1381  Economy / Economics / Re: so btc value is finished? on: May 31, 2014, 05:15:19 PM
It's happening, the price of the bitcoin is down and down and looks like there is a long recovery way, the current situation with the Chinese exchangers, and the australian banks has been really bad, when the bitcoin reach the frontier of the 200 $ will be a tragedy.

You were wrong and people who followed your advice lost a lot of money.
Better luck next time.  Smiley
Now that we are over $600 how soon for $800.......??

I think we won't see 800$ soon, the price is growing too fast to be sustainable, we are heading to a new ATH but can't be so rapid.

The last year bubble of 1200 was even more fast, not counting the April bubble, to be unsustainable it has to rise like 30-40 percent in a couple of days.
1382  Economy / Economics / Re: Collapse or dollar= collapse of Rome= armagedon, but WHY!? on: May 31, 2014, 05:08:19 PM
Yes, in Zimbabwe, debtors were also happy, they were clean of debt in no time.

Banks saw their balances go to zero. Credits and debits were worthless.

So, the 90% or so of ex-debtors are all happy in the middle of an economy in wrecks Smiley

So the best debtor (USA) will be ultra happy to see his debt dissapear and thats why he will adopt bitcoin with determinism hehe.
1383  Economy / Economics / Re: Good business/economy books! on: May 31, 2014, 05:06:35 PM
Well i have some

Jared Diamond, Guns, Germs, and Steel (1997).  The third leg in the triad of "why did Europe dominate the globe?" explanations.  If Clark focuses on genetics/culture, and Rosenberg and Birdzell focus on institutions, Diamond proffers a geographical determinism.

Nathan Rosenberg and L.E. Birdzell, Jr., How the West Grew Rich (1986).  Perfect when paired with Clark, because Rosenberg and Birdzell present the classical argument for why Western Europe was the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
1384  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for your signature from FXOpen. Weekly payouts. on: May 31, 2014, 04:30:07 PM
If I remove my signature today is that ok? As the cycle is basically ending now, will I still be paid for the posts I've made up to the point I remove my signature?

Yeah once the cycle is over do I reapply, or do I remove the signature? I'm pretty new to all of these signature things.

I would also like to know how to reapply because It says on this thread that next pay will be on June 1st but It also says "Planned for June 2-4" Does that mean that we'll get payed June 2-4 Or June 1? And how do I reapply? thanks.
The next payment will be on next monday, basically he is paying every monday.

1386  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Fucking Ponzi's and the idiots that buy into them + List of Shills on: May 31, 2014, 05:31:58 AM
Ponzi.s seem not to be present as much as they use to

ED seem to have stole tens of bitcoins so any new Bitcoin website is a threat
from ponzi and hyips there are only few people that makes money.Rest of people lose money due to their greediness and Dreams to get rich quick

Those ponzies keep flowing because there are people who keeps depositing money into those sites, if they have so much money, they should trade some alt coins instead of that..
1387  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk account trading be banned? on: May 31, 2014, 05:22:33 AM
I think a lot of people want to buy Senior and Hero accounts because of the sig campaigns.

Without a doubt, and with some of the prices you see people advertising Senior accounts for (assuming that they aren't going to scam) then you can break even pretty darn quick.

Personally I reckon that scammers will take advantage of that fact.

If a scammer wanna scam he will do it with bought accounts or without them, also i dont think that a hero member with green trust will sell his account and thats the only way to scam a bigger amount
1388  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Vircurex still working? on: May 31, 2014, 05:12:47 AM
I stopped the use of vircurex since the "hacks" they got.. it seems a very fishy exchange, and i  dont like the interest thing that they copied from mcxnow..
1389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lets compare ATMs on: May 31, 2014, 02:52:48 AM
Thought it would cool to get peoples experiences with different bitcoin ATMs.

So far I have used the Robocoin ATM in Vancouver and found it to be a quick process but a few misleading aspects about it.

1. They claim a limit of $3K in the ATM but it is actually $500
- They do bigger transactions in the office located in the same coffee shop, but I am sure it involves grabbing a crap load of information about you.
2. The fees are higher than 1% and they hide that in the price of the bitcoin.
So I think you could find cheaper rates through localbitcoin if you have the time.

Over all it was fast to use and easy to access. Will try the other 2(think there is 2 more) next week.

I have seen some American ones are pretty hard to use and want so much information.

A lot of people have been getting scammed at localbitcoin (thankfully not me) and the sellers there add their fees just like the ATMs. I personally haven't had the oportunity to use a BTC ATM but when they spring up around here i'll give better input.

Yes, i think the fees are nothing to worry about, if you can get bitcoins fast and 100 percent secure without the risk of being scammed, i would pay any fees and also atms is the best wat to adquire bitcoins for newbies

1392  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the real reason? on: May 31, 2014, 02:33:26 AM
China isn't out of the picture. Its trading volume is still more than 50% of all trading volume in the world: http://www.bitcoinity.org/markets/list?currency=ALL&span=24h

If the price keeps going up, we'll see what the chinese government decides to do.

Yes , with banning it they only made it more popular and something every chinnese wanna have, i think that if this rise continues, ltc will skyrocket too

A Man always knocking the 'Anglo-white Man',Pepe now casts his latest fantasy in a 'Whiteman's' text.Imagining the current elections as somehow paralleling London & Paris in Dickens times.
More fantasy from Pepe Escobar, proving once again he is clue-less...and is influenced ,more than he may like to admit, by everything Western.
1396  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How Do I Tell My Daughter That People Across Europe Fear Minorities Like Us? on: May 30, 2014, 10:46:45 PM
It's hard to combat the anti-Muslim hysteria when a young Muslim woman is jailed for writing 'Jihadi poetry' (released on appeal, admittedly), whereas a former BNP nut and known Muslim-hater caught with a huge cache of explosives in his garden shed is charged under the Explosives Act, in a trial that didn't even make the mainstream media.
1397  Economy / Speculation / Re: do you believe bitcoin will rises over 5000$ this year? on: May 30, 2014, 09:02:06 PM
Central banks are not threatened unless bitcoins become popular, but bitcoins won’t become popular unless, in effect, they become popular,
1398  Economy / Economics / Re: 100 yrs to mine the last million bitcoin? on: May 30, 2014, 08:54:26 PM
Volatility has nowhere near mellowed out. We are in a temporary oasis of stability. Bitcoin has tens of thousands of fiat in value to eat up still, expect more volatility on the horizon.

Realize we are still extremely early in the game here, people. We're looking at 3-5 years at LEAST before some semblance of stability.

Yes, we should expect at least 2 years more of volatility, that means 2 years more of constant growth.
1399  Economy / Economics / Re: How and When Fiat Will End on: May 30, 2014, 08:49:48 PM
The end of fiat?  Bitcoin will cause this?  I always find this type thread and the views expressed quite funny, because Bitcoin is fiat money.  Its not based on real reserves or intrinsic physical commodity, its value is derived from confidence in law (albeit maths) and supply/demand.  That fits the definition of fiat money.
This is not true, fiat can be produced without limit, bitcoins has limit.

A paper currency system contains the seeds of its own destruction. The temptation for the monopolist money producer to increase the money supply is almost irresistible. In such a system with a constantly increasing money supply and, as a consequence, constantly increasing prices, it does not make much sense to save in cash to purchase assets later. A better strategy, given this senario, is to go into debt to purchase assets and pay back the debts later with a devalued currency. Moreover, it makes sense to purchase assets that can later be pledged as collateral to obtain further bank loans. A paper money system leads to excessive debt.
1400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I started tradeing. on: May 30, 2014, 08:48:18 PM
My biggest tip is one that gets repeated a lot around these forums:

Don't gamble BTC (or any money) that you aren't willing to lose.

In this situation you could make a great trade and double your BTC, or you might lose out. Either way, good luck!

Yes, this is like outside btc world, dont gamble money you need and dont gamble because you need money.
