There was a contributor to the nxtcrypto fund that Opticalcarrier fairly divided among us some time ago and I believe it was outside the scope of a contest. I also got a rather nice sum of 25,000 NXT at the very beginning. I do have the same expectation that you all have that NXT will increase and cover our investments of dollars and time. But the discussion about marketing and the comparatively low value that has been placed on it brings me to the place where I want to say a few words.
I really don't want to be a pain here. I just don't want to drop the ball and you all wonder why...

welcome our new campaign manager for reddit (I think there are 2-3, but this one would also pay for campaigns) salsacz, when nexerns client is published for a few days and we filled the subreddit /r/Nxt with many quality links, I want to start a reddit ad campaign. http://de.reddit.com/wiki/selfservehttp://www.reddit.com/ad_inqI will create pictures, other users can create pictures as well. We get 1000 views for 0,75$. We can target specific subreddits like /r/Bitcoin with 100k user or /r/litecoin with 18k user. But we can also target the whole frontpage. For only 75$ or 1000 NXT we could create 100k views. From interested persons or from every person world wide. I think it would be nice if we can get a minimum of 24.000 NXT for this. I would use 250 NXT per week to generate about 20000 views each week. In the beginning only on cryptocurrency subreddits. Later I would rotate it, so the "normal" ppl see the ad also. This campaign I would run for 2 years. What do you guys think?I don't think we should plan spending 2 years for reddit ads. In a few month, NXT is known (or not). Maybe a short campaign (3 month)? After that, we decide again? Or that. 3 months, but generating more views over that time. Then we can see the results and decide. You are right. |

Qbtc is rreferring to the www.nxtcrypto.org site. She should not have to pay the fefees out of pocket. Come on people. Same for joefox on wiki and btc24 on forums and intel for info/download. Marketing fund. I We sent 50k + 5k for wiki to cover for last 2 months from the NxtMarketing. There is also a small support for new sites from these funds and there would be support for most important sites that also provide new content... Most important are consultations.. this page is not optimal for new users: http://www.nxtcrypto.org/nxt-coin/client-download but new clients would hopefully solve it I say we just all agree to authorize CfB to repay from unclaimed nxt, to qbtc the amount shes spent so far, along with enough to keep site running til end of year. I propose we increase the MARKETING FUND by another 1,500,000 Nxt == Total 4.5 Million:
4,500,000/12 = 375,000 Nxt
It increases the current monthly budget by 125,000 Nxt.
This will increase Nxt value and everyone's investment.
We still stick to the monthly payment plan....paid out on the 18th of each month....next payment is February 18th 2014.
+1 this way last payment will be on 18th March and then will 2.8 Million be thrown to the genesis  |

What do you guys think? well, there is a logical problem: 250 (nxt) x 100 (weeks) = 25.000 - this would be OK, but that would also mean that this campaign is worthless, because Nxt would still be 0.00008 Btc  So yes I agree, if you want to manage reddit for 250/week, especially if in 2 months it would cost 100 Nxt / week thanks to better price for Nxt + we would always provide swarms (30+ people) to help Or that. 3 months, but generating more views over that time. There is 200 Nxt especially for the conf. Other coins could be borrowed from the same acc from NxtMarketing, but it would be nice to give them back, because conferences have too high budget. There is already a loan for the radio spot (currently 250k). My contract with BCNext expires on the 3rd of April. So in April we'll have all source code published, unclaimed coins transferred, some other things, that depend on me, completed. so the year after first Bitcoin biggest bubble, such wow  |

I know you wish to go to Amsterdam, I know you wish to go to Berlin, but we have talented people whom live there.

Sure, let's start with McJavar, who received 15.000 NXT for flight ticket and hotel in Berlin and ask him to return them. You should probably know that NOBODY is preparing for the conference meetings, NOBODY is contacting people to speak with them there, NOBODY is doing the job Nifty was doing before Miami. I am still hoping so McJavar will do something, all I know is that he is logging in, but his last post here was 9 days ago. he also wrote about T-Shirts & pendrives. Admiral.Fu would like to help between the sessions, he is the only one who would like to provide some marketing material and actually is doing it ( T-Shirts & + pens), but he is flying there too. Once again I have to say something as paying this huge amount just to be mentioned in a show where most of the listeners probably already know about Nxt (people that know about cryptos) is just ridiculous. They will mention Nxt anyway when it's worth mentioning, right now, there is no real reason. I disagree. This minute isn't about just mentioning Nxt, and it isn't just an advertisement. It will be a regular one minute news update allowing all LTB listeners to stay current on happenings in the Nxt world. Once they realize what's going on, I bet even the staunch Nxt haters will be interested enough to check out the wiki after 9 or 10 episodes. A lot of talented people and influencers in the Bitcoin community pay attention to LTB, so this flow of information is likely to spread beyond the LTB audience as well. Btw, salsacz, I support jl777's notion of using some of the 3 mil unclaimed Nxt allocated towards marketing to pay the difference. One suggestion I'd like to make, if mindtomatter is reading, is that the Nxt minute was rather awkwardly placed in this episode. Perhaps there wasn't much opportunity to place it in a more natural pause, but it would be good to avoid the feeling of interruption when it comes on. Timing and placement could really negatively influence people's emotional response if not done well. The deal was that salsacz would report back in detail to the community with what has been realized. I think the community also wants a report of what comes in marketing fund and what was going out and to whom. After evaluation community would vote for the next partial payment of 250k NXT. What we see now is that there is still 305,000 NXT to spend. Meanwhile salsacz is asking for donations for the conferences 250K and asking for donations for LTB advertising 290k It is still to be seen if community want to spend NXT for these purposes and under what for conditions. I have asked if it is needed to send 7 people to conferences and I would like to see in detail whom is going to which conference and who will receive payment for that and whom is going at free will paying himself. I don’t get answers.
