141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been a victim of scams? on: January 04, 2018, 01:16:35 PM
There is a way to get key without keylogger.
If you copy paste your private key and leave it like that and not copy anything else when you enter some mystical website they could get your private key from the clipboard.

Here is example:

If this is not a secret can you write the token name? Maybe you could write how you found this token?
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Have you been a victim of scams? on: January 04, 2018, 12:02:16 PM
I am really interested in this topic and am writing Bachelor thesis about types of frauds on the internet. I believe it is serious problem and it is important to share your stories so others would be aware of these issues.

Please share your experience, where you faced scams, what were your losses, do you know anyone else who faced same issues?

Examples of scams:
1.) Shady Exchanges
2.) Pyramids and Ponzi Schemes
3.) ICOs
4.) Mining software with malware
5.) Emails from scammers.

I will be really thankful for your stories!

P.S. Please specify scam websites, token names or projects in order to bring awareness.

146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dell PSU NPS-885AB on: December 06, 2017, 02:06:15 PM
I've looked yesterday about 4h straight for some information about this PSU. Found only similar diagram for 750w PSU but it seems the pins are different.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Advice NEEDED - First mining RIG on: December 05, 2017, 02:30:34 PM
This PSU: Asus 450W A-45GA has the only 180w 15A for 12V and one wire for the card. You can use only one card without doubts.
But if you plan to use 3 or more video cards then you should consider changing PSU for higher wattage.

I've deleted my answer because the scheme was wrong.
Soon I will find you the right way to connecting wires.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can you please help me in correcting my understanding on: December 04, 2017, 02:19:59 PM
Nr 3 connects to the same PSU with the SATA connector.
I recommend not to use this wire that came with the riser but connect directly from your PSU.

Could you write down your model of your PSU?
Then I could make a schematic how to connect all the wires.

150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate not stable in Gtx 1070 on: December 04, 2017, 11:52:44 AM
There can be several variants:
1.) faulty video card memory.
2.) Driver problem.

Can you describe your wiring connections to both PSUs?
Did you try to run your rig with only one card and see if there are any fluctuation in hash rate?

Definitely looks like scam scheme
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why people are using nicehash? on: November 30, 2017, 04:25:34 PM
Usually Nicehash use newbies that are no so good informed about the concepts of mining. And it's easy to set up just install the software run benchmark and you good to go.

 You think like this?

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone using only a server psu with a standalone rig frame/rack? on: November 29, 2017, 08:53:22 AM
Yes, it's possible to run from one server PSU motherboards and all your psu's.  But you need to add 12V Pico Switch:

to your, server PSU be able to power the motherboard.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain power supply for gpu’s on: November 28, 2017, 04:11:56 PM
Yes, it's a good idea to use bitmain PSU for connecting video cards as long as cards are 6pin because most of the cards use 8 pin connectors then this PSU will not be the good investment.
There are plenty of server PSU you can buy cheaper than bitmain.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining pc configuration for beginners on: November 28, 2017, 03:42:42 PM
Stable build for 24/7 mining

CPU: G3900
MB: TB250-BTC Ver. 6.x
RAM: 4GB
SSD: 60gb or 120gb  but if you will use Linux flash drive 16 GB
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2
PCI-e Risers: VER 007   picture: https://imgur.com/a/76NMa
Case: you can build your own or buy from eBay

For Nvidia cards, I would recommend 1060 6gb budget ones or if you have more money then go for 1070
For Ati cards, I would recommend Rx 570 or 580 8gb versions.

But the cards can be cheap or very pricey because it depends on where you live and what prices are in your country.
My advice is based on prices that I have in my country.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8x GPU mining rig on: November 28, 2017, 01:43:08 PM
Without bios modding it's impossible to use 8 cards.
This topic is discussed in many forms with no luck.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mainboard for Multiple VGA? on: November 28, 2017, 12:44:05 PM
You can try this motherboard: ASROCK H81M-G  or ASRock H87 Pro4
Those are cheap and steady motherboards that work 24/7 without problems recognize all the cards without bios modding.
For PSU it's complicated to advise something because you not mentioned what kind of cards you will use.
Sample for 4 cards like 1060 6gb 120w 10A x 4 =  480w 40A + motherboard,CPU,raisers 90w 7.5A =  570 47.5A
I am not recommending you to use 600w PSU for 4 cards. At least you need some 750w PSU with  62A .
If you plan to add more than 3-4 cards I recommend to buy TB250-BTC Ver. 6.x or TB250-BTC PRO.
But if you will use cards greater then 1060 then you need PSU with greater wattage.
