Ah, the things kids do with MRE's these days http://community.discovery.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9741919888/m/9781979179

A friend has a bunch of those in his car, I need to grab a few.

You probably just have to have a gun license in the state the gun is being delivered to.
Nope!   MeSarah explained it specifically. That is how the law works.  I actually only know this because of the one dude who is selling guns for Bitcoin.  Or was, not sure how that is going.  He just owns a regular store but will accept Bitcoin as payment.  Trying to find his store link but can't atm.

No, it's free game, like how you don't have to pay taxes when you buy things on Amazon - the law works different when you sell over state borders. As far as I know, bullets, ammo, and guns are fine.
I thought guns has a special process?   Basically when you buy a gun online, you are just getting from a shop locally that is registered with something or what not. I don't know all the specific titles of paperwork, but I swear that is how that goes down.

Also, I randomly searched Amazon for bullets, I am super surprised they don't sell them, but that must be a legal thing then.
1305  Other / Off-topic / Re: [CLAIMED!] Bounty: 0.25 BTC. Find the Bitcoins hidden in plain sight. on: July 15, 2011, 06:40:54 AM
What the fuck, a link I gave helped.  Donations now people! I will never get any of these bounties myself!

I feel this if I'm not running Linux in this thread, I'm useless.  And I am pretty sure most people in the thread just think that about everybody in general lol
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitPeace.co - Self-Defense and Security Tools for Bitcoin on: July 15, 2011, 06:38:48 AM
I dont think I need much more then what I all ready have, my Ruger P-89.

That'll keep them tattoo'd freaks to keep their clothes on!   There are children on the Internet for God's sakes.  Won't somebody think of the children.

Also for the store, maybe rubber bullets?  I don't know the laws regarding firearm shit, so are bullets just bound basically by gun laws or it's free game, anyone can sell?
1307  Other / Off-topic / News Corp (FOX, Rupert Murdoch, Myspace) Allegedly Hacked 9/11 Victims’ Phones on: July 15, 2011, 06:34:00 AM
FBI Investigating Allegations News Corp. Hacked Into 9/11 Victims’ Phones
Quote
The FBI is probing whether employees of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. (NWSA) tried to hack into the phones of victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

“We’re aware of certain allegations pertaining to a possible hacking by News Corp. personnel and we’re looking into those charges,” Jim Margolin, a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New York office, said yesterday in a phone interview.

U.S. Representative Peter King, the Republican chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, asked FBI Director Robert Mueller in a July 13 letter to investigate whether employees of News Corp.’s News of the World tried to access voice mails belonging to victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks through bribery and illegal wiretapping.

King’s request to Mueller was one of several by elected officials and media watchdog groups to investigate News Corp. King, who represents part of New York’s Long Island, said in the letter that his district lost 150 people in the attacks.

At least six U.S. lawmakers yesterday asked government agencies, including the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission, to investigate possible violations of the law.

Reports that News of the World employees illegally gained access to the voice mail of murder and terrorism victims and paid police for stories have already resulted in several investigations into News Corp. The New York-based company closed the 168-year-old News of the World on July 10.

The rest of the article is at http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-07-14/fbi-said-to-investigate-news-corp-in-possible-sept-11-victim-hacking.html

Pieces of shit.

1309  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Mass emailing suggestions please on: July 15, 2011, 06:08:05 AM
Make sure all URLs are valid, clickable links. Your mailing list service should take care of this for you, but you want to double check and be sure.
Oh god and spell check a hundred times!    Mass mailers deserve a second, then third set of eyes.  Mistakes in mass emails is not good.    I did email marketing for a bit (the good kind where people actually signed up to the list)

I think the subject should be shorter, something like "Pay with Bitcoin and get %15 OFF!"

I would stay away from listing any specific exchanges, such as Gox, and possibly especially Gox lol (I know it's "fine" atm, but still in a general consumers eyes who does not keep up with the day to day of Gox still running, may think that site is still as fucked as it was when it was making the news).

If you have enough staff or like doing cs work over the phone, you could somehow make that "feel free to give us a call at 1-877-486-5650." more or less prominent (either go large or just leave the number in the bottom with your contact).   If you go more prominent, something like "Our Non-Comissioned friendly staff is ready to serve you at 1-877-486-5650" .. except not that, that is semi-horrible sounding, but that is the path I mean by more prominent, make that number just that much more appealing (not that they need to call it, but if they do, it will be a little taste of awesome).

Really sounds good and personal though, which it is, so good luck.  I'd like to be PM'd conversion numbers after if you don't mind sharing it (seriously too, I love analytics)

Idea for the store.  Non "usual" items that people generally use as protection, but are not meant to be that way.   Like a baseball bat.   Sell an iron.  Seriously too, the images of the household items together with the actual gear will be kind of amusing, but have a little reality to it too.   And as long as all items are actually purchasable, who knows what else you might sell more than your gear (which really, it is up to the user what they consider gear, thus this thread).

1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitPeace.co - Self-Defense and Security Tools for Bitcoin on: July 15, 2011, 05:34:08 AM
I will be selling self-defense devices and tools which will include batons, stun guns, knives and related accessories.
Talk about a best defense being a great offense lol, what happened to shields, gas masks, and helmets.  I guess there are three items.   I would say pepper spray but it's so tame compared to everything else listed, I think would only be good for cooking.
1314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: more of the same on: July 15, 2011, 05:30:27 AM
Many people involved in bitcoin are "computer people" because that kind of comfort with technology is pretty much a necessity to get involved with it. "Computer people" are well known to not have the best social skills. So one could safely assume this forum would be chock full o' folks lacking social grace.

Safe to assume, I think it is just forgotten in the heat of moments (and honestly doesn't matter, people should be understanding of each other, but at a certain point once you break respect with someone, it's over for the most part, glad to see it gone down to 'meh' levels here).

This thread sucks btw everyone, because I was elsewhere online just minutes ago, this stupid crap came up, and I felt I should copy and paste it lol

1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don’t Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don’t Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.”

Since a SHA256 can be computed from any string, and a Bitcoin address can be computed from any 256-bit value, it follows that every sentence has a corresponding Bitcoin address.
Did a logo for my podcast based on this.

http://www.xorbin.com/tools/sha256-hash-calculator is what I used.  Now I feel like taking everyones address' and see if I can find words (I need to find a better link for this, or maybe understand this sha stuff a bit better lol)

The bot has been off line the last couple of days for upgrades and debugging. I've already made the trade system more robust and will be adding some market detection code today so the system can automatically switch between radically different GA strategies on the fly.
That being said, it has already completed about 600 trades and is profitable Wink

I'm a thinker, an architect (INTP), not the business type.
I'm not doing this to make money -- neither through selling the software or making money on the market, I'm only doing it because I find it interesting.
At some point I will probably get bored and abandon the whole thing.

Awesome right?

At the least, better than this http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=28268.0 ?

I know this shit goes on, just have not seen the screens before is all.   I could possibly title this post better, but leaving for now, still reading on how this particular bot works.

That is kind of odd that Paypal gave up that much information, but I guess if you are associated with the account and the situation, that does make sense, maybe.   Really sorry to hear about this btw, thanks for the warning to everyone.
