Walsoraj sell all his bitcorn and buy ripple...

 Undecided

I bought XRP last August. Clearly, a noob trader move.

wha happund?
Jorge is manipulating the price downward with negative posts.
Sorry.  I forget that 1.3 billion Chinese hang from my words.

But do you know that an upside-down smile looks like a frown? That's must be depressing the market too.

I agree that correlation implies causation and that your assertion receives additional support from our opponents inability to explain otherwise.

Be advised that I troll around everyday with my head up my own ass. So you see, my portrait is really right-side up. Do you think the markets will react to this revelation, or respond indifferently to what remains frown-like in appearance?

ripple fucks bitcoin, that's what's happening here imo.

ripple is fuel that powers a network, a seemingly useless, centralized, closed source, network that no one actually uses, you might be right that its current pump is " taking liquidity out of BTC " but i can't believe these effects will be long lasting. idk who in their right mind would touch ripple after they double the supply overnight. i can't understand why its being pumped, or how the pump has managed to stick...

makes no sense! i dont get it! dont try to explain it to me, I don't wanna hear it.

It's not a pump.

Back when it had utility.

Whoever is operating the bot has accumulated 1750 coins already apparently and according to a redditor is throttling the purchases to prevent it moving the price upwards. We are still four days away from the auction. What does someone know? Smiley

Buy the rumor, sell the news.

The same thing that happened the last 11 months. Dumpers trying to take the price down as if it's their life mission. They won't rest till we reached $10 or lower. They just need to destroy this thing, no matter what.

$10 a bitcoin still makes it way stronger than most currencies. People forget how insane it is that our coins are worth $350 each.

Market cap is more important in this regard than unit price. At $10 per bitcoin it can be manipulated by just a handful of millionaires. This is not possible with regular currencies, so calling it ''stronger'' is far-fetched.

In this regard, marketcap is less important than the amount of fiat sitting on exchanges.

XRP is scamish looking as all hell, but I will say it went from .51 to.62 in a weeksince I bout $2.60 worth to set up ripple. Ripple is kind of cool, it allowed me to fund my BitStamp account in an hour with no wire transfer fees.

A mining algorithm that awards coins irrespective of market conditions is scammish as hell.

Read the primer pdf first. XRP's utility is that it secures the network and functions as a bridge/temporary currency.

Would the ripple fans please help me understand it?

Ripple is a system, based on cryptocurrency ideas but centralized, that banks can use for international remittances and interbank transfers of national currencies.

Ripple (XRP) is also the name of an altcoin, created by the same company that is developing the Ripple system; it is somewhat linked to the system, but is not a necessary part of the system, and probably will not be used by the banks that will use the system.

Is the above correct?

Thanks...

This RIPPLE thing sounds pretty interesting, could somebody please tell me something about it! Thanks

White papers here: https://forum.ripple.com/viewtopic.php?t=4301

Bitcoin = AOL. Ripple = the internet. The smart money is currently moving into Ripple.
How? Ripple Labs doesn't sell stock shares.

See previous posts. XRP is like a stock that Ripple issues as the market develops. More issued as liquidity increases. Can buyback if liquidity fades. Much better mechanism for distribution than mining.

XRP recovers much faster than BTC. Interesting.

XRP has 45% pre-mine. Interesting.

Except there is no mining. Ripple Labs recognized that cryptos behave like stocks and built a protocol that embraces this. Interesting.

...and kept 45% for themselves.

Which would be scammy if there were a mining mechanism. However, it is not unusual for a company to hold a large share of its own stock.
