At least you should try to be a bit smarter and know what you shouldn't say/write... What i'm saying is, that people that makes coins are in for money, not for fun, so in one way or another they only cares about money. Why is Darksend not open source? Because they care about money. because at the moment other people have something similar they will stop buying darkcoin, so per defination, coin owners only care about profit. buy-black the new PoS protocol can be copied and will be copied. Some people will fail in copying it an ruin their own coin (like WC/AC), but some more experienced developer will successfully integrate it in their own project. Just as rat4 was able to successfully copy the NovaCoin/PeerCoin/Bitcoin technologies. Thats open source.
Maybe some people don't like this idea, but this is how it works, and I don't want BC to become another Ripple.
If the coin will go from open source there will be more to lose that what you lose by having copy cats. It will shake a lot of confidence in the coin and there will be another rift in the community , a not needed one , especially when things are going great right now. |

prepare for the crash of the alts
I don't get this. At Bitcoin's all time high - back in December, PPC and XPM were at 0.05 and 0.04 respectively (now much less). Litecoin was 0.03 (now 0.017). Whenever Bitcoin declines, all the alts decline faster. Whenever Bitcoin climbs, all the alts do well since there's more money in crypto generally. Why should be "prepare for the crash of the alts" ? No obvious reason , of course. Bitcoin price is going up so all the alts will follow. Even if the price in satoshi declines by 10% if bitcoin gains 15% vs the usd your investment is still in green. This is what is currently happening in doge terms. But his statement is just fud. |

I think the goal of this coin is absolutely absurd.....if anyone did some research they would find that there are laws that OPEC oil must be traded in U.S dollars, granted there are plenty of special interests that would like to see this changed to a different currency, but why would anyone choose this? I would like to see a plan on how this grand idea will be implemented......or this is just another coin trying to jump into a market that anything new and flashy gets popular........people are stupid......but i dont think they are THIS stupid
As I've already stated - OPEC coin goal is not to replace or even challenge USD as the currency which is used to buy/sell OPEC's oil, however it could be useful financial instrument that will reflect total daily dollar volume of oil produced by OPEC countries. In that way buying/selling OPEC coin would be a bet on the price of oil and the oil output from OPEC member states. Care to explain in details how this will work? You are going to peg a currency in a free market to a volatile commodity ? |

Well thank you, one thing I do understand about cryptos is that a hype rarely lasts longer than a month no matter what you do and that you have to make the most out of it now. If you really think you can keep peoples eyes pointed at fuelcoin for more than week without a big announcement you're very naive. Let's be honest, do you really see any real world use case scenarios for fuelcoin, merchant acceptance, fuelcoin ATM's, the works? You don't have to agree with me, but the reality is that right now the things that draw attention the most are anon, exotic algos and coincutting, so if you want to rise you'll have to go with this flow.
Don't get me wrong, being one of the major stakeholders I would love to see Fuelcoin rise to incredible heights, but I don't see it staying there for very long no matter what happens, and I don't expect it to happen at all if none of the fashionable new stuff is announced.
And my above post wasn't meant to look like "a plan", in fact I don't have a plan at all for fuelcoin and I'm not willing to contribute anything to it apart from a couple of million fuelcoin in bounties. I'm just trying to get people enthousiastic to stir things up, and yes I'm giving some examples of what would draw attention, because we've seen these things draw the attention over and over again.
Sorry but you're plan is . ride the hype wave , don't bother longterm with real world usage as there will be none. Not really a good plan for a bagholder , in my humble opinion. Fit for a pump and dump more. |

Simple , people are starting to understand how pumps work and how some are made out of thin air... And this was what the last pump was all about .. about nothing. People get excited about new coins too easily. Just take a look at Bittrex. Hundreds of BTC being thrown at coins that will not even be here in a couple of months. Indeed , more and more the entire crypto world resembles a joke. But , it is still a joke where you can make some good money. I've abandoned the ideals that brought me to bitcoin a long time ago and turned more to profit. |

Do they use facebook ? twitter ? do they have their own social medias ? Business web pages ? News web pages ? Isnt it actually the best idea to point some advertisement in this direction ? Get some people who speak the respective languages and get some info/news/infographic etc on there ? One possible direction that might be of interest is if OPEC coin is backed by the value of daily oil production (or maybe moving average over N days) of OPEC member countries. In this way trading in OPEC coin would be equivalent to trade in the price of oil and daily oil output - it will be a financial instrument that is currently not available in the market and might gain some traction. OPEC's working language is English as this is a diverse organization with member states from Arab world, Latin America and Iran. It is not clear how to localize the approach as the organization is truly global. Care to share how you plan to approach an organization that doesn't bother when government officials request a meeting ? =)))) Are you people really insane? |

You guys are wasting time on doing those useless efforts.
A few years down the road, I expect the "grid" to be a thing of the past. Did you see the story about Google acquiring the drone company? They make solar powered drones that get put in the air and stay there for 5-6 years on solar power alone. Google wants to have a network of the things flying low enough all over the world such that wireless internet connectivity will be available to everyone everywhere. Combine that with the advancements in inverters, smart meters and things like Nest and the next thing you know, that off-grid solar system CAN be verified through protocols that are just around the corner. And SolarCoin will be right there waiting to dish out the cash to everyone who generates solar. Right now there are restrictions, yes. But this isn't going to happen overnight, there's a reason the SolarCoin project is designed over 40 years. Things change and nowadays even change is changing. Once you get your brain out of the pump and dump mindset, and expand your mind to see the vision, the puzzle pieces begin to fit in very nicely. Then again, I could be batshit crazy, so don't take my word for it.  And then in 10 years we have clean fusion energy and all the solar panels are thrown in the ocean... If you think longterm :0. |

And... You should check how the coin was and still is struggling for more than two months. Just because it has a good niche it doesn't mean immediate success. Look at how sexcoin is barely surviving also while xxx websites are embracing.... bitcoin. But , still holding a few ani , it will be a waste to try and sell them right now |
