13541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next target: 260-270 on: October 01, 2015, 08:33:37 AM
Looks like it's on the rise. I expect 260-270 as the peak of this rise.

My group is thinking over 300.
13542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we entering a bull market again? on: October 01, 2015, 08:32:49 AM
I think we're going into a bull market. What do you think? Smiley

Yes we are.  It's already starting as a matter of fact.  It's a good time to start buying.

Have to agree something is brewing and my guess is we are about to enter a bull market but the question is how long? lol

Buy now and find out.  Wink
13543  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are possible scenarios for the block halving? on: October 01, 2015, 08:32:08 AM
What things could happen with the btc price when the block halving occurs? will the price go down due to miners cashing out? or will the block chain slow down due to miners shutting off their mining equipment? will the price go up because of less daily bitcoin created? what will likely happen?

Miners would have to sell more as the rewards are less to maintain their operations.
13544  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happened to all the old timers? on: October 01, 2015, 08:31:12 AM
Sorry if this is the wrong sub forum to post this.
Wondering where they went...I used to lurk around here and it was easy to simply ignore the shills on both ends and obtain some real wisdom.
Now it seems like overwhelming majority either bought at $800+ and are mad about it, or they fall into 2 catagories of extremist thoughts ie;moon or failed experiment. I'm long...guess I'm a bull"tard" lol (who's the genius that came up with that moniker)? and I don't trade. For a few years now, I buy small and slow...would really like to hear from some of the jedis I used to see here. Did they all stop visiting, or did they get tired of meaningless posts declaring fate of btc to be either dead or best thing since sliced bread?
I just read through the speculative board and I see wonderful topics that, if discussed like intelligent adults, would really be beneficial to the entire community. But those (very relevent) topics are plauged with nonsense. How is an old Bulltard like myself supposed to learn anything new?
Bah...guess I really DO sound old, huh? Go ahead and clown on my post but please, if anyone knows where the new playground is...help me out and link me up.
Ty for listening.

The old timers are laughing all the way to the bank.
13545  Economy / Speculation / Re: poll: will there ever be another run-up ? on: October 01, 2015, 08:29:27 AM
almost two years of decline; confidence is down; sentiment is loooow

what are you currently thinking about the possibility of another major run-up of btc prices ? are you losing your faith, or are you not worried at all ?

Of course there is.  Anything traded in a public exchange always has a chance of a run up.

13547  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you trade based off emotions? on: October 01, 2015, 08:27:23 AM
To the poll; have emotions influenced your trading decisons before?  I'm curious to see how many if us have fallen for our own mind games. Do not look at it from the lens of now. But think back to the time and try and figure out if it was an panicked choice, or a logical one.

Did you sell while the prices were falling from the ATL because of panic? Did you buy LTC at 30 dollars? Try and differentiate between sound choices and pure emotional speculation. This may be a good thread for people to reflect and see if they are making their trades wisely or not. Although someone's best logical choices might be worse than someone's best emotional choices.

Always.  I love revenge trading.  It makes me a lot of manies.

How is it possible to squander $18 millions ?

13549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: September 30, 2015, 02:41:48 PM
It was my mum's birthday yesterday. And I wanted to buy a birthday cake for her, but when I reached the bread shop, I realized I forgot carrying my wallet and I had only a few bucks in my pocket.  I tried to talk to the boss of the shop if I can pay by bitcoin, to my surprise, she said YES and finally I paid the cake by bitcoin.  Grin

This is my first time to use BTC as real money buying a real physical goods.

As a bitcoiner, using BTC online is very common.  Have you ever used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods?  plz share your experience.   Wink

Does the Silk Road count?  I also miss DPR's posts.  I hope someone else holds and carries the mantle.

13553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Ship sinking!!!! on: September 30, 2015, 05:41:54 AM
True.  But it's still going down.  What does that tell you?

That USD is going up?

Or the people are dumping?
13554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What 2.0 Currency will be the most successful? on: September 30, 2015, 05:40:53 AM
Hard to say without being biased.

I am biased because I see real work going on daily behind the scenes with amazing devs and real connections being made outside of the cryptosphere.  NEM

Exactly.
13555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Overleveraged buffoon creates biggest Mexican standoff in Altcoin history on: September 30, 2015, 05:39:04 AM
Maybe he's "revenge trading".

He doesn't know how any of these coins work and thought the price just went up for no reason and shorted it.  He doesn't know the price will probably be stable somewhere between 0.00003000 to 0.00009000 after BTS 2.0 release and thinks he can actually just stall the market here until he wins.

That's not a sure thing.  This is trading first and foremost, and one thing I learned thru experience is nothing is a sure thing in trading.

13556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If using cryptocurrencies become a crime, will you be a criminal? on: September 30, 2015, 05:31:11 AM
So If using cryptocurrencies become a crime, will you be a criminal AND use it?

Note: Before you reply remember  CIA/FBI/NSA/South-park/...   Grin

I see it the same as smoking weed.  It's all in the legal gray area bitches.
13557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if it became reversible like paypal? on: September 30, 2015, 05:17:00 AM
Would you still use and believe in bitcoin if it became reversible, say if satoshi himself managed the disputes like paypal does?
Will you quit?

I'm getting tired of the statements that it can't be done, its a hypothetical situation and I'm asking for your reaction , please bother to read the posts before you post

No idea where this is headed.  Please expain because your hypothetical situation is just too stupid to give a comment to.
13558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's biggest scourge on: September 30, 2015, 05:11:47 AM
Bitcoin's biggest scourge is 'cypherpunk anarchists' idiots who are anti-establishment.  All these banks are putting serious effort and money into building on this great invention - and they totally disown the idiots who might be characterized as cypherpunks.  http://www.coindesk.com/citi-hsbc-partner-with-r3cev-as-blockchain-project-adds-13-banks/   Bitcoin needs to carefully get rid of the morons who keep blowing the anti-society anti rules horn.  What a stupid end to a great invention.

Is bitcoin really dead?  Did the cypherpunk kill bitcoin?

Wow.  You got it backwards dude.  Without them, there would be no Blockchain.  Satoshi could even be part of that elite group for all we know...  Aight?
