143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON (TRX) Scam on: September 30, 2019, 05:08:23 AM
The question is, Do you have a working project like Tron?
Can you make a transaction like fast as TRON? No, you can't. all these guys say it's just mere speculation.
And this thread starter will be going to embarrass himself throughout the Century if this thread still exists.

Exactly, the Tron ecosystem is working very well. More and more dapps everyday, with a higher transaction volume than ethereum and eos. something is really happening, they are being used, it's not only speculation on exchanges.

144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are IEO's bad? on: September 30, 2019, 01:10:25 AM
Supermarkets: are they good bad?

You are asking the wrong question. The important is what are you buying there. Both Ethereum and Bitconnect came from ICOs, are ICOs good or bad? Who bought Eth at ICO price and sold at 1k usd got a huge profit. The project is alive and evolving. Other people lost everything holding Bitconnect. Use your brain.

145  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Piramideiros!!! postem aqui!!! on: September 30, 2019, 12:59:34 AM

146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Security Tokens Vs Utility Tokens — How extraordinary would they say they are? on: September 29, 2019, 10:45:18 AM
I still can't understand why many security token projects are failing they should be doing better than the other because of the features of security tokens, its way better and secured than others so why are they failing? are they been creates or build by bad developers or people don't just have interest in them?

Maybe cause they are frauds? Tongue Depends on which tokens you are talking about, "security" does not mean "safe". It means that they may generate dividends for their holders, that's all. They are not safer by definition. If the business is not going well, the tokens won't worth much. The same thing happens here often with people saying IEO is better than ICO and they should be a success. This is silly. It depends on each project being a success. There is no magic formula.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: September 28, 2019, 04:34:37 AM
Not sure about that... could be, but it's still something that needs to evolve and gain confidence from the public. There are many ATMs from different companies and most people around the world report that fees or exchange rates are too high. Still lacks competition and a good offer of options.

Sometimes they may be useful for tourists, for an emergency withdrawal, but not for regular use. I never tried, but I heard about ATMs owned by a ponzi company, where you could only buy to "invest" in their scheme. Unfortunately the bad players may cause the opposite, being the reason for more FUD about it...  Embarrassed
148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 10% ROI every day offer? on: September 27, 2019, 10:19:17 PM
Please use your brain!!!!! For the sweet love of all things please use your head.
If you even considering investing then you truelly are a fool. Can you do arithmetic? Is your IQ at least 100? You can use google? You can think?
I cannot believe people fall for this when good money could be invested on legit projects.

Greediness often prevent people from using their brains. 10% daily is crazy haha even 2% or 3%. No mining, trading, arbitrage robot can do this successfully and regularly. Newbies hear about high gains in the crypto market, and they really may happen, but there are also big losses every day. No continuous gain. There's no need to investigate much to say that some things are frauds.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt disappointment on: September 27, 2019, 07:25:14 PM
How many of you guys feel disappointed about how bakkt did nothing to crypto market price but shrink it down to where it is today? i am one of those who think bakkt will have huge impact on crypto market since 2018 so here we are today and things went sideways

No reason for that. If many people are expecting the same thing probably the big investors will do a different move. People should stop expecting swings from the news and stick to fundamentals. FOMO/FUD patterns will just lead you to bankruptcy  Tongue
150  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: SATOSHI NAKAMOTO STATUE on: September 26, 2019, 11:49:29 PM
I do not understand as in other countries would accept to put an anonymous person's statue

They wouldn't. Maybe a museum could accept a well elaborated concept, but I guess that's not the case. You need an artist for that, and the op is not willing to pay for one, only for the bronze. Best chances are with Belarus dictatorship, they want to attract more crypto investors there.
151  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Finansing NASA with military budget on: September 26, 2019, 05:19:10 AM
Just imagine what we could discover if the financing between space exploration and military switched.  Shocked
What are your thoughts about what we could achieve?  Roll Eyes
By the way, is the military spending really necessary?

The technology developed by NASA is also useful for the air force and some are for the civilian consumer market. Now look at that chart and imagine what US could achieve switching from weapons to health care. But unfortunately the priorities are different, and many "pro-life" dudes would kill you to keep these things as they are.
152  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: SATOSHI NAKAMOTO STATUE on: September 26, 2019, 12:19:51 AM
Funny: the tophat is a must.

If there were a way to aggregate all the different visualisations that people from all over the world and from different cultures, and make that the work of art?

Incorporate digital, peer-to-peer... maybe even the infrastructure of Bitcoin itself, how it keeps being added in supply? I'm thinking: a growing statue that halves it rate of growing every halving event. Or a digital representation of all the different inputs changing control between different owners.

Maybe it need not be a statue, in that sense, the ideal.

Because that was, more than any physical iteration, what Satoshi Nakamoto was (and is today), isn't it?

making it interactive with a dapp would be great  Roll Eyes would work on eos, tron or stellar, I guess.
Unfortunately not all networks are ready for this kind of work yet  Tongue
153  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC cashback scam? Need your opinion and advice on: September 24, 2019, 08:55:48 PM
There are legit cashback programs paying BTC and they tend to become more popular. But before installing any app always look for references, reviews.
Cashback programs have nothing to do with mining, they are partnerships of apps and stores for advertising and loyalty rewards.

I know these ones:

https://www.lolli.com
https://getpei.com
https://cashback.coingolive.com

I'm not sure about their availability, I believe only lolli is global.
154  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: SATOSHI NAKAMOTO STATUE on: September 24, 2019, 08:40:58 PM
Material = BRONZE

SIZE = ? (Give me some ideas)

NOTE ! I will reject any offers that will request a payment for design e.t.c...

Best Regards
Alex.

will the bronze be donated?

I think that maybe if you made satoshi using a Mask like the famous comic book V for Vendetta one.

I searched on Google "Bitcoin Vendetta' and found this, which would make a nice statue, or an interesting idea to evolve.
https://www.dowallet.app/blog/b-for-bitcoin.html

Not a bad idea by the way.

Guy Fawkes mask is copyrighted, Time Warner owns its rights.

https://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/29/technology/masked-anonymous-protesters-aid-time-warners-profits.html

if you like this reference, the old faceless anonymous would make more sense.

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Token Swaps Kill The Idea Of Hodling on: September 24, 2019, 07:29:08 AM
Well... at the moment people should be happy if their erc20 project is still alive Cheesy If you are holding something at least sign up for a newsletter. Send emails to subscribers is the minimum a team should do.

I had no problem with swaps before, two of my eth tokens made it. Open Platform did not migrate to a new blockchain, but they made a new contract and gave a bonus for hodlers, the process was a bit laborious, but everything went well. HPB was fast and eas. Now Sandblock is doing it, they just asked to send tokens from their app to our ethereum wallet, waiting for next steps...

but it's true that sometimes the lack of communication from the teams may lead to disasters.. this one (cures token) locked all bounty/airdrops tokens by smart contract. People were unaware of this, here is the result: https://etherscan.io/address/0x90d2f949ceafedfabd4bbb15c1f70ba9c7a17f2e A thousand failed transactions and wasted gas.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption! Finally? on: September 24, 2019, 07:09:45 AM

The common ground for all to use bitcoin is the mobile phones, almost the entire population in the world uses phones and since these developments like telegram and LINE is now developing their project, its sure to be a good sign for adoption. Its a gradual adoption though which isn't making an impression for users who are new to crypto. They expect quick changes but the prices going to the different direction.

Will make a big difference when smartphones' operation systems start coming with cryptocurrency wallets by default, and I think this day is near. The adoption may be so fast as the adoption of the smartphone happened. According to the news, the phone sales have been decreasing, they have reached a stagnation point. Prices need to fall, it's the only way to reach and connect more people.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are Bill Gates & Buffet anti-crypto? Heavily invested in the current system on: September 24, 2019, 05:23:11 AM
Because they are old, maybe? Microsoft has made countless wrong choices for decades, their successful products are still the same. They buy something successful and ruin it. Why do people insist on believing that billionaires should always be right? They got it right in the past and have enough to make mistakes often because the system protects them in so many ways.
159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Facebook misleading people about Libra fake coin. on: September 22, 2019, 08:49:37 PM
I haven't seen this one yet Cheesy

There are many people on Facebook also sharing the "uplibra airdrop", clearly a badly done scam with a horrible "logo".

I don't know how anyone can believe this.

160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Governance. What could be done here? on: September 22, 2019, 07:11:59 AM
As you may know, the EOS block producers are concentrated in China and many are exchanges.
Share your thoughts, constructive comments please Tongue

Why I thought that exchanges in China are rare. So they are not? Which exchanges are this EOS block producers?

I didn't say the exchanges are in China, I said that block producers are concentrated in China, and many are exchanges. Not necessarily exchanges are in China Cheesy Maybe I didn't express myself well. Three big ones are in the top 10: okex, huobi and bitfinex. Also whalex #10 and newdex #11.

Here is the rank of block producers https://eosauthority.com/producers_rank

About Block. One, I think they have to step in.

yes, but how? they will be accused of centralization anyway. I guess it's the reason why they did not vote.
