Thanks for all the feedback guys.
We are especially interested if the number of options and the suggested logos are fine.
As for preferences, I think the overall preference of the community will become visible during the vote.
Thanks.
IMO these tree option are enough, i dont see any point to add any options. Keep it simple ! NEM is starting look more and more promising as a time pass towards the launch! Keep up the good work dev-team! ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) I agree, I am comfortable with at least 2 of those 3 logos being the final one. Glad we are close to the end of the logo debate ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I'm developing a 2d arcade game called Hitbox. Images linked below. I really wanted to launch my own cryptocoin to be entirely distributed via this game and others to follow later. Also a retro style arcade site for those games, but if this course interests anyone here, maybe it could have coin2 integration instead. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fnickquest.com%2Fhitbox-walk.gif&t=662&c=EvMb1konMvJ80Q) So I guess I am basically asking if you can or would want to incorporate c2 into my game or not. It's still early in the production, but I have done a substantial amount of the graphics already and I think it could be completed pretty quickly. The programmer I'm working with is using Unity. Does this sound good to anyone? I sent this message to a few of the devs directly. I can't comprehend why more people don't do this, not just for coin2, but for coins in general. Great Idea nickquest

How can i buy more NEM without installing the next client? There is an online wallet? Use the SAE we have been talking about. It's a browser wallet, don't have to download a thing. Easy instructions at: http://news.nemcoin.com/buy-nemstake-with-bitcoin/Just skip the bitcoin buying step if you want to buy with Nxt. This logo is awesome. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Logo is looking quite nice indeed ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

1. Buy up large amounts of coins from unknown devs that are likely about to be voted onto Mintpal or wherever else people are spending lots of BTC to get their coin onto an exchange.
2. Sell hard within hours after a coin hits an exchange for the first time.
3. Use your profits to buy the same coin at the lowest price possible and then sell them at the lowest price possible.
4. Repeat for as long as you can, until you are at break-even.
5. True altruists will spend extra BTC trying to lower their prices even further.
If everyone gets on board and knows how to identify the potential scamcoins right away, it will be no longer profitable for their cheesy devs and they will at least have to up their game a little bit.
Great idea, but we would need a huge army of people, and a lot of capital.

Have you looked into NEM, or NXT Like EvilDave mentioned? You can buy either with BTC real easily here: http://www.secureae.com/NEM is worth a lot, and isn't even in beta yet, and Nxt has a crapload of inovation and media attention recently.

What's POI explained in really dummied down terms? PoI: It takes into account your account balance (Like PoS), but it also uses many other factors besides account balance. It examines how helpful you are for the network, such as how many transactions you make. It also takes into account many other things, and a lot of time has been put into the algorithm to make sure it isn't gameable. PoI will give incentive to use your NEM, rather than just to sit on it. Exact definitions of how PoI works I'm sure will be made public at a later time.

Pardon my ignorance but i'm a bit confused got few questions
1- is there's an explanation for dummies?
2- after launch can we mine the coin or is it 100% POS for stakeholders
3- importance score do we keep that after launch or we have to start all over?
4 - the coin we have right now do we keep it or it just has no value?
Thanks in advance
ps would appreciate some test coins plz
If you read the first page of this post you should have a good idea of whats going on You can also check out my news site (in my sig, it has a good FAQ by TauMuon) There is very little hardware mining. It is called "harvesting", and it uses a POI algorithm. On the exterior yes, it will appear similiar to POS. It will not use asics or anything like that, you can harvest this coin with a raspberry pi. POI score depends on transactions as well as balance, as well as other factors. Importance Score, Coins, etc, will all be reset before launch. This is just Alpha, real NEM will come in Beta.

How do they handle the problem of chargebacks? I'm pretty sure you can only cashout your NXT to a credit card, not the other way around.
|
|
|
Maybe I'm missing something, but it looks like you can only cash out NXT directly to your credit card (which is pretty cool), but can you really buy NXT with a credit card? I see other options, "buy NXT with OKpay" and stuff like that.

The ticker for NEM needs to start with an X. The possibilities are XNM, XEM, XNE. Of these, I really think XEM looks a lot better. Other people on Trello thought so too.
Thanks for the post jabo38, this is an important question for NEM. Maybe we should start a poll so everyone can express their opinion. Personally I like both XNM and XEM. I am not sure how XNM could be pronounced. I prefer XEM because it could be pronounced "ZEM," which sounds kinda cool ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Also, the N in NEM means "new," but in 100 years, will it still be considered "new"? Phasing out the "N" wouldn't be a bad idea at all. I think XNM visually looks better, but have to agree with you on all other points.

I think XNM would be the most recognizable, (NM still kinda spells out nem if you try to pronounce it). Though I may be in the minority. XEM isn't bad, I just personally like the way XNM looks. Edit: Don't think this is the right link:

Any new news as to when Nem will launch?

idea?
Allow external developers to program models/levels/mods etc and sell as add on for c2 via marketplace feature?
That would be cool, I like building multiplayer maps. what engine is this game built on by the way? Unreal Engine 4 I can say for sure that when we are talking about pro fps games - UE4 is one of the world's finest. CoC the Coin2 game will be not some simple shooter but the mind blowing ultra cool game. UE4 is truly next gen. Most definitely, I have been looking for an excuse to use UE4 since it was released. (like Unreal Tournament isn't enough lol) http://www.polygon.com/2014/5/8/5695404/unreal-tournament-new-2014-free-unreal-engine-4-epic-games

I know this is crazy, but I just purchased some NEMstake, but it seems like considering they still don;t know how to disperse it, how do I have any guarantees to receive it?
It's not that they don't know how to disperse it, it's just that the best method of doing so hasn't been decided yet. That worries me a bit but I will just wait until September. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I don't think it should worry you, theoretically it could be done today manually.
