Unfortunatly For the moment im completely tied up in Crypti at the moment. As soon as the funds become available to me I wil invest in NEM. If I understand correctly I will get 1mio NEM for 1 token bought on SAE, and the price of NEM is about 1/4 of nxt right?

Cheers

One NEMStake token on the NXT AE queals 1 Mio NEM yes. Since we haven't decided yet what happens with unclaimed stakes it might even be more.

The NEM price will decouple from NXT as soon as we are traded on exchanges. It's currently coupled because we're only traded on the NXT AE and havent launched yet.

Welcome Smiley

RelaxedSense was right, anyone can buy NEMstake with bitcoin through the SAE (Secure Asset Exchange). Welsey has worked closely in setting it up.
More info on SAE >>>> https://nxtforum.org/secure-asset-exchange/introduction-to-secure-asset-exchange/
SAE Site for NEM >>>> https://trade.secureae.com/#12465186738101000735

Also if jaguar, gimre et al implement multisignature in NEM then it will be possible to set up NEM/[Other Coin] Universal Multigateway exchanges. You just need 3 technical and trusted NEMsters to run the servers. This is cutting out the middlemen of Mintpal, Bittrex etc in an almost decentralised way.

I thought i'd share this here:

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/gold-companies-rushing-bitcoin/2014/07/11

I've no idea of the accuracy or legitimacy of the article, but if true, this is absolutely HUGE news - for all crypto's.

I'm one of those individuals who believes Gold and Silver are real money - Crypto's are a very nice solution to a monetary system that is flawed, but crypto's are themselves flawed in the sense that their value isn't backed by anything.

If we get crypto's backed by Gold and other real, tangible assets (You seriously can't get better then gold or silver, though) Then, well, these are very exciting times indeed. I've faith that Crypto's are a solution to the current monetary system we are enslaved by, but it needs something like Gold and Silver to gain the confidence and stability they deserve.

this is Really Huge News!

Gold is money for dudes riding on horses and living in houses made of stone and dirt.

Bitcoin is money for people riding the information highway and living on the 16th floor in a city of millions.

This post by Daedelus is pretty huge news too. When NXT MGW is up and going it would be pretty awesome for people to be able to buy and sell NEM with bitcoin or doge or Litecoin or whatever their preference in a quasi-trustees environment. It's not trustless, but pretty close.

Crypto currency is to date the most innovative way of transacting.

But its the special qualities of gold that has made it last thousands of years as real money.

Use crypto currency , save in gold.

You don't have to wait for NXT Multigateway (MGW). The dev James released Universal Multigateway (uMGW) as he won't have the resources to support all coins and pairs that come along, the communities can do it for themselves.

MGW allows NXT/Other coin
uMGW allows NEM/other coin. Then you can trade NEM/BTC or NEM/DOGE, as many pairs as the community wants to add.

I don't think you can do NEMstake/BTC, NEMstake/DOGE .... Not yet at least but James is planning asset to asset trading (NEMstake/jl777hodl for example) so I imagine this will still support NEMstake/crypto.

But multisig needs to be supported first.

You have absolutely no idea what wealth or value really is do you?

Don't worry, you're not alone. Thats the tragedy of this entire situation, and ironically why Crypto's exist in the first place. It's precisely peoples ignorance of value, currency or money that they've been exploited with a FIAT system for so long. That exploitation is what lead to a loss of faith in FIAT's and people seeking out alternatives -- Bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency is the best solution to the fiat system we have today, but nothing ever tops gold as a store of value. gold or silver getting into cryptocurrency is going to help stabilize their value, and give confidence and faith in them as currencies.

Use the SAE we have been talking about. It's a browser wallet, don't have to download a thing.
Easy instructions at: http://news.nemcoin.com/buy-nemstake-with-bitcoin/
Just skip the bitcoin buying step if you want to buy with Nxt.

Logo is looking quite nice indeed  Wink
