141  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: December 20, 2023, 06:09:19 PM
Looking at the requirements of setting up an online casino, the website design wouldn't be much of a concern. A legitimate casino has more problems to solve like getting a license, attracting multiple game providers, setting aside whopping amounts of money for paying winners, etc. The site may look cloned, but it's not, because of the back-end programming, that legit casinos would want to prioritize and customize to their taste. Most casinos I've visited have similar GUI or layouts, but that doesn't mean they all clone or copy from each other. I'd say that the interface is what is needed to portray the games they offer, live chats, partners, etc. Working with a different script or theme where the visitor would have to look for the qualities or factors won't convert the visitor easily to gamble on the site. Features are meant to be sampled first to attract the interest of the player to wager or deposit money. Mak013 is right, in his last line of words.

Once a site is registered and has a gambling license hosted offshore or somewhere in the USA, I don't think they should need to fear whether they're genuine or not. The gambler must research and gather information about the casino on review sites. Scam casino sites, to my understanding, do not bother about getting any license, they only get a clone of a famous casino and then do some ads and SEO to lure victims to the website. And this happens because of the fast growth of online casinos, as you said. Hence players are expected to gamble with aged online casinos and endeavor to do their research. Website template similarities have nothing to do with that aspect of recognizing scam casinos. Creating an online casino requires lots of money; millions of dollars. A casino wouldn't spend all that money to scam people and then miss out on the opportunity of staying in the market for a long time. When bathed with negative reviews all over the internet, the casino would fall and lose customers.
I don’t know what the conditions are for obtaining a gambling license from Curacao - is it necessary to disclose information about the founders of a legal entity, confirm the authorized capital and similar issues, perhaps it’s enough to just pay for the license. But finding information on the real owners of online casinos (legal entities) is very problematic. Such nuances cause mistrust.

No, this is just how technologies evolve...

You get a pioneer with a good idea and they become very successful... then other people see their success and they start to copycat them. Some of them try to make a success of this, but some scammers also see an opportunity to exploit this, so they jump on the opportunity to scam people.

This is not just happening with online Crypto casinos.... just look at all the scams with ICO's and ShitCoins.  Roll Eyes

Similar fraud schemes have appeared for a long time. Cloning websites of banks and online stores is used in phishing attacks. So Crypto as a whole is not to blame for the current situation.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading new listed coin/token on: December 19, 2023, 07:33:54 PM
Fake volume is rampant on exchanges. Fake trades are also rampant. Bots are all over exchanges as well. These are obvious. Volume has to go up or else the newly listed coin/token will not be attractive to the real traders and could be delisted sooner or later. Liquidity has to be high. This is the reason why fake orders have to be made. Whether this directly involves Binance or not probably depends on the coin, but the development team is probably at the forefront of this.
Fake volumes in this case are the result of MM’s work, and not “drawn” by the CEX exchange. So it was and so it will be. The benefit always remains with the exchange (trading fee, withdrawal fee) and MM (here you can also include the owners of TG/DC channels who are catching up with the main asset with their subscribers).
143  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: December 19, 2023, 06:41:05 PM
if KYC is needed, it should be requested as soon as people register. Asking for KYC only when people have funds stuck is a douchebag move, and any company that does this will lose me as a client.
I am sure that 90% of existing online casinos will do exactly this (except for the conditionally top 10). We believe that every client is important for a casino, but in fact they have a huge turnover of newboo players and they all generate income. 1 regular player can be equal to 10 new players, for example, in terms of the benefit received by the casino, but already 15 new players are more interesting than a regular player. Besides, what can you do to a casino? Most often, the “hanging” win will be less than the cost of the legal costs of trying to get this win.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: X Chain, Where Altcoins Thrive Safely on: December 18, 2023, 06:26:07 PM
Where are the specifics about the project? There is no link to the site, no whitepaper, no official channels in X, DCS, TG. Maybe you are running a testnet. More information is needed, but from what is indicated we only see a desire to sell some tokens. Another implementation of the atomic bridge and competition with Polkadot?
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we reduce the energy consumption of POW? And whether it is necessary on: December 18, 2023, 03:00:47 PM
To be provably secure, it has to utilise 51% of matter-energy kinda like a black hole. If the energy consumption is figured out then it needs something else i.e. matter. I can't see a way out of this circle. Then there's the famous formula E=mc˛.

Could using non-computing devices solve this problem? Such as storage devices?

Of course, I know that there have been hard disk mining before, but in my opinion they were not successful. There seemed to be some loopholes in the design of the mining algorithm, which caused the storage capacity of the entire network to reach an unrealistic value.

maybe we can solve this problem
You want to adjust the fundamental laws of physics to suit you. The very definition of electric current, without which mining is impossible, implies the release of thermal energy. From own example, we know that we have gone from miniature USB block eruptors and VGA to “monstrous” ASICs. First there was scaling (increasing the number of transaction processing devices), and then combining the set into one device and reducing its size. Of course, we are faced with an increase in electrical energy and an increase in heat generation.
If we change the BTC algorithm, we can process transactions even on calculators and smart watches, but then we will face a threat to the existence of the blockchain itself. What is important is the speed of transaction processing (and of course decentralization), and not just the fact that such processing is possible.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: December 17, 2023, 03:23:08 PM
We need to keep our eyes on trend because that is where we can get high profits from the market.
There are so many cryptocurrency projects in the market and we can't invest in all so all we need from do is to look for reliable and strong projects that can give us profits before moving to the next one. That is how to make money from the market without stress.
I would say that there are always two parallel types of crypto assets in trend: BTC with altcoins in general and shitcoins with NFTs. Yes, in my opinion, long-term projects can be trendy because they are often the basis for new projects. At the same time, shieldcoins have forever found their niche in this big game.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe part 2 on: December 17, 2023, 08:34:07 AM
This news was about Ledger's library and has been made some topics on certain sections of the forum. But as you're pointing out the safety of everyone and with wallets we use.

The problem starts with the person who owns a wallet. If you're careful and regardless of the wallet you use, of course the official ones. You're unlikely to get phished or hacked.

Monitor your internet activity and the websites you're browsing especially the applications that you're downloading. Because most of these hacks start from people's negligence.

Moreover, storing coins on Ledger is safe in itself - offline. We are exposed to danger only at the moment of connecting it to any site (market, CEX/DEX, etc.) - online. And this incident in itself with duplication of the “Wallet Connect” window revealed the inattentiveness of users. The simplest risk assessment will lead to the conclusion that your crypto assets should be divided into operational expenses and savings, as CEX (cold/hot wallets) do. That is, you can have two Ledgers, if of course we are talking about hardware crypto wallets.
148  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: December 16, 2023, 02:54:44 PM
One of the aspects that make gamblers to lose more money than what they had budgeted for the night is a sense of unfairness when they have played for a long period of time and then as soon as they get up another gambler gets to win on that slot machine.

So the next time they are gambling on slots and they have run out of money they cannot help to think that if they gambled a little bit more they could recover the money they have lost, which is why it is very common to find disputes among gamblers when it comes to the rights to a particular slot machine, disputes that sometimes even escalate to a fist fight.
Because this is the basis of a person, whatever you call it: instinct, the principle of competition, to be the first and the best in any situation. But this player behavior is typical for offline casinos. In an online casino, when a player’s deposit approaches 0 casino, it is easier to “throw” him a small win so that he continues to play. But we believe in the integrity of the casino  Grin
149  Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses on: December 15, 2023, 07:51:51 PM

On top of this, one of the problems is that a lot of sites now use KYC as their excuse but were planning to steal the money anyways, so then you've given them your full identity and documents when they were already planning to scam, just making it more dangerous

Yes, in such a scenario, KYC is an element of risk assessment - whether your money can be stolen without problems or not. They evaluate first of all your jurisdiction - whether you can file a lawsuit against them. And only then being on sanctions lists and the like.
It all comes back to each individual, if KYC is really problematic, you should not gamble at a casino that asks you for KYC, but if KYC is not a problem for you, you should look for a site that really has a good reputation on this forum, never give out your identity. in casinos that have just been announced on this forum because it is clearly very dangerous and risky that you might experience.

So far I personally have never sent any ID to the casino just filled in the information data for them at level 1 but usually that's not a problem for me because I'm just a small gambler who bets with less money than a rich gambler who makes bigger bets. Larger ones are usually always vulnerable to strict regulations to prevent money laundering, so it comes back to each individual's view of KYC, whether they are comfortable or not, they should be able to choose it.

This is not about what someone can or cannot pass the KYC. And that hypothetically there is a ranking of players depending on their citizenship. That is, a player from the Top 10 countries (US, UK, GE) will not have problems withdrawing his winnings, like a player from Bangladesh (no offense).

Well time to get out your old wallets its kicking off again.

The explorer says Block 1 is on Dec 6th of this year:

If I had an old Bellscoin wallet I could use it and my coins would be there?
It’s unlikely, because your transactions and, as a result, the coins in your wallet are not included in these blocks (since 6 Dec), they were in a different chain. I would call the real incarnation of Bells a fork of the original project.

It's interesting to watch the old "hot" scrypt in 2023. These are not undervolts with silent mods. The last time I started mining on it was either on 5870 or 7950.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 15, 2023, 06:22:44 AM
Yes, Monero is a great example in terms of confidentiality of transactions. My friend mined Monero two years ago and transferred it from the pool to his wallet. The wallet is not active (it was created on a local PC only for withdrawing coins from the exchange, the seed phrase was stored separately). A couple of months ago, when he wanted to sell his coins, he discovered that his wallet was empty. Someone a year and a half ago simply stole all the coins in one transaction. At about 3 am, i.e. direct access to the PC is excluded and at that time he himself could not withdraw the coins and forget.
Does he have leads on who's the potential culprit with the said hack? if it's a direct access then that only means that there's someone from his home that have done it.

There are no assumptions. Direct interference is almost 100% excluded: no one had access to his PC and there are no people around him who understand cryptocurrencies. The only thing I can assume is that the seed phrase was stolen during the installation of the wallet by some type of Trojan or the version of the wallet was compromised. Plus he used a Mac.

For now, I don't know what the next bull trend would be but I think we should just keep our eyes on meme coins because that is the current trend that we are. This bull run is going to be huge and profitable for those that are holding meme coin with potential.
A better trend might come after the this meme coin trend but we just have to keep our eyes on meme and take the profits as soon as possible and we don't have to hold for too long because the market is unpredictable. Let's go for what's trending.
You know that 99% of meme coins are shitcoins created by their creators to receive fast money. It is very difficult to find a gem in this pile of shitcoins and invest in it.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 14, 2023, 07:19:54 PM
From memecoins to nft's etc what do you think will be the next hype of 2024 or 2025? I personally think of real utility and true privacy. I think CBDC's and constant blockchain tracking will scare a lot of people and they will want true privacy something that monero can bring. Privacy by default is what will be highly desired and needed in the coming future as it will be highly beneficial. Nobody wants to be tracked 24/7 of everything they do.

What do you think?

In a bull market, the “pumping” of NFTs on both Solana and ETH begins with renewed vigor, and Polygon follows them.

We've got projects already that dealt with privacy, Monero is one and the government can't even stand with it because of what it offers so they're pressuring exchanges to delist it. How about ETFs? like just applications and no need for them for any approval and it's just all about hype.
There's already an ETF application for Ethereum and that's what these institutions want for it. They only just want to file and see how the market reacts.

154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano, XRP and LINK "massive giveaway" scams on: December 14, 2023, 03:54:28 PM
This sounds funny to me since I don't fall for giveaways on social media but this is a serious matter. I've seen some AI videos myself and I agree that there are still ways to recognize that it's fake so imagine if they become more refined in the coming years. YT and other platforms with video sharing should be quick to address this.
I agree with you, every day on Twitter messages containing information about giveaways and airdrops are sent en masse. All this is confirmed by screenshots and “Musk personally”. But with video things are more complicated. As they say DYOR. I myself recently reacted in the Discord channel to a chat message about token claiming (because this event was officially supposed to happen) and went to the site where I connected my wallet. And only when the wallet asked me to authorize a transaction for the entire amount of USDT, I realized that I was very mistaken. I was lucky and there was no ETH on my wallet to pay for the fee  Grin
155  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: December 12, 2023, 01:03:53 PM

In the event that you're looking for a casino site that is legitimate, how do you do it? because I myself have played on a site that gave me a big win, and I withdrew all the winnings but I waited a long time for the payment of the winnings that I got, and in the end I got nothing, because the site did not pay the winnings that I had withdrawn or I cashed out. also they even locked my account that had received a big win. this is my experience in online slot gambling and because of this incident I am always careful in choosing online gambling sites.

and this did not happen only to me, my friend also experienced the same thing as me, sadly the winnings that my friend got were bigger than the winnings I got. of course this is not a good thing, because I feel cheated so I tried to communicate with the staff on the site but there was no more response. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.
Such as u a negative experience is indicative of the online casino industry. There should be a division into “classic” casinos with a personal account and KYC (and the chance of being robbed by such a casino) and sites similar to DEX, that is, essentially representing sets of smart contracts for emulating a specific slot machine. Such smart contracts, of course, must have an independent audit, which in turn will be a guarantee for the player to receive his winnings and the absence of “tricks”. Of course, in this case there is no game account and each bet is a transaction, but who said that this should be implemented on expensive ETH?
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: karlsencoin(KLS) mining on: December 11, 2023, 05:32:33 PM
What's new
New pools for miners
Listing on Coingeco
Added delta tracker
Miner updates
Dual mining on Rigel
Whitepepper
Web wallet

Almost 70,000 miners
670 Th network
Price 0.12
https://t.me/KartavKanaLL/10291

For beginners and for saving time, mobile and web wallets are very convenient. But to store coins, I would only trust the wallet (seed phrase) created through the console karlsenwallet. However, when synchronizing blocks via karlsend, disconnects occur quite often (I don’t understand what caused them) and the daemon begins synchronization not from the break point (the last block) but from the very beginning. I spent about two hours to successfully synchronize.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is FLOWCOIN vs FLOW COIN. on: December 10, 2023, 06:40:00 PM
The FLOW coin has its own wallet https://port.onflow.org/
I use it.

If you have a coin on this smart contract, then it is Wrapped Flow WFLOW
0x5c147e74D63B1D31AA3Fd78Eb229B65161983B2b

One of our miners received a similar coin, and after trying to sell it, he lost all the coins in his wallet. It was a fraudulent smart contract.
For FLOW I use the Blocto wallet. But you are absolutely right that a certain token called “FLOWTOKEN” has nothing to do with the real FLOW coin.

So I got an air drop of a coin called FLOWCOIN  it was worth 10 bucks it now says it is worth 1800 bucks.

I can't seem to figure out if it is this coin.

A typical trick of scammers: airdrop of tokens that have a mention of well-known tokens in their name (USDT, Tron, Matic) and when you try to sell them (for example, on Uniswap) you lose money for the fee network and in the end the exchange transaction does not go through (you receive a message about the error). Check such tokens (their smart contracts) at least through Etherscan - it often flags “problematic” tokens.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC20 or BEP20? on: December 10, 2023, 06:12:41 PM
I think bep20 and trc20 also cheaper gas fees but most of people use it bep20 for low network fees with faster transaction. You should avoid erc20 network because there has lot of gas fees which isn’t comfortable for small and middle class investors.
It all depends on the ultimate purpose of using the TRC-20/BEP-20. If this is a simple transfer between exchanges, then you should rely on the cost of the transaction, as well as the minimum amount of tokens for withdrawal/deposit and the exchange’s support of the required USDT standard. If we are talking about withdrawing tokens to your wallet, then do not forget that not all software wallets support TRC-20.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDM to USDT on: December 09, 2023, 03:59:52 PM
What is a multi-bank exchange? If there is no possibility of direct exchange, then I use an intermediate token. For example, BUSD (while it is still supported; fee 0.5BUSD). Of course, you need to be prepared for some losses when swapping and transferring between chains, but it is better to have something than just have a “dead” coin.
160  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 09, 2023, 01:06:23 PM
Even if they learn staking and do it to keep them 21 days away from gambling  but how sure we are that they will not look for another funds to gambling and deposit ?  because there are some gamblers that wanted to keep their funds safer from gambling but cannot prevent themselves to gamble and keeps looking for chance and money to bet.

OP clearly created the topic to promote his YouTube channel, and not to provide real advice to gaming addicts. If we consider the problem like other addictions - drug addiction, alcoholism, then nothing prevents the addicted player from “pawning” his crypto wallet (seed phrase) to any interested person/pawnshop. There is only one way out: no money - no problems.
