1381  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has gone beyond gold prices on: January 06, 2017, 02:08:11 PM
Bitcoin has now exceeded the gold price, is the choice of bitcoin or gold?
Per ounce? It's not anymore as bitcoin price is too volatile and could easily drop back such as two last days from $1145 to $850 per 1BTC bitcoin.
Bitcoin price could easily pump again but panic selling could dump it again, at least gold is stable option to store our wealth.
1382  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1000 on: January 05, 2017, 04:08:31 PM
In order to avoid hacking news ruining the rally, I advice storing coins in a safe and sound manner OUTSIDE of the EXCHANGE.

I could not stress enough the importance of not trusting in the exchanges, remember what has happened basically to all the exchanges, eventually they get hacked and there is a risk of loss of coins.
Please, do not put your trust in online wallets as well as they can be compromised.

Absolutely. All my coins have been in offline paper wallets since I lost 50 coins to MtGox. Never again.

If your private keys have never been exposed to the internet, they can't possibly be hacked.

Trusting some exchange or wallet program runs against the very raison d'etre of Bitcoin, trustlessness.

Wow, big loss of BTC50. You may be rich right now to have such amount.
Learn by experience, more > learning from others experiences.
How many times exchanges got hacked and the price fall to gorge?
I won't store my btc into any exchange as they are the first target of hackers. Cheesy
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are cryptos going up right now? on: January 05, 2017, 08:23:25 AM
Not all some of the cryptos that I'm supporting are having a hard time with it's price and it's volume as well not only price but those new ico's are also having a problem on how they can sell their ico to investors,it seems everybody are on Bitcoin because of the appreciation.

You're right, bitcoin price is contrary to altcoins, if bitcoin price rise other coins will decline as now happens.
My friend always complain about this condition as he expected to get many profits by sell out his crypto but the price keep low until today. That's why we should consider how long to hold altcoin, well I've never do it. Focus only on bitcoin.
1384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Usage Reduce Demand Of Fiat? on: January 04, 2017, 05:03:05 PM
Technically it can be if more people use bitcoin than fiat money but not in the nearly future as fiat is official payment that had legalized by government and used in daily basis. Let's say, 30% people in a country using bitcoin, this condition will cause fiat demand decrease for sure. But, the question is it really will going to be happen?
1385  Economy / Economics / Re: The Future of Bitcoin Is Not as a Digital Currency on: January 03, 2017, 04:04:09 PM
I don't understand the whole idea of this BS article https://www.wired.com/2016/12/future-bitcoin-not-digital-currency/
Well, all these years later, bitcoin is certainly not a mainstream digital currency. And Circle’s decision to stop operating as a bitcoin exchange is just the latest sign that it won’t become one anytime soon.
All this 8 years, bitcoin has been the best and mainstream digital currency compare to other altcoins obviously.
Yeah, better for them to quit interfere bitcoin world and create their own cryptocurrency.
What makes bitcoin moving forward because it is digital, send/receive through online network.
If bitcoin in the future create not as digital currency then it will be deterioration of bitcoin development.

4.3   nitrogensports.eu (MY FAVORITE HANDS DOWN) ( 132 )

3.2   anonibet.com ( 67 )

( =Total Scores )

This is where you can find a simple ranking of BTC sports books, ranked by the users of these sites.  It should make finding a new book for bettors a little "bit" Cheesy simpler since they all say they are #1!  Let's find out who really is...

Here's how it will work:

If you have used any of these sports books please give them a score between 1-5 in this thread.

Directbet is so famous as I ever tried it too and like the site interface, easy to handle and put any bet as directly to my wallet.
But it's not fair if I give score to other sites but I haven't visited their site, so I vote for directbet 4.7.
I will try other sites and give the score from my point of view.
1388  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1000 on: January 01, 2017, 06:05:39 PM
I believe the goal of 1,000$ will reach in the next 24 hours.
all signals of gragh has been shown so you should buy now and hold it to get big earning in the new year of 2017.
Good luck to you.
The chance is pretty big in the next 24 hours to reach $1000, what a surprise, it's startled me.
But the fluctuations seems normal right? Increase-decrease within $10-80 a day.
I'm wondering what will we get in the end of the year, I bet for $2000 obviously.
1389  Economy / Economics / Re: Prediction for 2017 - share your views on: December 30, 2016, 10:31:05 PM
While creating this topic, bitcoin is standing at 618 USD. So I want to know your prediction for the year of 2017. What is the milestone you have targeted?

Will it be able to hold its strength at 750 USD by the end of 2017? Voice your opinions.
Some of us were underestimated bitcoin and predict it will reach $750 by the end of the year? Bitcoin surprised be able to get $900's positions and seems hold on. We're close to see the price hit $1000 but we don't know for sure when it will happen and today is the last day of the year, could it be possible? I don't think so, we may reach $1000 in 2017 and bitcoin price should increases to $2000 obviously. Some countries will issues tight regulations regarding bitcoin and more people will find out about bitcoin (spread widely).
1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need an incentive to make first world population use Bitcoin on: December 30, 2016, 05:17:46 PM
Im not including third/second world because I think eventually people that don't have access to banks will naturally see Bitcoin as the solution, but as of right now, the average person in a first world country in a regular situation, if they learn about Bitcoin they will threat it as something that is worth holding long term, like gold, but not something that's worth paying groceries for with, or anything ordinary. I mean, why would anyone pay something you can buy with fiat already, without having to change your fiat to BTC, losing money in the conversion?

This is why we need an incentive, such as cheaper prices. Purse.io is the only reason I know of why I would want to pay with BTC. Other than that, I see no reason and I value my BTC too much to spend on "stuff".

Therefore it is established that we need to incentive people to use it.

If we can't find any ways to do so, Bitcoin will remain as a new form of electronic gold with special features, maybe until "Government Coin" is launched and millions of people start looking for alternatives (since with "Government Coin" it will mean physical cash, that is paper and metal coins, will be removed from circulation, this may be the point where Bitcoin goes to 100k+ per coin, since the entire underground economy will not simply stop existing, but it will find its way for alternatives, and Bitcoin will be the best alternative)

But until then, like I said before, I don't see real reasons of why the average joe is going to pay with BTC, specially when they don't get paid in BTC, because if you get paid directly in BTC you are more prone to spend it, since you don't need to do the stupid fiat->BTC->buy conversion.

Bitcoin won't go down to $100 even if government coin invented.
Government interested to get control as much as possible through digital currency and they could freeze your funds.
Bitcoin has power due to decentralized system and government don't like this idea.
People will automatically interested to bitcoin as too much advantages offered which quite different from fiat money, it growing as time goes on and fiat value decrease over time.
The incentive should be stores/services and big companies accepted bitcoin as legal payment.
1391  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: December 29, 2016, 02:11:30 PM
Bitcoin has become a new power in the world of money as we all know that all sides deal with it so it has to survive until it become the powerful source of life . So what it is difference between bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? and why Bitcoin has become powerful among other currencies and cryptocurrencies  ?

Firstly ,let us define bitcoin by defining cryptocurrency briefly then pass to make a contrasts between Bitcoin ,Dogecoin and litecoin .
We hear always that bitcoin is the money of the future .this expectation can be taken seriousely when we see bitcoin nowadays and how much transactions executed per day which is surprising . we can say that bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency is a money which is not traditional rather it is digital or numerical which works electronically ; the most common cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin , Dogecoin and litecoin and bitcoin has something special in contrast to others and this specialty is represented by the number of transcations made per day and its volume, so bitcoin and litecoin and dogecoin differ in their volumes which will interpret to us that bitcoin has power nowadays.

In fact bitcoin is increasing exponentially in volume and numbers of transactions which will get us to the hell of thinking that bitcoin may take the lead of other cryptocurrencies if we don't say that it will take the lead of traditional currencies.because it has power which can fortify its presence in today world.

I think bitcoin is being recognized which all of it advantages for people as a better alternative in financial world.
Not only because bitcoin is the first one but the devs team still always on working in order to increase the capability of bitcoin and blockchain technology, as we know bitcoin keep growing as time goes on. Yes, those 3 things that make bitcoin has power nowadays.

1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Help about Gambling? on: December 29, 2016, 01:55:00 AM
The only gambling where your skill plays a significant role to help you win the game is either sports betting like soccer or texas holdem poker. This texas holdem poker in fact is 90% based on your skill and 10% based on luck.

Dice, slots, blackjack are game of chances where they are pre programed to make you lose money in the long run.

You should quit luck games and try skill ones, if even in skill games you are bad, then quit gambling.
Correct if you are weak in knowledge base game better stay away from this gambling or you can afford your loss play slot games just for fun. The slot games only give you entertainment and these games are not profitable. Only the skill games like sports betting and other card games are profitable. If you ask me, i will suggest you play sports betting.

Yeah, those games seems depends a lot on players luck but everyone knows so hard to win in the long run.
If I have to choose one, blackjack is one of the game that require your skills to, if you good at math than you should learn about it, calculate your winnings. I don't know much enough about blackjack and still on my learning progress, it looks interesting.
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way, risky investion or safe investion long term? on: December 28, 2016, 10:41:57 PM
When you would have a lot of Bitcoins, what way would you go, safe or risky investion?

For example you have 10 Bitcoins, would you invest in this 10 coins in altcoins that are worth under 1 million dollar,?
Or would you go the safe way and invest this 10 Bitcoins in 2-3 leading altcoins like monero, litecoin....?

If invest on altcoin is profitable than why not, if I have been through some research and read the whole idea which the coins will have bright future ahead. Some people know it properly and already made profits from those coins.
But I will divide it and not go all in imo, we need to have another savings for another project I guess.
1395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is about 953.3$ in preev now!!! on: December 28, 2016, 10:01:31 PM
Helloguys

BTC is around 953.3$ in preev now lets wait a little bit until it hit 1000$ and cash out our money Grin
beware Bitcoin can be less than the actual price in under a week so keep your eyes on the price  Cheesy

Well, today we just reach $963, less than $40 to break the wall of $1000.
I always check it regularly in several hours to see how is it going and happily to see it growing.
There's no point to waiting for $1000 and then sell out your bitcoin, don't you think it is inflict a financial loss?
I mean, there is no point to have intended to sell out when the price reach certain point due to small profit, it's better to spend your coins in daily life or sell out when you don't have any other option.
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: R.I.P Ethereum - The Pre-Mined ScamCoin is dead on: December 27, 2016, 04:34:34 PM
It's just manipulation to get your Eth coins very cheap.

They got 1000BTC worth of ETH yesterday though. probably enough for now? I can't be very positive about ETh with all this drama cosntantly popping up..

If that was true i bet the price would have went up ..not down. (like it has been for quite a while)

ETH is an ICO scam and Butters should be in jail for fraud.
And the scammy scheme coin app's gimmick bullshit should be delisted.
Most importantly you greedy investards should learn a lesson here.

And jealous ? oh jeez that retort again ?  Roll Eyes

Yup.. caught me, i am s000 jeal0us of yur gud ROI'z !!111ONE  Cheesy

I've been watching on ETH price but it continues to decline, maybe many people get rid off this coins from their investment.
But, I don't think ETH is a scam as it has been here for a year and it's seems good even though the price purely affected by demand on global trading, so it depends on how people want to have it.
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Forever: 26.04 BTC Burned In 2016 on: December 27, 2016, 03:17:56 PM
Last October a website called BTCBurns.cf identified 397 burn addresses containing 2,657.8686 BTC lost forever. It has gone offline. Since it stopped keeping track 26.04 additional bitcoins have been sent to these addresses.

The total number of unspendable bitcoins is now 2,771.4086.

http://bitcoinwhoswho.com/blog/2016/12/21/btc-burn-addresses/

I just found out about it, how many bitcoins of those users had been burned and how many they have right now if throw away so easy for them, that can't be come from one guy. Make some people jealous to see that waste of money, but as it stated from the beginning
"Lost coins only make everyone else’s coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone
I think that's why we get recently pump to the price, worth slightly more.
1398  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: December 26, 2016, 07:09:53 PM
I know there are many big players who manipulate bitcoin price and make huge profits but can we the bitcointalk members also form a cartel and let bitcoin price never fall?is it possible that we manipulate price as I am sure most of bitcoin users visit this forum

I think we have big chance to make it happens as bitcoin users must know or will find out this forum.
If everyone agreed to be patient, not intended just for buy and sell, influence more people and market to adopt bitcoin, we may manipulate bitcoin price to be more stable and constantly increasing.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best way to quit gambling for good on: December 26, 2016, 06:58:21 PM
Environment gave a huge influence. If someone stay at a place with a lot of gamblers in it, then quit gambling is a very hard work to do. He/she has to move to other environment that have no gamblers at all. But, the final result will be determined by how hard is someone intention to quit gambling.
Indeed and people around you directly or indirectly influence all your decisions, for example if you ask a friend that hey I am winning some significant money from gambling, the there are two things .. one he would say hey then why doing job man ? And the second would be saying come on its just temporary.

I think you cannot quit gambling once you started it since even if you leave gambling you will always feel like you are missing a important part of your life, I am in that stage so I know better than most.

People around, friends likely to influence in the first place.
Greediness is second factor that taken over
Eagerness to recover loss that makes people come back again.
If you can't quit gambling for now, than try to reduce the frequency and determined to find another way for fun and profits.
But, as long as you have nothing to worry, not so much loss, it's okay.
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Everyone already knows about bitcoin" no.. no they do not.. on: December 26, 2016, 06:35:40 PM
Every time I go to the bank I like to ask them if they have heard of BTC, most of the time the answer is no.
I do ask a lot of people about BTC.. a restaurant near me.. near ish use to accept it as well, I asked to pay with it, they said it no longer exists.. .... ...

Most people I find still have zero idea what BTC is unless they are friends with the likes of us.. I don't think we are even in early adoption stage.. we are in "the chasm" .. it would appear we are going to survive though... appear anyways..

I dunno just something I have taken note of.

Pretty much everyone that has heard of it assumes it's worth like 5 cents and shits themselves when I say it's $1k (Cad) .. we are in very interesting times with BTC.
I think so, we're just like a grain of sand on the beach.
Bitcoin circle around people on this forum, devs, miners and big investors.
I believe on advantages of bitcoin, something new in financial services will attract people but lack of information that hinder new comers.
