This sort of sarcasm would lead me to believe you were a scammer if I were in his shoes.
I have learned that people who code and program are some of the most curt people, anywhere.  I use the word curt even though I think I mean rude.   Ignoring this thread, you can find people being quite sharp, witty, and assholes to each other at every chance they get.   I think some kind of pissing contest is going on but I'm not sure the prize other than to scare away newcomers and to never solve any issues (I am really not talking about this thread with this btw, this is epic shit here people being mature and resolving something, half of me wants everyone to be happy about agreements being made and etc, but the other half is like 'oh wait, this is how people should act')
1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Commercial on: July 15, 2011, 04:02:14 AM
Ah, a decent idea, a jingle or chime or just a little pleasant sound effect at the end of each one that goes along with or follows the tag line / links / whatever.   That way each commercial can have a little bit of uniformity at the end on top of the font/style/etc.       I am personally still a fan of the silence but I can see a jingle or a chime not being a shitty thing.

I don't buy the excuse that the person can't afford to pay me.  If they need a week to come up with 1 BTC or equivalent, I would feel rightful in thinking I was scammed as well.  Who doesn't have $14 and hires out art in good faith?
I would say the majority of users on this forum.

Yeah, owner is active still http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=26910.0 I'm sure he is either on top of it or asleep and will just be flailing in the morning like all good webmasters do once every week or so

I know a hooker who would take BTC.
I think we all know her.

I am having trouble deciphering this sentence. Can you re-word it in the form of "I believe..."?
I will never not do that when I get the chanetunity.

I know I'm late here, but what sad day.    I went to check your site real quick and see it has turned in to a scam page Sad
1328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would you pay 1 bitcoin per year to download music legally, for a year? on: July 15, 2011, 12:58:13 AM
To be super honest here, I do not believe the general Bitcoin market does not purchase music in nearly any form.  I would love to see a poll.

Very curious, is this case still pending ? lol

MeSarah is more educated about porn than she'll ever be.  But if not, I hope the lawyer who will be called upon for this will brief her on how this internets work.

The thing is, you can't have just Bitcoins as a payment method. Very few people know bitcoins and for your business to succeed you must accept other payment options.
I disagree.  You will be entering competition with the big boys, stay the course Exo!, Bitcoin only services (I still don't understand what you are doing fully, but I'm sure the fact that you take Bitcoin as payment is the reason you started this 'service' lol)

This will be for computer too. Haha. Its a setup I've done myself, with a very private accurate source.

This is the most shady reply you could have given lol

If a file is being downloaded on the mobile, why is this function not offered on the computer?   Is this through a service you have set up yourself or will you be giving an account to an already established music service?

1334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would you pay 1 bitcoin per year to download music legally, for a year? on: July 14, 2011, 11:56:48 PM
This is a streaming only service (or download to mobile only?)?

Again, file formats.  Bitrate for the audio.  Need specific details please.

More details please.  File formats.  Restrictions of the files.  Legally = US?

1336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Planning To Start Accepting Payments on: July 14, 2011, 11:47:50 PM
I think that the best option is to trade a few dollars for bitcoins and buy things yourself. During that process you will also learn a few things about bitcoins.

So true, you will never appreciate something you got for free if you got that same item and earned it.

1337  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Lawyer Introduction Thread on: July 14, 2011, 11:45:03 PM
Something like this http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=28896.0 seems like it would be one of those things a Lawyer does for free because it will get them business for quite a while type of thing.

I chat with Penn on twitter all the time...
And I know he already is aware of Bitcoin.  For some reason I think he has something invested quietly, but who knows, it doesn't matter, he hasn't made many declarations (other than one or two tweets I had seen of his).    So what's up Bruce, you need a 2 minute sketch written and you'll get Penn to do it?  Tongue

I currently have 0 bitcoin so I cant do any transactions on my own.

https://freebitcoins.appspot.com/ happy brithday Smiley

Edit: I see how Atom read what you said, now I see it too.  You do not need Bitcoin to do Bitcoin transactions, I am kind of confused now.  You want people to give you Bitcoin so you can spend Bitcoin?

They do have markets that allow you to buy 1 Bitcoin, and at only $13 something right now, I would suggest buying some.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop with the shopa on: July 14, 2011, 11:25:16 PM
I'd just like to see it more focused.
I agree with most of what you said and especially this.

I see your suggestions have a lot to do with doing business outside of ones own country.   Maybe the middle ground is to have merchants that specifically cater to markets outside of their physical area to ensure whatever it is they can offer at a better price than other lands.

There has to be sites that list not industries, but maybe specific products that one country has little of but another has a lot.
