If you want a good USD ROI you can wait for 1 year or 2 by now and buy the dip. After $1200 USD pike on november 2013 bitoin fall to $200USD some years later... So why not again ?

You may not be able to buy a full Bitcoin, but you can still buy a portion of Bitcoin. If you invest $1000 for BTC0.2, your investment can still grow. You don't have to buy the full bitcoin since it is broken up into 100,000,000 sub units called Satoshi.

What Jonashe says is reasonable, but remember that past results do not guarantee future results. There may not be another dip again. I'd buy now if you haven't already.

Why don't you have the courage to buy it if you believe in it? I'd say go for it. Maybe wait for a correction until Bitcoin go below $5K, but it won't make many differences if you're not buying in large amount. I believe Bitcoin has the potential to reach $10,000 in the following years (likely next year). Shouldn't be too hard under current circumstances.

I don't think that price of Bitcoin is more than $5K at this moment but still, I think in Bitcoin deserves $10K to $20K in next 2 to 3 years considering user base, world's perception and growth rate.

However, $5K is not a bad deal if the investor is willing to hodl it for the long term. Here is the message from the past who think that Bitcoin is expensive.

If you are looking to hold for long period; you can buy without any issue because the price will increase again sooner or later and will make this way some profit.

Waiting and wasting time on Bitcoin to raise its price in order to join will be a bad idea maybe (my opinion)

It's the best decision for you mate to NOT buy bitcoin on this price! However if you have some bitcoin to spare , put them into a good good ICO. Also the 5k$/bitcoin mark is too damn high , a correction will occure soon because we are in an up trend for almost a year now.

Just keep watching the price of bitcoin. When it goes down, try to buy the coins. Anyways I don't think the price will go down so much. Just wait for a week. Hopefully you may see a dip in the price of bitcoin just one week before the hardfork. That's the right time to buy coins in my opinion. But don't expect a big decrease in its price . I think it may touch 4800 or 4500 dollars by the end of October, just before the fork.

That's completely understandable, you don't have to buy a full Bitcoin or invest all your money right now that Bitcoin's price is in an all time high. What you can do instead though, is to start accumulating and getting the feel of it, invest just a portion of your money even a little and start accumulating and seeing how the price fluctuates during the days, that way when a dip or correction happens you can be ready and invest the rest of the money you planned on investing in the first place.

I see that you are a a Sr. Member so I guess you at least have some experience in the past with Bitcoin. Just be patient and start accumulating in small amounts to understand how the market reacts to time, this is not an all in or nothing situation, you can take gradual steps that'll lead you to be a smarter investor.

Buying bitcoin, as investing in general is not a matter of guts. Good investment consists in a diversified portfolio, formed by some of the following: cash, bonds of bond funds, stocks or stock funds, metals, participations in businesses and cryptos.

If you have a portfolio like that, it’s not a matter of having guts, it’s a matter of having a clear plan and make rational decisions on what is going to be your next investment move and how big it is going to be.

I suppose you are thinking of trading and not going for a loooong term investment.

What year will you buy in then? in future bitcoin value won't be same as it is today, it'll be worth even more. in two years the price of bitcoins might go $10k+. you'll be then regretting not buying when price was $5k, buy and hold like many of us do. buy only small bits(keep on buying like that lol), if you can't afford whole bitcoin.

The price started to go down a little bit, It's a good opportunity to buy and even If it goes down afterwards, It wouldn't matter much as you will have the hardforks coins to sell and gain what you lost from the price decrease to buy even more BTC.
