144  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Devastation on: February 24, 2014, 07:52:21 PM
Due to the nature of our online ministry we try to keep abreast of what's going on in the world. Many of the questions our readers ask have to do with news items and how world events fit into biblical prophecy. This keeps us "on our toes" researching and reading several news sources.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: Price of gold manipulation on: February 24, 2014, 07:49:10 PM
The Federal Reserve seems to be trapped. The Fed is creating approximately 1,000 billion new US dollars annually in order to support the prices of debt related derivatives on the books of the few banks that have been declared to be “to big to fail” and in order to finance the large federal budget deficit that is now too large to be financed by the recycling of Chinese and OPEC trade surpluses into US Treasury debt. The problem with Quantitative Easing is that the annual creation of an enormous supply of new dollars is raising questions among American and foreign holders of vast amounts of US dollar-denominated financial instruments. They see their dollar holdings being diluted by the creation of new dollars that are not the result of an increase in wealth or GDP and for which there is no demand.

Affluenza...better known as spoiled, entitled and unaccountable.
No sympathy for the kid; only his victims.

148  Other / Politics & Society / Re: On African Poverty and Oil on: February 24, 2014, 07:41:29 PM
It's time to leave OPIC's GHG cap alone, and let them get back to the great work they're doing supporting the entrepreneurs who are out there building the future we want to see. A future where climate and development are solved with 21st century clean energy technologies - not the mindset, policy framework, and 19th century technologies that will leave hundreds of millions of Africans in the dark.
149  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Hunger Games on: February 24, 2014, 07:40:15 PM
Some plot threads are underserved but The Hunger Games is a fascinating and disturbing character drama that successfully captures the core themes of the book.

Google are an NSA backed money making machine - if they ever feel things are unfair they can chuck money at the problem until it goes away.
151  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why you American's hate freedom? on: February 24, 2014, 07:32:41 PM
Americans love freedom... but only their own freedom... the rest of the world for them is a training ground for their weapons
152  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neoliberalism: Free to Be Hungry on: February 24, 2014, 07:30:02 PM
"Neo-liberalism" is a set of economic policies that have become widespread during the last 25 years or so. Although the word is rarely heard in the United States, you can clearly see the effects of neo-liberalism here as the rich grow richer and the poor grow poorer.

"Liberalism" can refer to political, economic, or even religious ideas. In the U.S. political liberalism has been a strategy to prevent social conflict. It is presented to poor and working people as progressive compared to conservative or Rightwing. Economic liberalism is different. Conservative politicians who say they hate "liberals" -- meaning the political type -- have no real problem with economic liberalism, including neoliberalism.

"Neo" means we are talking about a new kind of liberalism. So what was the old kind? The liberal school of economics became famous in Europe when Adam Smith, an Scottish economist, published a book in 1776 called THE WEALTH OF NATIONS. He and others advocated the abolition of government intervention in economic matters. No restrictions on manufacturing, no barriers to commerce, no tariffs, he said; free trade was the best way for a nation's economy to develop. Such ideas were "liberal" in the sense of no controls. This application of individualism encouraged "free" enterprise," "free" competition -- which came to mean, free for the capitalists to make huge profits as they wished.

154  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pussy Riot on: February 24, 2014, 07:25:25 PM
Apparently after being sprung from a Russian hoosgow, our maternal protesters, jetted  away for international appearances and to hang with those titans of democracy, Yoko Ono and Madonna, without dropping in  to see their beloved children.  I smell a cash out and they have met two of the best cash cows. I dislike the dishonesty of  cheap performance art, which on the surface is appears to advance Russian ( and other) human rights but reeks of self indulgent self-service. They are a poor imitation of the great Russian protestors, Alexandr Solzenitsn. If this is the best of the Russian protestors- it is sad.
155  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Study: Everyone hates environmentalists and feminists on: February 24, 2014, 07:20:35 PM
I don't hate feminists. Real feminists where the women that fought for their right to vote, and have an equal chance for success in our society. They stood up for their rights when it was insanely difficult to do so. They lived in a world that looked down on them because of their gender from the day they were born and fought tooth and nail for equality.

Modern day feminism is just a bunch of whiney self-aggrandized emo 20 somethings who subscribe to a philosophy that is as pseudo-intellectual as religion for the most part. There are a few people left who knew what it was originally about but not many. They make a mockery of the sacrifice and work their parents did.
156  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Amazon's history should teach us to beware "friendly" internet giants on: February 24, 2014, 07:17:38 PM
What is appealing to Amazon.com from a consumer standpoint is they stand behind their products and they provide excellent, timely customer service.
Amazon figured out early in the game that most consumers were not keen to buy things from cyberspace, so they made the process friendly and non-threatening. They made it easy to return a purchase with no arm bending. It is not an accident they have grown as big as they have.

157  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people think income tax is ok? on: February 24, 2014, 07:15:40 PM
Who think that? I dont think like that...
Present taxes are a robbery. Present taxes must be abolished. You have heard the "White Berets" repeat these two sentences many a time. You might believe that they are but pure propaganda slogans used to strike the imagination!

A businessman who stopped by the "Michael" Office, told us as he left our house: "I am very happy with my visit here. I learnt something that I did not know : that the present taxes are truly a robbery, that they must disappear and can disappear. I did believe that your posters only expressed a slogan. But I now see that it is a truth established on solid arguments."

A young student of the University of Ottawa attended one of our meetings. He declared that he was delighted to finally understand how public works could be financed without taxes by a provincial credit system, and how the withdrawal and issuing of money would be done by a Social Credit financial system.

Present taxes are a robbery. We will repeat this with conviction and obstinacy until they are abolished. For they are the ruin of our families and of society.

The income tax, with its intolerable reports, is a nightmare for all. The property tax and school taxes that constantly increase, that chase the families from their homes, snatch farms and enterprises from the hands of those who built them; the school taxes of the small towns have already chased towards the cities the heirs of the country's founders.

159  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm gathering all theories about Satoshi Nakamoto on: February 24, 2014, 07:07:14 PM
The CIA
Japanese names are presented with the surname first, this would make it Nakamoto Satoshi
In Japanese , Nakamoto means "central origin", while Satoshi means "clear thinking, quick witted,, wise", i.e intelligent. The name can therefore be translated to mean "Central Inteligent"
Smiley

Since Nakamoto Satoshi is a Japanese name, shouldn't that be Japanese Central Intelligence?  Unless you want to say it's romanji then it might be Gaigin Central Intelligence or perhaps, CIA in Japan. However, I haven't seen a single instance where the last name came first so it must instead mean, intelligence central, which suggests Satoshi is not American.

If Nakamoto means central origin or "Source" and Satoshi means "Wisdom", Shouldn't the name mean "Source of Wisdom" or simply "Source Code?"

Well i have one more theory:
Samsung, Toshiba, Nakamichi & Motorola:
 Four technology companies
 All based in Japan
The four companies would definitely have enough knowledgable people working for them to create such a concept, and cover their tracks well

Cheesy
