I'd expect it to at least bounce around in the triangle a little more, but bull season should be upon us soon.
I hear this for over 8 months now, so its a bit hard to believe... It would be better if we save the air wasted to it, because if even 10% of what i read on this forum is true, we need it when we are in the stratosphere...

can't we just close the stupid FUD topic??

the 880 the others draw too much power for the stock psu.

This is a good question. Has anyone else looked into this, and are you wasting your time OCing these units?
intriguing... Curious also, and as i had just laying around some miners and a watt meter, i have performed a little test: 500Mhz 10.8TH 4.9Amps 1120W w/th:103 550Mhz 11.8TH 5.35Amps 1220W w/th:103 600Mhz 12.8Th 5,8Amps 1330W w/th:103 650Mhz 13.7Th 6,25Amps 1445W w/th:105 700Mhz 14.4Th 6,8Amps 1570W w/th:109 793Mhz 15Th 7,7Amps 1750W w/th:116 overclocking is NOT profitable... (on this miner...) i also have one running 793Mhz squirting 16.2TH. Assume numbers are equal, it would do 108W/TH best: add miners...

great i see we found another block! the second one in 3 days. I am using only one s9 at 13.5 th/s in this pool and for the most recent block my reward was .00015387. I want to stay in this pool but i am not sure it would be profitable vs other pools as in other pools my block reward is about .00004 per s9 and getting on average of 10 blocks per day so that would be .0004 on average per day per miner. without 4 blocks a day on average I dont see how I can make the same as the other pools i belong to - and i have my s9's spread out as I am participating in 5-6 pools at a time.
am I looking at this wrong? is there higher profits in a small pool or a in a large pool? I get that the rewards are less frequent but larger and the latest reward was close to 4 times what the other pool is paying per block, the difference is the other pool is finding 10+ blocks per day so I am getting more rewards, although smaller. I see this is the 23rd block in the month, if i had been here the entire month, those rewards would be approx the same as about 100 block rewards on the other pool - but in the same time period with the other pool, I might have 230 block rewards. so seems like it is only half as profitable here for me --- at least with 1 miner.
I may need to bring over all my miners to be a larger % to make it worthwhile.

@Taserz: Can you explain to me where the message is for that it can last up to 3 hours before actually mining?
Strange thing i notice today: I have bought a bunch of used S9's for a good price, and some are as good as new, but first models. (older hashboards also; 4.0) Now, i have 3 of my own miners running on the 880 FW and 793Mhz, stock psu, making 16-16.5Th each. So, it was quite a safe bet to do the same with these other miners; flash the 880, throw 793 at them, and go. After not even 5 minutes, they quit on me; psu overloaded. (never had this with my own...). Also, the first i flashed, gave me one board with 5.5TH, one with 4,19, and another with 4.3. Seems to me that 2 boards cant handle it. Now i wondered: is this the 3 hour break-in period, or should i start swapping boards amongst miners in order to have the best selected and oc'd?
Can you give me your thoughts about this?
Thanks!

i didn't want to complain... Its just that we were so well on route with those bright green's, its a bit disappointing again to get back to "regular" values of luck... Added that there's extra help due a failover setting of someone, one would think this block be'd cracked sooner.. (i know, not the whole 54hrs, but it should help, right?)
|
|
|
then it's good news! it's already 408 PH waiting for a block yeah... 54hours already.... Even with +400Ph... crack that bock!!!

is there ANY graph thats predicted at least 6 months ago, that gives a correct graph to the market?
i mean: i see so many "specialists" grabbing a pencil and flutter some lines on a graph, but afterwards its always easy. Now do it forwards and let the future proof you have your insights... Maybe in the future we actually can act on a graph...
until now: even a monkey can predict flow, charts, and prices with similar results...
So why bother?
A: cheese B: 42 Make your choice... i'll take cow, and second 94

hi,
What is best efficiency/hash setting for the 841? Thought it was a bit better as the bitmain..

20TH is not that much i guesss... i do 16.8 with my s9's... (true; at 1670W, but at 1/3th of the purchase price...)
i hoped on better hashrates, as many others also have higher hashrates (at more power..)
yeah, I guess better things to come with Avalon A941 then. Meanwhile we can offer offer this machine right now. Yes, but who would even consider to buy it...? Currently this machine is rougly same level as Inno but cheaper. Whatsminer can not be legally imported to Europe due to missing certificats. So this makes it the best availavle hardware for european market right now. that's not what the spec's say.... Specs say its a hair improvement over a S9J that cost' one third of this machine.... Old tech in new jacket. That's what it seems to be.

ok, pitty.
It was a nice try to get familiar with Avalon, wanted to try one and get familiar with it, in order to know it when the new series come out.

iirc it was previously with psu included? Only extra cost' were the raspberry controller and shipping?

i think its quite simple and safe to say that 3k is just impossible, as mining 1btc cost more than that. At worst, people stop their equipment temporarily, and diff goes down, making it more profitable again, thus prices go up again, making people turn it on again. Also, there is simply too much money related to btc to go that low. Think about jobs, space rent, builders, constructors, computer equipment, mining andchip fabrication etc. Its a whole industry... It doesn't just collapse. No where near possible...
If the mining cost is more than $3000, nobody will mine bitcoin because nobody will bear deficit after hardships and spending their time in mining. When there is no mining, there will be no supply of bitcoin in the market and the price will go up automatically. Then the miners will start their work. If all the people lose their money and waste their time then cryptocurrency would be no value. that's basically my post you quoted...
