1341  Economy / Economics / Re: World has just ten weeks' worth of wheat left after Ukraine war on: May 23, 2022, 06:46:48 PM
Not sure if this is worrying thing because world is big, so many counties are out there who farm wheat and can get opportunity to export from their lands. If time comes then definitely those countries who are not in export business will have this opportunity and they should start doing business like this.

Moreover, if the shortage is so prominent then they will start searching for alternatives right from this date. That management is always there back of the mind of government and management team. Hope so these things do not escalate to the war situation.
1342  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 23, 2022, 06:58:10 AM
The market is unpredictable, and it's hard to predict the BTC price this time. Honestly, I probably won't be placing any bets on the BTC price this month, although it looks like bitcoin has been consolidating around $30k for over 9 days now, and there is a chance that the BTC price may rise to the range of $32.5k-$35k by the end of the month.
Bitcoin price went down unexpectedly at the first half of this month. The price was too much volatile at the moment. But now it is showing a bit stability around the $30k price range. I haven't placed any early bet as the movement of BTC price was hard to determine. I was waiting for the last day to place my bets. Bitcoin price betting option will be closed after 34 hours. I just placed 3 bets on different price range. I placed my bets on 25k to 30k, 30k to 32.5k and 32.5k to 35k price ranges. Currently the outcome odds are above 3× for those price ranges. It will be profitable for me if I win any of those bets.

I bet too early so that I can enjoy time wager but soon after the prices went down rapidly. There were odds and ranges, which were very normal but now look at it, the prices are so reluctant now that no one gonna enjoy the winning. Rarely there were some people (surprise surprise) who had put the bets on such low prices, wondering how they got the gut feelings like. Because at the time it was too much less possible to bet on that range. But obviously they have high odds now, very high multipler since it was impossible price range.  Cheesy
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / $1.6 billion dollars turned to $2,200 - The Luna effect on Binance Assets on: May 23, 2022, 04:08:41 AM
It’s breath taking to see how Binance the worlds most popular crypto exchange had to suffer losses not in millions but billions of dollars!

Binance had an address where at the peak price Luna were sent adding up 15 million LUNA on binance. These were around 1.6 billion dollar worth before the month Luna dropped to almost cents.

Binance CEO, Zhao however still not worried much considering his net worth still stands at around $14 billion.

In his tweet, he shares funny meme and says “Poor again”, with picture of terrified guy. Lolz.

I am not sure how Terra will help Binance, but CEO Zhao requested the project team to compensate the Binance users for this down turn.

Quote
Changpeng Zhao, the founder of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, tweeted a few days ago that he was “poor again” after losing billions of dollars in cryptocurrency following a market crash, which wiped out the fortunes of many investors. The exchange's assets in the cryptocurrency Luna fell to just $2,200 from $1.6 billion, at the token's peak price, a month before. In a tweet, Zhao claimed that Binance held 15 million Luna tokens, which the exchange had obtained in exchange for a $3 million investment in the Terra network, which Luna is founded on. The Luna tokens were “never moved or sold,” he added.

Luna's fall began when TerraUSD, its sister coin, lost its peg to the US dollar. The two tokens' prices are linked. When the price of TerraUSD dropped, investors raced to sell their holdings. The price of Luna was pulled down by the drop in TerraUSD.

Despite the crash and the fall in the price of Luna, Zhao has a net worth of around $14.9 billion, as of Sunday, according to Bloomberg. His estimated 70 percent stake in Binance accounts for the majority of his wealth, stated a Forbes report.

In another tweet, Zhao urged the Terra team to make reimbursing its retail investors top priority. He wrote, “To lead by example on protecting users, Binance will let this go and ask the Terra project team to compensate the retails users first, Binance last, if ever.”

Terra Luna has dropped 99.15 percent in the last few days, according to Binance data. It has a market cap of $924.99 million.

Daniel Shin and Do Kwon founded Terra Luna, a blockchain technology that uses fiat-pegged stablecoins, in January 2018. The token was first made accessible to investors in a private token sale in August 2018, raising a huge $32 million from investors including Binance, OKEx, and Huobi.

Zhao founded Binance, which has grown to become the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by daily trading volumes. Binance's daily average volume is over two billion, with over 14 lakh transactions per second. It provides cryptocurrency trading help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
1344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is also a currency, why is its unit so different from the commonly used on: May 23, 2022, 03:10:05 AM
Yup everyone has that adrenaline of possessing one full coin. Just like mk4 stated, it’s easy to say I have 100 hundred doge or 1 doge. Even in case of decimal bitcoin everyone keeps calling it bitcoin because that’s what makes it everyone easier to understand. Micro, sats, are just being words these days.

May be due to decimal conversions and little difficult understanding of fiat conversion makes it difficult to use word sats. For example, give me $0.0003 in bitcoin?
1345  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanction isn't the right option on: May 22, 2022, 04:07:04 PM
By the way, you did not answer my question like that - and what happened from your forecasts about May 15-20, from the area of the "new cycle of calculations"? Have there been new payers in rubles? Smiley
Again you are in too much of a hurry, there is a deadline for payment and there is a standard five-day grace period. We can definitely say that Europe as a whole is now not in a position to refuse Russian gas, so all Putin's demands will be met. It seems only Finland is ready to join Bulgaria and Poland, all other countries will pay.

It’s complicated and it’s getting more complicated as the sanction holds on. Just think guys, if sanctions kept forever like this, and eventually the countries started to ran out of gas would they be surviving easily? I barely doubt that will stand for long terms. Other countries like Africa and some parts of Europe does not have enough gas production and resources to fill the hunger forever. They will have to get into it eventually and accept the terms. There are seasons like rain and cold when gas is required at highest levels. So who knows for how long these things will work out.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna CEO summoned by lawmakers on: May 22, 2022, 03:40:30 PM
Hidden games? Come on man, definitely they did something very very spurious to make Luna go down to such worst levels. They definitely planned it, made exit correctly when it was bearish everywhere and secured all the funds they could. It’s nothing but big scam of all times. They just looted people in swiftest way possible and made it look like market crash. If there is anyone here who thinks that this was not accident or conspiracy then definitely they are in the dark side of moon.
1347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could inheriting Bitcoin from love ones be that difficult? on: May 22, 2022, 01:48:07 PM
I don't think there's an alternative to just leaving access to your keys; at least right now. Don't just leave the keys though, probably have a simple written instructions if your brother/mother/wife/etc doesn't know how to import keys into a new device and things like that.

A certain ethereum wallet called Argent has this "social backup" feature that is quite interesting (it's pretty much something like a multisig, but idk how it works at the back-end), but I'm not too much of a fan of.

That’s interesting they already started working on something like this. Though it feels like they have not made this so called Argent feature out of family to family pass on feature. I still think that writing up the private keys and having back  ups with your close blood relation that is mother father or bro-sis has got no harm at all. Obviously that entirely depends on how your relationships have been. If no trust then just write up the codes with your lawyer in a will and stay safe. With the crypto currency’s gaining value everyone these  days started to posses one so this would be easier in the near future to circulate around the family.
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hope for projects building on Terra? on: May 21, 2022, 07:55:57 PM
On chain upgrade means addition of new contracts and agreement with the other party (in this case Maya) or anyone whose willing to support the sufferer projects. The problem is they will need to invest heavily in those contracts and transferring of data, patching the projects with chain and putting the previous tokenomics with new one is tedious work. I mean for these previous devs it would be better to start from scratch with same ideas rather than doing those things above.
1349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is everyone that got in late last year in the red now ? How bad is it ? on: May 21, 2022, 07:49:05 PM
I’m yet to calculate whether I’m doing right or wrong with my investment because I have those multiple entry and exit trades and accumulated the bitcoins over the time. Though it’s not much, but investment is around 4-5k USD, more or less it’s accumulation from my part time job savings, little trades, and now these days getting bucks from signature campaigns. So every time I have invested it’s different price range. Not sure if I’m entirely in green or not but since I’m gonna hold it for long terms I believe it’s less worrying right now.
1350  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: I created a website to visualize your Bitcoin holdings value over time on: May 21, 2022, 09:59:01 AM
1) Go to https://hodlbitcoin.vercel.app
2) Insert your current Bitcoin holdings
3) Click "generate chart" button

Thanks to this tool I can see that my holdings for which I have paid thousands of $$$ were worth only a few hundred a few years before lol Smiley

Good one. Played little here and there. The tool does not work on safari browser somehow. I mean the chart is not showing up. I inserted the amount and it shows how I have turned my 20 bucks to almost 1500 bucks since 2014 year to 2022. I assume this is just pre-loaded data that means it won't be calculating the value in the near future, and that would be like prediction calculator rather than valuator based on past data.

A small bug I found: 1 BTC is not considered a valid amount for some reason. I can type 2, 3, etc. but typing 1 without the decimal will keep the button disabled.
[...]
> Could there be way to calculate for before 2015?
The first data point at this moment is from 23 February 2014 but I'll try to obtain more old data somehow. Cheers, mate.

Thats the point here, its based on the available data. For future presentations you may just showcase some rough cycles of price increase? That would be fun tool to play around. As each day passes the data can be corrected and real values could be shown.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginner-bitcoin smarter on: May 21, 2022, 06:36:05 AM
There are deceptive sites of same address which means it could be harmful to even try it out. There are already sites with hyphen and dash with same address so it’s definitely made with clear mindset of luring people. Moreover the name is also very funny, what does it even mean bitcoin smarter? Would have been easy to understand if its Smart Bitcoiner. Lolz. Just be normal mate, have trusted sources to store, exchange, transact and use bitcoin rather than going for anything like this. It’s unknown, there no single positive comment about it.
1352  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Coin Flip Telegram Bot - provably fair %0.5 house edge on: May 21, 2022, 05:36:01 AM
This is really for the first time I am looking at games which are played in telegram and that too by paying and getting paid kinda stuff! That’s dope for me. How these things work man? I’m impress how they have everything connected these days through social networks, in app chat windows and linking all those LN together. Any thoughts from experts how this works and is it worth trying?

Definitely easy to play in app game but there should be vouch from someone experienced before we can risk our money. Interesting though.
1353  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to proper trade in you asset in this market situation? on: May 20, 2022, 05:41:11 PM
The market is below its average rate until now which means most of the coins are down by 50-60% from the original value. This isn’t great at all and there is no person who could easily say they are in profit unless and until they have bought the crypto at the lower prices than the current market. The chances are low unless and until you are long term holder and had bought crypto few years back. If not, then judging by current positions let’s not sell our crypto. If enough funds available then try to increase the coins and create BEP lower than the current one.
1354  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Influential Social Networks on: May 20, 2022, 05:12:47 PM
Now we need influencers who can convince investors to buy again so as to make the price of bitcoin rise again or not drop below $ 30k, the current Bitcoin price is very worrying because it is in the range of $ 30k, if there is no concrete action from influencers then the market will continue red.

Your taking it little wrong way mate. Social media isn’t helping with that for sure. All the influencers out there have limited out reach and not everyone is connected with like minded people! That’s fact obstacle one and second is most important, social media is fake shit and only delivers negative stuff about crypto most of the time to attract audience get benefited through advertising partners.

Crypto currency’s do not require such action. It’s entirely based on willingness, anyone can hop in and go out. It’s free will not influencing based deal.
1355  Economy / Economics / Re: Cooperative investing between small investors on: May 20, 2022, 05:01:11 PM
Partnerships are good to boost your “volumetric” investment but when it comes to profits it will get shared equally and very much equals to what you would earn in individual investment. The only positive thing is it’s little extra sometimes and you share the risks of investment equally. For example, mutual funds investment. Brokers pull in huge number of investors, use their money to invest into share market and returns the x% at the maturity.

However, if you going to pull the job by yourself then make sure you have proper agreements, equal shares and everything handy so that you won’t end up into trouble at the end of story.
1356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet The Bolt Card, an NFC-enabled Lightning card on: May 19, 2022, 03:54:40 PM
Definitely interesting card but not the first one to get on to the market. Things are so fast in the crypto space, always upgrading at an alarming rates. Below OP itself I see fellow members talking about another companies who has launched similar cards. It’s unfortunate that there is no direct spending of bitcoin via blockchain, and the reason seems to be the one explained by @NotATether. There is always middle settler because the tech is not advance enough to cash out from banks to Client. Only positive thing is, we get to spend our cryptos.
1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN AS A LEGAL TENDER on: May 19, 2022, 01:22:53 PM
Please I ask the forum do you think Bitcoin can be installed as a means of legal tender in advance county like CHINA, USA , ENGLAND, JAPAN etc...

Yes, for as long as it is not the only legal tender of those countries. Otherwise, it is necessary that a complete paradigm shift in finance and economics will have to happen first. I believe that the prevailing financial and economic systems are largely incompatible with the system espoused by Bitcoin. There will have to be a complete process of restructuring.

Seeing it's getting close to it's mining 21million limit

Not really. The 21 million limit will not be reached before the year 2140. That's more than a hundred years from now.

Oh yeah the hundred year period! This is the actual reason why bitcoin's value is rising all the time considering the timeline since it's inception. I mean on a broad spectrum the prices are always rising from scratch up until now. Moreover, the demand will keep rising as more changes occurs in different countries, as they keep adding up legal tenders or at least taxed use of bitcoin in the future.

With the current rate of acceptance and world wide situation of crisis, its hardly going to be accepted by those developed countries. Definitely it will take time, but uncertain. Better live through it now, gain some stash and stay in peace.
1358  Economy / Economics / Re: Homes in 97% of U.S. cities are overvalued, Moody's says on: May 17, 2022, 01:42:50 PM
I think they are trying too hard to make a  point and miss on the essentials.
They focus on a few cases that are over evaluated by ( their scoring) 50% and just between the lines mentioned that large cities are usually just 10% over evaluated, and most of them are missing from that fancy map. It's a bit misleading o focus on 30k population towns and ignore metro areas in the size of millions, if you look at the map White Plains is just 7% over and Oakland is 6% why not tell the numbers on the latest metropolis? Maybe because it's less spectacular than any research needs to be right now.

That aside, the US population in 2000 was 282,2 million now is 329,5 million a growth of 47,3 million, that's nearly New York and Texas combined, but only around 1 million houses per year were built on average in the last decade, so what do you expect? And let's not forget it's always one house per family, some have much more than that.

The numbers! Yeah, way important than just crunching the theories I see. Ideally, growth of 47 million in population means that much houses to be added but as you said its also family so cut it down by 1/3rd considering 2 or 4 child per houses. There is still plenty of space to live. With big towers being built around I think most of the cost cut downs there itself as its community run which lowers the property maintenance cost by sharing.

On the other hand when it comes to individual houses, they take up the huge space and spread across large area of land so the cost is supposed to up for those properties. So recollecting, the number might be wrong or they have just put forth theory which they want in market.
1359  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 17, 2022, 12:13:15 PM
For today in 12 PM European time there is a 5x more reward points per roll which is a really good opportunity for people who love to gamble as they get not 1 but 5 reward points for just 500 Satoshi wagered and this is a great opportunity to increase the reward points, beside that we get those "worthless" lottery tickets and we can even get Golden tickets if we wager long enough.Personally I am trying with 55.000 Satoshi and with a multiplier like x17-x23 in wagered amount should net some nice RP together with a couple of Golden Tickets.

Thats huge multiplier I guess. I am trying the multiplier so that I can keep up the base reward race to the highest, though premium membership benefits me for that "least" base price I want to increase it to the free etc upto 113 satoshi per hour. God knows how much needs to be wagered before I can hit that goal.

I am not sure if 17 x 23 are really working for you? Here whenever I am putting the multiplier to 2x, I keep loosing most of the time. Lolz. Im really playing low like in the window of 1.20 to 1.45x because that has some winning chances.

Hopefully in the contest section I will hit 0.005 wagered soon and get a GT and win with purest luck later. All the hopes out there pal Wink

Game Providers
Fairspin works with well-known game providers for your pleasure.
1x2, Betsoft, Big Time Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, Booming, Booongo, Caleta Gaming, EGT, ELK, Endorphina, Evoplay, Gamomat, Golden Hero, Green Jade, Habanero, Hacksaw Gaming, Indi Slots, Kalamba, Games, Microgaming, Nolimit City, OneTouch, Oryx Gaming, PGSoft, Play'n Go, Playson, Pragmatic Play, RedTiger, Relax Gaming, Spinomenal, Spribe, Tangente, Thunderkick, Tom Horn, iSoftBet

Impressive collection of the game providers. Loving the fact that they have taken huge efforts to organise all of them under one roof.

However, as part of site testing, it took lot of time to ping on laptop. Im sure my internet connection is fast enough. Is it really me or the site itself slower to load?
As usual I am big fan of Play'nGo, Pragmatic play so there is much more fun to play with these providers considering the RTP is 97% or around it. Gives fair chance to casino as well as players too.

Might try out Triple Cherry Clash for $4000, looks interesting.  Grin
