141  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Legality of crypto around the world on: September 02, 2018, 08:50:34 AM
Your definition of 'illegal':

Illegal – Any use of cryptocurrencies, including purchase and trading, is considered illegal and prosecutions may be applied if discovered.

Then you have:

Quote
China

Status: Illegal

Access to all domestic and foreign cryptocurrency exchanges and ICO websites has been blocked and ICOs are banned.

It's a bit weird to say Bitcoin is illegal in China, when majority of hashpower is located in China. They did crack down on exchanges, but, afaik, peer 2 peer and OTC trading is still allowed, just as possession of cryptos is.

How about tweaking the definition of illegality to include "heavy restrictions" on usage of cryptos, rather than suggesting that it's outright banned?

What's the gain or motivation behind "cracking down on exchanges", if people are still allowed to trade it? isn't it pretty easy to go around it somehow, with a new type of exchange that is p2p  Shocked

Doing p2p without the authorization of government is more attainable besides only ico are banned and not the usage of bitcoin. OP should amend his article.

I'm quite impress with the article that summarize the regulations of cryptos all over the world. And I'm more interested in Sweden for their legal tender for bitcoin and pushing through their own crypto which I think will help the economy yet centralization will be viable.

And what really intrigues me is Iran for pushing their own coin yet they banned cryptos. Huh
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is ETH very cheap now? on: September 02, 2018, 07:34:48 AM
ETH is very cheap today. It upsets me, because I really like this project. I hope that the price will grow significantly by the end of the year.
For me it was really cheap at 1000 USD, 800 USD... 400 USD... so here at 300 USD it is free. But I am just losing money with him lately so I don`t think anymore it is a good investment.
Any obviousld, I was wrong every time when I thought it is cheap.

This is a common mistake of trader. When you thought you're buying at dip but it isn't and you'll see the price is falling and there you are buying again. Grin

Next time do a ladderize scheme but it needs a more keen observation. Just use your 20% money and when you think it keeps on decreasing then buy more in 20 to 30%. This scheme is more likely trusting your intuition and less than the movement.

Sorry if you need to learn this in a hard way.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low supply coins and Ico on: September 02, 2018, 06:07:41 AM
I don't know why people are concern about the token supply, what I look for in a project is the marketcap. Going to your question, I know Lunyr, Monaca and Minexcoin, they all have low supply. But your question is even subjective because for me anything less than 50 million tokens is low when compared to billions of tokens they are creating now

OP was asking for an ico with a low supply so how can you'll look for marketcap when it isn't listed in CMC.

Truly, having a low supply is a factor to look for in investing because the chances for increase is higher. Thus, we should also consider the community to determine the demand.

And always choose a coin that isn't mineable. I don't have any suggestion for ico but you should consider this fact.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Eminem's New Song [Album] mentions Bitcoin :D on: September 01, 2018, 01:30:33 PM
I'm not sure how many of you follow him but that dude just dropped an album unexpectedly. While listening to it, I came across this song https://open.spotify.com/track/28FGV3ORH14MYORd7s5dlU?si=tqIkvUmtSLKMPLaNuvddDw Lyrics said,

Quote
Remember everybody used to bite nickel, now everybody doing bitcoin
Is bitcoin scaling into not-commercial underground Rap too? Either way, we're good!
Definitely another good endorsement from a high profile celebrity. Now this proves that Bitcoin is continuously gaining huge popularity around the globe. Something that skeptics should look into and may change their way of thinking about Bitcoin and/or cryptocurrency.

What? I don't see anything that Eminem had endorsed bitcoin, guys he just mentioned it so keep calm. Bitcoin popularity is dominating around the world though they're not using it but almost everyone is familiar with the name.

I know we're thirsty for some great news that will lift bitcoin so everything we hear is a big deal for us and it's fine but don't be blinded by this. Just keep our hopes and bitcoin will rise in time.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future marketing on: September 01, 2018, 10:26:23 AM
With Facebook, Google and Twitter crypto ad's bans where new projects will be promoted? Maybe we will see some new marketing strategies?

The fact that social media is the best medium to advertise anything because of its high audience that can actually boost everything so this is indeed a perfect place. So to begin with, Facebook, Twitter or YouTube will still benefited to it as the traffic will increase more plus the million dollars that the company will pay. This is actually a win-win situation for all of them.

So this banning issue is totally absurd and nobody on sales industry will think twice to grab this trend.
146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello! I'm stumped and impatient on: September 01, 2018, 09:39:48 AM
All of the OP's schemes are basically toast because of the fees. Micro earnings as a concept with Bitcoin are effectively dead by this point.

In fact, her problem is she lacks of money to run her business and bitcoin will be her night and shining armor which isn't at all. She wanted to incorporate to crypto which is risky especially that she doesn't have good knowledge and if she'll push through this she will end up losing. Maybe the least she can do is to lend to microfinance to help her business to grow in which volatility won't harm her.

What do I need to know about this? All of it. Everything...

If you want everything, googling isn't hard to do.
147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret it not selling at peaked on last jan 2018 ? on: August 31, 2018, 03:29:08 PM
Do you regret it ?
or do you believe BTC will create a new ATH ?

If you'll check the chart you'll see that bitcoin ATH happened somewhere in December 2017 and not January 2018.

If we talk about altcoins - yes, definitely Grin Because now I understand that too many coins will not reach their highs again. When Bitcoin is another story - it will rise again and i hope it will really surprise us all. Or McAfee will surprise us with his new tasteful video Lips sealed

That was I also learned about altcoins as the trend had flipped so it's hard to hold too many altcoins, since the road is getting rough for them. Just hold mainly bitcoin and eth and you'll be fine.

Oh MacAffee really have a sense of humor, every time. Grin
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the adult entertainment industry going towards tokenization? on: August 31, 2018, 01:51:39 PM
Many adult industries have used cryptocurrency to access their services. XVG has joined the adult film industry. for adult content projects that hold ico like vice industry tokens.
Do you think that give a huge impact to the XVG? That's even giving a huge bearish trend to the XVG because we know that crypto is focusing to change the traditional economic system to encourage the more adopters rather than try to focus on the adult industry and that doesn't make sense.

I'm actually lost in XVG when they partnered in pornhub sites like wtf? Is their team that desperate for this thing? Yes it doesn't make sense and it surely better to divert their token to something more sustainable and economical. And where we can see XVG now? It's rank 41in CMC and cost $0.014 from its 0.22 ATH, so tell me, is pornsites did a great job for XVG? Obviously, NO.

I don't think adult entertainment is a next mainstream for cryptos.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHİLL ME YOUR SHİTCOİNS on: August 31, 2018, 01:07:41 PM
Why you want to buy shitcoins?

You have an idea on what you are looking for why not look at those coins by yourself?

there is a thousands coins. ı found some but we need to share these shitcoins like 10b supply kind a shitcoins under  10 vital. these are pumping easly in these days

Seriously? Those 10B supply is already consider as a shitcoin because the value will surely struggle to increase so if I were you I won't bother. Grin

The chances of the price to increase is the chances of oil to mix with water. I don't know what OP is up to or he's just fond of collecting shitcoin, I guess. However we can put some of our hope to the team, if the team is really good and the lock up period is long plus the circulating supply is minimal then we can see some raise.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can ETF Decision make a negative impact? on: August 31, 2018, 12:17:41 PM
Of course yes. A new denial could once again bring bitcoin down.

The latest ETF decision remains virtually without a negative impact on the market. The price remains at a similar level before the decision was announced. Bitcoin is doing quite well without ETF.

Bitcoin in fact can survive without this ETF and it's actually just a new way of whales on how they manipulate the market. They're like using this issue to create fuds to people and every denied application means more people who will lose trust to bitcoin as so they'll dump. The delay on approval on ETF can push through any time this year, as long as the whales isn't done to accumulate.

And the moment we are used to this ETF issue and they see we're not that affected, they surely do something new.

153  Other / Meta / Re: what is actually our mission in the bitcointalk forum on: August 29, 2018, 09:43:49 AM
Having come into this platform of people who seemingly believe that this forum was created generally to support the growth and adoption of cryptocurrency I wish to ask this question that has been bugging my mind knowing fully well that comprehensive explanation of this issue will help newbies like me and largely because I saw some comment stating that this is the major concern of this forum at the moment.
it's depend
some people come for learn
some people come for earn
some people come for give
some people come for spam

You seems missing and don't know actually what's happening though it's forgiven that you're new here. So I guess you can't still see the worst spam thread whereas the spammers are flock and repeating what the others have said. And because they're spammers they tend to create garbage posts that in the first place didn't have any contribution in the forum. And as you go along here you'll realize some of the answers to your question is just right in front of you.

Once heard the word forum the first thing in our mind is there's an interaction between the members. They'll helping each other nor having different opinion that even they perceive differently yet they're creating a healthy relationship and conversation. So I think the mission now is to bring back the forum on how it really is.
154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL Reminder: Bitcoin Halving is just around 650 days away on: August 29, 2018, 08:22:18 AM
~
Just go back to the previous event and look at the price history. Everyone thought it was going to have a massive impact and we were very disappointed. ^grrrrrr^

Knowing how media and whales work with each other, you'll might be enlighten. It's just noticeable that the whales are just using the halving issue to push through the price and with the help of media mainstream they can disseminate small issues into a big and more complex issues. And in return the price will fully manipulated.

If you can remember last year, there's a lot of fuds about halving and idiots are spreading like a wild fire.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too High Bonuses: A Sign Of Scam Projects? on: August 29, 2018, 07:05:22 AM

Offering too high bonuses either locked up or not will still cause some form of uncertainty for investors and prompt weak hands to dump.

That might happen nevertheless if the product is solid and investors have their full trust to it then dumping will lessen.

50% for me is still reasonable especially for early investors but 70% to 100% is too much as it's more likely a give away.

Having too high bonuses isn't a strong basis to call an ico as a scam because it does have many aspects to look at.

solid product and investors with full trust aren't a guarantee that ICO will not dump on its first exchange. instead big holders will try to buy at lower price by dumping their big bonus and trigger panic sell.

big bonus is not a sign of scam ICO but a sign that the token will become whales toy

Wait, I didn't say that investors and solid product will guarantee that the token will not get dump but it will further lessen the chances of getting dump.

I see some icos that pointing fingers to bounty participants saying that they're the reason why the price fall but the truth is investors are the first who dumped their investment because they lose their trust to the product as well as the team. And it's vital if investor's trust are already ruined.
156  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: something that made me curious on: August 29, 2018, 06:14:44 AM
If the A invests $1000 in bitcoin, then the next day the price of bitcoin drops dramatically and the A loses $1000, which makes me curious, where does the $1000 A money go?

This just prove to me that there are some here that jumped into crypto market without the basic knowledge. So just what if you really loss that amount and surely you gonna spam the forum while cursing bitcoin.

Basically, your $1000 didn't loss as the value had just decrease and obviously, you'll just loss when you sell under the price you bought. And as the volatility is concern, it will bounce back into its initial price and somehow will pass beyond your capital. Your $1000 didn't go anywhere and it's just be there as long as hold it.

Crypto investment is riskier from what you think and if you didn't know how to deal with volatility, then it's game over.
157  Economy / Economics / Re: Are all cryptocurrencies destined to be store of value in the end? on: August 28, 2018, 02:04:33 PM
~
no one holds altcoins for years, most people only hold altcoins for a few weeks or months and then sell them in the market so it's obvious that such a coin cannot be a store of value.

That fits to recent icos token as their project isn't sustainable for long term but other altcoins that already established are the one worth holding.

As long as the volatility runs the cryptos it won't be a currency that it tends to be, IMO. It will be a store value because people are trusting yet have their desire that it will grow significantly though uncertainty is there.

As we know volatility is the greatest hindrance in embracing bitcoin because of the risk that the value will decrease and just few merchants have the proper awareness about it. Likewise, not being a currency is the basis for not acquiring a mass adoption, some aspects can be reconsider tho.

Shit i believe that picture is coming from my country and i am really in shame now.
Why are you ashamed of them, it's not your fault, and I'm not ashamed even though I come from the same country because they and I are different in "looking at this forum". instead, we have to prove that not all members are from Indonesia like them. who only searched for .002 BTC / week by breaking the forum rules (Spammer).

As long as you're not doing what they do and you're not adding garbage in the forum then you're free from guilt likewise some part of nationalism is getting hurt here.

And if the participant doesn`t reach it (not enough merits, bad history of posts, etc.), then he doesn`t get into the spreadsheet. Perhaps, instead of eliminating the very phenomenon of signature campaigns (which will have a bad effect on the website's traffic), it is necessary to establish certain rules for recruiting participants. If the bounty breaks them and reduces the set bar, then the admins will close it.

This may need ton of work from the staff to monitor a lot of bounty campaigns which obviously popping everyday. However, if this will push through we can see this forum the way it's used to be.

Also the bounty managers will get the full responsibility to this or else he'll be the one who will get in trouble. And to lessen the spam posts, manager will require their participants to at least have a particular merit, in this way people will force to improve their post quality. Or the least we can do is to review the post history of the participants before it gets accepted just like what we have in bitcoin campaign.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Attention bounty hunters - Amazix is scam! on: August 28, 2018, 09:23:08 AM

If they do find out plagiarism then you cant do anything about it and as being said its ban-able offense into this forum.

Yes they can claim it with plagiarism however it will be just if they can provide some proofs like screenshot or whatever that can support the accusations. You know sometimes some managers were over powered their position to their participants with unjust treatment and sometimes even unfit can make them see fit.

So once and for all, this amazix accusation isn't prove to be one so just participate at your own risk.
