There aren't that many people on the board who mis-spell "pursue" as "persue"

Stumped! PM me the post you're in reference to.

EDIT: I think I figured it out. WOW!

I didn't correct an error. I answered your question.
Why do you ask questions if you don't want answers?

Uh, where have I indicated I didn't like/want your answer to my question?  I seem to recall THANKING you for your answer, and encouraging you to correct me in the future.  Or am I missing something?

It's a cougar. Bears have very short tails.

Thanks!  I didn't notice the long tail.  But I did notice the cat-like face.

In any case, feel free to follow me around the forum and correct any errors in my posts.  You will surely make me a better...erm, netizen?

Thanks for reading!

Disappointed there is not a bounty :/

Yea! Don't piss off (the) Goat. He's needed to eat the tinfoil hats people leave laying around here.

(I never got involved with Goat's drama, but know enough to add humor at his expense)

For the past six years, I've only watched one show from TV in its entirety and only on the internet--America's Got Talent. All my other free time has been reading, working (not playing), MFC (dot come) research  Wink, etc., online with Bitcoin consuming me for over a year now. That reminds me--I wonder how Sandi Slap is doing with her Bitcoin contest.

SCREW YOU GUYS, I'M GOING HOME!! Wink

I'm not stalking you, but you did say you were going to bed earlier tonight after requesting that 50 BTC borrow/lone. Now you seem to be posting on all sorts of mundane threads. Are you do so to get your post count up? Are you truly new to Bitcoin? Are you related to the author of this thread?

13412  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trendon Shavers - Family Contact made on: September 15, 2012, 06:07:27 AM

The court date is in November and it's a civil case.  There is no "prosecution" because it's not a criminal matter.

I realize y'all are taking this very seriously but I can't resist the urge to request that Judge Judy be requested to precede over this trial. She handles cases in Texas.

For the publicity.

and the lolz.

Only up to $5,000 though.

And I honestly think this whole affair has become beyond ridiculous.  Not to mention the fact that pirate logged in yesterday and has no doubt read all about everyone's plans to harass his family.

Brazen little bastard, ain't he?

I used to live in Houston in the early 90's, and have made several friends, one of which is an (American) Indian, now living only 34 miles from Trendon Shaver's known address. Therefore, Threndon, since you brazenly log on and read the latest, consider this: If you don't make your presence on this forum within 48 hours, and start to do what's right, I'm giving my friend Jake (his real first name) a call. I don't think he'll mind at all driving the distance to see you and both have a beer or two on my dime to discuss the matter at hand face-to-face.

Jake and I once had a bet to see who could carry the most drywall into a commercial building, doing so at four 4' X 12' sheets at a time. He won, and I had to pay for dinner. (I was a supervisor for the largest drywall company at the time, and this was a hot order where the usual stockers were all tied up)

~Bruno~

PS: THIS IS BITCOIN!!! So, Trendon, either come here and face the music and make right, or discuss your options over beer with Jake on my dime. Your call.
13413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins used for voting and the cloaking of said the on: September 15, 2012, 05:43:27 AM
Thanks to Elwar and CIYAM Pty. Ltd., I'll safely assume that this is doable.

The idea I have in mind will be introduced elsewhere, but I do want to say here that it will consist of a popularity contest, where the number of people voting is not tallied, only the amount of coins, with anybody voting as much and as often as they want, with each week the starting number of contestants is halved till we have a winner. (64 or 126 contestants is what I'm currently leaning toward)

The grand prize has to big enough to get maximum participants, say like $1M USD. I'm also looking at a 50/50 split. 50% of the total pool as a grand prize to the winner, and the other 50% split among all those who enter the contest (not the voters, though they could be one and the same) divvied up accordingly to their respected ranking, therefore even the contestant in last past is guaranteed something provided, of course, coins were voted for them.

Rest assure, that if/when this comes to fruition, I will not be in control of, nor have access to, the pool.

Again, this thread is just a preliminary step to make sure that such a voting option was available/doable. Feel free to weigh in some more on this subject so that I can formulate this further in my mind.

13416  Other / Off-topic / I'm looking for a Tennessee whore. on: September 15, 2012, 05:14:13 AM

To understand the title of this thread the linked video, please read on.

Back in the mid 80's while living in Nashville, Tennessee, I had the pleasure of being friends with Steve Eng, the man in the video. He's an author and poet. I'll speak of him in the present tense, for I fear if I search Google, I may learn of his passing and am not ready for that yet, because I've recently learned of another good friend of mine named Steve Bivins (Pass it On on Willie Nelson's Promiseland LP) has passed on.

One day in 1987, I was at the Nashville library downtown conducting research of what, I don't remember. Steve Eng was there, as he probably always was conducting research for some book he's writing. I asked him what he was doing there that day, whereupon he replied, "I'm looking for a Tennessee whore." I looked around the room and replies, "Well Steve, I think you're in the wrong place." He went on to explain that he was conducting research for a fellow author and friend, Ted P. Yeatman, for a book entitled "The Tennessee Wild West". It was to consist of all the people who came from the South, namely Tennessee, and went out West, making a name for themselves. The only character missing to make the book complete was that of some renown Tennessee harlot. Later, I did learn that such a women was found.

Steve Eng was also a songwriter, albeit an eccentric one. I had the pleasure of having him as a guess on many of my shows in Nashville. One song I'll always remember is, "You're Love is Just Like K-Mart, You Got Something for Everyone."

A few lyrics:

Your love is hot and heavy like a pizza home delivered to your door
After one bite, the customer cries for more (sung in a talking style)
If Linda Lovelace needed lessons, you could show her how it's done
You're Love is Just Like K-Mart, You Got Something for Everyone

(bridge)

This song needs a release
And...I...need...a...release...from...my...bodily...tensions (strung out and sung while he banged on his guitar)

Hope you enjoyed this post.

13419  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trendon Shavers - Family Contact made on: September 15, 2012, 03:35:01 AM
I just had the pleasure of having a 10min or so telephone conversation with none other than Theodore (Ted) Shavers, the father of Trendon Shavers and had the opportunity to bring him up to speed on the happenings as of late. After leaving a mesasge or 2 previously, I was finally able to get through to him today.

I informed the elder Shavers that it would be in Trendon's best interests to get back in contact with the community that he has defrauded for the estimated amount of $5 million USD and for Theodore (Ted) to feel free to familiarize himself further on the topic, by searching his son's name on Google, for further reading.

I will be keeping in contact with Ted Shavers (the father), as I explaned to him, it would be senseless for us to file Criminal proceedings if there was a chance to recoup some of the lost funds at this point. although Civil proceedings have been set in motion, which may be cancelled if the participants are left satisfied. He has made it clear to me that Trendon will be getting a call from him immediately and instructed to get back in touch with this community. The contact that I left with his father was donshrents@hotmail.com , although we will be continuing a telephone relationship until this situation comes to an end, regardless of what that end may be.

~DonShrents

I find it ironic because you are the domain registrar of Pirate's sites.

The user Don Shrents is not the (long e) Don Shrents. He's a trusted member of this forum opting to use that moniker for this investigation. (and it's not me, either) A handful of other members on this forum may be able to verify that fact, but I don't know who or how many.

(apologies for the odd titling of this thread, but...)

I'm aware that voting via Bitcoin has been addressed before, but I'm having trouble finding an answer to the question stuck in my head.

Is there a way that Bitcoin can be used to vote via bitcoin deposits on anything (I've something specific in mind), but without the ongoing results be found on blockchain/explorer/etc.?
