Good questions.  Unfortunately in the US there's only really 2 parties, and so we need far fewer questions to find out if you're republican or democrat.

Do you like guns?  Or do you want sick people to get heath care?
Do you like religion?  Or do you want to try and preserve our environment?
Do you like bankers?  Or do you think everyone should have enough money to buy food and shelter?

Well,I installed the zadig driver & windows recognized the K16,but cgminer still dosen't see the device,hmm.....

Tried to update my Ubuntu to cgminer 3.6.4,but have no idea how to uninstall the old version of cgminer to install newer version  Roll Eyes

I am very much a noob at this compiling thing & Ubuntu...........oh well, should have gone to colledge  Cheesy

There's no uninstalling cgminer.  Just delete the old directory.  You don't even have to do that because the new version will have a different directory name.

The autorouter has still not finished routing the top layer Cheesy. :Sarcasm:

They're all hand routed for optimum performance.  (sharpie + copper etching)

Was the K1 verified working?

Now I just need a large dip and recovery, hopefully we're in a temporary bubble right now.

How can writing a bootloader be so hard?  Or is there no room for it?  I thought that PIC had a lot of program space.
Considering the wait time for a bootloader it may be smarter to ship them as is, with maybe a cheap 10 dollar pic programmer so we can do it ourselves

The board already has ICSP wired in so really you just need a serial port programmer made up to fit.

988  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: October 16, 2013, 10:18:30 PM

hmm... I just run "make"
What more I need to do ?
I see some warnings when I compile ramreduceleveldb version :/

EIDT:
Here is log from  "cd ccpForSwig; make swig":  http://virus.hostv.pl/make.log

I don't have the makefile in front of me, but just try running make instead of make swig.  It doesn't look like it built the library.
989  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 8 Kw/Hr in one room? Possible? on: October 16, 2013, 10:15:38 PM
*yawn*
X Kw in any room is possible with proper wiring, upgrading your breakers at the panel won't let you run 8kw from those miners all on one line however. lets work it backwards from your existing setup
you have 8kw worth of mining equipment, you need  ~67AMPS available to you, without having one of these to check it's inrush current i'm going to say you actually need 80 insted. if your house is wired with 12gauge wire(as opposed to 14, how cheap was your electrician) you could use 4 20 amp breakers. Assuming your electrican used 15 amp outlets you'll need to replace them as well, then it's just 3/line(so 2 lines per outlet)

or as mentioned instead of rewiring a room and running 80/200 amps residential get them hosted

Not if you run at 240, see my post above.

Did you make the swig files correctly?
991  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: October 14, 2013, 07:15:48 AM
Hello
I have a problem with Armory on branch testing. Everything was ok for same time but now it is stuck on "Build databases and scan", messages from console:

I am using Arch x86_64.

Just kill it and restart it, the same happened to me.
992  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 14, 2013, 07:01:24 AM
any idea how screwed I am with 128 chips?  Looking at mining calculators looks like I'll only make $700 in a year, am I way off or is the calculator flawed?

I doubt the percentage will remain 100%+ per month, but im new to this, any updated predictions guys?

October's already half over, that assumes you're mining for the whole month.

Yeah, check out this demo in creating a raw transaction:  https://people.xiph.org/~greg/signdemo.txt
995  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How is same signed transaction not reusable, also quantum security of ECDSA? on: October 12, 2013, 03:44:38 PM
Even if the coins were sent back to the same address they would have different unspent transaction output IDs.

Is the ZirconiumX one a typo? How come so much better? Is this something that's a good bet to try running live?

It's good to go back in time and use Jan. 1
997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Contest (Prize 2 BTC) next round to start 14 Oct. on: October 11, 2013, 04:29:11 PM

  • Given enough time, BnH can be beaten by EMA.
  • I have definitely optimised my code for this dataset.
The contest is only run over a short term period.  I thought it was still 2 weeks, but it's a month now.  But still short term.
998  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: October 11, 2013, 04:25:08 PM
I'm totally going to start my own cloud hashing service.  It's so lucrative.  I just need to think of a good name.
999  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: October 11, 2013, 04:21:43 PM

Does anyone have a pointer to the real information? Has anyone analyzed the WU readouts of the demo'd miners to see if we are actually getting the number of results expected for the hash rate, and not just getting trillions of duplicated hashes on duplicated nonce streams?

I'm not sure how it generates the nonces locally on chip, but if it was just spitting trillions of duplicated hashes then cgminer would report a very low rate of accepted shares and it would be clear that the chip was not performing at all.
1000  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 8 Kw/Hr in one room? Possible? on: October 10, 2013, 04:49:15 PM
It all depends on the socket wire diameter and the ampere of it. A heavy duty socket can go up to 10kwh.

Like fingernails on a chalkboard to an EE.

"the ampere of it"  Arrrggghhhhhhh!  Ouch.

kWh = units of energy

kW = units of power

It's a disposable socket.  Change after every 10 kWh.
