541  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: March 31, 2023, 05:46:02 PM
This is just so fun reading all these quotes. I did not even know such thread existed in the gambling section. This should be more often bumped and shown to every user. So looking at the history it seems that many big players are involved in gambling to such extent that they have been popular along with the quotes. Few of them eye catchy and few of them literally teaching many lessons about it.

I searched on Google and found many interesting quotes, however, this one caught my attention, because it is simple, short and it is something I believe we all can agree on. I am leaving the name of webpage where I found this quote, in case any of you want to check it out.

Quote
"This was my first lesson about gambling: if you see somebody winning all the time, he isn't gambling, he's cheating. ” – MALCOLM X

This one particularly is real awesome. I never seen myself winning in streaks and obviously that matches the above quote for sure. No one can win games one after another. Wink
542  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: March 31, 2023, 04:59:22 PM
As much as i dont want to say it, unfortunately the government does play a role in poverty eradication!!!

Why do i say so , well the govt is in charge of policing which affects the economy generally and translates into either well paying jobs meeting minimum wages and also helps in setting the tone of employment ,  the govts involvement also helps bring down inflation which helps fix price of goods and service's which trickle down to the citizenry and the ability to afford them or not.

Btw i dont know about other countries but the government is the biggest employer in most countries and if its not employing it means more people will be out in the street's jobless trying to survive if poverty doesnt get to them first but in this modern technology its important to equip ourselves with extra skills to survive.

There are many thoughts on this one. Considering the population, the literacy rate in the country, infrastructure, and people's voting towards good government can make big difference. If a country is hosting a government body which has very poor co-ordinated people then definitely they won't good for the country. Poverty is not the definition of money actually, it's all about how literate people are. If the literacy rate increases then definitely employment changes, people start earning money as per their skills and increase their wagers over the period of time.

So if any country promotes education at its best then they will develop. The government will also receive a handsome amount of revenue in return considering 99% of people are working class. Thus, they can focus on other stuff like national infra, more educational institutes, higher research, and much more.
543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHERE DOES THE PROFITS FROM? on: March 31, 2023, 03:30:24 PM
First of all, do not add "hashtag" everywhere because that is not going to be helpful considering we are on the SMF which does not support hashtagged. Just leave it as it is OR you can bold or underline the important words you want everyone to read about.

Well, what I understand from your post is, you trying to work the math if someone is selling profits then who is buying? Let us understand that the market is full of investors, and volume is always driving because for every investor an entry point could be different all the time. I mean you may think you are in profit and selling at very high prices but for someone, it could be just initial entry or they are just buying because they are long-term whales who keep eating whatever comes in handy.

This is why the market works two ways and if you are selling then someone is always buying. Obviously, it works only in the case of high-volume markets such as bitcoin.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Trump NFT's rolling at $185,783, whooping 461% hike. on: March 31, 2023, 02:06:26 PM
Trump NFT collection was just surfing the dead sea before this year and just recently news came out that in the last 24 hours, it has hiked as much as 461% overnight. Trump is not doing good socially and he broke out with the sentiment that we (the US) as a nation is getting dragged into the third-world nation and all they are doing is political persecution.

This has aggravated the jury a lot and now he has been arraignment for arrest on Tuesday. This might be threatening for the upcoming Trump sales of NFT however the market has reacted really in the opposite way.

The collection had a price of around 0.145 ETH while just in February the price hiked by 0.64. That was an unrealistic change whatsoever.

“THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRY THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE. IT IS LIKEWISE A CONTINUING ATTACK ON OUR ONCE FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. THE USA IS NOW A THIRD WORLD NATION, A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE. SO SAD!”

Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s NFT collection sales volume rose 461% to $185,783 in the last 24 hours despite a grand jury indictment of March 30.

The NFT collection was involved in 183 sales transactions in the last 24 hours, according to CryptoSlam’s data.

Meanwhile, OpenSea’s data showed that the digital assets saw 459 sales, with its sales volume dropping 41% to 244 ETH during the reporting period.

The uptick in its sales volume was positively reflected in the floor price of the collection, according to crypto data aggregator CoinGecko. According to the data, Trump NFTs’ floor price grew 16% to 0.568 ETH —  roughly $1,019.

The market cap of the NFTs also increased by 16% to 25,560 ETH — $45.88 million.

Trump’s NFTs have enjoyed a starling year as interest in the assets has increased as the year progressed. In 2023, the floor price of the collection went from a low of 0.145 ETH recorded on January 6 to as high as 0.675 on February 13.

Trump responds to indictment
Trump has lashed out at the news of his indictment, calling it a “political persecution,” adding that he cannot get a fair trial in New York.

In a lengthy statement posted on Truth Social, Trump added:

“THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRY THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE. IT IS LIKEWISE A CONTINUING ATTACK ON OUR ONCE FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. THE USA IS NOW A THIRD WORLD NATION, A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE. SO SAD!”

Trump became the first U.S. President to be criminally indicted after a grand jury voted to indict him over a hush money payment made to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election.

The Guardian reported March 31 that the former President is expected to appear for arraignment on Tuesday. The report added that he would be fingerprinted, photographed, and processed for arrest.

545  Economy / Gambling / Rollbit Casino loosing value due to Licensing Ambiguity amongst users on: March 31, 2023, 11:48:11 AM
Just recently news came out regarding Rollbit casino which is popular amongst thousands of users here on the forum as well as outside this community. Rollbit also has its token with the ticker RLB. After the news came in regarding its licensing issues community has been aggravated since then and RLB is losing its value at an alarming rate. The token has fallen by 20% in jus the last 24 hours which is devastating for the Rollbit casino itself.

The reason for the fall is simple, Rollbit has not been able to tell the community freely that they don't have any such issues. This has created ambiguity among everyone. This might be making everyone leave the casino and sell their RLB tokens if any.

This also makes us think that factual analysis of the company matters a lot when it is listed on the exchanger and could impact the pricing in long run.

All they have to say is their license is on annual period however its still unclear if they have it running or not.

Quote
Rollbit says Curaçao authorities are currently engaged in an annual license review, which is why its logo is removed from the site.

Crypto casino Rollbit says it hasn’t received any indication from authorities that its “operation are problematic,” however traders are not convinced and are selling the platform's RLB token.
CoinGecko data shows that RLB is down 20% in the last 24 hours, or 37.5% over the last two weeks.
Crypto Twitter has noticed that Rollbit has removed information pertaining to its license from Curaçao, a Dutch Caribbean island off the coast of Venezuela, which is known to be an offshore hub for online gambling.

Rollbit recently began to offer crypto derivatives trading, which is not covered by its current license. Some users have noticed that information pertaining to crypto derivatives is hidden until the user logs in.
“We are actively communicating with our licensor about the renewal and will provide an update as soon as possible,” Rollbit said in a Twitter update. “Although this is typically an internal process, we recognize the importance of transparency in such a crucial aspect of our business.”

Today our community raised some concerns regarding our license status, which we're addressing below.

- Our license is currently in its annual renewal period, a standard procedure for Curaçao-licensed platforms like ours.

- We are actively communicating with our licensor about…— Rollbit (@rollbitcom) March 31, 2023

The online casino said it has implemented minor user interface changes based on their licensor's recommendations, which it claims is a common request during the renewal period.

546  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 30, 2023, 06:57:24 PM
Okay, guys so I have 500 RP's now and I need your opinion on whether I should be rolling them or not. The reward is dropped drastically considering the prices are rising for bitcoin and it means for every WOF I will lose that much amount of RP/Sat. I am not willing to get any GT or LT because for me that's really useless and never works. Even if I earn more than millions of tickets then also I won't win LT so that's out of the question. So now I want to ask, whether I should roll or should I wait for the bitcoin to dump again so that reward can go boom one more time. There is another factor that I want to add, whether I should wait until it goes 1000 WOF in my account. It's not greed but its patience and higher reward kinda stuff. Smiley
547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you profitable? on: March 30, 2023, 05:51:55 PM
In trading many people especially online influencers and traders, Are they really profitable? many new people trapped buy listening to those influencers that they say just you need to buy at this line and sell at this line. and whoa! you made profit, They just teaches people basic TA and charge huge amount to learn. but they doesn't share their personal journal or something, they say us that you need to make an journal, do that, do that ,
but they don't share there trades, I really get jealous of that kind of people they say to innocent people that you can make money out of this, and make money selling courses which i very basic that we can learn from a good affordable book.
some traders trade live and share there losses and wins, and after a month they share there total PnL(profit and loss) and they made real profits, (some people say they just share there other account's Pnl , we can't know that)
My question is are your profitable trader and can you share you journal or something ?, many of us will feel motivated.

Many people are doing that and they are just there to increase their followers and subscribers based on the social platform on which they are publishing the content. The problem with today's generation is simple they want to buy more lies than truth and never want to face what is the weakness. Many of them are involved in such activity for quick profits without any better understanding of the same.

If anyone is going to follow just a random reel maker to understand how trading works then damn, that person is gone out of the world for sure. The PNL they are showing is just fake. It could be anything from a demo account to fake-created macros in excel.

Do not believe anything from such social accounts. They can lead you to losses for sure.
548  Economy / Economics / Re: Ditch the Dollar on: March 30, 2023, 04:59:19 PM
China and Russia's alliance can easily form for the sake of friendly nations and also quite a good neighbor when it comes to war. However, I am damn sure that Brazil and Pakistan won't last for very long. In the case of the Brazilian alliance, the US is the biggest obstacle for them and they would be let down by them in no time. When it comes to Pakistan, well what to say about that country, they already have their own issues of daily needs so what kind of alliance they are going to form with China? If they do it they are anyway lowering their own value in the process and if they do it, then they would surpass historical charts against dollar value. The basic needs are so high that people would prefer to die out of hunger but they cant really survive that situation. China is just plotting their next strategy to acquire the land and nothing else.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public Perspective towards Bitcoin on: March 30, 2023, 03:21:14 PM
I can relate to this one with the series and a movie that I was watching last year and suddenly Bitcoin's reference came in. So there are a bunch of FBI staff going around who are looking into drug smuggling and how the payment was made remains a mystery. Sooner FBI find out that they were not able to track the transaction because it was done through Bitcoin.

They also showed that it was next to impossible for them to track from where those bitcoins were sent. They have shown themselves completely confused and reaching a dead end. It was too much more exaggerated scene than what I am explaining here.

So yes they always show bitcoin in negative reference. It should be changed in the course of making such movies/series.

550  Economy / Economics / Hong Kong - Embracing crypto, new acceptance mode, $100 mln raiser on: March 30, 2023, 10:22:50 AM
Well, we have seen a lot of negative news in the crypto sphere for a long time now. So here is little out-of-the-blue good news for our cheer-ups as we move toward the end of the financial year.

After a press release, the Hong Kong fund is set to raise around $100 mln for crypto investment and this is to be done before the 2023 year-end. They have already had success in the year 2022 by raising around $30 mln and thus making themselves one of the positive investors of crypto.

How this fund will be used? Well, it is set to support WEB3-based projects and regimes through their Crypto partner ProDigital Future. "The fund is led by Ben Ng, a partner at Hong Kong-based equity firm SAIF Partners, and Curt Shi, a long-time tech investor from China."

The leader of a fundraiser who is Curt Shi has declared that it won't just help Hong Kong to be more crypto-friendly but also other nations and continents like Australia, Singapore, Europe, and USA. Not only this, but ProDigital Futures is also the biggest investor in the sports and gaming metaverse spaces.

This is some news one can be sure of, it may influence others to invest more in crypto.

Quote
The new Hong Kong-based equity fund will focus on the regional market and embrace Web3 startups.

As Hong Kong is again opening up to the crypto market, local investors are launching a $100 million fund to finance the digital industry. The new fund, ProDigital Future, will aim at early-stage Web3 companies oriented at the regional market.

According to a Bloomberg report from March 30, ProDigital Future has finished its half-year fundraising period with about $30 million in its pockets. However, it plans to raise $100 million by the end of 2023.

The fund is led by Ben Ng, a partner at Hong Kong-based equity firm SAIF Partners, and Curt Shi, a long-time tech investor from China. At this point, Sunwah Kingsway Capital Holdings and Golin International Group have already hopped in to support the fund.

So far, Shi told journalists that the fundraising process has been “relatively smooth,” although the investors are cautious about putting their money into crypto projects. Reportedly, Hong Kong investors and some family offices from China, Australia and Singapore also participated in ProDigital Future.

The fund will “embrace Hong Kong and its policies” but intends to be present in Australia and Singapore, “as well as in Europe and the United States.”

ProDigital Future has already invested in six digital-asset projects with metaverse company GigaSpace and One Future Football, a digital football league from Australia currently operating in stealth mode.

In October 2022, the government of Hong Kong floated the idea of introducing its own bill to regulate crypto. On Feb. 20, Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission released a proposal for a licensing regime for cryptocurrency exchanges, set to take effect in June.

The regime suggests a necessary licensing procedure, demanding that potential market players meet several prerequisites, including the safe custody of assets, Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism regulations.

551  Economy / Economics / Re: Al Transforming Job Market on: March 29, 2023, 07:11:48 PM
I don’t know, but it feels like AI is creating more competition rather than giving us an opportunity to work smarter. Humans will be only of use changing batteries, grease and filling gas in the automated driven robots by AI. We are creating slave master for humans and nothing else. Literally saw one video back in a month that one gas station installed automated robotic hand to fill the cars fuel tank without any human interference. Do you imagine implications of this thing? It’s horrible and could be bad in the future. I’m not saying we should be afraid of AI but the speed at which they are excelling is quiet High. I would still love to do my own chemicals reactions with my hands or an IT guy would love to think and write his own code.
552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: March 29, 2023, 06:55:29 PM
Funny, and true. I don't really think trading is something that you can quickly learn and start earning money from it. To be honest, trading is a nonending learning phase. There are always unintended surprises from bitcoin or altcoin trading. The volatility and unwanted prices at any given time make it very hard to learn the true colors of the crypto trading pattern.

We can not have printed charts and theories in the crypto trading chart view because it is just so unpredictable at any given time. You can pass the test once or twice but not always when it comes to bitcoin trading for example.

So yes, when it comes to newbies or even experienced traders, the learning phase should not be stopped at all.
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is the largest bitcoin miner. on: March 29, 2023, 04:29:19 PM
Ok so OP is old or they do not have updated news (which is really old) that bitcoin mining was banned completely long ago. It’s sad that many of the users do not have updated knowledge base. If China was still contributing to the bitcoin mining at the highest rate then they would have also added more power to it and more higher version would have been in the market to mine it. That’s why it’s sad that china backed out really soon from it. I don’t know just now I read the news that out of rivalry China is now accepting crypto deposits so that more businesses can jump in. I believe in no time we will hear that China has started the mining process again.
554  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: March 29, 2023, 03:33:16 PM
I think what Elon is doing is his business and he might be doing something better for Twitter. If you check the old numbers then Twitter wasn’t doing really great before Elon dynasty. It’s becoming platform of money now and with Elon’s plan to implement paid tweets and premium features of tipping users it could also skyrocket twitters share in no time.

Yes I am also one of the Elon hater but with the time he is doing some shaping to his visions. It takes time to understand him. Though not taking sides we need to go with the flow.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Banks Welcome Cryptocurrency, as the USA cracks down on: March 29, 2023, 02:08:27 PM
That’s a news which calls for civil war. Lolz. China is literally laughing behind the scenes and making perfect strategy to destroy America and show its rivalry against it. Though America and china relations hood in terms of mass production and import-export stuff. Since China has better relations with Russia, they would obviously welcome crypto or any business that can put America in jeopardy. This will put huge impact on American business and other crypto projects. They would not think about it a bit and move their offices towards China land.

On the other hand, we should ask what are you doing America? Stop drinking that old wine and start accepting the new technology otherwise it would take finger snap to vanish the businesses.
556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is more profitable trading ETH/USD or ETH/BTC on: March 28, 2023, 06:15:11 PM
For me it’s crypto/fiat pair always. It gives quicker insights about how much I am gaining and losing over a trade. How quickly can you calculate if it’s crypto to crypto pair? It will take time and market is such high volatility it could change its course at anytime.

Moreover, always consider one important factor here, understand which pair has best VOLUME.
If you are trading then volume plays important role in executing your trade and giving you that buy or sell order. If no volume then you could end up with losses for sure due to that poor wait time.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mixing is NOT money laundering, per se on: March 28, 2023, 04:20:42 PM
That was definitely a bad incident with ChipMixer and it should have been handled in a better way by the owners actually. There were many justifications available for the same but unfortunately, the case was appealed strongly by juries. I think they should have clearly mentioned how crypto works and how money (fiat) works. Though there were many grounds such as, virtual currencies not being fiat they are just mixing up a bunch of encrypted data and giving away fresh encrypted and more protected data etc.

I am not sure if such grounds are valid in the court or not but with such a big mixer with that much money they should have hired the best lawyer in the US>

In many countries, it could have been based on protection against the data by adding more security such as mixing and creating anonymous fresh data sets. I don't think it was money laundering at all.
558  Economy / Economics / Re: Is some certain lifestyle a waste of money and time ? on: March 28, 2023, 03:10:20 PM
Ahh, now I get why I love this forum! Because everyone here is like-minded and do not really go waste their money just on anything. Off course, its a waste of money if you gonna eat out in a diner every day and also put money on alcohol. They will end up putting more money in their Hospital Bills after a few years and I am not talking about old age, but very soon looking at the current behavior patterns. That's really funny and also very costly affair for sure.

I think they do not understand how to manage the expenses or they are living in the delusional lifestyle where they think they have achieved everything.

In reality we never get enough money until the rest of our lives. There is always something coming at every foot step. Be aware and stay away from them.

I think you are doing great at managing your "MONEY".
559  Economy / Economics / Torture Story - Aiden Pleterski who blew millions of dollars from investors on: March 28, 2023, 02:34:28 PM
This is not so good news when it comes to investing your money in the market and also leading controversial companies so that investors can invest huge sums of money.

However, it is always advisable to study what you are doing in the crypto sphere, what kind of life you are living and what is your offering to the world.

This kid, Aiden was just 20+ when he started living a millionaire's dream. He had a collection of Maclaren sports cars, a Lamborghini, and a rented house with a rent of $45,000. That is enough to understand how much he must be earning from his company during his "Teenage".

The mistakes;
He invested a huge amount in crypto without prior knowledge about it.
He just randomly took marginal calls and lost a lot of money.
He lost more than millions of dollars and only invested 1.6% of all the investment that came to his account.

He was kidnapped and tortured by the investors to recover all his money. More than that he also got threats against his family which was literally terrifying.

Interesting read, and a good lesson to take when you are in crypto.

Quote
A self-styled "Crypto King" who allegedly fleeced investors out of millions was kidnapped and tortured, according to explosive court documents.

Aiden Pleterski led a lavish lifestyle and owned McLaren sports cars and a Lamborghini — and even rented a plush waterfront home for $45,000 a month.

He had promised his investor's healthy returns of 7%, but it all came crashing down and he ended up filing for bankruptcy.

It's believed Pleterski, who was 23 when his company went under, was abducted by disgruntled creditors.

Testimony from his father Dragan reveals:

One person that Pleterski was allowed to contact was a man called Sandeep Gupta, his landlord.

Gupta recalled receiving multiple calls late at night from Pleterski, in which he said:

Gupta told him that this would be impossible to arrange — and while he was determined not to pay any money, he wanted to engineer the situation so he didn't come to harm. On a different phone, he began to call 911.

Over the following days, the landlord worked with officers in an attempt to set up a sting meeting and ensure that Pleterski could be brought to safety.

He was later released on the understanding that he would get the cash to his kidnappers as soon as possible — and was warned that interacting with law enforcement would make his situation much, much worse.

Gupta said in his testimony that Pleterski's actions had put him and his family in danger — with random people also visiting the property that the fallen entrepreneur was renting.

Efforts are now underway to recover as much money as possible for Pleterski's victims.

While he has claimed that the money was lost in a series of bad trades and margin calls, he's been accused of blowing millions on his lavish lifestyle. It's estimated that he had only invested 1.6% of the funds he was given. The court filing says:

He allegedly attempted to defend himself by saying he was a "20-something-year-old kid."

Good to see you rolling through the blockchain and bitcoin city! I’m happy that you are telling everything to your wife because thats the right thing to do. Hehe. Well in my case I’m using or got involved in the bitcoin since 6 years. I knew about bitcoin way before that but never dared to invest until I got full confidence in it. It’s a different story that we all have regretted this once ever in our life. I do have plans since 2-3 years and continuously saving bitcoins (Satoshi ideally) and trying to forget how much amount I have in my ledger. This can help me get to my goals quicker. Still far away from owning full bitcoin. Hope so everyone on the forum stays here until we get old and still talk how we did it.
