!!!!!!! This developer is asking for 10,000 sats + per coin. You are comparing apples and oranges. This developer is going to be rich on day 1. |

Jap. If they dump the remaining coins after ico it will be cheaper than voot last night  as if they would destory them. rofl... This is a pure get rich by scamming you coin. THE DEVELOPER IS LITTERALLY SELLING 97% of the coins at his choice in price. FUCKING SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never witnessed such a thing in my life. I must admit, I saw nothing unique about Reddcoin at first. It just didn't make sense to me from a PoW standpoint. But after I heard about the switch to PoSV, I became interested. Also, the community. Makes loud noise, hard to ignore Reddcoin! Anyway, I am a firm believer of PoS systems. I invested in Nxt and also like Ripple. The big thing RDD has over the former two is immediate utility in the form of social tipping. The marketing is good on this. Makes Reddcoin the feel good coin. I'm not only an investor, but I'm using my coin to promote social tipping and will do this more and more. There is no use for my Nxt other than sit in a forging pool. But, with RDD post PoSV, I can be part of the transaction network like Nxt and put my Reddcoin to good positive uses.
I am a NXT fan so I won;t mention anything about it in response. But what I love about Reddcoin is it is litterally NOT A CRYPTOCURRENCY! It is something different. A Social Currency! See you on the moon!  |

Because i'm tired to see fud on EVERY coin launch out there. It's like being in a hairdresser place with a bunch of Womens whining constantly about everything. Whenever I am around, I reply on the forums simply. What makes it a shitcoin? Looks better than anything else we launched this week to be honest. 5000 block premine does= shitcoin? >> At least that premine isn't hidden like Elitecoin.. And premine.. they all have it. Why don't you just pass on and do something of your time. I am doing something with my time. I am letting people know this coin has a 7 day 5000 block premine. Please keep telling people! I am sick of people getting scammed. |

See you on the moon! thanks, made a substantial purchase not a cosmic level purchase but not too small either, I actually made my decision in big part to this write up http://www.reddit.com/r/reddCoin/comments/2bur7q/why_reddcon_is_going_to_the_top_part_2/world does not need any more secrets, what we need is open societies and open commerce fair commerce, believe reddcoin has this at its foundation, and that is it no much more, maybe advice in general not to speculate (hard to convince people, but I am trying) and keep coins for value and grow community thats all  Very cool write up thank you! |
