Add an indicator/icon (and a filter) that shows whether a service has access to your private-keys/store your keys online or not.

E.g: Only you have access to your keys with Electrum, while you don't have access to anything with Coinbase and your encrypted keys are stored online with Blockchain.info;

Hello, is the wirex service back again? Can i purchase a virutal credit card with bitcoin, i had an account before but then the wirex was closed.
I'm getting a 'HTTP ERROR 403' when I try to visit their blog, but I have found some news about them.

Those are the supported countries so far:

12926  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2017 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: March 31, 2018, 03:27:20 PM
you people are spoiled. you can still get coinbase shift and bitpay cards. bitpay may have questionable loyalties to bcash, but they work fine.

both of them are visa cards so they'll work wherever any other visa card which is pretty much everywhere.
And for the people living outside the EU and USA? I haven't been folowing the news, so what happened after the whole WaveCrest + Visa breakdown on cryptocurrencies cards? Did anyone find a new provider?
12927  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Gdax/Gemini 2FA and Verification on: March 31, 2018, 02:05:26 PM
Anyone?  Do you need to have your cell phone everytime you log in gemini?
Yes. That's the point of using 2FA.

Try to use Authy, which is an OTP 2FA. Everytime you want to log in, you will open the Authy app in your phone and get the code which changes every 30 seconds. While with SMS, you will obviously get a sms to your number with the code.

Using a SMS based 2FA is way more insecure because people can "hijack" your number - like in this case[1] - and get your 2FA messages. While with Authy, only you can get the codes.

12928  Other / Meta / Re: [NEW FEATURE] Live Chat for users on: March 31, 2018, 01:26:40 PM
I don't think theymos would have time to implement something like this that it's not "important" and which discussion did not lead to anything.

Btw, I believe the "New forum software" board is related to the new forum software that is being developed (epochtalk), so your links are useless. If you want theymos to implement this live chat in the current forum (SMF), this should be in the "Meta" board. The epochtalk dev would probably need to code the live chat from the scratch.

Go to your Draft page, find the post you're looking for, then just copy and paste as a new post.

Why would anyone use your site instead of Nexchange? Your site has exactly the same rates, same design and same functionalities but you can't really be trusted.

Your website is literally a Nexchange mirror. So what are the advantages?

1 sat/byte is enough for a relatively quick confirmation (3~5 blocks).

Just take a look at how empty the mempool: https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,24h

Edit: tried the ViaBTC's accelerator and it got confirmed as I was writing this post.

Any BTC airdrop between january 12, and march 29?  Smiley
See for yourself: https://bitcoinforks.io/

P.s: Don't expect many of them to have some value. Almost all of them (if not all) are just shitforks which will be worth cents at most.
P.s-2: Don't blindly download a fork wallet and import your paper wallet to spend the fork coins. I'm pretty sure some forks are just baits made to steal people's wallets.

Here:
Bitcoin hit a record high of $19,783.21 in December before plunging, but still rallied by over 1,300 percent in 2017.
The fall in bitcoin's supremacy is due to the rise of other cryptocurrencies such as ethereum and ripple. still being first ever digital currency BTC dominates 45% market capital today.

Bitcoin hit a record high of $19,783.21 in December 2017 before plunging, but still rallied by over 1,300 percent in 2017. the best price BTC could ever get.

There has never been a successful attack on the Bitcoin blockchain that resulted in stolen Bitcoins. However, many central systems that use Bitcoin have been hacked. And wallets and Bitcoin exchanges are often hacked due to inadequate security. The Bitcoin community has fought back by developing elegant solutions to keep their coins safe, including wallet encryption, multiple signatures, offline wallets, paper wallets, and hardware wallets, just to name a few.

Here:
Bitcoin is the opposite of a pyramid scheme from the point of view of Bitcoin miners. The Bitcoin protocol is designed like a cannibalistic arms race. Every additional miner prompts the protocol to increase the difficulty of mining. From a social point of view, Bitcoin is a pure market. The price of Bitcoins fluctuates based on market supply, demand, and perceived value.

And here:
Because of the semi-anonymous nature of Bitcoin, it’s used in ransomware attacks. Hackers breach networks and hold them hostage until payment is made to them. Hospitals and schools have been victims of these types of attacks. However, unlike cash, which was favored by thieves in the past, Bitcoin always leaves a trail in the blockchain that investigators can follow.

-snip-
This doesn't work for addresses label. Only for transactions in the History tab.

Tried myself right after OP made the post.

Edit: Ok... it just worked after I updated my Electrum to the version 3.1.2, but now every one of my tx's has the label "test" and they can't be removed.
12935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Creating Seeds from private key on: March 29, 2018, 02:27:35 PM
i have used  electrum wallet, but only bc1 wallet are being generated , i did not found a way to make it generate a 3xx wallet.
That's easy. Just follow this instructions:

As a wallet, use Electrum with a Segwit address for lower fees. For now, I recommend to use a nested P2SH Segwit address instead of the bech32 format created by Electrum. So that's what you should do:

1. Go to iancoleman's BIP39 seed generator[1] (optional - download the source code and run offline for better security);
2. Select 12 words and generate a new seed;
3. SAVE THIS SEED AND DON'T LOSE IT! You can't see it again in Electrum and without the seed you can't restore your wallet in the future;
4. Download Electrum[2];
5. While creating the wallet, select: Standard Wallet -> I already have a seed -> Paste the seed from step 2.
6. Click Options -> check "BIP39 seed" -> Next.
7. In the Derivation part, paste m/49'/0'/0'/0 and click next.
8. Now you have an Segwit wallet with addresses starting with 3.

Just don't forget that when you want to restore your wallet into Electrum, you need to select "BIP39 seed" and use the derivation part m/49'/0'/0'/0

[...] Chipmixer has a minimum requirement of 50 posts a week but we don't see any spam coming from their campaign.
You mean a maximum of 50 posts, right? ChipMixer's signature campaign doesn't actually require a minimum of posts per week.

I actually can't manage to hit 50 posts anymore due to how busy I am Tongue
12937  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Incomplete send from Electrum to BitPay card on: March 29, 2018, 02:24:06 AM
From Electrum's Release Note page:

Local transactions: Transactions can be saved in the wallet without
   being broadcast. The inputs of local transactions are considered as
   spent, and their change outputs can be re-used in subsequent
   transactions. This can be combined with cold storage, in order to
   create several transactions before broadcasting them. Outgoing
   transactions that have been removed from the memory pool are also
   saved in the wallet, and can be broadcast again.

That's probably what you got. Try to: Right click the transaction -> Details -> Broadcast.

Looks like a lot of resources are not getting loaded (i.e the background img); Have you tried with a different browser?

What do you get when you remove the latest part of the url (index.html) and add images/diamonds.png ?

E.g:

12939  Other / New forum software / Re: Requesting Night Mode. on: March 29, 2018, 02:05:23 AM
I'd see if adjusting brightness and contrast levels on your display and installing f.lux does any good for your eye strain.
+1

f.lux is a life-changing software and I can't imagine myself browsing the web at night without it.

P.s: there are other ways to make BTT "night mode" (still requires a browser extension).

12940  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet issue on: March 29, 2018, 02:00:49 AM
Didn't you save your wallet seed after creating it? You can just create the same wallet file by restoring your seed.

Standard Wallet -> I already have a seed -> Write your seed-> Next.

If you didn't, you should do it immediately when you manage to recover/find your wallet file.
