141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Weak crypto-currencies. on: May 11, 2018, 12:24:13 AM
What cryptocurrencies do not need to be invested? What cryptocurrencies will bring loss? What do you think?

Sounds like a shitpost by someone who just wants something to post. This is a completely useless question.

If you want a cryptocurrency that will bring you loss just send me your money. I will make sure you lose them. Send me a PM i can send you my wallet address.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Iota buggy? Does it have potential? on: May 10, 2018, 11:47:23 PM
I've been really excited about the potential of IOTA, but a friend of mine says it's really buggy at the moment.  Is that true?  Does it still have potential or should I stay way.

Not to discount the fact that IOTA indeed has great potential, but the problem is development has been really slow and it already has been overtaken by competitors like IOST or IOS (internet of services). The thing is, the IOTA website rebrand is just front end, nothing has really still happened with the project.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore dose't work on: May 10, 2018, 03:33:51 PM
You will get MUCH fewer stale shares on Ethermine if you use the ssl stratum on the server closest to you e.g.

-epool stratum+ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555

Didn't realize this was a thing. Been mining to non-SSL server for a year now..
Is this specific to Ethermine or does this also apply to other pools like Nanopool?
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will mining will ever stop ? on: May 10, 2018, 03:31:28 PM
Hello people, i'm new in the crypto worlds , i have two questions please i need logic answers .

1 - will mining will ever stop Huh?

2 - what will happens when the cryptocurrency reaches it limits ( example : bitcoin 21M , ETH .... , and other curriencies ) ? will they win money after the currencies reaches its limits ?

thank you !

1. Mining will always be there, the correct question is "will mining ever stop being profitable?" This is based on fears that ETH will soon move to POS. When this happens, it will greatly decrease profitability of all mining rigs

2. When cryptocurrencies like bitcoin reach its max supply it will become a scarce resource. It will serve as a currency you can exchange but it will consequently increase in value.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Please recommend me 1 best Altcoin to buy on: May 10, 2018, 12:38:55 AM
Please recommend me your 1 best altcoin to buy. I have been researching so much for the next coin to buy but i am overwhelmed by all the choices. Dont recommend Eth, Ltc, Waves and Neo please. I own them already.

I would recommend buying XEM. Why? Because they have a solid product and are actually focusing on user adoption. They host so many events here in Asia and encourage developers to use their blockchain. The number of projects being built on XEM is even comparable to ETH and yet the difference in value is huge.

In summary, XEM is so undervalued and would therefore be a good buy.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PCI-e risers with exposed pads? on: May 10, 2018, 12:23:11 AM
I look for PCI-e risers that have exposed pads for power connection. Dealing with molex jr is pita and time consuming. Thanks for the responses.

Isn't it more time consuming to be doing some soldering or doing some custom work on risers? I haven't seen any with a barebones board and they seem to be sold as is. Not sure what you're trying to achieve but I mean molex is not good but it's a hell of a lot simpler and easier to plug it in.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin overhyped? on: May 10, 2018, 12:05:15 AM
Is Bitcoin overhyped?

It probably was back in november-december 2017 when bitcoin reached an all time high of $20k USD. Back then everyone was calling for bitcoin to breakthough all the way up to $50k. Sadly though, the hype died out and now we are back to $9k.

No worries though as surely people now realize the value of bitcoin and the new wave of investors are now real and organic.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold your ETH until cross 1k on: May 09, 2018, 08:39:23 AM
Now it's time to run for ETH.

I couldn't agree more. Ethereum is the future and people should really take the opportunity to buy more while they can at this price. Pretty soon there will be a lot of people regretting why they didn't buy when it was so damn cheap.

Don't miss the ETH train. Speculation conservatively places Ethereum at above $1000 by then end of this year. I predict it will be worth much more..

149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Electroneum (ETN) Mobile Miner on: May 09, 2018, 07:55:25 AM
The mobile miner is a giant leap forward in the cryptocurrency industry and will enable millions of users to get their hands on cryptocurrency with relative ease.

Yeah sure it will enable millions to get their hands on a USELESS cryptocurrency, with relative ease.

Electroneum has failed too many times to be actually taken seriously. They should have taken care of their ICO investors instead of launching a failed token and denying ICO investors from selling. Electroneum has wasted the $40 million dollar ICO funding they got and is blacklisted forever.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Choosing a suitable level for the stop loss on: May 09, 2018, 07:46:45 AM
🔸A wise trader puts his stop at a level where he has to assume that the trend is going to be broken, according to what the indicators tell him is possible or probable. Usually, this would be a broken trendline in the time frame he’s trading in, or a support level which gets broken.

This is the most common concept newbie traders fail to understand. When i was starting out, all i knew was simply "buy low, sell high." I didn't concern myself with stop losses, margin trades, or any other "technical" concepts. Not learning these things tho, is very counter productive when trying to profit from trading. You need to do your own research and really take time to learn if you want to be a successful trader.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: You missed all the trains, not just bitcoin on: May 09, 2018, 05:59:13 AM
NXT          2013-09-28            +1084215%
IOTA         2015-11-25            +418179%
Neo           2015-10-01           +354482%
Ethereum   2014-07-22           +265772%

And the recent ones...
Populous      2017-06-24          +12181%
QTUM          2017-03-12           +10091%

Be honest to yourself... you did have a chance!

Those numbers really put things into perspective. Can't argue with 10000% increases. The good thing is that it isn't over yet. There will be much more trains to come and this could still be anyone's opportunity to hop on. I would still look at Bitcoin and Ethereum as coins with the most potential to grow over the coming years.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC mining reasons Destroying future value of ZCash (ZEC) ? on: May 09, 2018, 03:40:58 AM
I was very disappointed when I heard that release a miner for the extraction of ZEC. It will be very good if the ZEC team changes the algorithm to support miners on GPU and altcoin decentralization.

Don't know if you guys just haven't read the news but, Zcash devs have made it clear that they will make Zec's ASIC resistance an "immediate technical priority." Wait till the news hits the fan. ZEC value will probably rise in the coming days. Could be a good opportunity to buy some today.

153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Had bad experience with any exchange? on: May 09, 2018, 02:39:21 AM
I especially want to know about these guys:
kucoin.com

KuCoin is a really good exchange. I' started using it a few months ago as a favor to a friend because he said he was going to receive referral bonuses every time i trade. Seeing as i only trade Ethereum a lot i moved from Poloniex to KuCoin and i must say i am HOOKED. KuCoin has simple and intuitive user experience that makes my trading enjoyable and more profitable too (low fees and many bonuses)!
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This can be addictive!! on: May 09, 2018, 02:24:32 AM
I'm a newbie and have been into crypto for a couple of months now.  I must say the advice from other members about not checking trades too often is very good.  One can become obsessed with it, and I think the thrill of the "win" can be quite addictive.  Similarly that depressed feeling when the world is "red" can be deflating as well.  There must be a "happy" medium, if one is to maintain a balanced life.

Exactly. I've almost lost my job twice because of my crypto addiction. I would always find myself if not checking prices of my latest coins or trying to get some good trades in, i would find myself on various crypto-related news websites searching for the next opportunity. Add to that my mining operation and you're pretty much balls deep into crypto.

Not much point to it tho (unless you are a whale) because you really need to be patient in order to get good gains.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buying for a long term. on: May 08, 2018, 11:57:18 PM
Buying for long term usually entails picking long term coins that have less risk of disappearing. Simply put, you need to invest in well-known and trusted coins. I like your picks but I would rather invest in the following:

1. Bitcoin
2. Ethereum
3. NEO
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 80% of altcoins will fail. Optimum strategy: picking 3 coins. No more. No less. on: May 08, 2018, 11:51:23 PM

The Pareto Distribution is a pervasive phenomena observed in nature, and it describes the 80/20 rule where 80% of the women have sex with 20% of men. 80% of wealth belongs to 20% of the population. 80% of your results come from 20% of your activities

Interesting take on things. I learned something new today.

If you had to pick only 3 coins I would bet my money on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and lastly, some NEO (because even if the price goes nowhere, at least you get free GAS).
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining still profitable? on: May 07, 2018, 01:48:45 AM
If you are wanting to use a VPS I would suggest looking into masternodes.  Basically, you lock a certain amount of a given coin away, and run a masternode.  You get rewarded for hosting a masternode in the form of more coins.  They can be lucrative.  Check out masternodes.pro and masternodes.online to get an idea of where you should start if you want to get into masternodes.

Have you ever tried running a masternode? It's one thing to talk about it but another thing to actually do it.

The problem with running masternodes is the cost. To run a masternode you need to have a certain amount of coins which usually costs a lot. I'd say the average minimum amount of BTC needed to run a masternode is 1 BTC and that is for shitcoins. Running a DASH masternode for example costs $200k USD. So yeah..
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet for begginers on: May 07, 2018, 01:44:11 AM
Which wallet would you say is the easiest to use ?

For beginners, I would highly recommend Coinomi. It's a multi coin wallet that supports numerous cryptocurrencies. The good thing about it, is that it also has a mobile app for both Android and Apple phones. Oh and you can also import/export private keys. Coinomi is great for overall use.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC + Air Conditioning = Safe? on: May 07, 2018, 12:03:38 AM
You just need to exhaust the air, no need for intake, matter of fact I'm against intake fans as it is very dangerous, add only exhaust fans and you should be fine, just make sure your exhaust fans are pulling the air from holes and if you dont have proper holes to how much air it needs for the exhaust fans then you need to make them, you need to calculate hole size and air m3 per minute.

Exactly. You just need an exhaust. It will make your room cooler and at the same time cost less in terms of power consumption.

I believe this has been discussed by mining veterans and airflow experts here previously.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you determine if an Altcoin adds real value to the community? on: May 06, 2018, 09:30:25 AM
How do you determine if an Altcoin has real value and longevity in the Market Place ?

Well for starters, here are some basic criteria that i consider:

1. it has to have a real world purpose and not just a fork that does nothing new.
2. it has to have a clear and do-able roadmap.
3. it has to have a competent development team made of real people and real experience.
