12861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ☃☃☃ The .01 Theory ☃☃☃ on: December 11, 2017, 11:26:36 PM
The fees to sell or transfer this .01 BTC is getting absurdly expensive and will continue to rise. My theory is the fees will become so high that most people will just hold onto their BTC rather than sell.
Include me to these people, I'd rather let some of my bitcoin sleep on any exchange rather than paying those fees but the risk is really high because it can be gone anytime. But the fees are really giving me some regret when I press the send button. I want to save some and bitcoin isn't really the same as before, it's value increase and as well as the fees of it.

The transfers will take longer and longer to confirm and everything will get "stuck".

You said it, a lot of complains are coming out now that their transactions are stuck for more than 10 days.
12862  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price could exceed $100,000 by 2018, says trader on: December 11, 2017, 10:49:33 PM
Hmmm.. that's not really quite a lot to say but we have to see it first on what will be the first quarter of 2018 will be going through. If there is a positive movement and increase that will be seen during those times, then that's going to be one of the reason to believe on this. Personally I only want it to be stable at $20,000 but if this is plausible and will become true, bring it on.
12863  Economy / Economics / Re: The $1 Million Dollar Bitcoin on: December 11, 2017, 10:35:20 PM
We're heading there, impossible price speculations are starting to become reality in bitcoin. Going back to those years, no one did see that bitcoin come to this point that we are having 1 bitcoin at a very expensive rate of $16,000. $1,000,000 is possible as there are too high speculations that came out early this year and it has been said that it will be reached few more years from now on. When those people who are holding tons of altcoins that makes it market cap high and just recently jumped to bitcoin, it will happen.
12864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 15k to invest - how would YOU spread it on: December 11, 2017, 10:04:06 PM
20% in Bitcoin
Bad idea of putting 20% only to bitcoin. I'm even in the state of betting it all to bitcoin and will just sit while watching all the things that are happening to it right now. But as for spreading, here are some my of picks for that budget of $15,000.

1. Bitcoin - 50%
2. ETH - 20%
3. LTC - 15%
4. Monero - 15%

It's few but if you'll take time to see the movement of these two you'll be enough for it, though I didn't include some of the coins that are also interesting.
12865  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin on: December 11, 2017, 09:39:58 PM
Do you think Bitcoin will be down more? Now price 13708.00 ...  Huh
Look a day just passed and do you see on what's the price of bitcoin now? It's now $16,410 and that was a real quick increase for bitcoin. I don't think it will go down for some more at this moment since bitcoin futures are already in it's own market now and I believe that this will give bitcoin a good feed back and reaction for it's price. And I do see that bitcoin can get a higher value for the next weeks and also for the year of 2018.

It's just a normal thing happen on bitcoin, everytime the bitcoin price go down, 1-3 next days the price coming back to the top again. I think people called it a correction. It's time for the bitcoin price go up again with never look down again, to the moooonn!
If you observed bitcoin's movement since then, well you will notice this thing. Not all the time the price will go up and it's even obvious that not all of the time the price will be stable in falling down. And you know what, the price is moving up again, it's already close to $17,000 so with these movements bitcoin is really giving us a lot of chance to buy back before it goes to the moon. Whom are the people here that took the profit and also took time to buy some more?
12866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 on: December 11, 2017, 09:30:41 PM
Where you see the bitcoin in 2018?
The same thing will just happen for this year and also for 2018 but there is something interesting with an interview I watched with John McAfee, he said that be prepare for something like war against banks and regulators. I can't remember the whole thing but it sounds like that and that makes sense since bitcoin is starting to become popular and many of investors are jumping to it and storing their wealth and treats it as investment.

I read some writers who are considered to be specialists in bitcoin  and the ones written here include  ideas that Bitcoin will show a rise until 2019. The reason is that Bitcoin's advertising will be high this year and new investors will trigger price increases.
This will happen too for sure since there are well known people in financing that said bitcoin will reach $40,000.
12867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm donating 25 Bitcoin to good causes this Christmas. Join in and give Bitcoin on: December 11, 2017, 10:14:37 AM
Nice Dean, I'm not that rich enough but you are very generous donating that sums of bucks out there.

Trust is an important ingredient, so I think Game-Protect (https://game-protect.com/donate/) deserves some help to continue the fight and to help players to recover their funds from various gambling platforms which are scamming players and running illegal activities.

I would highly recommend Game Protect, https://game-protect.com/donate/, are extremely responsive and do their best to help the players!
Both of you are newbies and just posted here at the same time? I doubt it Dean will be giving you out any amount of donation but still nice try. I can't suggest an organization or group that you should send but consider those interesting projects or organizations that are really helping the needy from depressed areas. You will be in history Dean! Keep it up!

12869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you ever convince or encourage someone to invest in Bitcoin? on: December 11, 2017, 09:19:08 AM
Have you ever convinced or encouraged anyone to invest in Bitcoin and did you have success?
I did taught some people but I didn't encouraged them to get into bitcoin and they are my own preferred statistics that I gather base on their interest with bitcoin. And that made me eager to let them understand how do bitcoin really works since here in my country there's a rival against bitcoin's good and bad purpose that is being covered by the medias and the dominance of articles are all about bitcoin is being a scam and other things that make it's reputation bad. I didn't encouraged them to invest, I let them chose their own path according to their will.
12870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin loses all its value what will happen to altcoins ? on: December 11, 2017, 09:02:39 AM
Do you think altcoins can survive without bitcoin leading the way ?
Some will survive but not all of them will. Those altcoins that has great community and valuable asset to the crypto world are the ones that will survive even without bitcoin. The ones that has real use or those coins that are valuable to a company and mostly relying their services there. But majority of them are riding and relying to bitcoin's lead.

will the bitcoiners that lose faith go into altcoins or will they
just cash out and take profits ?

Majority will just hold their bitcoins whatever sequence or scenarios will take place.
12871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook & Google creating its own Cryptocurrency! on: December 11, 2017, 08:21:11 AM
Your thoughts on Facebook and Google creating its own Cryptocurrency. I know BTC is the pioneer in cryptocurrencies and currently has the highest value but if this two giant companies will release their own cryptocurrencies I don't think anyone would want miss that. Its not impossible right? Similarly Other companies like twitter & Youtube and even UBER can also dig into cryptocurrencies. If major companies can consider BTC as their main cryptocurrency, BTC value will definitely skyrocket.
We don't want to miss that but if they are really for crypto's they'll probably adopt the technology of blockchain itself. When they started to make their own crypto's, they have freedom for doing it so but don't expect that it will be the major currency of all since they have made it for their own service still people will stay to bitcoin which is the most used crypto of all. Many companies did and even countries did this of making their own cryptocurrency but where are they now? They only add another bunch of altcoins.
12872  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now back on 14k after the big pump(upto 17k)!??? on: December 11, 2017, 07:30:29 AM
Is this something normal?
That's very normal, a newbie doesn't need to think about such events like this. As others stated that when we see bitcoin's price starts to make it's own positive move, there will be a negative effect after a couple of days/week.

Will BTC rise up again?
It has been up again, if you'll try to check the price of bitcoin again now it hit $16,020 again. So your worries needed to be gone for awhile now and you should start selling if you are still worrying this way.
12873  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT TRADING ROBOTS? on: December 11, 2017, 06:39:20 AM
Would you like to have a robot that works with cryptocurrencies?
There are bots that are managing your portfolio for specific exchanges that you want to trade, there are popular bots here in forum like gunbot, cat and leonardo.

Which are the advantages and disadvantages of robots that you have used?
This is a sample of disadvantage and advantage review for gunbot
https://www.thehedgecoingroup.com/single-post/2017/09/30/Gunbot-Review

Thanks for your answer, this information has been very useful!
Your welcome but still if you want to be successful in trading whether you'll use bot or not don't forget that trading manually exists. Each trader here started their career with trading through manual and this is what I prefer though there are some people who are also good with using bots but it's all of your choice.

They are very annoying and should be forbidden, best way to slow down a very good project because of stupids people too greedy and lazy
It's annoying if you don't know how to use it properly, actually they are useful and very convenient once you used to it.
12874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious topic: how can we be sure Bitcoin will not be banned by most countries? on: December 10, 2017, 11:46:39 PM
You should worry if bitcoin will be ban to your country but if you are out of the geographical location of those countries that started to ban then it's not your problem. Don't put yourself in too much stress and basically if there's a new country that will start to ban bitcoin, their citizens will be informed first so they can disseminate their bitcoin and start to sell it for their profit. Bans are possible but with these current trend of technology, they might even consider it.
12875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The origin of HODL. on: December 10, 2017, 11:33:13 PM
Don't forget about the legendary origin of HODL!  Grin I thought before when I was new in bitcoin this is just a misconception and just intentionally misspelling the term HOLD. But upon knowing this, well it is really an epic thing. At least gamekyuubi contributed something big to the history and entire cryptocurrency, this is not only applicable to bitcoin but also to alts. This will never be forgotten. gamekyuubi, you're a real legend man.

12877  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we see bitcoin price 20k by jaunary 1st 2018 on: December 10, 2017, 11:05:53 PM
I think we will see a price in excess of 20k on January 1st, I think somewhere around 22k will be the price, but it could be as low as 10k or as high as 30k given how bitcoin has been the last days, truly it is unpredictable and wild right now.
$20,000 at the end of January 1st of 2018 is possible. Price is truly unpredictable but we can just keep on predicting what's going to be the good price for bitcoin soon.

I think price will be $19.000

There's a good chance for bitcoin to hit $19,000.
As the above mate described, we can just make predictions. We cannot give accurate information about the growth of bitcoin by the 1st of January 2018. We have got increased chance of reaching the same as the price has gone down and by the next pumping it might take it to reach $20000 or even higher.

And the price starts to get lower now, hitting $14,000 tonight and there will be more of it I guess. Others are worried about bitcoin futures but I know there are big people who are waiting for a fueled momentum to start buy backing. Be aware of that moment guys if you want to ride another bull run, you had to start buying today. McAfee started to tweet about we don't have to worry about bitcoin futures https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/939919419387596802
12878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin.com CEO Says Futures Will Drive Up Bitcoin Price on: December 10, 2017, 10:52:30 PM
You look to be the most active in making these such threads about bitcoin. I hope that futures will give bitcoin a very positive price movement since many are also worried about it since whales will do something to make the price go down which can be beneficial with their futures investment. But still everyone here is hoping to make a better investment with futures as well and it will give bitcoin a positive result.

But i think if once the bitcoin starts to trade in futures then fiat currency holders can also play in bitcoin and it will make the price move more high only. As you said most of them are worried that the whales will drive the price down and same sentiment they will take as positive for them and they will buy on each dip.

That's what I'm thinking, while they are with futures of course they'll do something to follow the bitcoin market. But if this futures will be driven down by another whales that wanted to take over bitcoin market and starts their very own market, we're all done but I doubt that this will happen since bitcoin has been with many challenges before and this futures is just a basic peanuts that will also add another value for it.
12879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: December 10, 2017, 10:39:44 PM
High fess may be a haul as a result of folks aren't attending to build little transactions with bitcoins due to fess. It will limit bitcoin to merely larger transections.
It may result for that but most of the transactors know what to do. Everyone will just let this pass and wait for the fees to get down. The fees now are really high and though the fees are high people are still transacting with bitcoin because it's the most popular coin and it will make transactions lower because of it.
what was really the thing that affect about the fee of bitcoin is the price of it why they can take the lower fee if the rice of bitcoin is very high of course they can make an higher fee on it.
No, not that really the price since there are few times that I transacted with the ATH but the fee isn't too high it goes around $0.05 - $0.6 I guess, I can't remember the exact amount. But that does matter too, when before 0.0001 BTC fee is very cheap and now if we will convert it with the current price of bitcoin that will make it not cheap anymore. Before it was like a cents to us but not anymore.
12880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins in 2018? on: December 10, 2017, 10:29:20 PM
What do u think bitcoin will countinue this insane grow in 2018, its worth to hold my altcoins?
Bitcoin is the king of crypto's so that makes sense that it's growth will be continuous, what are the altcoins you are holding then? If those are the coins that has the potential then just hold it until it starts making it's pump.

I am very disappointed, i started crypto 4 month ago, and my portfolio now worth the 1/3 value in bitcoin as when i started this..

Don't be disappointed, experience is the best teacher there is still a long run for the market of crypto's and what you need to do is just keep on working yourself base on what's happening. Studying about technical analysis and being familiar with the market.

2018 will be the year of altcoins, or bitcoin get an absolute dominance?
Bitcoin still.  Grin
