Well someone else has to buy those high end rigs to provide computing power, no?

Miners already has those rigs Smiley
So nobody has to buy anything. Miners will make much more money for providing gpu power then when they are mining with the gpu's.

Don't forget that it will not only be GPU power, the mining rigs will look a bit different than some top ETH and BTC miner rigs.
I'm pretty sure that you will need a decent CPU and a lot of RAM also to get this working well.

They will probably need some adjustments to their machines but can be done

There needs a lot of modernization costs. It is not yet known for what period of time the i7 installation will pay off and the increase in RAM. You also need to consider the fee for electricity. In general, renting computers is more suitable for those who already have a gaming computer, and miners are easier to continue conventional mining.

Does that mean that a miner should have a separate computer just for mining since when he will be sharing it, it will be useless for him, well at least for gaming. That means he would need to have so initial investment just for mining.

That's amazing they raised somewhere 16.5m $ in ico such a short time with this market conditions.

Regardless how bad the market is good projects always find a way to get success.

Not many projects can compete with that lately that means, we are really looking at a jewel here. Im honestly surprised that any ICO can still raise that much.

Isnt 0.01 ETH for Rcoin a little bit too much, thats more than 3$ per coin. I know it all comes down to market cap but i think people see potential space for growth if the coin value is lower.
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DAO PlayMarket 2.0 - App Store based on the blockchain and smart contracts on: November 03, 2017, 10:46:29 PM
as i have understood, this will be only available on Android? So even microsoft windows 10 phones or even Apple iOS is not planned?

I think for now it's only for Android, later they plan to do the same thing for iOS.
I guess that if the project goes well they will develop the other versions.

Since is a 2.0 version of PlayMarket its logical its just for android, at least for now. The reality is, majority of users are using android right now.

ohh yeah 3000 restaurants is a very large number.
With global economics later hope much more? Smiley

If they expand outside New York they can easily reach higher number than that. I just hope they can keep up with their plans.
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ☀️ [ANN] ☀️ USA, NY based Startup|MVP - Nov. 7th - reOrder Gateway on: November 03, 2017, 10:17:43 PM

What is the pros of this project. How will the team market their product and convince restaurants to adopt their project ?

For restaurants owner our product is totally free - no costs, no fees. This product is much easy to market here in US. We not change anything inside of restaurant and we don't need any integrations with POS. Installation is fast and easy. Along as terminal business owner will have professional photos of their menu and all support also for free.

But you will have to adapt your app to every restaurant where they will offer your product, does that still mean, that anyone can have a testing period with your platform for free?
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DAO PlayMarket 2.0 - App Store based on the blockchain and smart contracts on: November 03, 2017, 10:10:00 PM
You will raise funds for game stur-ups? Its will be like in Kickico platform?  Huh

I must have missed this .... I thought they where only providing a centralised App Store blockchain based?
Need to read the Whitepaper it seems.

Yes, read this:

Quote
DAO PlayMarket 2.0 is a decentralized Android App Store that accepts payments in cryptocurrency and is combined with an ICO platform for developers.

So, this is like kraundfunding platform also..

I not jut crowdfunding for games but for all applications which will be released on their platform. You will also get dividends from their sales.
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: November 03, 2017, 10:05:21 PM
Well, I want to ask to FIEX about closed beta, it's only for token holders or anyone can apply (and only some will be selected of course, with "anyone" I mean, crypto devs, crypto influencers etc...) when it will be released?

Our team is now focusing to develop Android and web version of Soma marketplace. We will keep our community updated regarding the progress of our development. The closed beta will not only be for token holders. Everyone will be able to join this beta.

The team is aiming to release the beta in December.
You have to apply as beta tester on the website of SOMA (feature will be added when we are closer to the release of the beta).

Your roll as a community manager is already paying off, there was a lot of good new lately and to know you are developing android version is a really good sigh that you are on track with your road map.

Yes the news about the list of gatcoin on coss is official, and its a pretty good news , coss is starting to become a good exchange, and I have no worries for the future, more exchanges will come.

I havent heard about about that exchange before but now that i checked it out, its look pretty solid and i am sure it will do good for Gatcoin.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: November 03, 2017, 02:00:43 PM
What is meant exactly with "When the liquidity is reached, the liquidity reserve will be burnt"?

Does it mean, when a specific amount is collected during the ICO, the liquidity reserve will be burned, too? Could you tell us, what the threshold is so that this reserve will be burnt?

This means that SCT is liquid enough in several exchanges as the demand of SCT will grow in line with Soma's growth. Liquidity reserve was designed for unlikely event that it would not be so. Theoretically this could happen for example just after the ICO if large amount of token holders would decide to hold their SCT.

Hope this answers your question.

But there is still no guarantee for that, if you dont set a specific value of token you are aiming at, liquidity can be a relative term.

i dont really mind when is going to be listed, i will wait till the everything is properly launched before even thinking about it

Yes at this point, it doesnt matter on which exchange they are going to be listed, but I think many investors want to know this information.

and they prolly will be listed first on etherdelta like every new token recently Smiley

etherdelta the alpha and the omega of every ether token Smiley

Its kinda a basic information if you invest in something, you want to know how and when you will be able to get money out of it. I agree that most of us are not in a hurry with knowing which exchange it will be listed on since we are here for the long run.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PLAYKEY: DECENTRALIZED CLOUD GAMING PLATFORM on: November 03, 2017, 01:48:18 PM
I think the price to use the platform is not so expensive, 20$ for a mounth up to 70h is really nice, compare that to the price of a full gaming laptop and you will see that with that money you can be customer of playkey for years !

But as i get it, you have to pay for every game extra if you will want to play a full version. I dont know how this looks like, do you get your own version of the game with CD key and everything?
1393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 ⚡🚀ANN: GATCOIN Blockchain Rewards Program [Presale on 28 October]🌟 ⚡🚀 on: November 03, 2017, 09:38:18 AM
Presale is now at 30%.
How do you guys feel about this?

Do you guys blame the fork or the marketing?
I thought it would go faster because this is a really great idea and project!

Both. They cannot do anything about the fork, it is out of their control. However, they can do something about their advertising. They need to create a constant hype. They have to convince potential investors that investing in GATCOIN is better than having Bitcoin right now. A tall order, with 5%+ gains every day.
Mostly the fork , But I also think we can not depend on a good project and think it will sell itself , There should bee more hype , But still I would not worry there is still a lot of time before preico end and most people waiting and will put there money in time after the whole BTC drama end .

It's a mix of everything, but it's sure that the fork is not helping.

There is so much projects right now that it's hard to market effectively.

If you just look at prices of altcoins now, most of them are dropping because people are focused on bitcoin. Too bad this is taking a tool on ICOs right now. But for current circumstances, i think their presale is going good.
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: November 03, 2017, 09:31:15 AM
There will always be such kind of people who try to scam... Crypto is a very nice technology but on the other hand SO open for scammers.
The possibilities to scam people are endless and that's in fact the only negative side effect this whole cryptoworld has.
I love the part of being anonymous (as far as this is possible) but this does also mean that it's almost impossible to get refunds when you got scammed.

That's true. But you have to pay for the anonymity somehow...Besides, the first and the most important investment rule is that you only should invest an amount you're ready to lose.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: November 03, 2017, 09:23:04 AM
Where you seen counter with % ? I see counter on their site but without %  Shocked

The percentage number is in the middle of the bar. I can't see the exact number raised, but they almost reached the soft cap.
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: November 03, 2017, 09:19:23 AM
I just checked, they already got %19 of the hard cap and if you think %20 is the soft cap, we can say the project will definitely continue.

The sad thing that utrust would probably get the hard cap if it was another time but now with that forks and bitcoin pump, it still performed well enough.

I am sure after they reach soft cap, investors will be more confident and will invest more which will attract others to join. This really seems to be the one of the most profitable ICOs in recent weeks.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PLAYKEY: DECENTRALIZED CLOUD GAMING PLATFORM on: November 03, 2017, 09:14:47 AM

I'm just wondering, how can they pay approximately 1$ an hour, if the client pays ~ 10$ for a whole month of playing, or up to 70h, if I remember correctly...

Am I missing something?. Cuz it doesn't make sense to me.

There is difference. We have different packages - 1 hour for $1, or 1 month starting from $10 and up to $20. 70 hours is the limit. The reality is that gamers play much less, so you can be able to host other gamers and get more rewards.

This make sense, moreover you could even consider just b uy 1 hour for a game and try it to see if you like it.

So when subscription is payed, you can choose to play any game from  the list as long as you buy it first? Game prices are the same as on steam or you get some discount?
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: November 03, 2017, 09:14:07 AM
When I heard that now soma has a community manager I thought he will answers lots of things instantly. But he only announced he is the community manager and nothing more. I hope he starts answering questions as soon as possible.

Maybe he's reading the thread from the beginning  Grin

Otherwise they are a bit late with hiring a community manager. Does anybody know what his exact responsibilities are? Besides the obvious ones that come to mind...
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: November 02, 2017, 09:49:57 PM
I watch sales stopped, the counter does not grow. Apparently there are two reasons: the fork BTC and the lack of developer activity.

They have no control over the effect of the upcoming BTC fork, but they certainly can be more active on the communication side. Assigning a new community manager is a good step, they should have done that a long time ago.
A good community manager is highly needed for an ICO. It's very important to answer each question of the investors. I never invest in a project I have questions about.

I just hope its not too late and people already forgot about their ICO, we will see in the next few days in traffic will go up.
1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SOMA - The Social Marketplace on: November 02, 2017, 07:53:05 PM

This is still completely confusing. Does anyone have a  reliable answer for me in regards to unsold tokens? Will the be burned or offered for sale after the ICO?

Even though we have now a new community manager, I will answer as I understood it, FIEX should correct me if I am wrong:

First of all, unsold tokens will be burned. But if the ICO won't reach the hard cap (which will most likely be the case) they will keep a 10% liquidity reserve out of the unsold token. From this reserve, they will offer SCT on their platform after the ICO.

We will burn all unsold tokens. The liquidity reserve will be burnt as well, if there is enough liquidity to support the smooth functioning of the soma platform. So to conclude - we will not sell SCT anymore after the ICO unless there would an event that there is not enough SCT on the markets to support the Soma platform. When the liquidity is reached, the liquidity reserve will be burnt.

To summarize:
All the unsold tokens will be burnt
That's great to hear. I am glad that they burn all unsold tokens which is very important for the solid growth of a project.

Thats the only right way to do it to be fair to investors. Nobody wants to see coin value being artificially kept low which would be the case if they wouldnt burn it.
