If almost all the coins leave the exchanges, is it time to start referring to bitcoins by a smaller unit?

Maybe. What do you call your small unit?

The Whale.

DDOS attack on bitcoinity epic failed !

They forgot to DDoS bitcoinwisdom. Tongue

DDOS on bitstamp.

Yawn.  Cool

Most of us were inoculated against DDOS panic last April.

What's even more shocking is the level of support above $215 (unless those are fake buy walls of course :p).

Aren't walls always fake? If I've learned anything from my years in bitcoins, it's that all walls everywhere are fake.

Walls are simultaneously fake and real, until observed. Then they become one or the other, depending on the testing conditions.

This is called Quantum Speculation. It's science, bro.

Schrödinger's wall.

Now can you explain again how and why we are going to see single digits again?

Well, it's simple really. Lots of traders will quickly sell lots of coins.

*edit*

And plz just stfu and leave me alone. I'm high and enjoying the show. You should too.

Wow the Volume in China is really picking up, what is driving the market over there?

Zero trade fees and strong incentive to trade with oneself (earns shares). Total sham.

I predict a BIG CRASH IN 24hours

Weak troll-sauce, stfu.

You need to explain why, in exquisite detail with infallible logic.

Otherwise, attention = undeserving.

Bitstamp is down...

"A" for effort sir.  That's what counts.

You've been wrong quite a lot these days

The gods are angry with me and have been manipulating time to make me look like a fool.

*edit*

Once those drama queens calm down a bit, you will see that I am always right.

^this (inability to withdraw btc) could cause panic selling if it becomes widespread.

BTC withdrawal delays on Gox have been reported every now and then for a long time now. IIRC the official explanation long ago was that that's how their system is set up. A relatively small hot wallet or something, maybe.

Which is why I said "if it becomes widespread."

almost 17m bid depth

What is total bid depth on all exchanges and how does it compare to last April?

Looks like they are talking about 51% attack and blockchain forking, without actually understanding what they talk about...

No, it's not a 51% attack. But similarly, it does depend on miners doing something that will eventually hurt their own investment.
1377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 04, 2013, 06:31:29 PM
News and arrests of market manipulators could cause the next major crash if it turns out they really are responsible for 90+% of the trades and current price.
1378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 04, 2013, 06:27:16 PM
walsoraj and bears, now you have grounds to predict an imminent crash:

Selfish miners gonna kill bitcoin , In USD we trust  Wink

Bitcoin Researchers: You Can Game the System

http://mashable.com/2013/11/04/bitcoin-cornell-researchers/

I don't think this will cause a crash. The vulnerability has been around, and known, for a long time.

What exactly is this rally running on right now?

Fake volume in china by all the criminals who fled FINCEN registered exchanges.

This bubble will inflate further and burst even louder than the last one.
I doubt the 'criminals' you say will actually move fiat, so FinCEN is irrelevant..

Makes sense for them to try to do so in another country. Also, they have an incentive to inflate the exchange prices even when selling off-exchange.
so what are you telling me here? crash incoming? when should i sell, oh prophet Walsoraj?

You should sell all your coins to me for $1.

 Cool Cool Cool
