Did you get a perma-mute?  If not, you might want to just shrug it off.  I have been muted at sites before for nothing, and I also get a post here and there deleted from these forums.  It almost seems random what gets deleted, but there is no point in fighting with a mod, they are just trying to do their jobs.  So I just shrug it off.  Stress kills, so relax and be happy Smiley
142  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Discussion: Essay contest to win a house - $100 each entry on: July 06, 2015, 09:48:51 PM
I would be interested in this, what city is it in?  I think you will get more interest if you were to advertise this locally.  But I think there are specific laws about this kind of thing, so you should talk to a lawyer to see if this is possible.  You might also have some luck working with a charity, they could promote the raffle for you and keep some of the proceeds.  Good luck!
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: #EarnBitcoin on: July 05, 2015, 11:20:25 PM
I hope to see this too.  It is sort of a catch 22, we won't see wages in bitcoins until we have wider adoption, but paying in bitcoins would make for wider adoption.  It seems to be getting some nice media attention with the  Greece thing, so you never know what is on the horizon.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ** Sports Predictions - Free - (Wins:0/Loss:0) - New Start ** on: July 05, 2015, 03:46:05 PM
LOl wmba, I forgot about that.  I like the format of this thread, and thanks for the picks.  I will keep an eye here to see your accuracy.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The BITTREX de-listing SCAM on: July 05, 2015, 03:19:58 PM
The worst thing about this bittrex stuff is that whether or not they are intentionally scamming, because they are so fast to delist coins, it really makes for pump and dump.  You are forced to sell coins that you might want to keep, and if you are not checking the site all the time, then oyu will just lose the coins.  I have started to use other exchanges in stead because of this.  I had a small stash of epy for example.  The price dropped to nothing, but so what, I can just hold.  But it gets the delisted message, so I transfer to another exchange.  But the transfer never goes through, and both exchanges say it is not their fault.  Meanwhile epy has a rally and my coins are lost in limbo somewhere.  So I miss out on an opportunity to make some money.  I am not crying because I only had some dust in there basically, but it is still annoying.  I wish they would not delist so fast on there.

I've been in their IRC channel doing basic support and I've NEVER seen anyone not get their coins.

LOL I guess since you never seen it, it never happens.  HA!  Anyway, I don't like their policies with coins either.  Plus their fees are higher than the competition.  I don't use them as much as other exchanges, which is too bad because I like their interface.  Right now Poloniex is my favorite exchange but they are all changing pretty fast so that could be different tomorrow.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: July 05, 2015, 07:29:25 AM
So I was thinking of a solution to the problem of disconnects, mostly because I have this problem sometimes.  What if a wallet was bundled with the QTL trader?  You could store your coins directly in there, in stead of on an exchange.  Then it would not have to check the exchange for holdings?
147  Economy / Gambling / Re: The PrimeDice Rakeback Program! on: July 04, 2015, 05:05:21 PM
So just to be clear, this is not an official rakeback offered as part of the site, but a service you are offering to get some referrals?  I like the idea, and if I decide to gamble there this is a good option to pad my gains/losses a bit.  Good luck Smiley
148  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in poker players with bitcoin? on: July 04, 2015, 05:02:23 PM
This is an interesting idea, I never heard of directly backing players before, only loaning them money.  So why would a big player pay me 50% of his wins, or whatever, when he could just take a loan for a much smaller %?  I guess the advantage to the player is that if he loses then he is not on the hook for a bunch of money he doesn't have.  I like the idea, but it seems very risky too.
149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want bitcoins. on: July 04, 2015, 04:48:58 PM
Just my opinion:

-Gambling: forget it.  Just don't do it.  OK, so you can gamble, but I strongly suggest you ONLY use dust from faucets (that you got for free).  Math always wins, and math says that the house always wins.  DONT gamble it is a fast way to lose your money.  I only gamble for entertainment, not as a way to generate income.

-Buying: yes!  There are some sites to check out.  Coinbase lets you use ach transfer, other you can use a wire to move fiat around.  Coinbase charges a 1% fee, other exchanges only charge their standard fee (usually ~.2%).  So if you are moving a small amount of cash then coinbase is cheaper, but if you are moving more than maybe 6k or so, you might be better off with a wire.  You need to do the math based on how much you want to move.  Also, keep in mind that whatever exchange you use, you can move your bitcoins away from there in minutes, so if you don't like their features you can move the coin somewhere else that has better features for you.  If you plan to not use the coins at all, I strongly suggest that you put them into storage, and DONT leave the coins in an online wallet.  Things are pretty secure online, but best not to take the chance.

One more thing, if you are moving A LOT of bitcoins, like you are rich or something, you might want to look into a mixing service.  Contrary to popular belief, bitcoins is not anonymous, and you can become a target if you have a crapton of money sitting in the same wallet.  With a mixer you can divide into different wallets and it will be anonymous, and no hackers will know that you are sitting on a fortune.

-mining: the main thing here is cost of electricity.  Where I live it is 20 cents kwh, so there is basically no way I can ever make money mining with the current technology, not even with undervolted modified stuff.  Plus my electricity is tiered.  But if you only pay 10 cents or less, you might be able to make money with mining.  Most people will tell you not to bother, and if you are not willing to put in a lot of effort, I would agree.  I think that mining for profit isn't very easy, so be prepared to work for it.

So welcome to the world of bitcoins, and good luck Smiley

152  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Btc-multiplier.pw - Double bitcoin in just 100 hours - 15% Refferal on: July 03, 2015, 11:27:54 PM
This is interesting, but I am curious how you expect to keep it going?  Obviously it is a full blown ponzi, so what is your plan to keep paying out?  Because eventually the money will run out.
153  Economy / Gambling / Re: Urgent! Any site allows me to bet on Sunday's Greek vote? on: July 03, 2015, 11:24:08 PM
Sweet!  I didn't even think about betting on this.  I guess I already did gamble on it because I sold some stocks.  I just get the feeling that Greece, or anyone else, wants this to end well.  Game theory: everyone loses!

So how do you guys see the vote coming out?  I might actually wager on this, it is a really interesting g bet to make.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DRKT] Full POS Multipool trading on BITTREX, C-Cex, Yobit and Bluetrade on: July 03, 2015, 11:21:18 PM
The price is really low on this thing.  I feel that if the dev would post here more often with updates then we would see more support from the community on the markets.  Anyway it is a good coin to gamble on at this price, throw .1 btc in it or something, just to see what will happen.  Either lose big or win big, I think that is how this coin will end up.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: July 03, 2015, 03:13:11 PM
Hello, I just got this bot, and I am interested in using it through a server, like the one on amazon.  But I have zeero knowledge on this, is there a guide for noobs somewhere on how to set this up, or do I just drop the files, click the exe, and away it goes?

Look like a nice bot, but I hope that the dev picks up the slack soon, it is looking like abandonware at this point.  Plus I think the price of qtl is suffering from this.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Former Silk Road DEA Agent Pleads Guilty to Bitcoin Theft on: July 02, 2015, 04:46:10 PM
I hope this dirtbag gets put into the same prison that houses some of the people he busted over the years.  Unbelievable.  And the crazy thing is he got caught, you would think an agent would know how to get away with this stuff, lol.
157  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: CRYPTOSDOUBLER new system! double your coins with compounding! starts 3rd July on: July 02, 2015, 04:28:50 PM
You are the same admin of cryptosx2
and you steal my money  Angry

This is a game with clear rules, is up to you to invest or not.

This is like if you say that a casino did steal your money.

So is this a game or a hyip?  How does it work?  I like chain-profit, is it something like that?
158  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Would you invest in a ponzi where the owner cannot run away with the money? on: July 02, 2015, 04:26:37 PM
I voted no, because it is not likely that you will come up with a scheme that I want to participate in.  Have a look at chainprofit, I like that scheme because it is 100% transparent, and it gives the admin an incentive to NOT take the money and run, because he will make far more if he can get a decent volume.

If you can come up with a good system like that one, then I would change my vote.  Please post an ANN thread when you release your idea, I will look out for it.
159  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin really save Greece? on: July 01, 2015, 03:51:11 PM
No, changing the currency will do nothing for the nation.  It might have helped individuals who were wise enough a few weeks ago to switch, but imo it is far too late for that sort of thing.  Their money is locked down in the banking system, so at this point the only thing that will help them is a solution.  But nobody can agree on what needs to be done, so the crap will hit the fan soon.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What "else" bitcoin need to get destroyed ? on: July 01, 2015, 03:40:22 PM
Or maybe most people aren't interested on those features that they will likely never need...

Low fees is your own problem.. You don't need the debit cards and shit if you use a mobile app..

Yes, I always though tit is strange to have a bitcoin card.  It is so easy to not need one, why pay the extra money?  But like you said it is a personal problem, I will stick to low cost wallet transactions myself Smiley
