Wow, I did not expect Bitcoin to have a big move up today. Not to mention LiteCoin too, that seems to be blowing up everywhere. I hope Bitcoin continues to rise though and doesnt fall back down.
Panic buying is your friend at times like these, everyone in crypto is getting furious right now and plenty on the sidelines are about to take the plunge. Grin
1342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hard crash is imminent because of Greece on: June 29, 2015, 05:28:39 PM
It must suck to be so full of regret and not seeing the change in the market so you can safely buy back in and not miss out. Keep digging in them heels!
1343  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: June 29, 2015, 05:24:15 PM
Yep, this is the start of something epic and other worldly. We've earned it after going through the last year and a half tho. The time will come when all those people you talked about bitcoin to will be being super friendly to you. Smiley

Are the polls rigged, or are most Americans "stressed, drugged and lacking in common sense"?
Oh wait, I gotta' take my meds and watch more TV...  Roll Eyes

Yeah, the politicization of this latest same-sex marriage issue by the white house and their ilk is overboard. It's one thing to make a statement on it but it's another to go glory-style when a sizable minority of the US, which is the Christian variation of churches, is thoroughly against the whole thing.
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin was accepted everywhere would you use it? on: June 28, 2015, 07:24:22 PM
Yes. My wife and I are going to Vegas next week. I am going to move a coin to my Mycellium phone app in hopes of being able to spend it, I'm sure there will be somewhere that will accept it.  Smiley
Take her to get a great meal at Joe Vicari's Andiamo Italian Steakhouse at The D. They should accept bitcoin since the hotel does.
1347  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloudways Now Accepts Bitcoin on: June 28, 2015, 07:20:00 PM
It only makes sense for a cloud type business to not lag behind and start taking more payment options, esp when bitcoin is such an efficient one. Not even to mention the similar tech backgrounds between the company and this payment tech.
1348  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-28] Video: Trace Mayer at the Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency Workshop on: June 28, 2015, 07:11:14 PM
Trace Mayer is great at explaining the Future of Bitcoin and why it will succeed. This event, hosted by CRYPSA at the LaGuardia Community College is one example of what a P2P community can achieve.
1349  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-27] CT - The Greek Dilemma: Hyper Inflation, Austerity, or Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2015, 07:07:57 PM
I really can't see any country, esp Greece, to begin only using bitcoin as their currency. As long as a society lives beyond its means, they won't be able to use honest money. Central banks are what manages currency expansions when a government can't control their spending.
1350  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [06-27-2015] Management Shake-Up At Bitreserve on: June 28, 2015, 07:04:16 PM
Looks like this mngmt shakeup is all about setting up proper and knowledgeable people in the roles of international compliance and also to allow the founder to focus more on branching out their services to the under-banked.
1351  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-28] torrentfreak.com: Can BitTorrent Be Better With Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2015, 06:58:12 PM
I suppose those that have jobs and less time to sit around and wait for a download to complete that they'd be willing to tip those that offer some of their bandwidth to help streamline things.
1352  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [06-22-2015] Case Wallet Raises $1.5 Million In Seed Funding on: June 28, 2015, 06:47:24 PM
Sounds like it's an extremely secure portable wallet that is the size of a large tablet. It's not something that you'd store large amounts of money on I wouldn't think.
1353  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-28] Bosch-Blog: Bitcoin - Enabler for the IoT? on: June 28, 2015, 06:28:34 PM
I suppose these micropayment advances will entice more people to become more knowledgeable of bitcoin and more willing to use it so I guess this is a great update.
1354  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea's New Airport [DPRK] [Pyongyang] on: June 28, 2015, 05:46:55 PM
Kim Jong-un is slowly converting his country to a capitalist one from the old communist version. In cities such as Pyongyang and Pyongsong, a rich elite class (mostly having links to the high ranked political figures) has been emerging for the past many years. This neo-rich accounts for just 5% of the population, and they survive by exploiting the remaining 95% starving citizens.
I wouldn't call it capitalist by any stretch when it's more of an oligarchy of the well connected being allowed to flourish by the top dog as long as they toe the party line. This airport is for show on one hand and on the other, it's obviously meant to enhance tourism from China which is where the only flights come from. Kim is trying his best to dress up Pyongyang for his loyal party elites and, like you say, at the expense of the rest of the population.
1355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 28, 2015, 03:20:18 AM
Paging tarmi and the dumbshit nlc, we appear to have a price malfunction!
Some people love nostalgia so much that they fail to catch on to new trends and this will be their epic tragedy. Hubris runs deep in some in this changing market so there'll be those that get wiped out in such an unbelievable and shocking fashion. Tarmi will get smoked like a joint coming up if he don't come down off his high horse and get with the new program.
1356  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 28, 2015, 03:02:22 AM
Sure everybody in greece wont flock to bitcoin.  But some people WILL put some wealth there.  In a year we might look back at this as the catalyst that started a bull run.  Already started at $220ish a couple weeks ago really.

Maybe very slow, very shallow rally? I hope? One thing for sure, (in my mind at least)  the year-long downtrend is over.

Now expecting many months of the sideways...

I'm predicting we'll stay in this range for the rest of the summer at least...

No way bro, we be going up from here and out of this range for sure. Now is the time to go all in for the moonshot that is coming. Shit is about to get real serious up in here.

Silbert made a good decision on this one yet again to rake in profits. An exchange and a further remittance business is the way to go at this point. This was a win on many points.
1359  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-0625] IBT: Payments dinosaurs face off Bitcoin technology threat on: June 27, 2015, 03:32:31 AM
What they have in their corner is that most people have credit cards for a reason and obviously that is to spend what they don't currently have until a certain date or beyond. This mindset is hard to coincide into what bitcoin can do for people as you'd need to buy/earn your currency first and spend it or save it later, for these types. Many of these types aren't tech knowledgeable nor are savers/investors to begin with so they aren't concerned with anything besides the ease of payment and whether it's worth it to them to pay with via a discount as an incentive.
1360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminals/thieves/hackers who have been tracked via the blockchain? on: June 27, 2015, 02:40:31 AM
This low rate of these bastards getting actually caught is what the aspiring rip-off artists take solace in as they develop their plan of attack. Coin mixing is a mixed bag as they allow some people arrange what they plan to pay in taxes but then offer the lowlifes opportunities to make use of their spoilage when they reappear in their next safety zone.
