Guys, you're hijacking the OP's thread as the focus is now on the HEX8A1 and not the S1's
I am stopping...please excuse me... i have just reply to the questions asked Sorry
1322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board on: February 06, 2014, 01:14:01 PM
As for power Ioshia's rough numbers are about 36-40A for 240-260GH

36A x 12V = 432W
40A x 12V = 480W

Soooo.... it don't look like I'll be selling my 6x Bitfury Hex16B's = 270GH/415W just yet!
Do not even think about it. There is nothing better in terms of power that i have touched Wink
1323  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1] Sharing of ROI status? on: February 06, 2014, 01:12:28 PM
The price is wrong in your calculator they cost. $2000 not $500

http://technobit.eu/index.php?id_product=61&controller=product&id_lang=1
1499 € = 2000$

Plus something else is messed up in that calculator there is no way you can make 0.5BTC per day on 260ghs you need 2.6THS to reach that sort of return today.
It is not per day it is per diff jump estimation. And yes USD is wrong for sure. The roi for me is BTC roi only. I am not the flat/BTC or if type roi
Like a resume: I have almost equal chances to reach roj like Ants customers (if i ever reach it). The point is if you got my comments not the calculator figures itself. And if you understand why i am not happy of the ants price no matter how good it looks like.
But when we want a new toy we have to buy it for somewhere. Everyone is free to decide from where and how much to pay

Does anybody know how many orders have accumulated during the CNY?

I think near about 2500 s1 ordered.. Smiley

Thanks
Based on.... ?

the main wallet accumulative payments since holiday

Yeah, 2500 doesn't seem completely off, considering 14 pages of incoming transactions looking like 1.45BTC/unit - I wonder if the hashrate will drop 450TH on Saturday, wouldn't mind that a bit Smiley
For sure  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
But there is still a chance they to plug some new units for testing  Cry or somone else of course Cry Cry Cry Cry

Super post dude!
Thanks.
When the facts speak goods keep silent!!!!
Thank you
The only thing that matters is when you got the miners and what you have paid for them OC and other stuff is irrelevant here!
In general it turns out that no matter how low the price looks like we are struggling for ROI. Some folks did not liked my posts in other ants threads and call me a troll because of them. I am wandering if anyone of them will DARE to comment?

And hows the ROI on your Hex8A1?

http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=2621404453&dcosts=500&diff_mincrease=25&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=260000&diff_mincreasedecrease=3&btcusd=826.90&dpowcon=30&btcusd_mincrease=1&pcost=0.25&calcweeks=32&dleadtime=0&action=calc

You can read the numbers right?

i would say so/so but the main difference between my board and ants is that:

1. ant has own chips which do cost cents in quantities. And belive me he made a lot of them.
2. ants have premined well for the last mounts at lest four mounts profit

My hexA has 8 chips 100 USD each again because Chinese brothers want 100xmargin from their initial investment Grin
My hexA is from first run, which means that most of dev costs are calculated in the price i've paid. At the end both ants and technobit do deserve profit for their hard work (no irony), do not they?

I am leaving conclusions to you Grin

I am concerned if such high quantities can be fulfilled.
They can  Wink You are buying long tested in stock miners dude Wink there is not need to wait for assembly and testing
Yeah i forgot that their  test room is dusty so even an hour of testing looks like mounts of mining but who cares Grin
The key point is that you know the price and if you pay it today you are having the miner tomorrow. That kind of service can not be archived from no one for the moment. if you think price is ok just go for it. Honestly speaking for me it does not matter if the unit was mined for a month even more or it is brand new. If price suits me and service is cool then all is good.

Nice.

Are you going to push the chips harder to get more per chip? Get some oil or immersion cooling?

No i am not going to. Next step will be 255 to reach 260 GH and i will leave it there. That would be it. About immersion cooling i have good experience with it. It does not worth booth the effort and expenses. Besides i wana make some profit Wink so extreme OC and immersion just does not pay off

Some more speed updates as promised Grin

I got it 250GH stable!!! Some things to note:

cgminer clock is set to 250. To find out actual ASIC clock you have to multiply by 4x250 = 1000. In theory I have 8 chips , 32 cores each 1000 clock which equals to 8*32*1000=256000 or 256 GH. You will ask where are my 6 GH. So bad news I got 5 dead cores/engines which does not bother me much. That are the chips received from the factory and I can not do much about it.
./cgminer-api stats | grep engines
   [Chip1 Engines] => 32
   [Chip2 Engines] => 29
   [Chip3 Engines] => 32
   [Chip4 Engines] => 32
   [Chip5 Engines] => 31
   [Chip6 Engines] => 32
   [Chip7 Engines] => 31
   [Chip8 Engines] => 32

So I should be getting in theory 251 GH so basically I am there!!

More good news – the max clock rate should be 275*4 = 1100. I am not feeling like I will push it to the limits but I can tell you that all of you shall be getting around 260 GH. Have in mind cooling is very important. I am lucky because it is winter now and my room temp is around 10C. I know that up to 20-22 C is ok.
More Updates to come tplink and cgminer options

1332  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon2 based miner from Technobit - HEX16A2 on: February 06, 2014, 08:04:18 AM
Hi

I have a big problem.
I have 5 miners and all of them work fine IF a let them work one by one...even two together work fine.
BUT.....

If i want to let 3 miners work together, the PSU crashes.

The miners, the hub and the MR-3020 are ALL conected to the same PSU-Molex cable-tree.
The PSU has 550W....

What can be the problem?

Can it be that the PSU is too old even it has NEW 550W?

Pls help me ..... i cann't solve this problem
what is the rating AMPS of PSU 12V rail is it a single one?

PSU-Model: pentium iv & pfc model lc6550G version 2.0

MAC DC OUTPUT:

Voltage 230V:
+3.3V -> 35A
+5V -> 40A
+12V1 -> 16A

Current 4A
+12V2 -> 18A
-12V -> 0.8A
-5V -> 0.5A

Frequency 50Hz
+5VSB -> 2.0A
BLK - > COM
GRN - > PS-ON
GRY -> PG

I made a shortcut betwen the green and black cable to turn the PSU on without motherboard.
So
1. Chosse a single rail PSU
2. When board is OC-e it is eating about 9.5 Amps
So if i were on your shoes i will connect just two boards to this PSU when i am absolutely sure that each board is connected on a separate 12V rail. Does this explanation clears up a mastery crash;)
And do not push it to much magic smoke will come out sooner or later. I am not joking here i am serious

So you say that the PSU is too poor to run more then 2 boards at once?

Will a new PSU work better and how much power do i need to run all 5 together?

Would this one do the job?

http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/v-series-psu/v1000/
Dude,

First please excuse me i just saw that it is Avalon2 boards. So i do not know what the board consumption is but i know that it is getting close to Avalon1 And definitely i say that i would not run more than two broads on this PSU. Whatever you do choose a SINGLE rail PSU. Do you know to what rails are the boards connected i guess no.. and so on

PS:
http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/v-series-psu/v1000/

Yes it will do and you will have a room for more boards this one is too powerful.
My advise is to measure exact board consumption on 12V and choose appropriate one you can save a bug for sure. If this is not an option for you go with 1000W  Wink

I just orderd one of these PSU's and in a few hours i will try it out.
Hopefully it's gonna do the job.

Thank you very much for your help so far. I'll gonna give a feedback when it runs.
;-)

It will do the job. Just make sure you use all molex cables. Do not connect more than one miner to a single molex cable even though it has two more connectors in parallel. Unless you ought to Wink

How about start with cleaning the thermal paste around the SMD component Roll Eyes
I do not care about paste. What i care is cgminer to work Wink
Apart of the jokes i have asked about it and it is non conductive one. I am not HW expert but as long it is no conductive clearing it will make the board look pretty and nothing more
1336  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board on: February 06, 2014, 06:22:11 AM
Pretty quiet about the power consumption...
Yes in fact it is. So to give you a clue as far as i know two miners with extreme OC do crash 850 W PSU rated about 73 A on 12 V
It turns out that there are peaks with 35Amps+ per board in order to crash PSU or PSU is just crappy.
I will have my PSU today 55Amps on 12V for a single miner and give it a shot i guess it will not crash with just one miner
As i predicted some time ago they eat power for sure. I will try to find power meter and give yo exact numbers But if you want 250GH+ make sure you can provide - peak power 40Amps for a board. Carefully chosen PSU 650W-700W should be fine. The bottom line will be 600W but i am not risking just to save a couple of bugs
i am talking about 12V at the wall add between 10-20 % on top EU/US (220V/110V) PSU efficiency and so on
Have in mind that marto's chips are samples from zefir as far as i know and there is a rumor that later they will re page the chips with thick wires inside which will improve efficiency

If you'd like to chance your money with some of the other companies which claim to have a working Terrahash miner, or are based out of Pakistan or Russia, Ukraine or one of those countries please do. I'm sure they will give lots of technical information and specifications of machines that don't really exist and never will.

Unless you prefer eu based company technobit Wink I can assure all of you that I am having eight chip coincraft board in hand hashing like I beast 240-250 gh
