12921  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Your thoughts on Xapo Wallet on: October 18, 2017, 07:08:08 PM
I don't know much about it, but I think blockchain is still the best
You still don't say that to blockchain.info since it is a web wallet and I don't mostly depend all of my bitcoins on web wallets. Still it's better for you to have a desktop wallet, xapo and blockchain.info wallets are good but don't try to put most of your bitcoins there as it is risky.

You don't have control of your private keys. Move to a hardware wallet if you can

Yes this is the risk that I'm telling, so if something did ever happened to your web wallet or to xapo and their bitcoins were stolen, sadly you can't recover it anymore.
12922  Economy / Speculation / Re: I do not have the guts to buy bitcoins now. on: October 18, 2017, 06:52:24 PM
I do not even have the courage to buy Bitcoin. Although I believe Bitcoin a lot. Many of my friends have made a lot of money by investing in Bitcoin. So I am thinking that I will buy Bitcoin in the future. As Bitcoin too Rising to 5000+ USD   Grin

WHAT DO YOU THINK ?  Roll Eyes

Why you will buy bitcoin in the future? You are a believer and you know that the price can go up higher in the future so don't wait for that day before buying. It's good to buy now and the price went down today and it's better if you did bought some of it but today it's starting to increase again. And that's why if I were you I will take the courage and will not be scared of buying bitcoin today (I don't only have the budget today). It will be useless if you are a bitcoin believer and you don't want to buy.
12923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi controlling 500'000 BTC on: October 18, 2017, 06:41:11 PM
It's a problem when there will be a certain group that controls totally a lot of bitcoin because they can just simply manipulate the market. But having 500,000 BTC I don't know if he/they are totally holding that much of bitcoin because if I were the one to have those bitcoins I'm going to be freaking crazy and will just watch the price of bitcoin increase and later on will just sell maybe 1% of it just for having fun. It's a problem because they have the advantage of it and while us, small time traders will just go with the flow.
12924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: please help me!!! wong sent ETC to ETH wallet on: October 18, 2017, 06:16:20 PM
I sent 5 ETH Sad(

That's a lot and you should be careful next time with your ETH and before sending try to check if that's the right format and ETH address. There's no other way to get it again, contact bittrex support or management they are the one that can help you.

I never tried this one but you can see it for yourself and look if that's going to be an effective one. Try to contact them first and if they will ignore your request or will say that they can't help you with it, this will be your last resort.
12925  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Convert Bitcoins for Ppal on: October 18, 2017, 06:06:27 PM
Answer please, ever you guys had experience with www.x-crypto.com giving BTC and obtain money via Paypal bill? This site offers perfect rate: $7427 for 1 bitcoin What if community trust this exchange job?

Too good to be true that $7,427 is not for real I have never use them and will not going to take a try to use them. Depend on the reliable exchange's rate or with preev.com as most of them are close to that rate. Don't believe with those sites that are offering very high price of bitcoin, if they want to be out of the business real quick they will do that. But they are just attracting deposits so that people will put their bitcoins their and once they've got it possible that they will runaway.
12926  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase wallet on: October 18, 2017, 05:13:28 PM
If you have no choice but Coinbase then you can use Coinbase to store your Bitcoins and Ethereum but make sure that you also activate 2FA as an added protection against hackers. Nothing is safe nowadays, if one is determined to hack their way into your wallet regardless if you have 2FA   they can hack their way in and steal your Bitcoins. So better do all the necessary precaution to keep your wallet safe.

For those people only that doesn't have choice. But for me it's only good when you will sell your bitcoin but using them as a storage of bitcoin and Ethereum it's not a good choice. There are better ways and wallets for keeping our bitcoin and coinbase is not the top choice. They are a good wallet but still they are prone to any attacks and we know that exchanges are being targeted by hackers so if you'll use them, make sure that you'll not put big amount of bitcoin there.

12927  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price drop? on: October 18, 2017, 03:55:25 PM
Is there any reason why the btc price is dropping that much today?

It's a simple move that the whales are doing, they are getting their profit altogether so that made the price lower because the supply of bitcoin is starting to have a lot again in the circulation. This will probably the last dip for this month as we are new to the hard fork of bitcoin gold.

Are people scared by the hard fork or why is it dropping?

No, they are not scared by the hard fork. It's just trading and profiting out of the peak of bitcoin's price and you have to expect this in the future that when the price of bitcoin is pumping, there will be profit takers that will sell their bitcoins.
12928  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Medicine and cryptocurrency on: October 17, 2017, 05:01:00 PM
Give me your opinion about… Can the blockchain be applicable for the medical sector? Explain your pros and cons please. Thank you.

Yes it can be use for the medical sector when it comes to the recording purposes. There's a lot of companies that are starting to adopt blockchain like the banking sector and in medical sector it's just the same when it comes to keeping your records you can apply blockchain technology with it. And every information which is needed for viewing can be seen immediately if someone wants to have an access about ones history or information.
12929  Economy / Speculation / Re: $6000 comming through on: October 17, 2017, 04:46:49 PM
There will be a great dump after hard fork.

Did you that coming? And how great do you call that dump coming? I'm optimistic and I don't think there will be a great dump after the hard fork as base on what happened last hard fork the price surged so this is not going to happen. And also there will be another hard fork that everyone should be prepared of. This means that the price will continue to rise and it's not going to happen about that "great" dump.
12930  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Sites to earn bitcoins ? on: October 17, 2017, 03:23:53 PM
the forum (bitcointalk.org) is such kind of forum that you are looking for.
yes but you need to have effort if you want to be a profitable here in forum and also knowledge how to earn in different ways cause there's a lot of opportunities here in forum such as selling services or skills and joining in any activities like campaign such as bounty etc. The must is knowledge about currency or any stuff that related in bitcoin if you dont have it then must learn first .best regards

It's not actually a big effort so that will be fine when you are trying to earn some small fractions of bitcoin there. And it's not that hard to answer some sort of surveys so that you'll get paid. I once tried to earn with surveys but I can't remember if they are paying bitcoin today and I also forget those websites where you can have some proper amount of bitcoin. And as always this forum is the best site to earn some btc.
12931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Being Manipulated on: October 17, 2017, 12:41:43 PM
Hello y'all, I recently noticed something about Bitcoin, it seems that the countries that have more users of the crypto are manipulating the currency behind the scene. Forget the issue of it being demand and supply. Take a look at when China brought up a regulation on bitcoin in the country, the price of bitcoin dropped rapidly, so that the rich elites can buy much of the currency during that period since the price is now lower.

This is what am guessing though and I shouldn't be criticised since we're in a free world in which nothing is free. Grin Grin Grin

You are thinking exactly the same as what I think but it's not just about them. The real thing about it is the one that you are trying to forget the issue of it's supply and demand. But who really knows if there is a sabotage in the market of bitcoin as it's a normal thing into something that is really profitable. Even in different business sectors there is a manipulation that's happening like in electricity, banking, retailing and other industries.
12932  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to redeem BitcoinGold after upcoming Bitcoin Fork on: October 17, 2017, 12:17:32 PM
I'm also waiting on how to redeem those bitcoin gold that I can get but as of now I don't have any updates on how to redeem it. I'm waiting for theymos to post it on the news section about this thing and that can be found above the forum tab under our avatar. I also keep on reading on their website http://btcgpu.org/ you can try to read the FAQ section at the bottom of it but there's no clear tutorial on how we can claim it but there are certain wallets that are indicated there including electrum.
12933  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature Campaign and Reward on: October 17, 2017, 11:57:34 AM
Yes I can see some people joined before in a signature campaign that can earn more than 1 btc like 1-2 months of joining I just remember some participants from  PPT(populous) Signature campaign earned almost 3 btc worth ppt tokens.

Wow I never have a chance to join that signature campaign, are you one of those participants there? And how many it was able to give you upon selling their tokens? That's actually a lot compare to the price now but may I know on what's the current rate way back then when Populous is starting to advertise through signature campaign? It's possible that there's a lot of people that earned 1 bitcoin through signature campaign but it will take a lot of time.
12934  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or blockchain? on: October 17, 2017, 11:38:16 AM
do they have slack or telegram?
I don't think so they do have this, if you want to contact the support of them just simply contact them by means of their email support and chat support like in xapo. I used to contact the support of blockchain.info when I experienced some troubles regarding my balance so they tried to help me out by giving some points and tutorials.

I've been using blockchain ever since and I've never had any problems whatsoever. Enable 2FA and you should be good, don't know about xapo but you can set the fee as you wish. Also, wallet is safe as much as you pay attention to security.

I'm not enabling the 2FA of my blockchain.info accout but with xapo I like their mobile authenticator for the code and now I don't use them anymore, I hate higher fees.
12935  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I want to start cloud mining on: October 17, 2017, 11:22:24 AM
Try eobot. If they still offer cloudmining register, go to account, click on the left to ghs, then go to products and faucet. Then you can see, how that would work. But you don't come far with "free mining". If a service is legit (only know one or two), they have to pay hardware, maintance, electricity costs, staff, taxes .....so they cant give out  much mining power for free.

That is all scripted. EObot is a cloud mining ponzi scam for sure in my opinion.

DO NOT INVEST IN THAT SITE!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=551009.0

Even Bitcointalk staff is calling it a scam.

Either you get scammed later down the road, or you never make a profit, since their contracts decrease in revenue after X days. It is very shady to say the least.

I'll believe on -ck about eobot and even there will be some people here that will say that it is a trusted one I'm just going to ignore it and instead I'll help to fight against these scammers.

I have been trying to get into cloud mining but don't particular want to put money into it. Can anyone recommend a good site to start cloud mining sites for free? Any that aren't scams or don't work. I'd be grateful to know of a good functioning site for cloud mining.

Stop trying, there are some other place where you can invest your money. And you are asking for free? Well it's too good to be true, you can't find a cloud mining that will let you invest nothing on them and in any investment there's no free.
12936  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is more profitable: a gambling site or a dating site? on: October 16, 2017, 10:53:38 PM
The site with gambling will be more profitable. Since it will be easier to promote it with any shares. A dating site requires a lot of people. This is my position

A gambling site requires a lot of gamblers too in able for the owner to benefit and get some good profit. But if you just still building your very own gambling site in the first phase of your plan you shouldn't gathering a lot of gamblers first. Testing the game itself by those legit gamblers is an important thing and guess what if there are gamblers who are satisfied with your site, they are the one to call out their squads and play with your business.
only the player who receives a constant winnings from his Bets can be satisfied. Otherwise, What will be the satisfaction of gambling.

And not all the time there will be a lot of gamblers / players who will have a constant winning. Gambling site is a good investment and business if you'll just know how to run it properly but you really have to accept the fact that there's a lot of it already so just like what I believe in Jack Ma's words, "Don't try to be the best, be the first." And that's why even you want to give satisfaction to the gambler but what if the number of gamblers you've got aren't enough to sustain your operation.
12937  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Online wallet on: October 16, 2017, 10:29:32 PM
Best online wallet for me is also blockchain.info, clear interface, low transactions costs.

Before I'm not using them when I was quite new to bitcoin because I keep on following a lot of suggestions that are just leading me to coinbase which I really don't like. But upon gaining some knowledge about bitcoin I found it out that it has the blockchain technology and I thought it that blockchain.info is the one that runs the whole network so I did created my wallet and in the end I'm satisfied with my experience there and up until now I have my account there.

Too bad they only support bitcoin and ethereum, would be nice if they would support other coins such as litecoin.

It's not even bad because they adopted ethereum recently.
12938  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to get started on escrowing? on: October 16, 2017, 10:11:35 PM
Become at least a hero member here which means you successfully spent around 480 days on the forum.

Yes it will give others an assurance because he's a hero member but still it is not the total basis of becoming an escrow. I agree with Darkstar, get the trust normally and you'll gain the trust of the community. Most of the escrow too came from aspiring escrow up until they've made and gain the trust of the community and was able to make a lot of trades here in the forum.

Yeah, i thought so. The problem is that if you need people to trust you in order to gain trust, how can you make the first deal (i don't know if the point is quite clear here).
I'll remind you that don't ever try to buy trust or do trust farming, it's not the right way. Just deal the usual way as if you need some funds or you want to sell stuffs to other people just like a normal business.

Well, I happen to find the position of the escrow as something really interesting in the whole people work with bitcoin, and it seems like something, i don't know... enjoyable? I feel it has similarities like being a moderator in forums, doing it just because even if no one tells you to do so, it is quite of a crutial part of the whole system

It's interesting but it's the most important person in a deal, you have a big responsibility to make every deal successful. And if something goes wrong, you have to be fair of the both sides to make them both satisfied. But there's a lot of people already who are already offering escrow service and I guess that's enough to help every transactors with their deal.

Well, thanks for the advice, this is mainly why I created the thread: to know how things are at the moment, and to make a kind of a "future plan".

PS: trust farming is like the most stupid thing I've ever heard, I mean, paying unneccesary interests for a green number?
Your welcome and I'm glad that you've extracted what I said. And when it comes to trust farming, it's happening here in forum especially for those people that are trying to do  something fishy and it's on their plan. I just knew it when I keep on checking some negative trust people whenever I see on a thread that I posted and it's for real. Yes, they are paying for it and it tends that they are not actually for it but if you'll try to analyze their purpose it goes there.
12939  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Help what happened to my btc on: October 16, 2017, 09:47:19 PM
I had btc on my ledger nano s wallet recently checked it now it is bcc please help
It probably shows the BCH balance you've got but do remember this that it is 1:1 ratio for Bitcoin : Bitcoin cash. And how many bitcoin cash are showing in your ledger nano s wallet? If you see there is x amount that will be also your bitcoin balance.

What does that mean?

It means that he got the split coin that happened last August and he got it automatically upon checking his ledger nano s wallet.
