Most people here are broke and if they have extra fiat they will probly use it to buy BTC and not paint over them dollars Haha, yeah i think your right. It's the tragedy of the commons. Everyone wants to gain, without having to contribute. All Freeriders

From United States Code: Title 18 Part 1 Chapter 17, Section 333: Mutilation of national bank obligations: Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of any debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve Bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both. There is some online discussion about it. But it should be legal. http://www.stampstampede.org/pages/stamping-tips Stickers on coins are legal fo'show.

Hey guys, Check out this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=744357.msg8413890#msg8413890 . the idea is to stick durable stickers on the backside of ordinairy coins to promote bitcoin! It's a crowdfund project in need of as much support as possible. Another idea, if you're a cheap bastard and can't afford to back my project. Just write on your paper bills a small Bitcoin Symbol or some bitcoin related message (the utter margins of the bill are excellent space). That way we let the Bills do the same job. STICK AND ROLL, BABY! Look Example of the Cheap Bastard-method!

This project looks interesting. Can you explain in more detail about the specifications sticker?
I do not produce the stickers myself. I get them from a trusted supplier. They have been in the coinmarketing business for a while and worked together with renowned companies such as Domino's Pizza, the National Lottery, The National Postal Services. The problem is, there is no affordable option to buy the stickers in small quantities. That is why I set up this crowdfunding... This way we all buy together and still have just 50 or a 100 stickers... I mean I ain't going to stick more than that probably. There ain't much to say abou the stickers besides that they are about 2 centimeters in diameter, printed on glossy white vinyl paper and very durable (at least three months intensive usages). I got to know this company from a sticker i found on my own coin collection. This coin is from 1979, the sticker has been on there for about 15 years (but not intensive usage) still looking good! I put the example in the OP. It was a promotional effort by the Dutch Protest Group for Animal Rights (this coin is much bigger than a Euro though).

This is an excellent idea. What size will the stickers be about? ( sorry, I live in South Africa, I have never actually had a quarter or euro or pound coin, so im a bit ignorant unfortunately ) Thanks! and No problem! About 20 millimeters. I think the 2 rand (23mm) would fit perfectly!

Hey Guys, All of a sudden I had this great idea. What better way to promote a new currency by than using the old one?? In the early ages (like 20 years ago) it was very common that protest groups put stickers on coins to promote their ''good'' causes. Throughout the years this phenomenen has become rather rare. But why? None knows. And that is why we are going to use it again! Putting stickers on coinage is one of the cheapest ways to promote new stuff. An average coin switches hands like ones every four days. If theres a sticker on it, guaranteed that the receiver of the coin reads that message... Let's say 80% does. I mean, c'mon if you receive a coin with a sticker on, it makes you curious to read it right? So one sticker can reach around 8 people a month. If we all stick 50 stickers to our Euro's, Quarters, Pounds or whatever coin is close to that size... that means we could reach up to 50 * 8 * 52 = 228000 people a year! Per person! holy cow, that is a lot of people. So my crowdfund project is all about selling these stickers. I found some supplier who makes very durable stickers and most importantly: they do not cause any troubles with vending machines. Other stickers cause coins to be unusable for vending machines, resulting into people peeling the stickers off again. That is not what we want to happen. So check out this project. Fund. And receive your stickers. Currently the Design of the sticker looks like this But I am open for any new designs as well. Most important is that it has a short strong message and it should promote only Bitcoin. Not too much details, this is all about spreading generale awareness. Oh and it can only containd 4 colors maximum!Target: 3.5 BTC If the project does not get funded, all funds are refundedCheck out the project following the link below:https://bitcoinstarter.com/projects/967 Oh and also, Please Spread the word! Example: This sticker has been on this coin for at least 15 years! Fabulous quality! It was a promotional effort by the Dutch Protest Group for Animal Rights

This is an absolute joke. Market cap of 7 BTC for a project that is still running (with a pretty good idea). Only like 260k coins oustanding coins and like minimum pressure of mining. People exaggerated this dump imo. We'll see. Show them they were wrong dev! ( I have faith in you and the value of my UPM's in the long term )

Current market cap less than 10BTC? I'm taking some chance with this one. The idea behind it aint so bad.

There is only 16 million STR total available at the thai exchange lol... Price is simply pumped due to a lack of supply on the exchanges. As long as this distribution is slow... this might get a lot more fun.
Wow... people are buying huge amounts at ones. Volatility is huge on the thai exchange.

Wait... http://www.stellarvalue.org/ ... FB auths is currently at 350k.. This is obviously a joke right? You are telling me that 350k individuals signed up?

I was promised another 3500 for giving my Facebook. I ain't getting these? So I gave up my privacy for just 900? Pretty nasty trick
Why is there no regular ANN tread of this coin? And why is this coin not traded at the regular exchanges like Bittrex? Pretty annoying and seems like a barrier for people to get in....
Maybe a strange question. But why the name Saffron? The new features work astonishingly well.

Where can i find updates about this project??

Unless voot is the coin to be boosted by IE. His support usually brings the coin to 500% current value. He might be the one who tenporarily placed this sell wall

THE FUD ALWAYS STARTS WHEN PEOPLE MADE LOSSES.
The price has been in a constant uprise untill shortly, now it falls rapidly (most of the times it's just corrections, but FUD might make it indefinitely) and obviously everyone is bagholding. The people who took their losses are the ones to start spreading the FUD cuz they are mad . I'm sorry to say but the Dev is absolutely right. He delivered what he promised so far (the academic exchange platform), but the market was too far ahead with the price... It is hard to stay social with people that just joined the fun because of greed... Dev can't help if the market blows up the price with Air... He's not changing his plans and he shouldn't. The fact that the price collapses after listing on a big exchange is regular procedure. Weak hands expect it to rise, but it does not. Then they all dump panicing. The whales at Bittrex buy up the dumps and from there on the new rise starts. Regular procedures... exceptions are possible ps. The platform which the Dev already delivered is much more of an achievement than the actual dev of Uro has ever done.... -.-

Incredible how solid the Orderbook suddenly looks at these levels. Bid-side is filled really neat, while a significant rise took place only yesterday.
