Atleast its a sha-3 coin something a little different. Do I not need to forward a port through my router to the machine running the client??
Yes, you have to open a port. I don't know the port number, no sources with this sheeet coin. You can choose your own port by putting "port=1234" in your .conf file.

I get about 1 block an hour mining at 300 Kh/s. We're still on the 500 EZC blocks.

So there is no mining on the wallet and there is no pool yet? How am I suppose to mine this?
I'm pretty sure you can mine on the wallet by adding "gen=1" to the .conf file. But at this difficulty you'll definitely need a GPU to mine. You can use any of the popular miners like cgminer.

how long did it take you to mine a block? I still have A:0 , R:0 after 20 minutes; but I guess my humble 400kh/s are the problem...
leave it for a day, you'll probably get a few blocks.

What BitGem needs in the short term is a pool and a block explorer.

Somebody has updated node list?

GLDcoin, because it's the only coin that a large number of small miners could mine from start.
Right, only a select few knew about the launch of this coin. Sounds legit to me! As lame of a launch as MNC. Every noob on this board knew about it. Only select noobs mined the lionshare at launch(and of course the devs). My mistake. I only joined when it was announced in the alt-thread (hours after the noob thread announce) and I still got some, so there was plenty of time for everyone. Most of the noobs were CPU mining.

Add an option for 'None'. Some people might want all of them to stay

This also appears to be the reason for buy and sell orders that appear to be at the same price in the order book not executing, because there's a mismatch in the amount small enough that BTER isn't displaying enough digits.
This makes so much sense. I've seen orders at exactly the same price not matching. The developers aren't treating their floats properly.

GLDcoin looked like a scam, maybe it is, but it looks like a lot more people are paying it attention now that the other launches failed.
At least a lot of noobs got coins, instead of just the usual suspects with their new-coin-instamine farms.

Rather mine in your back yard. You have a better chance of finding Saxon gold buried there.

I've added a new p2pool. Here are the parameters: cgminer --scrypt -o next.afraid.org:8117 -u yourGLDaddress -p . statistics available here: http://next.afraid.org:81172% fee. ---- This one is up, tested, and fully reliable. That was quick. It looks good. I just got my first payout from it.
