141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any advice for a newbie? on: July 27, 2018, 01:39:14 PM
Hi guys,
Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided
I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.
Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???
Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.
cheers

welcome to the blockchain, now as newbie what you should do now is to read up the projects before you participate do proper research on those projects and make sure you stay away from scam projects.

143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we bitcoin transaction refundable? on: July 23, 2018, 06:24:09 PM
Why do you want to make Bitcoin transactions refundable? No monetary system or currency in the world offers refunds. The Dollar, Euro, Yen, Yuan, the list goes on...none of them offer refunds.

To do so you'd need to centralize the administration of transactions.

Additionally, how do you verify that a refund request isn't fraudulent?

You've got the following concerns to contend with:
  • Verifying that a refund request is legit (and not fraud)
  • Suspend or hold the value of transactions for whatever grace period is allowed to honor refunds
  • Figure out how to handle refunds requested of wallets that no longer have funds to recover it

It's companies and people that offer refunds, not currency, not monetary systems. If you want refundable bitcoin transactions then only transact with companies or people that are willing to refund your transaction.

that is perfectly the truth because all the currency listed above has no refund so why should bitcoin has refund. now one thing there is that; this is blockchain everything is decentralized so to all the transactions has it's own records but it can't refund it mistaken send to the wrong address, during transaction make sure that the wallet you are using perfectly right and negotiate with the third party before doing transaction as well you have a middle man that will stand in respect of the transactions that you are doing, I think with it will be ok but talking of refunding is no possible.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is happening with Etherdelta? on: July 23, 2018, 02:55:10 PM
I tried to access Etherdelta for the past hour and it seems that I am not moving past the Cloudflare check or DDoS check before it goes to the actual website. It is looping back to the said check over and over even after opening it in new tabs. Does anyone experiencing the same thing? What is going on with Etherdelta?

it all depends on your network and the system you are working, try to use 7G computer or laptop to work you will see the fast opening if it.
know in blockchain what we need is faster and powerful system to work with.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is better than banknotes on: July 23, 2018, 02:51:15 PM
The infographic shows the 10 most popular banknotes worldwide with its anti-counterfeiting security.
There are thousands of million dollars counterfeit circulating worldwide. Just in The US the FED said 7.3 We conclude that the total value of counterfeits in circulation at any moment is approximately $70 million or about one note in 10,000, and is highly unlikely to exceed
$200 million, or about 2.5 in 10,000.

it's costly for the society (more regulations, more resources to deter, individual or business accepting it accidentally >direct loss,...) Counterfeit money exists since the Ancient Rome at least, and it can destroy a government and its economy. Even the Nazis were counterfeiting the USD and GBP (Operation Bernhard) If only 1% of your circulating currency is fake your government is out. It can't borrow money anymore, business will stop to accept the currency, and since it's the only one, then the economy will be dead.

Do you know how many Bitcoin has ever been counterfeited since10 years? ZERO !

actually the answer is zero because since I have joined bitcoin, I have heard of bitcoin is counterfeit whereas I have listened to many news about fake
currencies over the world, now this is the main reason why bitcoin should be adapt in all the countries to reduce rate of fake currencies. even in my country the rate at which fake currencies going round is much.
now how we detects those fake currencies is from the market women, because fake currencies is easily detected with water.
146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to protect yourself from Crypto Scammers on: July 23, 2018, 02:40:08 PM

Whata great idea lol 😂 😂 😂

This is really truth, how can you be a victim if you put nothing from those.
But kidding aside i believe that this is the better way to do,since 95% of ico now are just scams, and they are very good on this that you wont even recognized that scamming unless it happens

sure that is really the truth about it because most ICO's or project are scam but you know till the project is being announce as scam project.
now we have to be careful with projects on this forum because the fake bounty project.
147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market has run down again on: July 22, 2018, 12:23:18 PM

well in most cases market will not remains stable, so sometimes we have to especially now that the market is on red.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀🚀🚀 [BOUNTY] 🚀🚀🚀GeoManna Platform 🚀🚀🚀 3.000.000 GM Rewards on: July 21, 2018, 11:29:50 AM

149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to reinvest into ETH? on: July 21, 2018, 11:23:01 AM
I hopeall of us are eagerly waiting for the bullrun a similar one which we have experienced last year ? Most profitable investment was ethreum and I am just wondering if it's going to be the same this year? Is it the right time to reinvest into ethreum?
yes this is the right time invest on ether because the long run the came up last year will surely happen this year, so I advised to buy and hold on ether and other altcoin.
150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you now going to hold when the market is red? on: July 18, 2018, 10:51:58 PM
All of a sudden bitcoin jumped from 6.5k to almost 8k today. I believe those who made panic selling are very disappointed now. This is the reason why i said bitcoin investment is not only about risk taking. Am pretty sure no old member sold thiers at that cheap. Sometimes experience counts. Never think bitcoin is gonna die

well I have learnt from my past experience about holding, sometimes is very good holding while some times is bad, I m can only hold bitcoin and Ethereum, but can't hold any token because it may likely be pump and dump. but if bitcoin decreases there is every potentials that I most rise one day including Ethereum.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually use Bitcoin? on: July 16, 2018, 05:34:02 PM
As far as I am more and more in it, I can do some conclusions.

1) People are mostly not using the Bitcoin (altcoins as well);
2) Crypto-enthusiasts are real enthusiasts only when the price goes up;
3) Even considering there are more crypto-companies appear which offer their services, and more people join our community - the level of crypto education and adoption is still very low;

Almost 95% of all people in crypto I know personally are holding or trading, but not using it to its functionality. I cannot judge anyone for this, but let's be honest - it won't bring you any money if you just will buy it and wait.

So, there is a question: "How much of you use Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency to its full capacity?" I am curious about this because as for now it looks like there is only a small group of people making some contributions.

I have been using crypto for my daily transaction, in my country most of the restaurants now accept crypto, just made some payment using cryptocurrency.

hy all
sorry i recent found out that most of the airdrop which we are participating are fake.
how could you work for airdrop at last they paid you and it worth's nothing or it has not been listed on exchange, even it is listed the amount of token given to you can't even cover the gas fee. just take a look of that, is it good?
then some of airdrop are to freez your system immediately which you can't have any access to control your system. i have been hack by airdrop and they mad away all my token just a simple click.

please reason why i decided to drop this message is that i don't you want to fall victim, because it pains for you to work for the entire months someone just came from no were and made away with your hustle without pity. so  be careful

please drop your opinion let's reason together,
thanks.

yes that is fucking truth about the airdrops, the rate at which people are being hacked is much now so we have to limits all this airdrops of 1 token and 3 token just take a look at my wallet you will nonsense https://ethplorer.io/address/0x6c716b6a1d36c881c43fa493aacd2609d52e9ce1

please be wise and don't do airdrops that are not reasonable!!!
154  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ERC20 Exchange (DEX) on: July 07, 2018, 11:43:30 AM

155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: my ether wallet pvt key just hacked on: July 07, 2018, 11:40:12 AM
last night some hacked my pvt key and steal all my eth and major eth tokens

can I secure my eth address or its now in control of hacker ?  Huh

so sorry about this sudden incident, that is the problems with ethereum wallet please don't expose your details to external body to avoid being hacked. secondly wen ever you trade in some major exchanges like forkdelta, etherdelta please recollect to remove your private key; I mean logout before you close the window. they hack through exchanges.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest wisely on: July 06, 2018, 03:58:44 PM
It's getting ridiculous here. People are now investing just because of the hype or just from watching the scores given by Icobench, ICOratings etc.

You're doing it wrong. You should look at the team and the experience they have, whether this project exists already (e.g we have Monaco, TenX, Centra, MoxyOne and many others) and none of them actually delivered 100% what they promised etc. so unless you really see the potentials on the project, you really shouldn't invest. Ignore the moon bullshit they are trying to feed you.

This is valid for both bounty hunters (because they are wasting their time) and ICO participants (wasting money).

yes sir, this  perfectly right because most of this project are just to scam people who don't know there left and right... most people just want to invest because the project have a great future or they are pumping the coin.
to me have some reapable reason that will make to me invest in those or such project, just as you have listed above.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or REGRET!!! on: July 01, 2018, 07:58:05 PM
I'm really disappointed with myself now because of Verge. Way back June 2017, I bought $200 worth of XVG and I sold it last week a day before the pump happened. It could be worth more than $5k now if I just HODL. Cry Well, I need to move on and learn from this mistakes. This will be a lesson for me to have patience and wait for the right time to sell my coins. The reason why I sold it was because I need more funds to buy another coin. I'm happy with the coin I bought because I can now see that it is now starting to pump. Maybe, I'm just half disappointed every time I'm seeing the current value of Verge. I bought some XVG again and will surely hold it this time. Smiley I hope that this experience of mine can be a good example for everyone especially the newbies in this community.

sure that is true, i have once fallen down that way; now my own experience was on MTC (Docademic) i have 10000mtc and which was 0.09 wen i sold mine the most painful thing is that wen i sold it 1 to 2 weeks interval the coin was pump to 0.6 x 10000 = $6,000 which I have been holding this coin for the past two to three months.
so what you are saying is true. we have to be patients in terms of selling out token.
