1361  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: August 16, 2015, 10:23:52 PM
I got a loan back from my friends who needed the money to be able to buy physical goods for him I did not get too much profit from that but still it was at least something
a tad off topic, but a great tip for the future: never lend friends money. i think the saying goes something like "if you want to lose a friend lend them money."

I think he is turning into the next TrillMyWatch, or is possibly an alt of TMW. As in he is starting to troll various threads asking for loans that he should very well know that he is not going to get.
im thinking he is an alt of TMW, reference-less positive trust rating in his trust profile.

1364  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: August 16, 2015, 07:22:47 PM
You can make a lot more in a year!

If you are a developer you can try to find a job that pay's in BTC. If you 're a good professional you'll get 1 BTC for 4 or 5 days work or less!
if youre a competent and professional developer, it should take  you a few hours, not a few days, to earn that much money. for some reason, people overvalue bitcoin for some reason.
1365  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the best online bitcoin wallet on: August 16, 2015, 08:40:25 AM
i guess no one can compete blockchain..
i think everyone can, blockchain.info is inept and should not be used; they accept  spoofed, unverified transactions into their ledger, and anyone using their api for processing payments or anything for the matter are at risk of being completely fucked over.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3fv42j/blockchaininfo_spoofed_transactions_problem_aug_4/
which one would u consider then ??home wallet.
I would recommend not using a web wallet at all, use a hd wallet and take the security of your coins into your own hands.

your account is really worth next to nothing, but im assuming you already know that, and im also assuming you farmed this account for a month just to become a jr member so you wouldnt get tagged with more -ve trust.
1367  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [selling] Counter Strike Global Offensive account on: August 16, 2015, 07:39:53 AM
I think this should be in the digital goods section Wink: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0

Also proof of ownership is always good when trying to sell this type of account.
curious, how exactly would ownership of a steam account be proven? in the case a steam account is compromised, it should be safe to assume that the email address associated with that account is also compromised (steamguard, possible same password).

~400+ dollars for a phone verification? also consider moving this to the services section and rethink your price  for selling this service.
1370  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the best online bitcoin wallet on: August 16, 2015, 07:21:48 AM
I love Coinbase: Unlimited addresses, vaults, receive payments in bitcoin using fiat as reference and, they are already integrated in many places (buy with only one click, literally). Also, if you live in a mainstream country you can probably buy btc directly from them (near to market price, unlike localbitcoins or other sites).

all of these things that you mentioned are good features but Coinbase has 1 big flaw that negates all those features.
and that is the fact that you dont have access to your private keys, which means 0 control over your bitcoin. so if coinbase decides to close your account, your bitcoin is lost.
theres a lot more than 1 huge flaw with using coinbase as a wallet, and add in the fact that coinbase closes accounts without warning for trivial reasons, such as simply sending your coins to a gambling site.
1371  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB PAYPAL [H] BTC on: August 16, 2015, 07:11:11 AM
looking for $30 in paypal i will pay in btc pm me your offers or post here. only Sr Member and above
Why is it that you literally just posted that others should beware of accepting PayPal from others, and the next thing you do is open a thread accepting PayPal?

This seems very fishy to me Roll Eyes
most likely attempting to gain some trust ratings from this, or doing the "send paypal first you can chargeback" and withdraw the money to his real PP account. the latter seems more probably considering his account is worthless, and because there is no mention of escrow.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your favorite game? on: August 16, 2015, 04:38:55 AM
the pachinko game was pretty fun for me, but some things happened and the site is down for now, hopefully itll be back in the coming weeks.
1373  Economy / Lending / Re: need loan 0.21btc/term 3 month/10%M/collateral webstore project on: August 15, 2015, 09:37:25 PM
you were asking 40+ btc for that same website just yesterday werent you? your decreasing the loan value to .21 btc pretty much verifies that your claim on what your site is worth is complete bs.
1374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the best online bitcoin wallet on: August 15, 2015, 09:14:33 PM

Unlimited addresses? You can get that with any wallet that you control, rather than some 3rd party. Blockchain.info and probably others allow you to send referencing in fiat amount as well. Being integrated doesn't matter per se; anywhere that accepts bitcoin through Coinbase accepts bitcoin.

So I'm thinking -- get a wallet that you control and maintain your own private keys, rather than leaving it to Coinbase.

in addition, coinbase monitors how you spend your coin, so i dont know whats so great about that. there are multiple accounts of coinbasae terminating accounts without warning for simply sending coins to a gambling website, and have called in LE when they traced coins to a DMN in the past as well.
1375  Other / Meta / Re: Restricting lending section for newbies? on: August 15, 2015, 09:03:43 PM
Or maybe the forum can make a solution as they do it on the gambling section with the "Investor based games", we can open a lending section for newbies. It would be a nice solution.
I was thinking the same thing. I think that a "Newbie Loans" section would be good to have, since it would clear most of the spam out of the main loaning area, but still allow newbies to ask for loans, and for valid loan requests to be fulfilled.
i particularly like this idea, completely disallowing newbies to post in the lending section wouldnt be fair to the few who have a legitimate need, and this would eliminate this problem while cleaning up the lending section from the newbie spam.
1376  Economy / Auctions / Re: Hero Member Auction on: August 15, 2015, 08:27:35 PM
Price is too high.
You should Auction Starts from 0.30BTC
0.4 BTC is a low price for a hero account, and is an extremely good place to start off this auction; if   i had the money to back it up i would be bidding on this so I could resell it higher, but unfortunately, my wallet is near empty as of the moment.
1377  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Renting VPN on: August 15, 2015, 08:15:51 PM
why would anyone rent a vpn for that high of a rate when they could buy a key that would give 3 months of access for a dollar? theres plenty of vendors in this section that offer various keys cheaply.
1378  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] SR.MEMBER ACCOUNT on: August 15, 2015, 08:00:34 PM
Isn't this in the expensive area? Full Members go for about 0.08BTC so I'd think Sr. Members would go for approximately 0.16BTC (correct me if I'm wrong).

of course not.

These Sr. Members could go up to 0.2 but not over 0.25 (higher price could apply to higher activity accounts, about 0.3 for 400 activity). However 0.28 must be a high price for a 300 activity account.

I had researched the market price before I decided to sell my Sr.member account. I don't really know for sure if this is too expensive, but I have seen someone sold his Sr.member account with 260 activity for 0.25BTC.
i would say its about right as far as price goes, general rule of thumb for accounts that are full member and abolve, 1 activity = 1 mBTC.
1379  Other / Off-topic / Re: Alternative instant messenger for private messaging on: August 15, 2015, 07:50:38 PM
Doing communication via board private message is inconvenient in order to talk about deals. Most users usually use Skype or MSN but some do not use any of them. I am looking for an instant messenger what is usable for both parties after a quick and simple registration. Any suggestions?

I tried Slack but its usage is limited for free users.

@mods: I do not know if this is the right section for this question. Please move it, if not!

meta would probably be a better fit for this topic.

Skype is maybe very popular but unfortunately, it is probably the worst existing solution available today in term of privacy.
I have been using tox lately and it works well enough
considering the nature of this forum, privacy is a big concern, and i honestly dont know why people even consider using skype  for deals on this forum. I would recommend using services such as safe-mail or torchat to maintain privacy.
1380  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: August 15, 2015, 07:47:09 PM
If you make 1 $ from faucets every day you will make more than one BTC in a year

Can I be sincere with you? Those faucets are a waste of time. You're going to get literal pennies worth of Bitcoin. You'd be better off just buying your own supply of Bitcoin.
while the notion of "free money" for entering captchas may be enticing for newbies, they are indeed a complete waste of time. more money is likely spent on the electricity used to access the website on whatever computer one uses than is gained from a faucet.
