I'm a newbie and have been into crypto for a couple of months now.  I must say the advice from other members about not checking trades too often is very good.  One can become obsessed with it, and I think the thrill of the "win" can be quite addictive.  Similarly that depressed feeling when the world is "red" can be deflating as well.  There must be a "happy" medium, if one is to maintain a balanced life.

Go out and enjoy your life, the market is very volatile, you will get profit in the end but good things take time, don't panic sell, hold anything until you are on profit (exception exists).Good luck !

When you start to look at blockfolio every 5 minutes then you are classified as an addict! Lots of apps mean it is easy to track of things at all times, both at home and at work Wink but pace yourself, remember the real world. Crypto can be fun but when it all goes red like it has done this past week it is not so fun Sad

He should be alright if he keeps making money, if there is chance for him to get out the trade then he should do that at all times.

Couldn't agree more. I bought in at ITC at $1 and now it's around $3. If I watched everyday, I would've broken even. Always HODL

The trick is to allow yourself a maximum number of times you will open the app. Say you will open blockfolio 5 times a day. This strategy has worked for me, because otherwise I was opening the app every time I picked up my phone and it wasn't making me happy at all.

Crypto is very addicting, especially in the beginning. After that you learn to deal with the swings and how the markets work but starting off it is really tough to put down that phone. That is why I always stress having a proper routine outside of cryptocurrency. Whether that means getting in good workouts, hanging out with friends and family, or some alone time to do your hobby, you should do it. Whatever it means to you get a routine outside of cryptocurrency because that will go a long way in keeping your brain sane.

Everything is dependable on the profit you want to gain from your trades. People who got rich with the successful trades probably had neglected their social life a bit and committed themselves fully to the market system. The small percent of the investors which gained the bigger profit had the significant amount of the luck and their time was not so significant for their profit.
Even if everyone desires the wealth and richness from the market balance must be preserved between the market and the real life because in the end you can also get out with a loss and you will then ask yourself where did you spend all your time.
Life is short and watching all day at the market charts can be distressing and ungratefull. To be truly successful you must watch the happening in the market all the time but is that really needed when you have enough to be happy in your life outside the market curves and different coin portfolios?

Have the same addiction now.
It is like every 30 minutes I want to check the price of all my altcoins.  Grin
Now, that is all dipped, you would want to check it again and again to get the right timing to when you will sell.
Up to now, I still do that but be careful.
If I where you I would just let it stay in your wallet rather than the trading site.

It can be an emotional rollercoaster. But, you need to check your emotions at the door and use cold logic.

Somehow it also makes me sad.  Cry

But you cannot just stop it.
You will keep on looking at it as long as the value is moving.
Sadly, you cannot do much to make it swing to a higher price. All you can do is wait and monitor it then maybe go with the wave once it rise.

You know what's good about trading? You don't need to look at your portfolio instead hold it for 6-12 months or even more. Projects and developments are depends on developer they will release some catalyst that materialize more and coins will pump and traders will gonna sell or hold. Crypto is crazy and lots of addiction.

Well if you look at it every second it will blow your mind.
It's too fast and volatile. Just take a brake and follow periodically.
More frequent when you are buying and selling.

Yeah it can really take over your routine just constantly worrying about coin prices. That's why I'm looking for longer term solutions like coins that pay dividends and profit sharing. Pinkdate.is is the newest one I'm getting in on, it's still in pre-ICO too!

Yes you are right. You can be addicted quickly. That's why you need a good balance. Do sports or go out and enjoy your life with your friends.
Just leave your coins behind and do not think about your coins that often. It's best to delete all apps that have something to do with crypto that you really do not need.
Prices are falling and rising without you paying attention to them. That will not drive you crazy! Believe me.

If you do not think about the way your property is lost, instead, it's your chance to invest more with good coin at a very cheap price. Make sure you feel very happy. The cryptocurrency market is slowly recovering and I think investors should hold on to what they have and the opportunity is coming to you in the next few days.

Always remember that you can not earn all the money of the world. Therefore, relax, go out into the street, do not get frustrated with missed opportunities and invest in new interesting projects

Crypto can be addictive if its bull run season. Just hold don't sell anything all of us are going to be rich. Don't be depressed always think positive to much drama for bitcoin but after a good news all alts will follow ofcourse.
