I take mec  Cheesy

how much you want, i'll buy them on the off chance that either

A) i take over the coin and it becomes a successful, solid coin.

B) vladvlad apologizes, grows a thick skin and repairs his public image allowing the coin to have a future.

You can have half this coin for free cause you, like shake, are a decent man.

For your sake so you can have success with this coin I will apologize to everyone.

Even I got spots.

But you pay me nothing for the 50%.  It's a gift but we are equal partners.  If not then ill hire a programmer and give him half and I'll go from there.
12982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 07:22:34 AM
LMAO he still has no idea what that means.  And for the love of god.  You wanted people to buy into your coin.  But at the same time your constantly saying you want it to be attacked and killed.  Looks like you got what you were asking for, even with it being a Scrypt coin.  Better luck next time.

And what is wrong with wanting your coin to be killed if the community sees it as shit?

That was my wish because it was the ultimate test of what you put out.

I don't see why that's bad or odd.  Obviously the people have spoken and this coin is now dog shit because it was attached and successfully so.

if you really want to kill the coin, give shake the word. i'll take it over gladly, been looking for a side project, and i like the diff retarget ideas you have in place.

No, I don't want to kill the coin.

I want the market to do it if they think its a bad coin.  That's what I mean.

I want the coin to live c

The retarget protocol is great Cause I used numbers from the bible.   Sounds crazy but all the numbers from the speed, to the coins, the retarget, the golden blocks - very single number is a Biblical number.

That's why I was curious to see how it would function in the real world.  I expected it to be good and I'm glad to see it is.

But no, I will not purposely kill the coin myself.  That's crazy.  I simply invite people who wish to kill it to do so because I believe destiny is somewhat intertwined and if its meant to die then it will which is why it doesn't bother me.  But me, myself, I want this coin to live and thrive.  But for that I admit I need help cause I can't progrsm.

If you like this coin so much i will freely give you 50% control of all of it - all the benefits - but you need to know how to program pretty well.
12983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 07:09:48 AM
ok vlad, this is your last chance to quit shit talking. we got the diff back down on block 134 now(thanks to shake for having the forsight to code this thing right for you). if you will just stop shit talking everyone who's trying to help you your coin might survive. no one is trying to steal your coin. you told shake you were bailing and he asked me to take over if you didn't reconsider. lighten up man shit

I said no such think to shake.  I said I'm sick of these guys I'm taking a break cause its making me sick.

And there are a handful of asshole like igotsspots who is a mutant troll.  I'll talk shit all dau to assholes like that. Fuck those guys, they caused a lot of problems for this coin cause they're jealous shit bags.

Like I said from day one - if a coin is attacked and dies it deserves it and I don't care.  All I can do is my best and given what I know and my budget I did my best.

I asked everyone what else they want as features but nothing, they're mute.

I asked shake to give me more I had more ideas and he said I was too ambitious and I needed to find a more experienced programmer.  So it wasn't all my fault.  I had little to work with.

I even offered shake more money but he declined.  The guy has integrity.

If I had a couple programmers this coin would have kicked ass.

So here's my offer.  If this coin survives or if you guys want a new one -  I have good ideas cause I don't think like a programmer - who wants to work with me.  Just 2 max 3 programmers but you need to know your stuff.

I'll take the smallest cut - you guys can have the lions share but I want (badly) to get a great coin out there.  It's possible - the coins out there are dog shit and you guys know it yet those devs walk around like they did something great, it's all shit.  It can be so much better.  If anyone is good as coding and you wanna do something great let me know.

Has anybody hit the golden block yet, I've been excited to see how that happens this entire time.

its basically impossible. someone 51%'d your coin and shot the diff through the roof. the odds of hitting the superblock anyway are something like 1 in 2million, and it can only happen on block 248 or 249.

I made the golden block to be hit every 2 hours although at random times.  It was nowhere between 1 and 2 million odds.  That would have been stupid.  It's been 2 hours, someone should have hit it already if someone was mining all this time unless it wasn't coded right.

You might want to read some of the posts on the previous page  Cheesy

I rather not.  I literally got sick to my stomach from all the jealousy and hate.  My big mistake was listening to anyone.  I paid for this coin I should have done it the way I liked it.  But I genuinely wanted to give something back to the miners not realizing what a congress of baboons they are.

And my biggest mistake was to launch a coin with no experience.  But all my friends as doctors, engineers or bums.  No programmers.  The coins launched so far are Mickey Mouse - so much better can Boone but people only care about making a quick buck.  I genuinely wanted a real coin for the long term where the payout would have come Down the line.

This can help

devtome.com/doku.php?id=scrypt_altcoin_cloning_guide&#how_to_clone_scrypt_based_altcoins_for_fun_and_profit

That's not gonna help me.  I know nothing about programming.  But thanks.

I need to team up with someone who thinks like me but know how to progrsm but I know no such person.

Dead?  We'll see about that.

But if it's meant to die so be it.  I pushed and pushed for SHA256 but once again I let the same clown who now mock me to convince me to go scrypt.

I don't mind of it dies if that's what the community wants but as sure as hell ant gonna let anyone just steal my work.

So did anyone hit the golden block?  How was the network?  I was expecting som oscillation (with the 21 block average retarget) but only enough to make it interesting.  Did that happen?

I go to put my kids to bed and you guys steal what I worked on for a week?

Think again.

This is my coin and just because I go take a piss doesn't give you guys the right to steal someone else's work.

What classless people are on these boards.

All the premines, even my .5% is going to anyone who wants to help out.

If it weren't for the bitching from guys like iGot spots we'd have 5% to work with.

At any rate, I chose all the paramters, the programmer just coded them so if the code is nice and stable all the thank yous can go to my inbox.

Those who hate this coin attack it, that's why I wanted SHA256 in the first place.

Those who like it, line up and let's put together some bounties and do this right.  My .5% or roughly 2.2 million coins is out there for bounties already plus the other half so over 4 million coins.

We can do some good stuff with that many coins.  Wish there were more but its not a and start.
12991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 03:23:01 AM
Lol, almost an hour and still only 1/3 of the way to the blocks that give any rewards. This is going really well for you, huh, Vlad

Yeah, asshole, i don't have a single coin from all the work and money I put in this coin. And when I do get my .5% premine I'll be site to publicly shove it up your ass so you can finally stop moaning about it like I got rich or something.  Assholes of the first degree.

I've been on here all day.

Time for me to take a break and spend a little time with my kids you ungrateful jackasses.

Kill this fucking coin - I don't give a fuck.  Nothing but a bunch of Babies.  You all want a great coin but you only know how to bitch.

Fuck you!

I'm out!

34 blocks and 2.24 dif @@

My job here is done

You went all in on this haha you spiked the difficulty so high

650 Kh/s since beginning and 0 blocks

I warned him to make up his mind about the premine. Instead he deceived us with 0% in announcement and then changed it back two posts later and tried to bury it in the thread

You can't blame me, though, I didn't through that much at it...

I didn't burry jack shit.

I clearly stated 1% premine.  Half goes to bounties right away and my .5% will also go.  I don't need to keep a single premine coin of you're all a bunch of asslholes about it.  As soon as I get that .5% pe premine its going to everyone here.  Every coin.  That way asshole haters like you will finally shut the fuck up.
12993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 03:12:37 AM
yeah, sure... a coin for small miners..... i have a radeon hd 6670 ddr3 (about 100khs scrypt mining) on my daily use computer, and still answer myself how i can compite with a 2000khs mining rig??

PS: meanwhile i write this, a diotonic found 21 blocks and i still nothing found..... a coin for small miners? sure!!

Well if it makes you feel better, we both got 0 NUG, even though I'm throwing about 4.9 MH at it.

The first 250 blocks are set to 0 to prevent instamine.   See,  no matter how this is done to e sure fairness you guys just can't be happy nor can you guys see the big picture c
12994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 03:11:07 AM
It appears the relevant "VGB" code is:

Code:
std::string cseed_str = prevHash.ToString().substr(8,7);
const char* cseed = cseed_str.c_str();
long seed = hex2long(cseed);

int rand = generateMTRandom(seed, 100000);

if(rand > 50000 && rand < 50011)
nSubsidy = 10045 * COIN;  //The VGB Protocol Random 250x Block Award

As others have noted, this superblock does nothing to reward small miners, as larger miners have their usual proportionally larger change of mining the superblock.

I see nothing that should interest smaller miners in this coin.

I already addressed this.

That's nonsense.  Small miners have a good chance of twitting the Holden block and its random.  So what if say large miners hit 70% and small miners hit 30%.

That's 30% they never had before c

Before this protocol small miners had ZERO chance.  Now they have say 30% chance and these goldoen blocks are large and yet you guys area till crying.  Without excluding the big miners there is no good way and I will not exclude the big miners cause that's called communism.

This is a clear advantage to the small miner, sorry the small miner couldn't get 90% of the blocks but that's not realistic.

But even in a pool, where the big miners gets the golden blocks faster, the small miner will still get way more coins than the expected 49 coins.  That right there is a gift from the large miner for something the small miner did nothing to deserve.  You guys fail to see the big picture c
12995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 03:07:15 AM
So what does Vlad's Gb do for pools?  Since most small miners mine only on pools.  I guess award a pool the superblock, which would then be funneled down to  award the big miners a lot, and the small miners a tiny fraction.  Lol.  I had so much more hope then a Luckycoin clone.

Everyone on the pool would get more coins than if the golden blocks wouldn't exist.  And the big miners in that pool would help find the golden blocks faster so then the small miner would end up getting that reward faster and more often than if they mined it alone.

Why don't you guys try it just for one day, mine this and compare it to mining any other coin and if its not more fun and more rewarding then ill shut it down.
12996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 03:05:10 AM
Big miners will win the VGB lottery proportionally more than small miners. This doesn't benefit the small miners more. Neither does having a shorter coin generation time with more coins.

Yes, but its all in proportion.

Right now the big miner gets all the coins and the small miner get not even a chance.

With this golden block protocol the small miner will definitely hit some golden blocks.

Show me one coin that gives the small miner even a dream chance to hit it big, to gain an edge.  You want me to exclude the large miner which I won't do.

Watch people when the mine this.  You will see lots of solo miners and small miners hit those golden blocks.

Sorry I could punish the large miners so only the small miners could hit the golden blocks.
12997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Coin Launch: Miner's Coin: Nuggets (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 02:41:06 AM
Vlad, when you keep making changes to an announcement, you really need to go back to the original post, and edit it with these changes.  Also change the tone, or your killing the coin yourself with your attitude.

Your a business man.  Treat this like a BUSINESS.  You don't open the door to your new store, and take out an advertisement saying "Anyone that shops here is a f'in idiot".  A business man of all people (Hell even the anti business geeks get it).  You have to try to sell it.  There are piles of coins launched everyday.  Rehashing your old problems isn't helping anyone.  Believe me we gave your coins a chance by voting against your ideas.  If you really wanted a poll, then you should be happy with the results.  If you had your mind set all along, then don't do any polls.

So back to the beginning.  Go to the announcement first post, click edit, and remove "This is a PoS coin with PoW (It's the other way around just so you know), but it's now a PoW Scrypt coin. Don't mention your wanting it to have been an SHA256 coin, and wtf don't mention you wanted it to be killed?Huh   Get rid of the 0% premine, and change to 1% premine with 0.5% going to bounties ect.  Don't keep advertising that premine.  Let it sweep itself under the covers.  Also in the coin announcement, this is when your supposed to be selling the VGB protocol.  Not sometime after it launches.  If you want the people to buy into your coin, and remember it's your invention, time to sell it, or you might have someone else copying the coin and "selling" VGB as his own, since you didn't actually say its yours.  Your betting everything up as you ace in the hole for launch.  But the coin won't take off for I long time, and anyone who hears of you invention won't pay to create their own copy now when they can get it free possibly tomorrow.

Thanks didn't think of that .

The coin is launched.  To take a look and maybe you wann try mining it to try and hit the Vlad Golden Block!

Good luck.

Ok, here's the official launch of Nuggets.  Let's see how the  VGB protocol reacts when coded within a coin.

Now I can give you guys a breakdown of what VGB is - as it was intended to give the smaller miner an edge, relatively speaking, on a % basis.

It is the concept of (NPV) Net Present Value, used in Accounting and also another Accounting principle called Accelerated Cash-Flows.

I originally wanted a 21 year coin but then I realized the government will not let this thing run that long so why let those millions of coins in the latter half of the period go to waste when they can be brought forward and given away to miners today - to be used now instead of 20 years from now.

But simply tripling the coin count wouldn't make anything new so I needed a way to triple the coin count in a new way to level the field while also making mining fun as right now mining high diff coins is a total flatline experience with little reward and no hope of ever having something spectacular happen all of a sudden.

So I developed a concept called VGB (yes, I absolutely had to put my name on it), it stand for Vlad's Golden Block.

Essentially what I did was brought forward the latter 14 years of coins, some 309,000,000 coins and crammed them in the front end of the term, the first 7 years (hence this is now a 7 year coin) but instead of simply tripling the coins mined I separated and stacked all those coins into 12 daily blocks called Vlad Golden Blocks  where anybody mining, regardless if you're mining solo or how small your rig is - you have the same odds to hit this Golden Block and these blocks run 24/7 for the entire 7 years and to prevent cheating these blocks are randomly won at a period time-frame of every 2 hours so 12 Vlad Golden Blocks will be running and available 24 hours per day.

So then each Golden Block, instead of being worth the normal 49 coins (every 70 seconds) will be worth just over 205 Blocks, hence the name the Vlad Golden Block which means if you hit just one Golden Block you will be instantly rewarded over 10,000 coins, a massive difference from just 49 coins.  That's a huge amount of coins if you're an average or small miner - it would be like literally owning the entire network all to yourself for 4 hours and hitting every single 49 coin block again and again, and if you compare that to the 10 minute block times of Bitcoin, it would be like owning the whole network and hitting every single block for nearly a full day and a half.  That is a lot of power in the hands of any small miner and it can literally push any small miner to the next level.

It's a clear and fair break for everyone but especially for the small miner, this kind of Golden Block hit, over 10,000 coins would be a big deal and on a relative basis, this could help a small miner more quickly upgrade to a much better rig while at the same time these Vlad Golden Blocks don't exclude anyone as big miners have an equal chance of hitting them too although for the big guy 10,000 coins would not make such a big deal as to the small guy, which is why I said this was a fair protocol but would benefit the small guy more.

Here's the info to get started so let's see who gets that first Vlad Golden Block first.

Good luck!

Version 1.0.1 Please update ASAP

Git: https://bitbucket.org/mytwobits/nuggets

Windows GUI Download: https://app.box.com/s/blhmif79kih317yqjm7a

If you need a node use:

addnode=69.85.86.195

RPC PORT = 5587

--------------------------------------------
49 Coins per block, constant over the entire 7 year period

70 second intervals - I wanted a fast coin but not so fast that security would be compromised

Confirmations - 3 ( I believe, this was my request to the programmer but I did not confirm)

difficulty retarget - average of last 21 blocks which should allow for some unpredictability but not too much

12 Vlad Golden Blocks every 24 hours, randomly chosen once inside every 2 hour window  - random probability (lottery system to prevent gaming the coin or insider manipulation) so no gaming the system or pool hopping

Bear with me guys, 3 months ago I didn't know what a bitcoin was and it took me 3 days just to be able to start mining Litecoin while working at it 16 hours per day.  I want this to be the best coin out there and like I said, I already gave away all my .5% of my premined coins to random people.  I'm now paying for bounties out of pocket.

Keep in mind so far I've done 99% of everything the miners have requested even in cases where I really didn't like their decision - and the reason was because I really wanted to make a coin for the miners.  I paid for this and put lots of hours behind it so now it's up to you guys if you want to improve it and make it your own.  I'll be here all day most days to help in any way I can.

Good luck and if nothing else this should be an interesting experiment in a new type of reward system that rewards everyone but helps the little guy the most.

The Gauntlet has been thrown down - now let's go to war and mine this bad-boy!

2,500 NUGs for a stable online wallet
2,000 NUGs for the 2nd p2p Pool
2,000 NUGs for a second Block Explorer

*ALWAYS PM me* with any completed bounty and once verified I will pay you, please don't assume I can read every post as this is one of the busiest threads on this entire forum with over 16,000 views and nearly 2,000 posts in just 11 days.  I genuinely Thank you for all your help and support!

-   BOUNTY for a new coin look, the face of Nuggets (NUGs) - Ultra important aspect!  I will pay (personally) an artist to draw and also combine photoshop for a new old school miners coin look, I Have to pay dollars out of pocket for that as he needs the money and doesn't quite believe in this alt coin thing.  But I'll do my best to convert him.  Lol

-   BOUNTY FOR PhD PROGRAMMER:  I'm also in the process of hiring a PhD forensic computer scientist (Cidel) to help me add more features.  His normal contractor fee for forensic work for large corps or the Feds, CIA, etc., is upwards of $300 per hour but he's a childhood friend of my little brother and he said the most he'll charge me is $20 per hour so I think in 20 hours a lot of code can be written for at least one major feature if not two.  I will also personally pay for this.  He's a busy guy, has a family, goes to school full-time, takes on contract jobs so I don't know if I can make him a real full-Time partner so I am looking for such a guy but I need a real pro.  Someone who can program anything.  Nobody likes hearing their ideas or features are too ambitious.

So hold on to your coins cause I'm not giving up.  And I am working hard to come up with bounty coins since I gave away every premined coin which I wanted to use for bounties to make this coin the best, to put litecoin to crying shame and that's not an empty threat - it's a smoking gun and fully loaded too (Hollywood prop of course) lol.  This coin can be the best and I'm not gonna give up as long as this coin and I are both breathing.  So far so good, even after an 81% attack and many theft attempts, clone copies like "Spots" and even a full-blown hijack and criminal black-mail letter for 20 BTC which of course I didn't pay, this coin still stands.

The fact this coin, in the first 5 days was:  literally hijacked, blackmailed, purchase offer on first launch day after an 81% attack, Miraculously survived a 81% attack, then another guy tried to literally steal the coin, while 2 more have already copied this coin in less than 10 days after launch, without adding a single feature to make it better.  My question is - with a coin with so many problems, near death, with no support and started by an economist who knows no programming why is everyone trying to steal it or copy it so badly when there's so many great coins out there they can legally copy and launch?  Why this coin?  I keep asking but nobody has an answer or even a hunch and since I'm no programmer I have no clue what sets my coin apart from other coins?

I'm determined - I have been fully transparent, as I promised on day one, I even revealed my real Identity including my family which was a tough choice but haters - the same ones who stole and cloned my coin were calling me a scammer and a fraud so I had to take drastic measures by putting my family youtube and Facebook up for all to see who I really am, while also giving away all my 1.57 Million Premined bounty earmarked NUGGET coins (due to overtly biased and false credibility attacks) but the attacks and lies kept coming cause the real reason was a select few wanted me to sell them my coin, this was nothing more than a character assassination attempt to either kill my coin or buy it from day one.

I'm a small miner myself, I'm like most miners out there and I'm determined to make the best coin and design it more and more to always give an edge to the smaller miners (while not abusing nor excluding the large miners). Win-Win for everyone is my philosophy, just like the Vlad Golden Blocks Protocol, small miners are thrilled to hit one Golden Block and large miners would love it just the same but relatively speaking, the smaller miner would benefit a lot more by hitting a Golden Block for obvious reasons) which is what the random lottery Golden Blocks were designed for and thanks to Twobits and MarkM there is now a fix for the Golden Blocks Protocol, and then I can't wait to see the little guy hitting 10,000 coins in one Golden Block Hit, when a regular block is only 49 coins.

Thank you all who have helped and please hold on to your coins because I will work hard to make them worth a lot more.  But if you wish to dump them, PM me first - give me the first chance as I have few coins and I am using them for bounties, and I would really like to accumulate some for myself before if/when NUGs makes it to a major exchange.

~  Thank you and good luck to everyone and God Bless!

Ok, here comes the LAUNCH.

I'm gonna start a new launch thread right now.

get ready and good luck guys, this new VGB thing could throw things off and make a real mess or maybe it will work as intended and make mining way more fun and rewarding especially if you've got a small rig to mine with.

Good and thanks for all your inputs, I tried my best to make this coin exactly as you wanted.

there is a 1% premine but half of that will immediately go toward a block explorer, pool and anything you guys want and I'm feeling like maybe I should just give my .5% away too just cause i'm tired of hearing of so much shit.

But I need to set up my own wallet first so you guys can see those coins and not call me an A-hole lying pumper.  Don't worry, I'll make good on all my promises but you guys need to chill a bit and help me out, this coin can be an awesome coin if you people just try to at least stay positive.

Here it comes:  Nuggets (NUGs)!

What I'm getting at is that the only reason miners even exist is to solve the double spending problem. Fidgeting around with mining payouts does nothing to help with the actual use of the currency.

You're obviously not a small miner.

Miners serve another purpose, to Make some money as their reward for making a solid secure network for everyone and the way things are now and only getting worse ,owners will get cut out.  So I wanted to create so etching with a small edge which would give miners a relative edge.  That's all.  Everyone is still happy, everyone wins, nothing changed, nobody is robbed while the small guy now has a bit of excitement in his life.  It's win-win, like I've said many times before.

But they don't make a solid secure network for everyone.

Instead they fragment all over the place, making more and more networks each of which is less and less secure.

If they were actually out to make a solid secure network for everyone they would merged mine, so that adding yet another coin/chain would not involve abandoning some already existing chain.

As it is, especially with those websites now that pretend to tell you which coin is "most profitable" to mine, it is all about insecuring all the networks, raping all the chains, and trying to establish a constant heartbeat of pumping and dumping where each coin that goes down in difficulty gets pumped back up so it will take small miners forever to mine each block, so the small miners are stuck making nothing mining the coins they actually are honestly trying to secure and make work properly by mining them even when those websites have trashed them by sending a bunch of gangbangers to drive the difficulty out of the reach of small miners.

If you really wanted to help small miners you should be making sure they each are picking up some of each of the sleeper coins so they can actually make some money like all the small miners who mined BBQcoins for a year with CPUs did, and making sure they know to use merged mining...

I have literally begged to let me make a merge SHA256 coin but they went crazy so I went with scrypt.  I personally lov sha256 but now its scrypt so I guess that means less secure networks.  I wish I had know that before.

Coin should launch on the next 1 hour.  It's all done I'm just making sure the VGB protocol doesn't act weird when put into practice and cause something lame like instamine to occur.
