1361  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: December 29, 2016, 08:37:49 PM
in my country there are services that accept Bitcoin. You can pay utility bills and to pay for internet. But, I do not do that, because I think is now stupid to spend their Bitcoins when the price for it is growing.

This thinking of people like yours makes Bitcoin as a profitable assets just like gold. Why should we pay using Bitcoin when it's price is growing we should hold it assuming it is gold and sell this gold when price is very high.

I use Bitcoins as a fiat currency and not holding fully 40% of my bitcoin earning i keep for future investment and balance i convert it to fiat currency to meet may family expenses. and i think how much we use it that much the value of bitcoin will rise
1362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: December 29, 2016, 04:37:19 PM

Conclusion: Are you disappointed in trading? Well those who currently make loads of money from trading were once disappointed at some time in their careers. Those whose marriage is now successful were at one time, frustrated by their spouse. But these people, for example, profitable traders (as well as happily married persons), looked for solutions to their problems and apply those solutions faithfully. That doesn’t mean they’re luckier or better than others: that means they’re able to overcome the causes of frustrations and disappointment in their careers.

There is no doubt that this is the big difference between losers and winners: the mental strength to overcome defeats and use them as motivation to move forward. It is true that sometimes success requires a certain amount of knowledge and good luck, but persistence and discipline are invaluable at this point.

For me trading is not all about knowledge, because you require good luck. 99% luck, 1% knowledge, unless you are an insider(which is illegal, by the way). Also having capital is important as well. If you have capital, you are the one moving the markets. If you don't have capital though then you are being moved by the markets. If you want to make profit you can't just start off with $20. You need way more than that.

No way, may be your trading experience will change from us, but you know especially in trading we mustily need knowledge and information than luck will help us, It is not gambling where we can play without strategy and knowledge, and 99% luck work for us. It is trading, and my trading experience talk me, knowledge and information can matter.
99% luck 1% lknowledge?I would really strongly disagree on this matter since trading is not the same on gambling that requires 99% luck.Lets say your lucky on gambling but you do have only 1% knowledge on it therefore those luck of yours would be useless since you cant utilize your trades because of lack of knowledge.

I agree with your point that trading is just like sports betting where you can analysis and if play properly with rules and patience then you can be in profit. but in casino and dice gambling you definitely need 99% luck and 1 % knowledge
1363  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Assistance required regarding exporting keys on: December 29, 2016, 04:32:55 PM
3. I don't think there's a way to do that.

2. Wallet > Private keys > Export.

1. You can't export all public keys but there's a way to get all of them, and that is by opening the wallet file in a notepad (you'll have to remove the password). The public keys are listed inside. If you don't know where the wallet files are just press CTRL+O and copy the directory.

Ya what you told is correct on one shot you cannot copy all wallet private keys and public keys. and even the wallet address are changing on each transaction so i dont think that you wont be needing the empty address which are left unused.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FAME][LAUNCHED]famecoin - viral photo sharing on Blockchain with tippings. on: December 29, 2016, 04:17:39 PM
Price of famecoin is terrible , what you think in any future price going up or ..?

electronicash already answered your question:

I don't think the dev will either deliver the project intended too after all no one knew him and until someone publish his name here, he will not come here to depend himself and promise to deliver the platform at once. sooner we will all forget about famecoin.

The project can have the best potential actually, knowing that its the social media time andthat people are all in the social media sites sharing whatever happens in their lives and these includes photos.

This project however seem not pushing through. The next time we see someone or a dev team offering the same concept, lets ask for beta platform to ensure they are all in.

Well the app is not due out till the 2nd week of January so we shall see.

Dont think that app release will influence in any way for price change it will perhaps do little change but considering that most who participate here including me in avatar and articles, expected much more i mean on those who wear signature this is really disaster.

I hope for the ones that were in campaign that price will come to at least half of promised so that they can get some coins in wallet for effort at least.

From the very beginning, It was very little risk in investing in a coin that has the target to take over snapchat.  As cynical as BCT is, I am shocked at the 8 BTC raised.  Normally its 10000 BTC or Zero.  Moderate, is good.  Early market did what it always does, one lift hill and a slow demise.  Its hard to judge a coin with .1% of its assets for sale and the stakers and miners selling at a satoshi.

I agree the App will not move the price higher on Cryptopia.  The Dev will need Marketing Money to push the app.  I feel a second crowd fund will be necessary or else it will be another app in the store.

Come February we will know what we have, bag or bust.  No point in buying or selling.  Stake, Mine or Hold. -- Popcorn

mitchellmint Thank you for such a thorough response, Very good observation

It would be very foolish for someone to stake or mine a coin that isn't even listed on any exchange and the dev that runaway already.
its best to just sell you coin to psychotic boy while he is still interested and forget about the coin. if later you find out this coin pushed through and that the dev indeed reappear at some point with a developed platform. you can then start buying.

First check the OP page that this coin is listed in CRYPTOPIA site and the price currently running is 11 satosi , so i think no even psychotic wont be buying at old rates when he can get in low price.

but it is true that the Developer ranaway as what he expected in ICO that much he did not got it. So i think this project is closed
1365  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: December 29, 2016, 02:42:43 PM
When this happens then you know the apocalypse is very close to happening.
That means that progress has ceased and the end is near. Embarrassed
With the strides that bitcoin has made recently it is hard to ever think of this happening.
This thread is old. Roll Eyes

I too agree that this thread should be closed as what OP was thinking is now highly not possible and even if it is possible then it means that Bitcoin value is crashed and Bitcoin has lost its faith from users.
1366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: December 29, 2016, 02:41:21 PM
I have started to sell my coins from $950 price as i know that their is a very strong selling support near $1000 so as soon as we can see the price we will be seeing the sellers dumping the coins. And as per my view it is always a good selling on the rise as their will be sure some correction of price that time we can enter back
1367  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do bitcoin poker only sites keep closing? on: December 29, 2016, 02:37:51 PM
Haven't played bitcoin poker for a while, just when I started looking for my old sites they are both closed, I probably even had some chips in there, bitcoin is rising since Trump entered the scene, why are poker sites suffering?

Can you please specify the Poker Site that keep closing? And also I don't know why you connecting bitcoin rising in what poker site suffered? Anyway this is my answer to your questions : I think the main reason here why poker site suffer because of rising bitcoin price.

I dont agree with you that poker sites are closing because of bitcoin price rising, their is no relation between bitcoin price and poker sites closing, Poker sites are working on person to person playing way where they take some percentage of table. It is only due to some sites are creating their own bot to play against the real player and ripping them and making them lose the bitcoins this way they are scamming that is why their site gets closed
1368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "We got hacked" coming ! on: December 29, 2016, 12:33:45 PM
i have a feeling as soon as we get to $1200 we will see those that bought in late at the '2013 all time high' will want to exit out of fear of being burnt twice and having to wait another 3 years to exit. so they will jump out as soon as they can break even.

which will trigger a bank run and reveal the secret spending of exchanges who then cant pay out the coins that they were suppose to hold for their customers but didnt.

what you told is correct but after that low do you think that they would not have bought back in low and averaged the price and right now they will be in profit and if i am not wrong then they would have cashed it out in $ 930 range that time the price also crashed little bit and now back the price is up.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 28, 2016, 04:57:14 PM
1 match for today Premier League.
Southampton vs Tottenham Hotspur. Well, it will be a tough match for Hotspur, but i throw my money on Hotspur ML and i pick Over Corner kicks for this match. Tottenham match always have a big chance on over corner.
the odds for tottenham was pretty high but you shouldn't forget that while playing for away matches tottenham not really good and southampton home matches results was pretty good even liverpool cannot able to win against them and i think this match results will be ended by draw or might be both teams to score is good for this match

I also think that this match will be without goal and correct score 0-0 is mostly possible or you can take first half draw as i think second half we can see goal.

my bet first half draw and under 2.5 goal
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 28, 2016, 12:48:28 PM
This on going test match between Pakistan and Australia is not going to be finished as result oriented. There are only three days whereas 34 wickets with 3 complete inning remaining. Weather off course is playing important role in the game which has already effected a lot the match.
if still the rain is expected there then the match is going to be traw but if the rain do not interrupt the game for next 3 days then we can hope that the match will come to an end with some result
If there is no rain then also we can expect draw as only 2 days remaining and still 1st innings itself isn't completed . There is a possibility for Aussies to win this match if they play very aggressively tomorrow and give a lead of 250-300 and take the whole 5th day to defeat Pakistan but the chances are too less as Pakistan batsmen are in good form.

their is always possibilities of pakistani give surprises , so it is true that if Australia on 4th play aggressively and take lead of 250+ and then pakistan collapse in chasing the score before that or just give a small target to Australia , then their are full chances of result in this test. You can just check the last test between india vs england where india lead with 200+ runs in first innings and england collapsed and lost it. that is why it is told any thing is possible in cricket world.

SA is in very strong position and 90% chances of they are winning it
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: December 28, 2016, 12:42:44 PM
I have 93 btc. Trying to work back to 100. Got some equip for ltc minning, so sold some.

I have 2 paper wallets in safety deposit bank and 1 hot wallet for bills and dust in my laptops.

No other copies of stuff in bank. I figure if the bank falls down a sinkhole then it is proof
The asic miner gods hate me. No issues the paper wallet private keys have never been used.
I simply add whatever I can to an address. I figured 52 on first one. Now trying to
Build up 2nd one up and over 50 again.

No fuss no mess and got a huge safety deposit box for $65 bucks a year

How safe is the deposit box. Can the staff take a copy of the paper wallet?

A copy of the wallet is useless to any thief if bip 38 encryption is  used...

But still it means that only the paper wallet like paper currency is the most safest way of securing the bitcoins, that is why it is told that fiat currency wont vanish it will still be their only thing is it will change to bitcoin paper will take place on fiat paper currency.

but i will prefer to use desktop wallet as even if the wallet is not their and until i am holding the passphrase i can rebuild the old wallet and get my address and use it.
1372  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Recently lost my iPhone with my breadwallet. on: December 28, 2016, 12:39:52 PM
It is nice to know that their is a mobile wallet which can be recovered if the phone is lost through passphrase like desktop wallet electrum as before i have heard of if the mobile is lost or it is corrupted then you will lose your wallet for ever
1373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: December 28, 2016, 08:54:07 AM
I see that everyone sees Bitcoin as this magical money making thing so here is a great way to make some money:

1. Learn a skill that is in demand.

2. Use that skill to make money in your worthless inflationary local currency.

3. Convert that worthless currency into bitcoins.

Boom. Now you have real money!

Spend as desired.

Bonus points if you can use your skill that is in demand to directly make bitcoins.

In some countries you can direct deposit your paycheck into bitcoins.
In the US you can use http://www.bitwage.co or PEY in Germany.

I agree with your first 2 points but i dont agree with your 3rd point which currency you are telling is worthless without that currency valuation done in bitcoin , then bitcoin is worthless, where you see only the bitcoin value in that currency only and the users are taking benefit of that currency valuation as advantage. It is not said that 1 btc will give u this much gold or coffee, but it is calculated as 1 btc value $950 like this.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you gamble your (or your child's) school fund? on: December 27, 2016, 09:24:09 PM
Well, I would say that I did this back in 2014. My mother already deposited all the money I need to pay for school for the year and also some allowance for my daily needs. I gambled around half of it on NBA odds. I lost that half. So I lived on really cheap food and really avoided buying anything. I even tried to avoid buying things I need like books just to save money. Was a gruesome year for me, luckily I got through. Wouldn't do that again.

How bout you guys, would you do it?

You know, a lot of college student have done that with varying degrees of success and failure.  It's not really a good idea to take this route at such an early stage in one's educational development because the skills to become a successful gambler have not been attained for most at this stage.  Get a degree in mathematics or engineering, then try your hand at gambling on a professional level.

This is not new you can hear lot of stories more then this interesting about how they started to play gambling and then lost everything after that they are realizing the mistake they have done it. That is why it is told that play with what if you lose should not affect your and your family life.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Games Are So Much Fun on: December 27, 2016, 09:21:47 PM
And it is more fun because you just click again and again whether you lose or not as long as you have balance in your wallet. It is also fun to see on how much are the other dicers are winning. Another factor that dice makes me happy also is when I see some gamblers who are winning big amount and I hope that it will happen to me also.
Yeah even if you lost and your sad. When you see someone who is winning big. Theres something in your part that makes you happy and keeps you on believing that someday you will win like them.
There are different kinds of persons, some are very envious and bitter and if they see something good happening to you they will not be happy at all instead they will be mad because they were not the lucky ones to win big.
Well to look at it that way, i see you have a point. I guess it's just about people's preferences and what makes them happy. I agree with what you've said here that people are different and that if dice doesn't sound appealing to me and a bit boring, poker and baccarat may be the same for other people. It's just about knowing what you want and enjoying what your interests are
yeah for some people gamble on a game like dice are so fun rather than gamble on sports or card games , it's okay just the matter of having different taste. just don't gamble like a mad , as most people who gamble in dice usually go mad quickly , the game seems really works with that way to hook people in short time quickly and get their money. idk lol.
I suppose it has to do with the speed of the game, for example I like to make some sports bets, I make a bet a few days before the game and then I watch the soccer game, two hours later I know if I won or if I lost, like you see to lose or win a bet takes me days while in the game of dice it takes seconds, it is no wonder why dice players seems to lose so much money.

This is also one way of thinking and it is true also that who wanted to become rich in short are preferring to go for dice gambling and soon lose everything and after that realizes that how much wrong they were
1376  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: December 27, 2016, 09:18:47 PM
One thing that makes me still in doubt with the future of the bitcoin is rejection of almost all countries. If all countries agree to ban bitcoin, of course the future of the bitcoin is finish. Best step is don't save bitcoin too much and too long time.
nope i think not all countries prohibit and reject bitcoin. some are even legalize bitcoin and use bitcoin liberate their societies? I'm sure all the government will make regulations on bitcoin, hopefully it does not harm the user bitcoin

The thing that is threatening bitcoin today is not the government as of now, maybe in the future. But today big companies are moving away from bitcoin and I believe its bad news. The CEO of circle has announced that they will leave bitcoin like the other big companies who left bitcoin behind. I just hope that this will have no detrimental effect on the price of bitcoin.
I think the number of big companies that are accepting bitcoin is more that those who are leaving bitcon away, I think bitcoin need some more time to become more mature and one of the most popolar currency of the world and hope that then the world popular companies will take interest in bitcoin.

I think that most of the popular companies are taking interest in blockchain and not in bitcoin as they know that instead of accepting bitcoin it is good to know about blockchain so that they can itself create a new coin with the help of blockchain technology. Bitcoin is going right now in a good path and every thing goes right then we can see the price of bitcoin $1200+ in march 2017
1377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you do when BTC shoots up? on: December 27, 2016, 09:14:33 PM
I use to do trading most of the time and i had sold some bitcoins when it went above $910 and when it went down i buyed back at $890 but most of my holded bitcoins are used for sports betting and poker betting
1378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: December 26, 2016, 12:18:43 AM
I am doing day trading and most of the time i sell when i see the decent price rally according to it, i started to sell my coins from 900$ and i had sold out nearly 50% of my stock around $940 price and had bought back 30% stock back at $880 range. i just trade for 10% profit and keep my investment and reap the profit
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this true or a speculation on: December 25, 2016, 11:50:57 PM
Somewhere while surfing I read popular sites often makes less known sites use the money to pay first then scam and then continue on the popular sites. Could this also be happening in the Bitcoin industry. Start a roll dice or casino, open a hyip and then hyip goes scam and front site continues, no one comes to know. Or this is purely speculation, none of this happens?

there are many sites like this.. its called bait and switch.
offer you one thing. but end up with something else

I also heard that everybody have to be very careful with using that kind of sites that ask for private information. On the net it happens almost every day, one day the site works and everything is ok, but another it's not exist anymore and you are in panic.

The sites which are giving you all types of false commitments of high income are the sites which are going like this and even when their are lot of thread alarming about this type of scam their are users who are getting scammed by this type of hyip schemes in greedy of getting high returns and end up in loss. So it is natural in all types of ways the scammer are operating
1380  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: December 23, 2016, 07:12:52 AM
I am very satisfied with this faucet. It is true that one would want a higher payment but that is what there is. I have had been fortunate to obtain several prizes over 20,000 satoshis and that speaks of the reliability and honesty of this site, although I still hope to win the jackpot one day.

very nice to hear that you have won several prizes over 20k satoshi but in lottery you wont be able to win as it is fully manipulated and as much i have noticed for the past 12 months only most of the new users id are able to win in top 4 position and if i am not wrong that accounts are from the site owners. because till now i have never heard by any genuine users to claim of winning the lottery in top 4 position and even the site is not claiming the genuineity of the lottery system
