461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS or ETH, which one is preferable?? on: July 24, 2018, 03:46:08 AM
Vitalik also continue improve the ETH transactions by increasing it up to 1 Million per seconds so if this will become a success then maybe it will may equal the Bitcoin market performance in the future.
when when? Cheesy

despite all critics about the governance model, eos already can handle more transactions, and no gas fees, for the general public this is probably the most important.

For now eth is widely accepted and most icos are running there. I think we will see eos ecosystem grow in the next couple of years, with more user friendly apps and eos tokens becoming more popular.. there are some icos starting there and few ones are already on exchanges.
464  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Adoption of crypto-payments in buses on: July 22, 2018, 03:04:24 PM
I just came across this news about a Brazilian company that now accepts 3 cryptocurrencies (BTC, BCH and LTC) to book their tickets. The payment method is quite simple, just with a code in a screen, no complex technologies nor terminals. It is unclear how they handle network congestion and how many confirmations are required.

This is the source

I also seem to recall that there is an airport in Australia accepting crypto and at least one airline, but I don´t remember which one.

If anyone from Brazil could comment on this news it would be nice.

these are travel buses, and the companies are only in southern states. tickets are bought previously, never inside the bus.
It's just to make the news, I don't think people are spending btc on this.
465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TOKENIZATION OF ASSETS on: July 22, 2018, 12:54:08 AM
I have heard about this but it's unrealistic IMO making real assets converted to digital and the place where other things you want to know has been said by HCP.

why unreal? it's like saying that bitcoin is not real money... I rarely carry cash, I use a card all the time. Too many things are already digital and blockchain can bring more transparency and remove the middlemen, making them more efficient and cheaper.

a real use case, tokenizing a gem (larimar) to regulate the market:

this system will start working this year, it's already happening...

466  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How educate yourself about crypto? on: July 22, 2018, 12:28:35 AM
most people don't know but it's good to check how it started...

bitcoin whitepaper https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf
old satoshi texts and forum posts https://satoshi.nakamotoinstitute.org/

some basic knowledge, understanding better the problems they were trying to solve,
will make easier to get the differences between other projects / blockchains.

468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between Ethereum and Bitcoin? on: July 20, 2018, 05:47:59 PM
Both are crypto and have almost same function. But bitcoin started earlier and is thus costly.

no, they have different purposes. try to read the previous comments before stating something you don't know.
469  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy btc and eth with a bank card? on: July 20, 2018, 05:31:51 PM
I'm looking for a platform to buy btc and eth with the help of a bank card. It should be a reliable platform with good reputation and work without problems.
If you know any, please, share your suggestions.

Try to find a local exchange. Some international exchanges accept cards, like changelly and coinbase,
if they are available in your country, but the prices may be higher due to usd rates and additional fees.

471  Local / Brasil / Re: Exchanges Brasileiras on: July 20, 2018, 12:06:35 AM

472  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Re: Coinbase anuncia possivel listagem e 5 moedas Valorizam on: July 19, 2018, 08:43:44 PM
Aquela velha história de subir no boato. Tinha algumas cardanos hj aqui e liquidei logo pela manhã

473  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Re: Coinbase anuncia possivel listagem e 5 moedas Valorizam on: July 19, 2018, 08:42:31 PM
"Avaliando" - parece que qualquer boato que espalha em relação à essas altcoins menores já é um motivo para um pump/dump enorme no preço delas. E quanto às moedas listadas eu só acho que eles deviam dar mais prioridade para criptos que não são derivados do ethereum (nisso o myetherwallet faz um serviço bem melhor).

derivadas do eth? quais? ja usou a stellar dex?
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum a threat to bitcoin on: July 19, 2018, 06:35:46 PM
Ethereum is a threat to bitcoin? Yes it is. We all know that ethereum was created by a russian programmer on 2013, and it was launched on 2015. After 3 years it is next to bitcoin in terms of popularity and value.

Let me show you some NBA perspective on this, bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency right? same as LeBron as the king of NBA. But here comes ethereum the prince of cryptocurrency just like Ben Simmons as the prince of the NBA. The prince will dethrone the king on the eastern conference finals same as ethereum that will dethrone bitcoin in the next couple of years. Wether we like it or not the king will reach its limit. Mark my word. Trust the ethereum process!

King? Lebron? This is not a sport and no one will get a ring... btc and eth have different purposes.

"King of crypto", "digital gold", "digital silver" all this is BS. Stick to technical reports, not metaphors.
The market is crazy because most people are totally lost like this, that's why people fall for any scam that "is going to the moon" Grin
475  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hijab for Muslim is for the sake of mutual benefit on: July 18, 2018, 02:46:28 PM

Have you seen the state of humanity? Does this reflect rational, self-controlled beings? No, and how is this relevant?

yup, that's cause most people are not even trying, they prefer to blame someone else.

Humans do sin, everyone of them, so doing something to prevent that out of compassion,

People in most repressive societies hardly can have a healthy sexuality.

is very altruistic and should be respected not associated with terror, that is the issue here.

it's called altruism when it's not imposed. It's not terror, but seems terryfying to live feeling guilty for your own existence, being careful to avoid provoking wild instincts of very narrow minded men. Evil is not outside.

476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM or REQ? on: July 17, 2018, 08:44:46 PM
I prefer XLM. It is similar to Ripple, but more decentralized, has its own exchange, has a support of IMB and other strong partners, released its ICO (Ternio) and is definitely more stable coin than REQ during this bloodpath of crypto.

not only ternio but other good projects there - pigzbe, atlantis blue, repo, xirkle, flipnpik...
definitely xlm, great platform, decentralized exchanges, low fees.

477  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who will be the NBA champion this season? on: July 17, 2018, 08:40:09 PM
I guess it will be west vs west since Lebron James is already in Lakers.

true, but i think warriors will make it again
478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you use cryptocurrency cards? on: July 17, 2018, 08:29:41 PM
There are very convenient to use if you want easy access to your money. But to me that defeat the ideas of keeping my coins for long term since I got tempted to use those cards when am I need.

But isn't it good to use them instead of just keeping?

I see cards as an intermediary solution, cards and ATMs are the interfaces people already know and may bring more users to crypto, but the ideal solution would be to replace them and avoid those companies fees.
479  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hijab for Muslim is for the sake of mutual benefit on: July 17, 2018, 08:17:12 PM
In fact, these women just want to cover her nakedness so that men do not get sins because they see the beauty of his face. is it wrong?

human beings are rational beings capable of self-control, you are good if you do good in any circumstances.
blaming someone else for your behavior and mistakes is weakness.
