1321  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is your year with bitcoin so far? on: March 25, 2023, 06:43:51 AM
There is not much difference between this year and the last year, I wish that Bitcoin makes a new low because I still have the most money in stablecoins, and I am not satisfied with the amount of Bitcoin I was still able to gather, now that Bitcoin has rejected the 30ish price target, maybe we can see 24,000$ again, but all this won't last, we only have few months left, if 2024 gets here it is over for any DCA strategies because in 2024 you will be buying at a higher price and new loads of money will start getting into crypto.

2023 is the last opportunity for Bitcoin accumulators to get what they can before it's too late.
1322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you feel when....... on: March 24, 2023, 09:08:08 AM
OP you are not looking enough, there are many projects that did so well just like how Shiba inu turned many into millionaire with small amount of money, go to coinmarketcap and look at Polygon lowest value in 2019, the project was trading for 0.003$ on an exchange, so do the calculation if you are to invest with as little as 300$, you would have gotten 100,000 Polygon and the ATH was 2.9$ per token in 2021, that's 290,000$ with 300$.

Solana, Uniswap, Chainlink, or even Vulcan forged provide investors with peace of mind as they are better than Shiba inu that's a meme coin.
1323  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: March 24, 2023, 07:33:00 AM
Your bonuses only gets bigger if you wager a higher amount of money, for people like me the bonus part is always not enough, because I prefer playing with low amount of money, it's even why bonuses don't look that interesting to me anymore after I found out that big players are the ones that benefits the most from bonuses.

Welcome bonuses, deposit bonuses, these two are what I care about, so yes bonus is a very attractive offers from online casinos, bonuses are very important.
1324  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: March 24, 2023, 06:49:33 AM
Inflation is the real problem that most countries find very hard to combat and win, this is why the poverty rate and situation in some countries are very bad , but it makes no sense to depend on your government for your life goals and achievement, I have seen too many people blaming the government for this, which is really unfair, the only reasonable things people can expect from the government are

•Good road and Stable Electricity.

•Advanced and Standby Security for the People.

•Better availability of Jobs.

Still, it is on you to find something legit you can do to improve yourself financially, it is wrong to expect the government to solve your issue of lack of knowledge to make money, start doing something, and believe in yourself only.
1325  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX Founder Arthur Hayes Predicts Bitcoin To Reach $1 Million Within 2-3 Year on: March 23, 2023, 08:35:43 AM
When people go left, the right way is the RIGHT, since BitMEX Founder isn't the only one talking about 1 Million per Bitcoin, brothers, and sisters, it's never going to come true, this reminds me of the 100k Bitcoin in 2020, almost everyone was saying that Bitcoin is going to 100k, this got into some peoples head and they held to their BTC and failed to take profit, unless Bitcoin lost its steam in January of 2022..

Avoid following the crowd, follow a different path, believe in yourself.
1326  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: ChipMixer and clone sites are still in the wild on: March 23, 2023, 07:02:03 AM
This is a well-known problem that can never be solved by complaining to the Google team, because they don't care, this is another good reason to get uBlock Origin running on your PC for yourself, and stop searching through Google search engine for official link of a website or platform you know nothing about. There is no way Google search won't pack take ads to users searching for answers using the search engine.

1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 23, 2023, 06:14:51 AM
Most of the time I play Blackjack & Dice.  I have always noticed that when I bet a large amount I am a loser when it comes to Dice.  Also in case of Blackjack when I bet big amount I get wrong card due to which I lose the bet. On the other hand when I bet small amount I win in case of Dice and if I bet small amount multiple times I win multiple times.  In Blackjack, when I bet small amounts, I am always get good cards and win the bets. Thus the cycle continues.  I have noticed that it is not an easy thing to withdraw from having achieved something great. I always gamble for fun with small amounts and lose them but I don't care. But I started playing blackjack yesterday with $1k and noticed that the casino sites are somehow cheating us. I lost my $1k yesterday. through Blackjack. What do you think about casino site algorithms?  Are they cheating with us?
Listen to yourself, if small amount is what keeps bringing you a good fortune then accept your luck, I thought it's always a good thing to use a small amount of money for gambling, the only way to lower your loss is by using a small amount of money.

Also, some online gambling platforms will try to wake the greediness in their players, making them win with small amounts so that they can get greedy and retry again with Big amount of money, this is common sense, think about it, why win only when you play with a small amount? You are not alone.

A smart gambler would have known how the platform is operating, and have some laughs about it, but keep playing with small amount, since that's the only assured way to win on such a platform.
1328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC needed for retirement in 10 years? on: March 23, 2023, 05:44:21 AM
If you plan to retire in 10 years then it shouldn't stop your buying power, right? You should be buying a good amount of Bitcoin every year, let's say you are able to afford 0.1 BTC per year from your salary or business, in 10 years time that's 1 BTC, how incredible is that? Right now, 0.1BTC is 2744$, this is very achievable every year for the working-class, if we have to break this amount further down, this is 228$ per month.

I believe this strategy is far more going to be effective, instead of buying 0.1 BTC like some recommend and sit on that for the next 10 years, not good enough to me, use the next 10 years to secretly accumulate Bitcoin 👍
1329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a treasure. on: March 22, 2023, 02:07:20 PM
Good Day medium, there is something I will want us to be aware of since bitcoin is a life-changing investment some people are taking it as property, I say this because I overhear someone making a call and saying he has 2BTC and that's is his property.
Now that bitcoin is more valuable in most countries, that shouldn't be a property it should be an investment, those who see bitcoin as property should learn more or read more about bitcoin and how it works.
To me, bitcoin is an investment and also a treasure, I don't know if am wrong or right.
But if someone may ask you, what do you call BITCOIN?
If you can call something your treasure doesn't that make it your property? If you own your Bitcoin in your wallet that's non-custodial, doesn't that make you the rightful owner? You are mixing things up OP.

Early Bitcoin investors that hold Bitcoin since 2012 can easily say that their Bitcoin is their property, a property that doesn't depreciate in time, I don't see anything bad about calling Bitcoin a property, it's mine, I own the private key, that makes it my property.
1330  Economy / Economics / Re: Replacement? on: March 22, 2023, 01:26:46 PM
Crypto is a threat to Fiat, if we are ever going to see some crypto projects use publicly for payment, trust me the government will be the ruling leader of the projects, such projects will work with CBDC and the ISO whatever of things, crypto payment will remain private within the people, not the government, this is why it will be very hard to see crypto getting accepted as means of payment, some countries will accept Bitcoin but many will continue to put up some restriction on it because it is a threat for them.
1331  Other / Beginners & Help / Crypto space: A Wild Wild West on: March 22, 2023, 12:00:24 PM
Scammers can exploit people's emotions to their advantage if they can manipulate their emotions.

I remember watching the Squid games series on Netflix and not a single soul that I recommend the series for hated it, I mean we all like the Squid games, people were so into the twisted plots and we never got tired of talking about it.

Later these scammers come up with Squid Game token, this is an unauthorized altcoin that's based on the Netflix series.

People got too emotional about this release, in a matter of weeks, this Squid Game token went through the roof, the token was almost 3000$ per token.

The funny part is, CNBC, Business Insider, and even Forbes covered this scam token, I believe it got that much attention through these big news outlets.

Later people who invested in this fake Squid Game token started complaining that they aren't able to sell on the open market, I believe this was the creator's plan all along, some people who smell danger right from the beginning where able to sell, but the majority couldn't sell any token.

People wished for this project to work out, because they like the series, someone living nearby introduced this project to me but with the past experience I've gotten through crypto rumbles, I knew it is not a safe investment, I couldn't confused him because he believed, he learnt his lessons few weeks later when he could not sell.

👇*LEARN FROM THIS*👇

•Even if a big Business news channel are talking about a project, it doesn't make it a scam-free project.

•Scammers always like to use whatever is currently making waves in the crypto space to take advantage of the people.

•Right now, there is nothing else that's captured the public imagination like cryptocurrencies, the number of scammers in this crypto space is very big.

•Scams attracts people faster than something legit because something legit takes time, only fraud and scams rushed in attracts people fast.

The problem doesn't end with Phishing, exchange hacks, or social engineering frauds only, learn to control your emotions when people are rushing after something, most of the time, it's probably a scam, it is not going to end well.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Strangest Bet You Have Ever Had? on: March 22, 2023, 10:56:17 AM
I once used 10$ worth of Bitcoin to gamble on freebitco website and I did some rolling and I netted 0.2BTC this was a very long time ago, I was surprised at first that I reload the web page again, I quickly try to withdraw but this spirit of confusion came straight for me, I thought, why can't I just keep doing this? Maybe I can win more, and I ended losing everything.

It is very easy to lose yourself when you win a gambling game, your greediness that's been buried within you for a long time will wake up instantly, what I learned is to always take your winnings, if you want to try your luck again, use 1% of your reward, or better come back some other day.
1333  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: March 21, 2023, 12:14:10 PM
You will have to wait for 11 days to be able to withdraw your Bitcoin back into your wallet if you are storing the 1$ on a top crypto exchange, this is not a safe practice, because anything can happen to any exchange no matter how big they are, it is better to safe your money up to 11$ or 12$ before using it to buy crypto, for example when I am using Binance I can't withdraw anything less than 10$ on the exchange, I can't even buy anything with 9$, Huobi exchange has to follow the same step too.

*Wait till you have up to 12$ to buy so you can withdraw instantly.

*Avoid storing your daily 1$ on any exchange, they are safer in your bank account until you are ready.
1334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mistakes small or big that will cause us a lot in the future on: March 21, 2023, 11:03:03 AM
In short don't store anything in any device where it's used to connect internet and try to be different on one site to another.

Another thing to reduce online attack are:
  • Don't click random link
  • Install adblocker and always check the domain name to prevent from phishing attack
  • Avoid any altcoins e.g. airdrop, bounty, because it might compromised your privacy and security.
How safe is ad blocker? Not all adblockers are safe because there are few that are closed source, even the ones that are open source are not entirely safe like we thought, the ad lock developer might decide to push malicious code one day, or imagine if the developer Chrome store account get hacked, there is the possibility that the attacker can inject a malicious update.

I feel like the best solution to this is to use incognito mode to access sensitive websites like Bank account and others, most browsers comes with incognito mode, you only need to activate them because they are always deactivated by default.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 3 Reasons Why Cytpocurrency Gambling is more Addictive than Fiat Gambling! on: March 21, 2023, 10:26:01 AM

But ever since I discovered online gambling, and also with cryptocurrency, I started gambling again and since then, I've not stopped, right now, my family and most of my friends do not know I gamble, except those that also gamble,
So, cryptocurrencies have made online gambling very easy and fun as well, and I agree that, it has contributed a little, in its gambling addiction.
They don't know you are into gambling because you are either a grown-up man who is old enough to watch his back, or you are living far away from them and you've never made any huge loss, three days ago a cousin of mind use his father's savings to play sports bet and he lost all the money, he then went ahead to use his junior brother's account to place another bet and lose all the money, when the story leaked out we later find out that he even borrow money from someone else to gamble too. He lost all the money and he can't go back to school because there is no money. His father is heartbroken and couldn't believe that his Son is into sports betting, whereas he has warned him about how quickly gambling can destroy a life.

if I have to gamble I will rather use small money to win a less life changing amount than use big amount of money and hope that I make life-changing money, the chances are always very slim.
1336  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam alert] Fake Arbitrum airdrop claim website.. on: March 21, 2023, 09:42:25 AM
Someone sent me a link on telegram to claim free Arbitrum airdrop yesterday and as I look the link carefully I saw this https://arbiitrum.foundation, if I am one of those newbies who are impatient it is possible that I will fall for this scam, for the fact that the name is almost identical to the official link will make someone become a prey for this scammer.

We need to cross-check links very well before opening them, and the most dangerous links comes from unknown personnel either through mail or through PM, so do not try opening any link that's sent to you from strangers.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my lack of knowledge has blinded me so far on: March 20, 2023, 12:01:37 PM
Thanks everyone for polite answers to being against KYC.. i really liked to see ur pov
I too do not like KYC either. But if it is about gambling account, I am not that concerned about KYC because I am only using small amount of money to gamble, I have nothing to be concerned about that for.

The reason I am concerned of KYC is about fake gambling sites, they can collect your information and use it against you later. Also that even legit sites can sell your KYC to third-party which are the reasons I do not like KYC.

I know how to stay away from fake gambling sites, but what about the legit sites that sell your KYC?

But what I use a small amount of money for, I do not think I should feel insecure because of it.
Hi _act_, I have been thinking about this KYC issue myself, we are so concerned about our security and what those who ask for the KYC can use our Infomation for, behind our back, but I have not, for once, seen where by KYC got anyone into trouble.

It's been over 10 years that I have been using the internet, I have never for once seen or read news about how some criminals use living people's identities to buy drugs or do evil things, if you have, do drop me a link or guide me to the source.

We are too concerned about identity, it is normal, I understand that, but even in the crypto space, we pass exchange KYC tests to trade on them, I don't see how other people's kYC can be useful for them, not a single one has been proven right.
1338  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's not safe to be a crypto influencer on: March 20, 2023, 10:34:08 AM
this is why I will never be a crypto influencer because you can't predict what will happen to the project you are promoting.

Some influencers and advertisers do not warn people about any risks before promoting any project. I suggest the best way to influence or promote is to always tell them to carry out due diligence research before investing in or using the project. Some influencers would assure you with full confidence, telling you to invest, that your investment would not be a waste, but they don't know what the full plans of the project they are promoting are. Logically, I think some projects that fail did so on purpose, while others never did so on purpose but rather because they faced some challenges or bankruptcy and could not keep up and ended up failing. I don't think influencing is dangerous, but it depends on how you are influencing.
I watch YouTube videos, a lot, because that's the fastest way to know which project is getting the latest attention, and I have never for once seen any crypto influencers not protecting himself by saying "not a financial advice, do your own research before investing" they all always do.

This is not enough to save their asses if anything happens, at least that's what it looks like to me.

I knew about some new crypto projects through them and some are pump and dump, but if you apply your own skill of research you will be able to figure out if the project will survive or not, the risk won't vanish due to research but will save you from scam projects at least.
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 20, 2023, 09:02:12 AM
I think the only cryptocurrencies worth staking with no worries are Bitcoin and Ethereum, the APY will always be smaller compared to some altcoins, I don't like staking altcoins because, after staking the price might surge and you won't be able to take profit if the altcoin project has a stop staking button it will come with some penalties,

Some altcoins have ridiculous staking rewards, like a gaming project that offers 69% APY, a very small project and the trading volume isn't even up to 20,000$, These types of projects are very risky, they can die at any time before the staking period even ready for claiming.

If its a must for you to stake.

1. Pick top coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum or BNB.

2. You can choose to stake on Binance exchange, if anything goes wrong they will pay you back, Binance exchange takes responsibility for any users funds that get lost or stolen, using damage funds.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think that there are Dark secrets in every Successful Business on: March 20, 2023, 08:14:39 AM
Many successful people have dark secrets behind them, but it doesn't mean that to be successful in life you need to have a dark secret yourself, this is not right.

It's not like all world successful people have dark secrets, some of them are blessed naturally, some came from rich families while some rise to stardom, without using any form of darkness.

If anyone believes that, to be successful they have to go dark, the blame is on them, they are too blind to see and they decide to go bad because they believe that's how world successful men are been made.

On the side of gambling life, there is always a secret, this is certain, I have heard some dark stories about Las Vega's big bosses, and come to think of it, gambling isn't always pure, most times it's cruel and stinky at the same time, not the online ones but the local dens.
