1301  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: PAYING 5 BITCOIN to figure out how to overclock my BFL Mini rigs. on: August 09, 2013, 04:57:10 AM
I think the mini rig is just a bunch of singles stuck together, so flash the new single firmware on all of them.

Apparently our chips are stuck in customs for about "two weeks".  Then in October the next gen Avalons will be available.  Oh well.

1304  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: August 08, 2013, 04:41:15 AM
Oh I didn't realize I could register multiple wallets simultaneously!
Thanks again!
1305  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: August 08, 2013, 03:33:24 AM
Is there a way to clear a wallet and load it with different addresses?  I have:

cppWallet=Cpp.BtcWallet()
for address in addressFile:
    cppWallet.addAddress_1_(addrStr_to_hash160(address))
TheBDM.registerWallet(cppWallet)
TheBDM.scanBlockchainForTx(cppWallet)
print coin2str(cppWallet.getSpendableBalance())

Then I'd like to:
  destroy cppWallet (or clear it)
  and load another address watching file & rescan for a balance

No, when it's checking to make sure the hashes of incoming blocks are correct.
1308  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitcoin-QT sucks on windows 7 on: August 08, 2013, 01:13:50 AM
It should only use a lot of CPU power when it's validating the blocks.
1309  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitcoin-QT sucks on windows 7 on: August 07, 2013, 08:41:22 PM
It works fine for me.
1310  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: A block-withholding miner... on: August 06, 2013, 09:42:42 PM
Yeah if you submitted a valid block to another pool the coinbase transaction would give the 25 BTC to the original pool anyway.

If everyone cashes out, no one will be able to cash out.

Ah gotta love BASIC.
1313  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Want to have your bitcoins hidden? on: August 06, 2013, 08:08:38 PM
With this method the coins are still more traceable than if you used a mixer and there's a 99% chance they'll steal all your coins.

Oh you're right, I was thinking of brain wallets.
1317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] SCRYPT HARD FORK BLOCK ON 256000 on: August 06, 2013, 05:42:27 PM
So this would use SHA to convert private -> public keys but SCRYPT to show proof of work?
1318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How come the BTC QT client doesn't have a built in option to import on: August 06, 2013, 04:42:51 PM
The QT client isn't really for beginners.  You should try electrum.

The new scrypt wallet sounds like a good place to stick a trojan.  I assume you'll want us to import all of our private keys, right?
